At the Veilstone police station business went on as usual with the force inside trying to solve open cases and waiting for the next call that is a public disturbance. Men and women sworn to protect the city and fulfill the police oath they sworn to abide by one man sat on his desk in the station on his computer trying to find a connection in a case he was working on. May's father had some extra hints from his daughter and her friends about the hospital situation.

Unlike most people Norman liked working on Friday evenings and weekends. When some of the officers that has a day off to go clubbing or celebrate with a relative or loved one it allowed him to keep an eye on May's activities. Knowing the massive search she and her friends are going on he was always worried. He won't be a good father if he wasn't. Checking the time on the clock it was almost midnight. The nightshift barely started and with the excuse of a smoke break one of his colleagues noticed it.

"Just use the smoke room here like everyone else."

"I quit the habit. But I still need some fresh air. I got a feeling it's going to be a long night."

"Aren't they all these days?" His colleague joked as Norman headed up the stairs. No one on top he normally used a short time to talk to May about some things. His little girl nowhere in sight maybe he guessed she was busy with another thing. He waited for five more minutes before he went in again. Returning to his desk after catching his breath he continued the case waiting for a call he could respond too.

Doing his job one of the windows shattered. Glass pieces sprayed over the floor every officer inside and nearby drew their guns and aimed at what came through. Something dressed entirely in black with only a golden mask on his face it stood in the station motionless looking around.

"Intruder! Freeze!" The other cops aimed their handguns. Norman reached for his phone and ran May's number. With a display of entering the way he did this guy may be more up her alley. Tapping wildly on his phone it started to glow that the number was being called.

"Come on May! I need you more than ever!"

"I said freeze!"

Not abiding to their command the figure moved and begun to attack all the cops. Gunshots were fired into the person. The bullets visibly piercing skin and coming out the other side the mysterious figure kept up his attack. With punches and kicks it set out to disable everyone inside. At one point he held up a cop by his throat and held it front of him like a human shield. The police stopped shooting not to hit the man being held in a choke.

"Who is this guy!?"

Other windows broke with the station being stormed by more intruders. Figures in black attacked with fists being thrown, blood being spilled and the occasional snapping of bones were echoing in the room. The police fought back with batons, Tasers and whatever they could get their hands on. Nothing was wrong with the bravery of every single officer but the lack of a negative response from the intruders meant they were quickly overrun.

"Let us go!"

They were being cuffed by their own handcuffs by the intruders. Being set down the figures that broke in grabbed all the weapons the police used against them. Armed with pistols, Tasers and batons in their possession they held almost the entire police force hostage now.

Every cop a mix of cursing, screaming and fear only Norman was quietly praying May got the message. Another person dressed entirely in red yoga pants and a red turban which hovered towards pink entered as he wore a golden mask which facial features like puckered lips can be seen from. Seeing all the carnage that happened here he nodded. In his left hand he formed a curved sword that glowed black.

"A black blade? Isn't this like…" Norman recognizing the phenomenon it looked to similar to what Ash and Riley can do. The one with the curved sword moved to one of the cops and lifted his head up with the edge softly cutting into his skin with how sharp it is. The one cop that was being held like started to cry a bit. The situation and fear becoming a bit too much for he finally lost his nerve pleading with his eyes not to do it.

The masked man only drew a slight mark on his chin before heading down to his stomach cutting the cloth of the cops uniform. The cut deep enough the cops blood came dripping out. Nothing lethal but enough of a discomfort that he started to shake even more collapsing from the stress. The one with the golden mask left heading to his next target leaving all the others behind.

Greninja, Umbreon and Glaceon stood on a rooftop in the city. The team of three were out to find a hint of disturbance relating to one of their many enemies. The streets below almost empty due to the curfew apart from a few people in their cars driving by unaware of the three protectors looking on them. A slow evening so far May felt her phone vibrate. Taking it out of her small bag she carried in case she saw the screen of the caller and her face grew pale.

"It's dad. Can we hold for a sec?"

She asked Ash and Dawn who stopped running so she can pick up.

"Hello?" Not another word spoken she tried again.

"Hello dad?"

Not a word on the other side of the line May started to worry. He was on duty and only called her at these times if it was truly important. Hearing the sound of a siren on a police car they decided to check it out. Following the noise towards it they stayed high up not to get spotted.

"Something is wrong. I feel it in my bones."

May felt a chill and it was not thanks to her powers. Following the sound of the siren they came across a crashed police car. The vehicle embedded itself onto a post with the airbags going off saving the two officers inside from serious injury. The road behind them blocked people were running out of their cars away from the scene of the accident as the car was being swarmed by figures in black.

The four figures in black tore the doors off the police car and pulled out the officers by force and struggled back to not much effect. Ash and Dawn felt it getting colder besides them.

"Calm down Glaceon." Ash knowing May had an incredibly soft spot for the police.

"I'm not going to sit here and watch them do things to them." Angrily clenching her fists a layer of ice started to form on it as well.

"We don't even know if its the dead." Glaceon trying to calm May down it had no effect as the normally brunette had no ears for anyone.

"This is connected to dad not picking up. I'll knock it out of them."

In a rush to save them May jumped down and headed straight for the four black figures leaving Ash and Dawn behind. As she formed her ice batons in hand she threw one at one of the figures head. The ice shattering on ones skull their attention turned towards her. Glaceon formed a new one so her hands were both armed as she ran in closer to strike the black figures. Three of them rushed in return as one held on to the cop.

