Ash, Brock and Kenny had gotten special dispensation from school to recover from the attack yesterday. The two basketball players were going to Ash's house to see how he was doing and to finish their talk from yesterday. Being suddenly attacked by some sort of ninja in purple that can make green weapons the two were wondering if he was related to the others with the same power but made blue ones.

Their talk moved to the identity to the new one in black that showed up to save them.

"You think the new girl is the one in black?" Brock asked Kenny. The sudden appearance of that one combined with the arrival of the new student the suspicions came easy.

"Zoey?" Kenny said.

"She was hanging around with Ash when I took him aside to arrange our meeting. Maybe he knows something about her as he stayed with her the longest of all of us."

Brock noticed the new student hang around with Dawn, May and Leona but nothing so far told him she might be one of them. Still it was too big a coincidence that when Zoey arrived at school a new hero showed up making both guys suspicious. The timing just seemed a bit too perfect for it all.

"It is the second one Ash met at school. First the ice one and now whatever this one is." Brock not sure what to call him or her. At least the ones that stopped the prison break left hints to their names with the wolf called Lucario and the ice hero calling itself Glaceon. The frog and one in black still owed their names to the public.

"Either Ash knows something about them or he's the luckiest guy in the world with guardian angels following him around."

"Like he needs it." Kenny still a bit bitter after Ash twisted his arm back behind him with ease. He got pinned to a wall and was unable to do anything to Ash until the ninja attacked him. Coming up to the boy's house the curtains were closed even in broad daylight. The Ketchum's must be secluding themselves after everything that's been happening to them or left town entirely.

"Just be calm this time. Don't make him twist your arm again." Brock warned Kenny as he ran the doorbell hoping for the best. They pressed the doorbell a few more times but nobody opened the door. They gave up on trying to enter the house.

"That's strange. I thought Ash would be home. Maybe he's at the place his mom works at. You know where it is?" Kenny suggested.

"I know she works at a restaurant but don't know which one. I'll try calling him." Brock took out his phone and dialed Ash's number. It went over a few times before it activated his voicemail.

"He's not picking up."

"Where is he?" Kenny wondered. They'd try the next door neighbors seeing if one of them knew where the mother worked at. Getting the place of work the two headed over there in hopes to find Ash so they can finish the talk that got interrupted yesterday.

Ash and Riley were all dressed up and ready for action. Norman's spoiling of the plan the police made about how to lure Sableye the guardians took place nearby in earshot of sirens and gunfire. A large fake jewel would be advertised and placed inside the bank. The vault large enough and nearly impenetrable they planned to use the jewel as bait for the gem eater hoping he'd get hungry.

Being on a stakeout job both guardians meditated heightening their senses. If Sableye showed up they had to finish it quickly just in case that shaolin heard word of them and rushed them. The worst type of enemy for the guardians today's potential fight will be hit and run. And to execute a plan where Dawn and the others can pick up on.

The sounds of gunfire were echoing through the streets. Both guardians got off their feet and raced to the source of it. The sounds of the bank alarm sounded at the start of the robbery. In any case they were going to grab somebody today.

His purple skin, pointy ears, sharp teeth and glowing eyes all scared everyone inside the bank were afraid of the creature. Sableye dug a hole right into the vault and tore open the safe with his bare hands.

"Open fire!" The security fired their bullets right onto him. The small rounds bounced off the being who started to attack the guards. Slicing right through their body armor he knocked them down with some of them bleeding on the ground. Clawing his way through their weapons he cut the barrels off making them useless.

His prize being the giant gem he heard about he licked it getting a taste. He spat on the floor.

"A…fake…?" Sampling the jewel it tasted foul.

"I…HATE…FAKE! YOU ALL DIE!" He roared as the scream echoed in the vault. Sounds of people screaming inside the bank didn't do much to get his attention slowly edging to a downed guard ready to kill him for offering the fake gem.

The two aura guardians ran and jumped inside the bank right to the vault. Moving over customers and workers they were astound at the agility of the duo. The vault door opened up they saw blood and bodies everywhere. Sableye held a hold of one of them as he raised his right hand with his fingers straight ready to pierce the man he was holding.

