Welcome to Day 6: Wearing each other's clothes.
Stella and Lincoln just finished with breakfast.
"Those were some delicious pancakes," Lincoln said.
"I know," Stella commented. "My grandma makes some of the coolest pancakes".
The 2 of them went to wash up and get dressed. On the other hand, today was a little different.
"Hey Lincoln," Stella said. "Ever wondered what it would be like to be in the shoes of one of your friends?"
"Not really," Lincoln said. "Is it fun?"
"You tell me," Stella said. "I'll try on your clothes and you can try on mine".
About 2 minutes later, they found a mirror to look in.
"Wow," they both said together. "You look like me".
Some crazy giggles then came out of both of them.
"So," Lincoln said. "What do you wanna do today?"
Stella had a plan.
"I have a few ideas," Stella said. "But first, you not only have to teach me your Russian accent. Plus, I'm also gonna teach you my German one".
Lincoln decided to go for it. 30 minutes later, Lincoln and Stella were heading down the street.
"Feels good to be some of yang," Stella said.
Lincoln used a German accent to say, "sure is".
The 2 of them arrived at an electronics store.
"Why go to electronics store?" Stella asked.
In German, Lincoln told her, "because it's what you like, and we're walking in each other's shoes dear friend. Remember?"
"Right," Stella said.
Lincoln saw a broken computer.
"I see," he said. "Computer be missing some keys".
He found some a few feet away and placed them on the computer he was working on.
"Amazing," one clerk said.
"I assume you be ze khappy now?" Stella asked.
"A lot," the clerk said. "How would the 2 of you like to work here?"
"No thanks," Lincoln said. "We're only 12, not 14".
"We're just glad we can help with that problem," Stella added. "See ya around".
The 2 of them left the electronics store and made their way over to Renee's house. The 2 of them knocked on the door. Renee opened it and saw Lincoln and Stella.
"Hi Lincoln," Renee said. "You must be Stella Zhau".
"Yeah," Stella said. "my fryends syed much about ye".
"I heard them talking about you too," Renee said. "Lincoln and I made amends after that little fight."
"Me and her, great friends now," Lincoln said.
Renee let Lincoln and Stella into her house.
"So," Renee said. "What's with the clothes swap?"
"We're walking in each other's shoes for a day," Lincoln told her.
"I hear Lincoln loves comic books," Stella said.
"He sure does," Renee said. "Do you have the one I told you about last week?"
Lincoln was shocked.
"What!?" he asked.
"I took an interest in some of the things you enjoy," Stella said.
She then pulled out a comic book about Ace Savvy meeting Phoebe Powers.
"Woah!" Lincoln said. "My friend, Ronnie Anne would love this".
The 3 of them dove in. The comic started off with them watching Ace Savvy doing his thing. A thief was getting away with One-eyed Jack's special lunch.
"Hand it back," Lincoln - as One-eyed Jack - said.
"Never," the thief said.
That jerk was getting further away.
"Let me have a turn," Renee said. "One-eyed Jack was starting to have doubts about catching this thief. It may be the first thief he has failed to stop. I'm already shaking."
What was Ace Savvy going to do now? That was when the lady who gave him the sandwich appeared.
"How can you help stop this thief?" Ace Savvy asked.
"My turn to read," Stella said.
"In a twist no Ace Savvy fan could ever imagine, the lady revealed herself to be…"
"Phoebe Powers?" Ace Savvy asked.
All 3 of them gasped.
"No way!" Renee said.
Phoebe launched herself close enough to lasso the thief down.
"That's enough snack talk out of you," Phoebe said.
Stella then read, "Phoebe returned the lunch to Ace Savvy".
"Thanks Phoebe," Ace said. "But now I have another problem. I'm never gonna make it back in time".
Lincoln then read, "Phoebe told him not to fear. She called on some big birds to carry the 2 of them back to One-eyed Jack.
"My lunch," One-eyed said. "Thanks Ace."
"You also have to thank my new friend," Ace told him.
Renee then read, "One-eyed Jack got an idea of how to thank Phoebe Powers."
The 3 of them enjoyed lunch together.
Renee then finished with, "While enjoying their lunch, Ace Savvy and Phoebe Powers were wondering whether or not they, along with One-eyed Jack, should team up for more adventures. What do you think? The end".
Lincoln and Stella both said together, "that was awesome! You said it; jinx".
They both busted out laughing. Lincoln and Stella each got a copy to take home. "What a day this has been," Lincoln said.
"Yeah," Stella commented. "I could get used to us walking in each other's shoes".
I bet they would.
