Echo and Omni reached the foot of the hill, the entrance of a city. However, despite Echo's experience with a city, this was unlike any city she's been: The streets bustling with life, small crowds that look like dots scattered randomly, queues for stalls, some were even twice as long as others. Echo trembled in excitement, making a beeline for the city gate... did something fly past her?

A card whizzed past her, extremely close to her face. She flinched and fell sideways before hearing a loud bang. Echo looked around before picking up the card before yelping at what she saw. The card managed to block a very green coloured bullet, the card itself only had a small dent on the other side of the impact. She looked back, with Omni's hand flung out after throwing the card. Before she could register what was happening, Omni reappeared with a flash, a balisong knife in his hands, stained with blood.

"Shall we continue?" He asked with a smile. Echo stared at him blankly before stuttering a yes. The city gate was wide open and few guards. They were just chatting or playing card games, clearly uncaring the purpose of their job.

"See you on the other side," Omni whispered, tipping his fedora before disappearing. Echo nodded. She walking around the city gate, looking for any entry points. She pursed her lips, realising the only advantage she had was the element of stealth. She crept up as closely towards the gate, avoiding everything that could catch attention and expose her, till she was at a point where no guards could see her, but she could. Whilst they were fully engrossed in their topics, she dashed through quickly and silently. As she past the gates and out of any guards view, she trembled in excitement before Omni appeared behind her, getting her to shut before Echo would expose herself.

"You can probably disguise yourself by going into that crowd." He pointed. "No one is even loitering in this street. You're gonna arouse some suspicion." Echo sighed before unwillingly following his suggestion. After squeezing through the small crowds in the city square, Echo saw Omni waiting for her. As soon as she reached him, he muttered something about her free will. Squealing with excitement although it was drowned by the noise, she hurried over to an alleyway.

"Yes, the alleyways are all connected." Omni said before Echo could turn and ask. Her eyes gleamed as she thought of the many ways her theft skills could be applied.

"Yes, there is an inn," Omni said again. Echo looked at him annoyed before moving, in search of the inn while Omni chuckled. He then proceeded to levitate up. Echo looked backwards and stared in disbelief.

"Well, what's that about me exposing myself to the guards? You're the one who's gonna attract other people's attention-"

"What? I'm pretty sure the concept of flight in this world is acceptable, plus, it's not rare to see someone oddly dressed flying around without wing."

"Um, ok... gotta get me one of those..." she mumbled.

After many twist and turns, they finally found the entrance to the inn. Going around the building, Echo climbed up and opened a window. As she got in, Echo looked around for any witnesses. Upon seeing none, she giggled and covered her break-in traces.

"This way," Omni, out of nowhere, signaled her.

"The inn is... bigger than I thought..." Echo said. "It felt small on the outside."

"That's because it is, but I'm sure you won't like the explanation," Omni replied with a wink. Looking at him annoyed, they stopped in front of a lone door separated from other doors. With observation, Echo saw that in the same corridor, they stopped running past doors quite sometime ago. No one has been here recently as well.

"Well, you first." Omni said.

Echo opened the door and... well, an ordinary room. As they settled down, Omni took out a small bag.

"You're gonna need these, I'm assuming." He said as Echo turned the bag upside down.

"A balisong knife. Nothing special with it. Revolver, one shot one kill, and some vanity, to help blend in a little." Omni explained.

Echo's eyes sparkled as she picked up the gear in front of her

"One shot one kill, I mean it literally, which is why it only activates sometimes," Omni explained with a smirk. Echo looked back at him, now extremely annoyed of his shenanigans, sighed and went to the bathroom with the vanity she was given.

Night had fallen quickly as the crowds in the city dispersed as soon as dusk took almost full control of the sky. Echo sat by the bed, looking out the window, then picking up her tools for committing theft, she leaped out of the building. With no Omni in sight, she finally had the freedom to do anything. Laughing silently, she swiftly climbed to the top of a building and travelled through the silent city. After taking some daily necessities for tommorow, Echo found herself by a door to a side of a building. It looked like a headquarters of some sort, and the lights around it were still on, with muffled voices inside. Looking up at the sky for 10 seconds, she calculated that it was slightly past midnight, hence, saving exploration of the building for later.

As she reach her 'designated' room, she collapsed on the bed and was fast asleep...
