Izuku knew he had hard days to come, but didn't know it would be this intense. It wasn't something he could just prepare for either, it was something that would just happen. It was something you couldn't defeat.
Going out into public.
"Hey, if it isn't too much to ask, can someone go out and get some stuff we need? We're starting to run low on things like milk and whatnot." Said a big lipped girl from the kitchen. Those in the common area had made brief looks at one another before almost simultaneously shouting:
"NOT IT!"
With the exception being of course, Izuku. He rubbed his ears from the sudden shout and looked around confused. What did that have to do with what Rikido asked?!
That's how he learned about 'Not it.' He sighed and pulled out his phone, looking at the list he had been texted. He never noticed how huge the phone was in his hands. The damn thing was the size of his forearm. He huffed and looked up at the convenience store as he put his phone into his backpack.
He wandered through the store for a bit as he collected the items from the list, doing it all by memory alone. As the task became more monotonous, he eventually began to do it on autopilot as he payed attention to other things. Like people and their mutations, some people making minor use of their quirks for convenience. Like a lady who could extend their fingers to reach something, Izuku felt like he should remember that person.
Izuku's path would've continued had he not bumped into someone. He bounced off a muscular calf and tumbled to the floor, dropping his bags. He grumbled and quickly picked himself up as he grabbed the bags.
"Watch it!" A voice said. Izuku's head turned up as he cranked his glare up to one hundred and one, but it quickly softened into infatuation with what he saw. A big round butt, but most importantly, a rabbits tail.
The person who owned said tail was a woman with dark skin and Snow White hair. She had red eyes, and most notably, two long rabbit ears standing up and listening. Both Izuku's and the lady's eyes were locked with the same interest.
"Mommy."
"A baby."
Before either of them knew what was going on, Izuku was being held up under his arms by the blankette rabbit. Also, someone recorded the interaction. The white rabbit gently set down the green rabbit and put his bags back on to him.
"H-Hang on, stay here." She said as she shuffled off to her cart for a moment. Izuku numbly nodded in compliance, but a buzz from his phone shook the boy from his trance. He suddenly remembered when he was here as he quickly padded off to complete his task.
"Okay hold still I need to get a picture of you- Where the hell…" The white-haired woman said, now in the aisle alone.
Izuku began his trek back to the dorms with the oversized bags held as high as he could. This display got him the occasional coo he didn't bother to pay attention to, he was only focused on just getting back, the longer he was out of the sight of the heroes the longer he was in danger.
He huffed out some smoke to keep the thoughts out of his head. To pass the time, he began to think about his own abilities, his quirks, his changes.
The most obvious thing was his appearance. To his knowledge based on what he could hear while he was being changed, he was always green, and had a natural resistance to heat already. After he first woke up, it was assumed to be his rabbit looks, and his fire. Then Air Cannon when he was freed. Speaking of fire, what was that smell.
He quickly deviated from his former path, instinctively dropping to all fours as he takes up the trail, padding off into and alley after the smell of burning.
A long ways behind him the rabbit-eared woman, Rumi Usagiyama A.K.A Miruko, was following Izuku's smell.
"Now where are you going, there's fun you're gonna get to have with me…" Rumi muttered as she tracked the smaller bunny.
Random Alley
The smell of something burnt scattering into the air brought Izuku to the end of an alley. Where something hot lashed against his face. He was knocked off his feet before he popped back on to all fours and quickly was readied for conflict in order to protect his groceries. He got a better look at his attacker, who looked confused. She lowered her burnt looking hand down, taking up a surprisingly gentle gesture with it.
"Well, you're a resilient little thing aren't you?" She bent down to get to a closer level with him. Wait, does she think he's a regular rabbit?
"Aw, someone even gave you bags to hold. Aren't you smart!" She said with a slight bit of a baby voice toward him. He didn't even register that she had gotten closer for a moment. It had only clicked once she used both hands to turn him around and to then pat his butt to get him to move along.
"Well go on now, I don't have anything here for you. Can't keep you either." She said to the rabbit boy. Izuku huffed at her, unleashing a small jet of fire from his nose, not appreciating her touching his butt either and and just hopped himself away. She stared as he left in surprise.
"Huh…I just gave up a personal flamethrower. Damn." She said with realization.
U.A.
Izuku sighed with exhaustion as he finally made it back to U.A. He looked up to the gates with relief, only to find someone there who had been waiting for a while.
Ms. Kayama!
Huh, she looks a bit agitated. What's wrong with her? Well, not his problem right now. He just wanted hugs and to go back to the dorms.
"Izuku! I was supposed to be coming with you! Why didn't you wait for me-"
"Mama!" He promptly leapt into her arms and hugged her, and it proved successful in getting her to stop. Entirely. She froze, she has been waiting to hear that for a while.
"I've gotta go now. Bye." He said with a smile on his face as he began to walk off to the dorms.
"W-Wait, s-say it again…" she says weakly as she watched the bunny trot off.
Izuku happily kicked open the doors to Class 1-A's dormitory. He stomped over to the empty kitchen and just placed the items down on the kitchen table. He dusted off his hands and looked for someone to tell that he has finished this awful task.
So where was everyone? Oh well, not all that important to him, he'd hear them eventually. He padded off to his room to go back to his own business, and hopefully not get caught in a 'Not it' again.
Meanwhile, everyone was in the common room watching a video of Miruko finding her 'baby.'
