It is current 2:30am... I am so sleepy but I was so determined to update so I could start the next chapters on all of my stories. So I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Up in his room, Zach was sitting at his desk playing Call of Duty. One hand was on his controller while the other was throwing a tennis ball across the room to play fetch with Rocky. Like always when he played video games, Zach was laser-focused, even as he multitasked. It was a craft he had been perfecting ever since he played his first Pokémon game when he was seven years old. He was pretty much a master at this point.

He was about to blow some guy's head off in the game when he felt his phone vibrate in his back pocket. Telling his friends online to pause the game really quick, Zach pulled out his phone and practically fell out of his chair when he saw that Lydia was calling him.

Him!

"Yo, I'm gonna have to leave right now," Zach told his friends. They all groaned collectively. "I'm sorry! I got a hot girl calling me."

One of his friends, ZombieSlayer316, scoffed. "Yeah, right. It's probably his bedtime or something."

"It is not!" Zach defended.

"What, will you get grounded if you're up late on a school night?" another friend, this one named _shadowdemon_ teased.

"Just because I'm fourteen that doesn't mean I'm a child," the youngest Henderson told them, "If I am, what does that say about a group of twenty to thirty-something year olds who get their asses whipped daily by one while sitting in their moms' basements?"

The guys went quiet, making Zach beam proudly to himself. Yep, he won.

"Gotta go, AlphaDude!"

"Same time tomorrow night, boys!"

Laughing to himself, Zach pulled off his headphones and closed his laptop. His phone vibrated again, reminding him that he had a call waiting for him. He kicked his feet up on his desk and leaned back in his chair as he finally answered his phone.

"How you doin'?" Zach greeted, bringing out his inner Joey Tribbiani.

"Zach?" Lydia said. Her voice was trembling and she sounded like she was shaken up about something. "Is your sister home? I've tried calling her but I can't get a hold of her."

"No, she and Stiles are at Derek and Anabelle's loft," Zach replied, straightening up, "Why? What's wrong?"

"I need you to call her or Stiles," Lydia told him, "I have a problem. A very big problem…"

"Come on, Scott," Stiles grumbled at his phone as he and Natalie walked out of the loft, "Pick up, pick up!"

"Ugh, it's no use!" Natalie groaned. She was about ready to throw her phone at the wall. "Those three could be dead for all we know."

"So much for remaining optimistic, huh?" Stiles said sarcastically.

"It's kinda hard to be when our best friend is about to be literal dog food!"

They got inside the jeep and shut their doors. Natalie's eyes remained on her phone. Not only if Scott called, but also her dad to see if they had yet to find any lead on Heather. Which he hadn't. The longer the night went on, the more discouraged Natalie was getting. At this point, she just wanted to go to bed, but she also knew better that there was now resting until every mystery was solved and everyone made it through the night alive.

So much for taking things easy these next few months…

As they started to drive over to Stiles's house so they could wait for Scott (and finally get away from Peter's sassy and annoying attitude), Natalie's phone finally rang. She was so relieved that she didn't even check to see who was calling before she pressed the ANSWER button.

"Oh, thank god, Scott," Natalie exhaled after she put it on speaker, "What happened? Is Erica alive? Did Derek and Anabelle get eaten?"

"Uh, definitely not Scott."

The fuck? Stiles and Natalie looked at each other.

"Zach? What's up?"

"I was wondering if you and Stiles could take me somewhere tonight?" Zach said hesitantly.

"Now's not exactly a great time, dude," Stiles told him, "We're kind of on a mission here."

"And you seriously couldn't ask Mom to take you?" Natalie asked.

Her brother sighed on the other end. "Okay, let me phrase this differently- you guys have to pick me up."

"Why, what's going on?" Stiles asked.

"Lydia called me and she-"

"Whoa, whoa, wait, back up." Natalie twisted her pinky finger in her ear to clean it because there was no way she heard that correctly. "Lydia called you? Lydia Martin? My friend Lydia. She called you."

"Don't act so surprised," Zach said sarcastically.

"I just curious on why you guys have each other's phone numbers," Stiles wondered.

"Like I'm gonna question it. Anyway, she's at the local pool right now. Why she was there to begin with, I don't know. But she said she found a dead body."

Holy fuck.

Stiles and Natalie's hearts dropped to the pit of their stomachs. Don't tell them that Boyd and whoever was in the vault with him actually got out. Who else could have done it? Either way, they had to crack the case before anyone else died tonight.