The frog quickly dashed to him and threw a shuriken right at Sableye's head. Having no eye for it, the star hit him square in the head as it only made a small whiplash on the neck thanks to his hard skin. He dropped the guard he was holding as Lucario said as he readied his staff from out of nowhere.

"RAARH!" With a roar the gem eater slashed to the guardians. His claws out the wolf formed a staff to keep him at range while the frog got close in with kunai in hand. Ash ran directly at him and just as Sableye wanted to slash at him, the aura user jumped over him. His knives as sharp as he can make them planted right in Sableye's shoulders piercing the skin as he yelled in pain.

Riley slammed his staff forward knocking the gremlin back into the smaller deposit boxes. Ash from behind struck him on the back of his right kneecap making him stumble as Riley threw an aura sphere at Sableye which impacted right at his chest

Greninja jumped in first with his knives drawn. Sableye raised his claws and blocked the impalement. The frog having both of his hands caught he did keep the gem eater in place on his back. Lucario jumped over his ally and brought his fist down on the gremlins head trying to knock him out. The puncher felt like he was hitting a few layers of brick as the skin of the mutated man was just as hard as diamond.

Sableye kicked the frog of him with his legs. His bare toes not as sharp as his claws Greninja still felt it in his stomach. The gem eater free again began to claw at the asphalt road he was standing on trying to dig an escape route. Ash ran to him and pushed him off from his digging right into his partner. Riley caught him and power bombed Sableye creating cracks in the floor.

The officers that watched the fight from outside the vault were stunned. The two blue characters worked perfectly together in handling their opponent. Seeing the wolf throw his opponent down so hard it actually broke the floor they thought it was over. To their horror the gremlin was still stirring.

"How about that move!?" Riley called to Ash knowing what combo he meant. They created it together just in case they came up against a strong opponent like the undead they faced.

"Got it!" The frog immediately ran right to Sableye with kunai drawn. The gem eater slashed as Ash blocked the claws with his knives. He shifted his hands a bit so he held on to Sableye's wrists now. Leaning backwards he drew the thief down with him and Ash launched him from his back with his legs right to Riley.

The older guardian waiting slammed the incoming body with his staff down. With a thud Sableye hit the floor. Trying to get up his felt his legs get grabbed. The wolf grabbed his arms as the gremlin got lifted by his limbs. Both aura users jumped and threw Sableye into the ceiling with force. He felt his arms being let go as a sudden whip on his legs was felt. The frog slammed him into the ground as the wolf made a new staff and slammed it sideways right on Sableye's head giving another heavy hit.

The staff gone now Riley slammed his fist right on the side of Sableye's head with everything he had. His rough skin cracked even more leaving hard shards of shiny skin behind on the floor. Riley got off him after delivering his beating and looked to Ash and the rest of the police.

Sableye seemed to be breathing but knocked out cold. The officers aimed their weapons at them threatening arrest. Having helped or not there still was a warrant out for them and the ones they supposedly allied themselves with.

"Do you have a cell that can hold him?" The wolf asked the cops. Them more focused on taking in the two large animals Lucario nodded to his partner as a cop finally spoke up.

"There's a car outside with a cage that's under a couple thousand volts."

"Give me a hand." Greninja nodded as they bend down again. The two aura users hovered their hands above Sableye's back. Two blue streams came together and they began to form a pair of bracelets which were then formed into a set of hand cuffs. The did the same to his legs to prevent him from walking tying him up with the mysterious energy as the cops looked on in awe.

"These men are hurt. They need medical aid. Let us go to throw him into that cage and we will be on our way." Greninja argued hoping the stalemate of Sableye's chains, hurt people and scared paramedics would be enough to convince them to let him and Lucario go.

"Lower your weapons or we will dispel it." The wolf warned the cops as they were now trapped on the sage with only one way out. The threat worked as most of them stopped pointing at them. Still a fair few had their weapons raised.

"Take those vigilantes in. Remove your masks!"

