Lucario and Leafeon as a duo were scaling the many rooftops of Veilstone City. Hearing the continued noises of police sirens they laid eyes on a squad car. From up high they can see a female officer getting pulled out of her car. A second policemen got pulled out on the passenger side which looked a lot younger than she was. Around them four figures entirely in black taking care of them the two watching from above nodded.
"They look like those things we fought before we knew you." Riley told Zoey as the normally redhead has not encountered one before. Seeing them manhandle the cops she was aware of their invulnerability. She could tie them down by sprouting giant plants out of the ground but it would only be a temporary solution leaving them still with all the work to do.
The masked figures taking the cops away from the car a black van drove up behind them. The black figures tied down the officers and threw them in the van haphazardly without any regard to their physical condition. Seeing it happen the four figures left away from the van in a different direction.
"Should we split up and follow them?" Zoey suggested to Riley for one of them to chase the figures and the other the van holding the officers.
"No." Zoey's spirit stopped them from discussing things further and had a better idea.
"I rather have you two jump in and save them but this can be trail. They're taking them somewhere. I suggest we hold back and tail them to where they go. They might bring us to the source."
"We did find all the women last time in one place. If we're lucky they're taking those policemen there as well."
Riley remembered the clue Ash searched off the man that tried to abduct Delia. All the kidnapped woman were brought to one place making it an easy rescue in the end. Trailing the van they traversed the roofs trying to remain hidden from any wandering creatures so they wouldn't get caught following the van. As they travelled they peeked at multiple scenes of costumed figured attacking cop cars and other vans dragging the drivers out and away.
They were being led out of the city and into a more suitable area for Leafeon's powers into the forest out of town. The farther they were being led away Zoey still looked back.
"Shouldn't we try and contact the others?" Ash, Dawn and May will be of great value if they came across the necromancer and his puppets. Riley had faith in the boy he trained and the two girls sharing the same origin as the green thumbed heroine he was with. Taking duty over personal feelings for the three back in the city Riley just had to make do.
"We just have to count on them. We can't miss this opportunity."
Dawn was chasing after her friend towards the police station. Having called out her name before she continued to be ignored by the icy heroin. May's spirit even told her to stop and wait for the others but the usual brunette had no ear for them. All that was on her mind is to get to her dads workplace and punish the ones that attacked him and his colleagues in case of danger.
"What is she doing?"
Dawn really worried for her wondered what took Ash so long. Surely he'd be done with whatever he did to secure the policeman's safety. Worried he might've run into a fight without her a blue flash sped next to her slowing down to move at her pace. Seeing the worried look Ash asked Dawn what's the worry?
"She's ignoring us. She's too focused."
"Glaceon!" Ash trying it himself she ignored him as well only focused on her destination.
"No use yelling at her. I and the earring did it already." Dawn told him. Ash sped up again leaving Dawn in the dust and grabbed onto one of Glaceon's arms yanking her backwards. 5he sudden whiplash shocking her May threw a punch thinking she got grabbed by an enemy. Ash merely dodging it was not expecting this outburst.
"Relax. The man is safe."
"Let go off me!" May channeled her powers into her arms which turned pale blue. Ash feeling the cold build was fighting it off with his aura that blocked out the painful sting of the cold. Umbreon raising her hands tied up Glaceon by her wrists so Greninja can let go and no longer had to physically touch her. Shaking his hand to get some feeling back Glaceon tried to freeze what's keeping her down.
"You can't freeze shadows. Don't bother." Dawn's earring spirit called May out and told her to stop struggling.
"Let me go dammit!"
"You need to calm down! I know you must be worried for your dad but you're reckless now!" Ash being taught discipline in the face of danger to never let his emotions get the upper hand if lives were at stake. He didn't know if May's own training included that lesson but if it did she forgot it completely. Dawn seeing her boyfriend and own of her best friends argue felt sick in her stomach. She never thought they would their powers against each other and felt that May needed more help.
"He's right. Take a breath and count to ten." Glaceon advised her.
"I said let me go!"
"Quiet! You're not helping anyone the way you are! Don't make me tell your mother about this!" The spirit having enough of her host petulant behavior threatened with harsher actions.
"Greninja, can I trust you to investigate the station while Umbreon and I sort out my host?"
"Sure." Ash obeying Glaceon's spirit would scout out the area around the police station. Leaving the girls behind Glaceon yelled at May.
"I may have granted you use over my powers but not the way you use them! I'm less than impressed with what you did to those things back there! It was reckless, arrogant and that showing of power to who witnessed it now think you can snap at anytime and kill as you please!"
"Icy is right. Don't waste the good will we're trying to build with the rest of the city with your actions. You have to pretend you're more than human for the illusion to work about us being angels. You are allowed to get angry but don't let your feelings cloud your judgement and go on a spree that leaves cold bodies."
"I know how you feel, powerless. When mom was kidnapped I didn't know if she was even alive. I counted on the aura guardians but wished I could do something more. You unlike me back then can do something about it now but not how you are acting. What happened to the cool person that showed me the ropes at the docks? Where is that Glaceon?"
Glaceon, Umbreon and even Dawn told May she was not much value now and a liability. Hearing all three question her actions May took a deep breath. Breathing out again her breath showed in a cloud of vapor. The white in her hands disappeared as it warmed up again to a more normal temperature that others can touch.
"Cooled down?"
"I am. Thanks for reigning me in."
"That's what we're for. We're not finished about this yet though. Let's catch up to Greninja and see what he found."