"We'll be right there," Natalie told her little brother, "Tell Lydia to sit tight." She turned to her boyfriend. "Punch it, baby."

With her permission, Stiles stomped on the gas pedal and drove straight to Natalie's house to pick up the youngest Henderson. They arrived to the community pool shortly after collecting Zach. The three of them got out of the jeep and ran to Lydia, who was frozen in fear and staring down at her feet.

"Lydia?" Natalie called out, "Lydia?" She hugged her friend as soon as she saw her. "Lyds, are you okay?"

"I'm okay," the strawberry blonde nodded, "That, over there… not okay."

Stiles, Natalie, and Zach looked up at the lifeguard chair and oh god, it was a sight that could make even the strongest of stomach's feel queasy. A boy about their age looked to have been slashed at the neck and their head was bashed in. Blood ran down from his chair and pooled at edge of the water. Yep, that kid was definitely dead.

Zach shuddered. "Ugh, gross." But then he reached his hand towards the body and Natalie smacked it down. "Ow!"

"Don't touch it, you weirdo," his sister scolded.

"Yeah, alright," Stiles said, "I'm gonna call my dad."

"I already called 911," Lydia told him.

The other redhead sputtered. "Uh, Lyds? You called the police before you called us?"

"I'm supposed to call you first when I find a dead body?" Lydia asked incredulously.

"Yes!" Stiles and Natalie yelled in unison.

"Okay, okay, let's not yell at the pretty girl here," Zach said, throwing his arm around Lydia's shoulder, "What we need to do is call Scott and warn him."

"We've been trying all night but he hasn't picked up," Stiles said. Timing was finally on their side for once because right then, Scott was finally calling Stiles. "Oh, thank you, Jesus." He put the phone up to his ear. "Hey, Scott, something really bad just happened."

Lydia shrugged Zach arm off her shoulders, making the boy pout. Natalie rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, I don't know why thought it would be a good idea to pull any moves on her right now," she scoffed.

"I'm just trying to be comforting!" Zach hissed, "God, this is what I get for being nice…"

Meanwhile, Stiles was just finishing up explaining to Scott what they had just discovered. "Are you sure?"

"Yep," Stiles answered, "Throat ripped out, blood everywhere. It's like the frickin' shining over here. If two little twin girls come out of the woods, start asking me to play with them forever and ever, I'm not gonna be surprised."

"Can you get a little closer to make sure it was them?" Scott asked.

"Make sure it was them?" Stiles repeated in disbelief, "Scott, who else is going around ripping throats out?"

"Please just do it."

Pushing his girlfriend forward, Stiles told her, "You do it."

"Why do I have to do it?!" Natalie shrieked.

"Because out of the two of us you're the least likely to faint."

"Fine," Natalie groaned, "but I hope you know that this just proves that I wear the pants in this relationship."

Each step she took closer to the body she could hear the music from Psycho playing in her head. Under her breath she kept mumbling to herself, "oh god, oh god". A part of her expected the body to start moving at one point because that wouldn't be completely out of the norm in this town. But no, fortunately he was very much dead. Well, not fortunately. His throat certainly was slashed and the blood that had poured out of it earlier was already dried up. Like Stiles said, there really was so much blood. Natalie's eyes followed the trail it left from his neck down to his chest and even down to his fingers, one of them with a ring that read the word 'purity'.

Hm. Not really a common thing among teenage boys anymore.

"Babe." Natalie turned around to see Stiles staring at her while still holding the phone to his ear. "How does it look?"

The redhead sighed. "Yeah. His throat's definitely slashed."

Deep in the preserve was a young woman named Caitlin, sitting next to a campfire next to her tent. Police cars surrounded her, red and blue lights blaring. Noah and Kurt wrapped a blanket around her shoulders to not only keep her warm, but also calm as she was still stunned by everything that had happened within the past hour.

Tonight was supposed to be special for Caitlin and her girlfriend, Emily. It was going to be their first time being intimate together and so far, everything had been going according to plan. But Emily had a massive fear of bugs so when a big one crawled on her, she ran out of the tent screaming. Caitlin tried to chase and call out for her but there was no sign of her. As if all of that wasn't bad enough, a monstrous looking girl had tried to kill her afterwards. She was saved by three guys and two girls. That still didn't rid all the tension in her body while explaining this to the police.

Kurt was sitting next to Caitlin while Noah remained standing. "So, Caitlin," Kurt said, "you and Emily, were the two of you drinking?"

