Footsteps quicken, rustling leaves that seemed to get more lifeless as she went deeper. The female Terrarian looked like an average teenager, yet despite her scrawny features, her stamina and stealth made up for measly strength. However, months of practice for stealth was useless in this situation as the girl ran towards her villages forbidden path. The typical tale of never coming back from the forbidden forest may be her only safe haven. As she looked back, soldiers in yellow, durable armour carrying large, lightweight broad swords and pistols with the firepower equivalent to powerful assault rifles, scouring the destroyed village and disposing villagers' bodies. She hoped her stealth served her well but the crunching of leaves gave way to the soldiers the tact that there was one more survivor and their duty to make sure no one is left alive. As the girl leaned back against a tree where she thought the two soldiers wouldn't find her, her self confidence crippled as she crumbled to the ground silently crying.
"No time to be crying," a voice sounded in her head. She picked herself up and peeked at the soldiers. Their armour was the product that gave away who they were instructed by: the feared Jungle Tyrant, Yharim. Her vision got blurry suddenly. The girl tried to wipe her tears off but the action of her rubbing her eyes caught the attention of one soldier
"There!" A soldier shouted. The girl, alarmed, turned around and ran only to find that up ahead was a cliff to what the village was hiding: a purple forest shrouded with hatred and corruption. Frantically looking around to get down, she felt a sharp pain at her back and saw a bullet pierce through her. Her eyes widened, and fell onto the ground, clutching her belly. Then in an instant, fatigue overwhelmed her and her vision blurred once more. The two soldiers walked over to the dying girl. One of them chuckled and used a walkie-talkie to inform that there should be no more survivors.
"Hey... isn't that the corruption? Man, this world is more filthy... I mean, our world evil is more or less eradicated, but seeing it close up... the Corruption and Crimson are... disgusting..." one of the soldiers remarked.
"да..." the other soldier replied.
"You do know I don't understand your... lingo buddy,"
"Sigh... let's just get the fuck outta here already..."
"Alright, but just for good measure," the first soldier said before shooting the dying girl once more in her chest and kicked her body off the cliff. As her body tumbled down into the darkness of the woods, her consciousness ebbed away. Just before she let go her grip on her life, the girl saw a few corruptors fly towards her.
"P-please... I...I-I... don't w-want to... die..." she sobbed before closing her eyes, unmoving. The corruptors looked at one another with pity. After some quiet discussion, they approached the fresh, dead body...