"Two on the roof, took a quick peek in the underground parking lot where's two more. The cars down are all destroyed and damaged. The windows broken I don't know how many there are inside."
After the girls met up with Ash he gave them a scouting report. The place swarming with undead rushing in only created more problems. May glad her friends pulled on the handbrake so she wouldn't be overwhelmed without a plan now. Glaceon picking up on May's thoughts came up with an idea.
"That little stunt you pulled gave me an idea though. They're still limited by biology so it's possible to neutralize them."
"I broke one of their arms once and it popped back into place. Breaking bones doesn't work." Ash telling the spirit its not that easy she elaborated.
"Don't break. Shatter them into pieces. Aim for the joints, cripple them. Elbows, knees, hips, ankles. Paralyze them so they don't have anything resembling a skeletal structure left to keep them up on their feet."
"It's a shot in the dark but I'll take it. You two?" May telling her teammates she agreed with the advice they had to try.
"Shot in the dark? I got it!" The phrase made a lightbulb go off in May's head.
"Ash, are the lights still on?"
"From what I can tell they are."
"Dawn, can you sneak in through one of the windows if we turn the power off?"
"Easy. What about all of them inside? We don't know how much there are." Dawn did not fancy her chances but May had an idea that may just work.
"That's why I'm turning it into Umbreon's personal playground. There's two generators powering the building. The main on the roof and the second one in the parking garage. Turn them off and the entire building goes black giving you enough room and darkness to take them out one by one. I'll take the roof." Dead set on her plan May didn't give the others a choice.
"What about the camera's? How big is security?" Umbreon asking if the station is taken over they had camera surveillance to go on and then swarm them.
"The camera's are linked to an outside generator so if we shut the two here off they always keep filming. The garage and roof are full of them covering every angle so sneaking in is only possible through the windows."
"New plan. I'll head in through the parking garage and act as bait. You both then check up on the people inside when I fight them off." Ash telling the girls he'd take care of them in the lower section and brute force his way up.
"I'm coming with you." Dawn not eager to let her boyfriend act as bait all alone with things he can't beat. May relented as Ash and Dawn will move through the parking garage as she'd secure the station looking for the men and women inside.
Ash managed to get into the garage without a hitch. Seeing two figures block the elevator and staircase up they moved towards him slowly. Ash with battle plan in mind saw the destruction around him. Smashed cop cars and tipped over motorcycles, with broken pieces of glass and metal all over the ground of it. Ash sidestepped just a little going towards a bike that was tipped over.
"It's already ruined so I guess they won't mind."
Grabbing the wheel of a motorcycle he tossed it bike and all to his enemies. The bike flying through the air the two dodged underneath it letting it crash behind them. Greninja increasing his speed now closed the distance fast as one got jumped on and the other fist got grabbed as the frog then twisted the arm so bad it moved round twice.
As he came to expect his opponent did not react. Not enough to slow it down it used his left leg to kick the frog but Greninja willingly took it while grabbing and dragging it down and with a kunai stabbed through the ankle destroying the bone inside it. Ash moving to the second limb doing the same thing the second masked figure got up from being hit by the bike and pulled his leg back to punt the frogs head like one does a football.
Before he knew it something wrapped around its leg and pulled him down. A black substance tangling around his legs it got pulled towards someone in black and yellow. The grip increasing Umbreon twisted her hand so the kneecap got bend out of place making him unable to stand. With a stronger pull she then stomped on the second kneecap shattering it too. Greninja went from breaking the legs to bending the arms the wrong way on the elbows while his opponent struggled. Umbreon did a front flip as the momentum increased her strength and smashed the bones in her opponent.
Greninja stabbing through their hands with his kunai Ash pinned them to the ground. The two with broken hands tried to lift their hands up but Ash made sure to stick it in as deep as he could. From the stairs coming from above he saw six more of them head towards the protectors.
"And here comes the cavalry. Great." Dawn knowing that were in for a hard time steeled herself as she raised her arms and her shadow began to dance around her. Greninja formed an extra set of kunai to slice through the batons they were holding so they at least be weaponless against them. Outmatched now one to three he took a deep breath as he got ready for a counterattack.
"May, I sure hope your dad is fine cause we're not!"
Lucario and Leafeon trailing the van outside of town they got led to a place they already thought they had searched out.
"The sawmill? I thought Umbreon went inside and found nothing." Lucario telling Leafeon it scheduled for demolition soon the place was abandoned and the owner already relocated to a new place. Their eyes did not deceive them as the black van they followed headed to the loading area.
Hiding in the trees they had a vantage point where they saw the cops being tied up and moved inside the old saw mill by masked men. More vans parked outside this certainly was a gathering point. Too much of a coincidence with earlier events Lucario knew it was all connected and that his earlier hunch was right. Out of the old sawmill a person that seemed like a woman came out. A reddish orange bodysuit similar in the style of the other earring wearers and yellow hair on her head the only out of the place was a golden mask covering her entire face. Around her neck a boa cloth the same color as her hair.
"What the hell sis!?"
Zoey's earring spirit screamed out at the woman. Both host and aura guardian stunned to hear the name being called
"Sis? You know her!?" Zoey asked her as Leafeon explained who the identity of the one dressed like a walking flame is.
"That's Flareon! One of my sisters! What's she doing with them!?"
A lot of mayhem all around then. Guess both teams are having their own issues.
But why is Flareon, a supposed same sibling of the other heroines with our bad guys?