"No," Caitlin shook her head, "No."

"Nothing else?" Kurt asked. The girl went quiet. "Caitlin…"

"We split a tab of 'X'."

"Well, MDMA can cause hallucinations, and it could've been laced with something too," Noah said.

The girl chuckled humorlessly. "You think I hallucinated."

"You think you saw a girl with glowing eyes and fangs?" Noah asked in disbelief.

"And claws," Caitlin added because yeah, let's not forget that part.

Noah placed his hand on her shoulder supportively. "Hey, we're gonna get you to the hospital, figure out exactly what it was that you took."

"What about the other five?" Caitlin asked, "The three guys and the other two girls?"

"We'll need better descriptions of them too," Kurt told her.

His best friend nodded and then they both started to walk away. When they stopped at the sheriff's car, they leaned closer so they could whisper without Caitlin hearing them.

"Let's get an APB out on Emily," Noah told the deputy, "The other girl too, as soon as we get something better than claws and fangs."

"Do you think we should actually believe her?" Kurt asked, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

"She saw something," the sheriff countered.

"Not just something. Someone."

Because they were all nosy as hell, after the police arrived to pick up the dead body and inspect the crime scene, Stiles, Natalie, and Zach followed Lydia back to her house. Of course this annoyed the strawberry blonde very much. But she still continued to let them follow her even into her house. They walked inside her room and Lydia slipped on her light switch.

"You didn't have to follow me home," she told them.

"We just wanted to make sure that you were okay and that you arrived safely," Natalie said, clearly bulllshitting her friend.

"I had a police escort."

"We know the inner workings of that force, alright?" Stiles retorted, "They're not nearly as reliable as people think."

"Well, you also didn't have to follow me into my room," Lydia shot back.

Stiles started to stutter. "Well, we, uh…" He then patted Zach's shoulder a little too hard. "That was actually all his idea."

The fourteen year old just shrugged his shoulders when Lydia looked at him. "What can I say? Just call me your knight in shining armor, baby."

"Aright, stop it," Natalie said, pushing her brother back, "But if you really want us to, we can leave." She, Stiles, and Zach started to back out of the room.

"Are you guys really gonna go without asking me the question that you've been dying to ask me?" Lydia asked them.

The three of them scoffed and looked at each other. "What?" Natalie laughed nervously, "We haven't been… no! No questions from us here. Nope. Nada."

Sighing, Lydia said, "I can see it on all your faces."

"Maybe our faces just have, like, naturally interrogatory exp- expressions," Stiles said.

"Well, at least his does," Zach said, pointing at his sister's boyfriend.

"Okay, I didn't need help, but thank you, Zachary," Stiles quipped sarcastically.

"Well, your interrogatory expressions are getting on my nerves," Lydia spat.

"We're sorry," Natalie apologized sincerely, sitting next to her friend, "But Lyds… how did you even…"

With a sigh, the strawberry blonde looked down at her hands. "The answer is, I have no clue how I ended up finding that body. I didn't even know where I was until I got out of the car."

"Yeah," Stiles said, "but the last time something like this happened…"

"I know." When Lydia looked up at the three, her eyes were wide and stricken with fear. Almost like a deer in headlights. "Derek's uncle."

Natalie shook her head. "Peter."

The three got back into Stiles's jeep and shut their doors. But Stiles didn't drive off right away. They all sat there, quiet and confused expressions swept all over their faces as they tried to make sense of everything that was not only happening with Lydia, but also what they had just seen at the pool.

"It's weird, right?" Natalie asked, breaking the silence.

"What?" Stiles shot back, "Her not remembering how she got there?"

"Yeah," the redhead nodded, "I've been in the car with her before. She's usually very good with directions. How is it that she just ended up there when the store wasn't even near there?"

"Not to mention that there just so happened to be a dead body in that location," Stiles pointed out.

"Do you think…" Zach started to say, "do you think that she was actually meant to find that body?"

The couple almost wanted to ridicule him for saying something so outlandish and ridiculous. Come to think of it, was that theory really so far out there? Given everything else that was weird about this town, it wasn't a odd thing to entertain. But why did Lydia keep getting drawn to all of these scenarios with dead people? What was it about her?

Breaking their thoughts, Stiles's phone rang. His eyebrows furrowed at the caller ID.

"Who is it?" Natalie asked.

"Melissa." Stiles put the call on speaker. "Hello?"

