Welcome to Day 9: Hanging out with friends.

Lincoln and Stella were at Jordan's house playing an improvised game.

There was a 20 sided die each person had to roll. Whatever number it landed on was the question they had to answer. Lincoln decided to roll first.

"Let's get a good number," he said.

He rolled a 7.

"Alright," Jordan said. "Question number 7 says, 'why do you think today will be your day?' I can see that being good".

"I'll answer first," Clyde said. "It'll be my day because I'm getting that thousand ticket jackpot at Gus' Games and Grub".

First answer out of the gate, and already some giggles were rolling out.

"You'll have to be very lucky if you want that to happen," Jordan said.

"I'll go next," Lincoln said. "It'll be my day because I'm going to pull a messy slime prank on my sister".

"A slime prank?" Zach asked.

"She'll never see it coming," Jordan said.

"My turn," Stella said. "It'll be my day because I'm taking my bunny for a day in the park".

She began hopping around like a bunny, which caused even more giggles.

"You make a great bunny," Clyde said.

Stella thanked him.

"My turn," Jordan said. "It'll be my day because I'm spending it with Mollie".

"That sounds like it could be your day," Lincoln told her.

"I know," Jordan said. "Zach, you're next".

Zach decided to go with, "it'll be my day because I'm having a romantic picnic with Kat".

Everyone felt their hearts racing like they never raced before.

"That must be good," Jordan said.

"I know," Zach commented.

"Guess I'm last," Liam said. "It'll be my day because I'm serving up this table".

There wasn't really much laughter here.

"I didn't really have a good answer for this round," Liam said.

"That's understandable," Clyde said. 'I still enjoyed this round".

"Me too," Lincoln said.

Clyde decided to roll next. He rolled a 9.

"Question 9," Clyde said. "This is a fill in the blank question. No way will you make me blank again".

While everyone else started thinking, Stella already got an answer.

"I got an answer for this. No way will you make me walk in on my mom again".

The laughter was back at it again. Clyde couldn't help but fall to the ground.

"What the heck, Stella?" he asked. "Some way to start a round".

"I know," she said.

Lincoln chose to go next.

"No way will you make me cover for your toilet clogging incident," he answered.

There were more looks of concern than giggles.

"I did that once so my sister wouldn't get teased as much as me," Lincoln said.

"I can see why," Liam said.

He then chose to go next.

"No way will you make me clean your stupid mess again".

"You tell them, buddy!" Lincoln exclaimed.

Zach went next.

He answered, "no way will you make me start a food fight again".

The laughter was getting back up.

"I bet the school will be proud to hear that," Liam said. "My turn. No way will you make me lose at checkers again".

"Now that's true courage," Clyde said.

He then went next.

"No way will you make me late for school again".

"Let me guess," Lincoln said. "Did a bus breakdown put your perfect attendance record in jeopardy?"

Clyde nodded.

Jordan told Stella, "Clyde hasn't missed a single day of school since the 4th grade".

"Unbelievable," Stella said.

Jordan was the last one to go.

"Just so you know, my answer's pretty dumb," she said. "No way will you make me cheat again".

While everyone believed it was dumb, they couldn't help but bust out laughing louder with almost all of them falling to the floor.

"That's the dumbest thing you could've said,'' Lincoln told her.

"Are you some kind of idiot?" Clyde asked.

"Of course not!" Jordan commented feeling slightly offended.

"Alright," Liam said. "Let me roll next".

He grabbed the die and shook it in his hand before rolling it. It landed on 13.

Liam picked up question 13 and read it out loud.

"Why should Stella hug Lincoln?" he read. "There could be multiple reasons".

Some possible choices popped up. They started to secretly lock in their choices with Lincoln responding the quickest.

The first answer that was revealed read, "He agreed to let Clyde do a double header with him".

"I love it," Clyde said.

He then looked at Lincoln.

"Double header? You're on!"

Everyone couldn't help but giggle.

Answer 2 read, "He found a tree with maple syrup".

There wasn't much laughter with that answer.

The 3rd answer read, "Because Lincoln told Flip 'Yo momma is so stupid she brought a spoon to the super bowl', and then kicked him in the shins".

There was a huge roar of laughter from the entire group.

"Oh that was a burn," Liam said.

"That one was mine," Clyde said. "Did you think it would be a Liam burn?"

The next 2 answers popped up together.

One read, "his friends got disappointed with him" while the other one read, "that kid was drinking alone".

Both answers together still didn't bring as much laughs as the previous answer.

"Double sadder," Zach said.

The last answer revealed itself, but once it did, everyone realized both that it was Lincoln's answer and why he locked it in so fast to avoid screaming in front of his friends.

"He ran afoul from school bullies and was sent…"

Jordan knew there was more to the answer, but she wanted not to finish it. The rest of the group had similar reactions, and when they looked over towards Lincoln, he quickly looked away.

"I-I just wanted to get rid of it so that I wouldn't always be looking at it."

Stella couldn't help but feel for her friend, and almost immediately wrapped her in a comforting hug. She then non-verbally motioned for the rest of the group to join in, which they gladly did, comforting their friend through an obviously hard time. As everyone came out of the hug, Lincoln started to tear up, but they were happy tears this time.

"Thanks, everyone."

"Don't mention it," Liam replied. "It's what friends are for."

The rest of the group all replied with understanding smiles.

Stella then commented, "that prompt was right. You really did need a hug from me".

"Just one thing," Lincoln said. "Other than me breaking the agreement of us not trying anything with Stella, why would you be disappointed with me?"

They decided to tell him, and once they did, Lincoln realized why he has friends worth as much as true treasure.

"We were disappointed in you not telling us anything about confessing your love to Stella," Clyde said.

"Yeah," Liam added. "We could've helped you".

This shocked both Lincoln and Stella.

"Wait; WHAT!" The 2 of them responded.

Lincoln wanted to know why they weren't mad more than Stella.

"Well," Liam said. "Things eventually change. Besides, Jordan's been catching my eyes lately".

"Same with Kat," Zach said.

"And Chloe," Clyde added.

After letting out a sigh of relief, Lincoln thanked his pals for making sure everything was fine.

"Sure is dude," Jordan said before kissing Liam.

That sent Lincoln and Stella themselves into kissing mode again.

All 4 of them then realized that Clyde and Zach were still there.

"Okay," Stella said. "Let's get back to the game. I'll roll next".

The 6 of them continued on with their little game.

That ends Day 9: Hanging out with friends. Next up is Day 10: With animal ears.
