Author's Note: Important News and Gratitude (No hiatus or anything!)
Hello dear readers!
Apologies for the delay in chapters. I am writing this note separately because it is a bit long, felt important, and wanted to be able to delete it if necessary after a couple of weeks.
So first, let me update you on my plan!
Good news! I have finally figured out what the heck I am doing with events before and during CW! I am even excited about some general ideas I have for Ragnarök and beyond, though that is far off still. As such, there will be daily or almost daily updates on this week, until I fill the quota for 5 advanced chapters, for those who are interested. I have an outline for arc 2, thank everything!
Now the bad news. I am burning out.
I have recently started a new full-time job, one that I like actually, but it is quite demanding of my time away from work too, especially since I am also studying for a certification exam that I need to take in two months. (the job requires it, dammit.) I also have the MCAT to prepare for (I need to retake it, I want to scream so bad from the sheer frustration) in the next 6 months. As such, I am sorry, but I am forced to get back to weekly updates. My average chapter length has gotten longer, but still, it will be one chapter per week, sorry about that, but RL comes first.
That is all regarding the news, dear readers.
Thank you so much for your support. You guys are unbelievable and are probably the only thing that makes me not hate my writing (I have a serious problem with wanting to delete what I write, have done it dozens of times before.) You honestly cannot comprehend how helpful you have all been. To be honest, I am a published author in a non-English speaking country. Before this, I had written two novels for young teens in my native language, and the second had been quite successful. After that though... I stopped. Before posting my first chapter for AoC, I hadn't written a single word besides college papers in three years. The romcom that I posted a few chapters for had been an old short-story draft published on a dare and never serious.
Yesterday, I completed my first chapter of an original novel. And I didn't hate it. Or delete it. I cannot express how thankful I am. I love writing again. And all because of your encouragement and kind words.
Thank you so much.
Sincerely, Eneid