"Stiles," their best friend's mom answered, "I'm assuming Natalie's with you?"

"Hey, Mama McCall," said girl responded.

"Is everything alright?" Stiles asked.

Melissa paused. "Well… I guess define 'alright'. The body you guys found came in and while I was performing the autopsy… I think you guys might actually need to come take a look at this."

That never sounded good.

So that's how they ended up at the hospital. The three of them rushed inside and right away saw Melissa standing at the front desk, flipping through some paperwork. Stiles, Natalie, and Zach stopped next to her and the redhead tapped her on the shoulder. Melissa looked up at them and smiled.

"Hey."

"Hey," the teenagers greeted in unison.

"Over here." Melissa linked her arms with Stiles and Natalie's as she led them through the hallway, Zach following behind. "And if any of you tell anyone that I showed you this, I swear to God, I will kill all of you painfully and slowly."

"Why do you want to show us a body we've already seen?" Stiles questioned.

"Because you haven't seen everything," Melissa told them.

Behind Melissa's head, Stiles and Natalie shot each other questioning glances. What more could there possibly be that they really haven't seen yet?

Scott's mom led them to the autopsy room where two gurneys were sitting in the center of the room. She shut the door behind her after scoping around to making sure no one was watching her allow three teenagers in there. After making sure the coast was clear, Melissa walked over to one of the gurneys and pulled off one of the covers, revealing the boy who was found at the pool. All of the blood was cleaned off, making it easier to detect the marks on his body.

"See this around his neck?" Melissa asked, pointing to a line that was above the gash on his throat, "That's a ligature mark. That means that he was strangled with something, like cord, rope-"

"Hold on a second," Natalie interrupted, shaking her head, "why would a werewolf strangle someone before slashing their throat?"

"Yeah, you know, that's not very werewolf-y," Stiles added.

Melissa nodded her head. "My thoughts exactly. And then there's this." She tilted the boys head, revealing a large gash that was still bloody.

It was enough to make all three of the teenagers gag. "Oh, god, that's brain matter," Zach shuddered, "Ugh, it's even grosser than in movies."

"See the indentation?" Melissa said, "He was hit in the back of the head, hard enough to kill him. In fact, any one of these things could have killed him. I mean, someone seriously wanted this poor kid dead."

"Alright, so then this couldn't have been Boyd or Cora, you know?" Stiles realized, "They wouldn't have done all that. So maybe this is just one murder. I mean, maybe it's just a random coincidence."

"I don't think it was just one," Melissa said.

"Why do you think that?" Natalie asked.

"Because that girl over there," the nurse said, nodding towards the other covered gurney, "she's got the exact same injuries."

They all then walked over the other gurney and Melissa revealed the girl that was underneath the cover. Natalie couldn't hold back the gasp she let out and she immediately turned away when she saw who it was.

Heather.

Had Natalie's father known that she was dead? Why didn't he tell her anything? She couldn't believe it… one of the very first friends she had made growing up was lying dead in front of her. And based off the injuries on her body, Heather definitely suffered. It was too much for Natalie to bear and she couldn't stop the silent tears that were flooding the bottom of her doe eyes. Stiles turned to her, knowing that his girlfriend was struck with grief over the sudden loss. He rubbed her back as lovingly as he could. Then he pulled her close to him as Melissa spoke.

"The M.E. said this one wasn't just strangled," she told them, "Whoever did it used a garrote, which is a stick that you put through the rope, and you just kind of keep twisting, and..." She finally noticed Natalie crying in Stiles's arms. "Natalie? Oh my God, did you know her?" Natalie nodded. "I'm so sorry. I didn't even think." She pulled the cover back over Heather.

Sniffling, Natalie wiped her eyes. "I've known her since we were little. The boys and I were at her birthday party. Her- her name was Heather."

Melissa sighed sadly. "Okay, we need to call your father. Both of your fathers, 'cause you're witnesses."

The redhead didn't say anything. She was way too deep in her head. Her mind went back to when they found the boy at the pool. The purity ring on his finger was the only thing that seemed clear in the moment. Melissa called Natalie's name but the girl still didn't answer when she remembered what Heather had told her at her party a couple nights ago.

"I'm gonna lose my virginity tonight," Heather giggled in Natalie's ear.

"Uh… good for you," Natalie said, awkwardly patting Heather's arm.