Glaceon struck with her batons against the three. Making contact with them they didn't flinch as much not feeling anything. One struck her in the leg sweeping her down on her back as she then quickly vaulted up to do a kick that connected to ones jaw.

"Stay down!" Feeling the hit May taunted him. Dawn surprised May was so reckless. Having seen her fight that giant robot before she was calmness herself.

"What is she doing?"

"She lost it." Umbreon's spirit said as Greninja seen enough.

"Dammit May. I'm going down too." Ash leaped off to help May out. Dawn preparing her own jump to help out Umbreon pulled the brakes on Dawn.

"No. Sneak up on the one holding the cop and pull its mask off. I want to know if they're really the undead and not just some guys dressed in the same outfit. Then we know how much power we can exert."

"Right!" Retreating into the shadows becoming invisible Dawn felt that Ash and May were going to help in the distraction they unknowingly build up.

Glaceon fighting off her attackers got joined in by the frog. With a series of punches, kicks and throws following the numbers game was still in their disadvantage. Ash went in bare handed without forming any weapons unlike May that kept hitting them with her batons over and over.

"It's them alright!" May convinced about what the masked men are Ash didn't agree till he had confirmation.

"You don't know that yet!"

As Greninja and Glaceon fought off the masked men Umbreon snuck p on the cop being held hostage. Taking her shadow she extended it and tied up the arms and legs of the man making him unable to move. The policemen free now crawled back into his car trying to call for backup. Umbreon stepped closer and with her target bound tore off the mask of her target.

"EW! They're more revolting then you said they were!" Dawn's first look at the rotting face nearly gagged. The way her boyfriend described these things did not come close to what he said. They were worse.

"So it is them. They got to have a weakness apart from the one that controls them."

Ash trying to find a way to incapacitate the group of the dead. It just was a never ending loop of them hitting and getting hit without any signs of damage to slow them down. Letting his fighting instinct guide him he tried to figure it out while breaking up someone that grabbed him from behind.

"Let him go!"

"No! Keep that one tied!" Greninja yelling at Umbreon to stay put and focus on holding the unmasked creature down.

Greninja and Glaceon fought back but there was no progress. Their recent battles and training made them more formidable then the first time they fought them but the lack of lasting damage was starting to play a role now. The human sized frog caught a pinch and then twisted his arm with aura breaking it. The one that had his arm broken just twisted and out it back in place as if nothing happened.

"I'VE HAD IT!"

The ice heroine screamed with rage. Slamming her foot down spikes of ice shot out from around her even blocking Ash to his enemy. The blunt ends on May's ice batons turned razor sharp. She struck at the first one slitting its throat. Kicking her opponent up one of the ice spikes she made shot out a new pillar and impaled him from the back.

She then moved to the second of the three they were fighting and with a running throw impaled it as well. The one Ash was fighting got lifted up by a new stalagmite making Ash himself jump out of the way just barely. May finished it off by heading to Dawn, grabbing a hold of the bound creature and threw it on a spike too. Unable to get off they still kept moving even if there was a gaping hole in the chest. Trying to get a hold on the ice they were trying to lift themselves off the spike but it was too slippery.

"That should keep them there." May content with her work got called out on it.

"Glaceon!" Greninja yelling at her he condemned her actions.

"I know they aren't alive but you went too far." The icy heroine remained stoic.

"It's the only way to stop them until we get to the source. They won't be an issue." May defending her actions Dawn looked on. The figures still moving what usually would be a fatal wound to any other person even her enhanced endurance won't be able to withstand. They were in more trouble then she at first thought with the necromancer.

"You're disrespecting the dead. You're not him, remember that." Glaceon taking the side of Greninja. May uncharacteristically ignored her and moved to the officer trying to call for backup in his car.

"Are you alright?" He raised his gun telling her to back off. Glaceon raising her hands Umbreon extended her shadow and ripped the gun out of his hands just in case he wanted to shoot May.

"You're scaring people. You don't need to make people believe you can kill. Show restraint." May's earring spirit said. Fir the first time she realized the officer had a pale look. Scared of her actions in stopping she tried calming him down.

"It's ok sir. We're here to help. Is everything alright?"

"Settle down Glaceon." Greninja pushed her aside softly. May left a wrong impression as he thought it better to question the officer that was still trying to contact others through his radio.

"Sir. I know you're confused but we need you to focus. Are you the only one attacked or are there more cases like yours?" Not saying classified information to the three strangers the officer doubted on what to do next.

"Please sir. It's important. Your colleagues might be in the same danger."

"This is taking too long. We're going to the station now!"

Glaceon ran away towards the place her dad called. Greninja and Umbreon yelling for her to come back May had no ears for them.

"Follow her! Greninja, guarantee this mans safety. Catch up with us at the station when you do. Go!"

Umbreon ordered as Dawn raced after May who got a head start leaving Ash alone with the cop. Seeing the girls run away from him he wondered how he will guarantee the officers safety. The roofs were out of the question so maybe he can stay inside somewhere waiting for this to blow over. Ash heard the noise of an ambulance coming his way.

"Did you call them?" He asked as the cop softly answered yes. Not sure what to say to the frog he owed him a quick apology.

"Um…thanks…"

"For what?"

"For rescuing me…from whatever those things are."

"Don't mention it. Grab what you need from your car to protect yourself. I'm going to find the source of who send them."

Racing away to chase after Dawn and May he was going to test his speed and see how much faster than the girls he really was even wanting to finish at the police station before May did.

Bit later than usual but that's life I guess.

See you around.