"If you have them!" Another cop shouted not knowing what they were dealing with. The aura guardians stood still doing nothing as they heard the groans of pain of the officer that got struck. He was bleeding out while some of his colleagues tried to stop the bleeding. They heard the sounds of ambulances coming but some men seemed to be in really bad shape and on the brink of death.

"Let them go."

"What?"

"They can attack us anytime but instead they reason. They aren't our enemies as long as we don't make them one. I don't want them on our bad side."

"They did help contain the prison break." Another cop reasoned.

"They're operating outside the law."

"But so are those who help others during disasters. We made an oath to this city not to let innocents suffer. If they want to help clear the road let them."

The medical got inside and rushed to the vault. Seeing the wolf and frog they were hesitant to enter afraid of getting close to them. The cops nodded to the pair as the wolf picked up the gremlin and carried him outside. People around the bank and streets seeing the two escort Sableye outside tried to snap a photo of the pair.

Arriving at the truck with the electrical cage Lucario threw in Sableye, shut the door and watched as the electricity was turned on. Before the cops could thank or turn on them they raced away heading to the roofs under an applause if the people that were gathered outside. The two guardians went back to the hideout at Lila's building to hide so the shaolin can't find them in his desperate search for their aura.

"Thank goodness he got out."

The events at the bank were breaking news and were displayed on TV. The restaurant were Delia Ketchum was working at had their radio and TV tuned in to the event. Seeing the frog go outside with only a few scratches on his uniform she went to the bathroom to be alone in a cabin and let out the heaviest sigh of relief as she tried to calm her heartbeat down.

"This is bad for my health. Watching these things only makes it worse."

Even accepting and knowing Ash did this it was difficult to stay calm. No wonder for her child be stuck in fights to the death and a change at injuries was bigger then him coming home without a scratch. Luckily Riley was with him today and he made some powerful friends in the form of May and Dawn. Coming out of the bathroom to resume her job she saw two people she wasn't expecting.

"We missed it?"

"I'm sure there will be lots of news reports later. Let's find her."

"How can I help you boys?" Delia found Brock and Kenny staring at the screen as they talked over finding someone. Startled the two turned round in a rush and found who they were looking for.

"Hello Mrs. Ketchum."

"What are you boys doing here? Shouldn't you be safe at home?"

"That's a question we should ask you. Can you tell us where Ash is?"

"If he isn't at home Ash is doing some groceries and errands for me. He should be back in a few hours. Can I leave a message for him?"

"Just tell him we came looking for him cause we were worried. And that we have a conversation we'd like to finish."

Delia happy to relay the message frim Brock to her son saw his new image on screen. Why he chose a frog costume was beyond her understanding but so were a lot of things regarding Ash.

"Once I get home I'll tell him. Do you at least want something on the way back home? I've got some drinks you can take with you. Just make sure to throw your cans in the designated bins. We don't want one of them catching you loitering." The mother joked but also scaring the two straight at the idea of the guardians. Not having set a presence yet it was unknown if they only dealt with major crimes or were just as strict with even the smallest ones.

Delia went back into the kitchen and quickly grabbed two drinks on the house that she would deduct from her salary.

"Here you go."

"Thank you. Bye." The boys were none the wiser about seeing Ash on TV as Kenny made a suggestion.

"Guess we got nothing to do but wait. Or you want to shoot some hoops at my place?" A bit of one on one should be a good time waster. Brock did not answer Kenny's question.

"She lets her son do groceries even if he nearly died three times. Kind of strange."

His classmate wouldn't had much to do anyway. After everything he went through he'd think that Ash's mom would lock her son up or even move out of town. Having him go out after those experiences it would not surprise them if they left Veilstone City in a superstition that someone doesn't want the Ketchum family here.

"Earth to Brock-o." Kenny waved his hand in front of his face which snapped him out of it.

"Just thinking about nothing important." Brock shook it off but couldn't help but wonder if his classmate is more then who he seemed by never hanging out with them during weekends and his ability to stay alive and not going insane and paranoid after what he's been through.

Please, please, please let the D&P announcement be a remake and not just a download on the Switch store.
