CHAPTER-4
Another month passed away. The atmosphere in the palace was tight. Plagieus was coming to see the child again. Maul was pacing the hall like a tiger. He still remembered the conversation he had with his master the previous night.
"Master, what is it? You have never contacted me like this since the time the child was born."
"Maul we have a problem." His master said through the hologram.
"What is it, master?"
"Plagieus. He is coming to see the child tomorrow."
"You still haven't killed him."
"Do you think I have no other work?"
"I thought it was the work of the Sith to overpower those above them and grow." Sidious lifted his head and glared at Maul. "I, I am sorry master. I got carried away."
"You need to be disciplined again. Don't get yourself too attached to the child. I shall come and teach you another lesson when Plagieus is gone."
"Yes master." Maul said bowing his head and upper body.
If Plagieus came, then he would take the child away. He would keep it till it grew and then would use the Sith spells and magic to convert her into a monster. Sidious was better. He would train it as it grew. He would make her a perfect Sith warrior. Perhaps if Maul was alive, he could train her a bit. Then she would be the strongest Sith. For now all Maul could think of was Plagieus. He suddenly stopped and lifted his head as he felt the familiar presence. He rushed to the door and opened it letting a figure walk in. It lowered its hood and looked around. Maul bent in front of him.
"Rise." He replied with a coarse voice. Darth Plagieus walked around the hall glancing at the Sith holocrons and artifacts. "So the child is asleep?"
"Yes, my lord." Maul replied in a tiny voice.
"Hmm, it is good. It needs rest before shifting."
"I am sorry, my lord. I do not quite get you."
"Oh so Sidious has not yet told you." Maul kept an innocent face. He shielded his thoughts from the dark lord.
"No, my lord."
"I am taking the child with me to my place. There it shall become a true Sith. Now where is your master?"
"He should be arriving at any time now, my lord."
"Hmm. Have you heard about the terror of Darth Nihilus, young one?"
"Of course, my lord. Which Sith wouldn't know the terror of the lord of hunger?"
"Good. Sidious has indeed taught you well." He said laughing. He then moved to a seat and sat. Maul stood before him with a bent head. He suddenly felt the presence he waited for. He rushed to the door and opened it. In came his master, with his cloak flying behind him. He walked forward and bent on one knee and bent his head.
"Pardon my delay, Master. I was caught up in a meeting."
"Raise my student. You are forgiven." Sidious got up and stood in front of him.
"Perhaps the lord would like some tea." He enquired with a sweet voice.
"Of course. Just do not make it too sweet."
"Indeed master, Maul why don't you make the tea?" he said looking at him. He then force communicated with him and informed him, add the drug which I had given you last month. The antidote is the bread which I had sent through another servant.
Maul nodded and left to the kitchen. Sidious moved to closer to his master. Plagieus took note of this and motioned him to sit beside him. He just smiled and sat beside the lord. Maul added the drug to the tea while preparing. He then poured it into three cups and bought them. He placed the tray on the table. Plagieus used the force and picked it. The three men drank their tea slowly. Sidious and Maul drank slower and observed as the lord drank. Then Sidious spoke, "So master, what is to happen to the child?"
"You know it don't you Sidious?"
"I do master. But yet I insist."
"Very well, I was planning to take her and train her."
"Hmm, very well master. Would you like to rest here for a couple of days master?"
"I have to attend a meet in the nest week. My reputation is very surprisingly diluting."
"That indeed is troubling to hear master."
"I know my apprentice. Maul how is your training going on?" he asked turning to Maul.
"Very well, my lord."
"Good. Say isn't it a bit too early for bed?"
"Why do you ask master?"
"I suddenly feel sleepy."
"Must be due to the journey, master. I suggest you take some rest."
"I accept. Why don't you show me the way, Maul?"
"Sure, my lord." Maul said offering his hand as a rest for the Sith lord. He guided the lord to a room. He placed him on a bed and watched him sleep. He then walked out and met his master. Sidious held out a piece of the bread. Maul took it and ate it. The two then walked into the room. Maul reached under the bed and withdrew a dagger. It was a Sith dagger. Plagieus twitched. He then slowly opened his eyes and was horrified by what he saw. He could see figures of Sidious and his apprentice hovering in front of him. He tried shaking his hands but Maul quickly moved forward and held him from behind. He had shut his mouth so that he wouldn't scream. Sidious then moved forward and stabbed him brutally. The dagger went through the flesh of the old Sith Lord. The Lord felt the stab be full of hate and anger. Sidious' was in the realm of happiness. Finally he was the Dark lord of the Sith. He then took Maul's place and let him finish the work. Maul was just as a Sith assassin would be. His stabs were painful and merciless. The stabs were deep and could kill anyone instantly. The blood vessels were damaged by the stabs. Plagieus let the pain reside inside his body before he died. Before he could die he saw a vision; a woman stood in the end of a room. In her hand would be a red blood lightsaber. She was in a gown and her hairs were in plaits. She lifted her orange eyes and let out a black lightning. It was the child. He saw the black lightning lick him as he died. The Tragedy of Darth Plagieus- the Wise, was now ready for all the kids of the future Sith to listen to. The dark side did offer one power, but at what cost? The dark lord trained a boy who had potentials of being the Sith'ari. He even let him have an apprentice. He placed the boy above anything. He trained him and gave him almost all of his knowledge. One knowledge he withdrew was that the child would hold only the dark side. He knew that the boy would have learnt it. But the reason remained with the dead body of the Sith lord who lay on his bed. Peace was never an option. How would it be? After all the darkness within was never in peace, never.
