Chapter 2: Never live with a Colleague

"He's so going to hate me" Wilbur said to himself as he pulled up a computer store website.

/

It was a normal Sunday morning, Ranboo had managed to get through the first week as a maths teacher. For the rest of the week there was luckily no more beatings on Freddie and Ranboo had even made some friends in the teachers, one of which was now his roommate. He still doesn't understand why he ever agreed to move in with Will, he was more than contempt living alone in a hotel room and now he was seeing Will way too often for it not to be weird. The awkward silence that constantly filled the air and now it was going to be the massive truck that was pulling up outside of the house.

"What the hell did you order, Will?" asked Ranboo, shouting up to Will's room as he opened the door being greeted by a larger man with glasses hanging him a clipboard so he could sign for the order.

"Oh, it's a surprise, now leave so I can sign for it and set it up, '' replied Will, running over to the door and pushing Ranboo out of the way.

Ranboo, walking back over to his room, dumbfounded as to what Will might have got, he was already annoyed that Will had gotten him something after the countless amount of times that he had to tell Will to not buy him anything and to use his money on himself.

/

It was about two hours later when Will knocked on the door of Ranboo's room. "Hey, Ranboo, come out here please?". While he was waiting, Ranboo decided to have a nap, so he sat up groggily, rubbing his eyes and stretching his arms out.

Opening the door and surveying the area it didn't take too long for him to realise the massive desk, topped with three large monitors, a light up keyboard with a mouse plugged into it that was in the corner of the living room. Under the desk, laid the pc filled with a rainbow of colours and multiple fans.

"Wilbur, what the fuck did you do? How many times do I have to tell you that you shouldn't spend money on me, I can afford things like this now, you didn't have to, the money you earn from streaming and from teaching is supposed to go towards things for yourself or your girlfriend or your boyfriend whichever one you prefer, you've never actually told me but anyway, Why?!" Ranboo shouted, walking back into his room and slamming the door.

"Are you seriously upset with me for spending £2,000 on you so you can do something that you have always wanted to do?" shouted Will through the bedroom door.

"£2 thousand pounds on me" answered Ranboo, forcefully opening his bedroom door.

"We barely even know each other, a week Will, a week since we have met and we live together and you're spending thousands of pounds on me. Plus I bet that you brought this the night when you asked me about streaming. What's your game Will?"

"What do you mean, What is my game?"

"Why are you spending so much money on me when we barely know each other?"

"Simple, because you're my mate and I have plenty of spare money"

"Okay, but I can afford it too!"

"Barely" Wilbur snickered as soon as Ranboo had finished.

"I'm sorry but I have to leave" and with that Ranboo re-entered his room to pack his things that he only just unpacked.

As he went to leave the house Wilbur placed a hand in front of Ranboo to stop him, "Come on Ranboo, don't leave over this, you're my mate".

"If you were my mate, you would have listened to me" and with that Ranboo had left the house.

As Wilbur watched the door close he couldn't help but hate himself, the real reason to why he did do it was because he wanted to impress Ranboo cause he liked him, not romantically or anything but friends had never came easy to Wilbur and before he met Dream, George, Phil, Zak and Ranboo he never really had any friends not even when he was younger and at school, so he was going to do anything possible to keep them for as long as possible.

/

It was Monday, and as Ranboo was entering the school for another day of teaching he couldn't help but feel demotivated to teach. He had quickly prepared worksheets for all his classes to do as he didnt want to teach at the moment.

Ranboo felt so bad for blowing up and ditching Wilbur but he couldn't help but feel upset that he went against his wishes.

He and the other teachers would meet up everyday before the tutor period started to hang out and talk about their lives but today he didn't even want to risk seeing Wilbur so he instantly went up to his tutor classroom that he shared with George instead.

Once he got there, he noticed that there were already a few students sitting and talking in there including Tommy and Freddie, who seemed to have even more bruises and scars and Ranboo's mood dipped even more, seeing the helpless, poor boy.

That was also when he noticed George was sitting at his desk working on some papers.

"Oh, what are you doing here already?" asked Ranboo, going to take a seat.

But when George went to answer the question, he was interrupted by a kid at the back of the class shouting at him, it was Tommy "Hey Mr Boo, can you come here for a second, Freddie wants to talk to you about something?!". Ranboo followed it up with a nod and walked to the back of the class.

"What do you want, boys?" asked the teacher, grabbing a chair and sitting down in front of the two kids.

That was when Freddie spoke up, it was the first time Ranboo had heard him actually talk as he was off the entire week before and in the hospital, "I would like to thank you for last week".

"No, Don't thank me I didn't do anything, I never do anything right" he hadn't realised that the last part was said out loud and he earned a strange look from both of the boys.

"But you did something and no one does that for me apart from a few teachers like you and George and my two friends in this world" replied Freddie, looking like he was on the verge of tears.

"Hey mate, if you ever need anything don't hesitate to ask me" Ranboo said, standing up from the chair and putting a hand on one of Freddie's shoulders, starting to walk back to the front to finish talking to George.

"What was that all about?" asked George, noticing that Ranboo had an upset look on his face even though it was tough to tell given him still wearing his mask and glasses. The teachers were the only ones in the school that knew what he looked like.

"Oh, Freddie wanted to thank me for last week even though I didn't do anything," answered Ranboo, sitting down at the desk they had to share.

"Stop lying to yourself, most people would just leave him there, like the last maths teacher did, which was why he was fired, Schlatt, what a prick" stated George.

"Seriously what the fuck is wrong ith this world?" At this point Ranboo was fully deflated and unmotivated to do anything. "So why are you in here now anyway shouldn't you be with your boyfriend, Clay and the others?" Ranboo followed up, making George laugh and letting out a "He's not my boyfriend". "Plus I could say the same thing about you, why are you here and not with your boyfriend, Wilbur". George earning a quick "Fuck you" from Ranboo but a smile finding its way onto his face the first time since ditching Will, the previous day.

"We had an argument and I moved out and I didn't want to face him"

"Not surprised, Have you heard the rule?"

"What rule?"

"Never live with a colleague no matter how long or how much you know each other and you guys only knew each other for a day before you moved in with him, so it really only serves you right but what happened anyway?"

"Oh, he brought me a gaming pc". This confused George. "I know right, stupid, he was just being nice but I'm still pissed at him"

"So, he spent his own money on you getting something that I am assuming you wanted and yu got pissed off at it"

"Yep, and I don't know why, I just don't like when people spend money they earned on me I guess, especially considering I knew him for only a day when he ordered the thing"

"Well, I don't know how to help you then but just talk to him and sort it out cause I don't want two of my mates to be in a bad mood 24/7"

By the time they had finished their conversation it was time to start the tutor period.

/

It was all fine until lunch time, he hadn't seen or heard Will and for all he knew he wasn't in today. Deciding to risk the staff room, he quickly made his way there. But once he got there it was like he had just seen a ghost as he stared at Wilbur who was sitting down on a couch.

After a few moments of silence, Clay spoke up from another couch "This is weird, I'm going to leave now" proceeding to stand up and exit the large room.

"Um, I'm sorry for yesterday I overreacted, you were just doing something nice and I was a dick about it to put it frankly, so yeah sorry" Ranboo managed to say.

"No, it's fine, you told me not to buy something like that for you and yet I did so it's my fault, it's just that friends have never come easy to me so I wanted to do something nice" Wilbur replied.

"Well, that was easier than I thought it would be. Do you want to come back?" Wilbur asked, hoping for a certain answer.

Ranboo did have to think of an answer as what George had told him at the start of the day kept playing in his mind, "Never live with a colleague" but yet in the end he went against it and said "Sure".

/

It was the end of the day, finally. Ranboo had decided that he would do his first live stream tonight where he would play some Minecraft with Wilbur, simple but fun.

As it was his first stream he was not expecting any viewers and he did not have high expectations.

/

It was later at night now and he thought it would be the time for his stream so he got Wilbur to help him set it up and when they were finished he started the stream.

As expected he started up with zero viewers but after a few minutes his chat was filled with over 20,000 people, all of who were following and few even subscribing "What is happening?" he said to himself and the chat.

About 10 minutes earlier, Wilbur had sent out a tweet:

Hello people of twitter, a friend of mine is doing his first ever live stream on twitch RanbooLive so go show him some support but don't tell him that I sent you.

/

It was about two hours later, the time flew by and he had ended his first stream on over 50,000 followers and over 1,000 subs.

He knew that he could get used to this streaming thing.

The End of Chapter 2.