"Also…" Heather lowered her voice so the boys wouldn't hear, "Your mom told my mom who told me about your cancer." She twirled a strand of red velvet hair with her finger. "So maybe one day after I finally lose my virginity, we could have a threesome with your boyfriend over there. Cross something off your bucket list."

Gulping, Natalie said, "I'm not exactly sure that's on my bucket list-"

The blonde kissed her one last time.

Oh, holy shit.

"Nat?" Stiles asked in concern, "What is it?"

"Heather was a virgin," Natalie said.

"So?" Zach questioned.

"And that boy is wearing a purity ring," Natalie added.

Stiles's eyes widened as he put two and two together of where his girlfriend was getting at. He looked up at Melissa. "Has anyone else been through here tonight? Any- any other bodies, or even anybody missing?"

"Uh, no, no bodies," Melissa shook her head, "but, um..."

"What?" Stiles asked.

"Two girls," Melissa said, "They brought the first one in, Caitlin, for a tox screen, and then I overheard that her girlfriend, Emily, just disappeared. I mean, they were out in the woods and-"

"Nobody's found her yet?" Natalie asked.

"I don't know."

Natalie nodded. "Okay, the first girl…"

"Caitlin."

"Is she still here? Is she here right now?"

"I think so," Melissa answered.

"Okay, where?" Stiles asked. He and Natalie tried to head towards the door put Melissa placed her hands on their shoulders.

"Okay, okay, wait," she told them, "Just wait a minute."

"We have to talk to her," Natalie insisted.

"Why?"

The young couple looked at each other. Stiles nodded. "Because we think we know what's happening."

This was so against hospital policy. But damn, these teenagers were so persistent. So with great hesitance, Melissa let her son's best friends go inside Caitlin's room where the girl was laying in the hospital bed so they could interrogate- or ask her some questions. Whichever was the more appropriate term. The poor girl looked so confused when she saw the three strangers suddenly standing in her room, but when she realized that they meant no harm, she started to relax a bit more. Melissa and Zach kept watch at the door while Stiles and Natalie spoke with Caitlin.

"We weren't doing anything that bad." She told them, "I mean, I've camped out there plenty of times."

"Right, but why tonight?" Stiles asked.

"We wanted to be alone for one night," Caitlin said, "Emily lives with her mom, and I have three roommates. Not exactly romantic settings, you know?"

"How long have you two been together?"

"Three months."

Nonverbally asking for permission, Natalie sat down at the foot of the bed since her body was feeling achy. "I'm guessing you wanted the night to be romantic."

Caitlin nodded, obviously a little embarrassed talking about this. "Yeah, you know, because…"

"Because it was her first time," Natalie finished.

"They're gonna find her, right?" Caitlin asked them, "Aren't they?"

Melissa placed her hand on top of the girl's to comfort her. "They're going to do everything they can."

Although none of them were feeling too confident about the outcome themselves.

Stiles and Zach went outside to wait for Scott to come to the hospital so they could catch him up on everything and show him the dead bodies. But Natalie wasn't feeling too great, emotionally and due to her chemo pills. So she opted out on going outside and decided to sit on the floor against the wall in the hallway. Her bony knees were drawn close to her chest and she rested her cheek on them. She wasn't crying anymore but she was still feeling so remorseful over what had happened in the past twelve hours or so.

First Erica dies and now Heather. That was two girls she had some sort of friendships with suddenly gone. Natalie wasn't as close with the beta, but she felt Delilah's heartbreak when she found out her best friend had died. It was how Natalie was currently feeling over Heather. While they hadn't hung out with each other often over the past few years, she still meant a lot to the redhead. And now she couldn't help but feel somewhat responsible for her murder. Like if she had just stayed with her the night of her birthday, Heather could have possibly stayed alive. Maybe not if her and Stiles's theory was correct.

It was unfair for both of those girls to have died. They both had a future ahead of them. A chance of living a long and healthy life. And here Natalie was, withering away day by day. Yet she was still alive. How fucking cruel that was to have those girls leave earth before her. While Natalie's days were already limited, she still should be dead before any of these kids who have died within these past couple days. She actually felt guilty for being alive. Isn't that the saddest thing you have ever heard?

She didn't look up when she felt someone sit next to her on the floor. But the tension in her body ease when she felt Melissa's hand on her back.

"Nat, I am so sorry you had to see that, honey," she told the girl, "I had no idea you and that girl were friends."

"It's fine," Natalie said meekly, "It's not your fault."

"I talked to your dad just now," Melissa said, "He wanted to tell you himself about your friend but he didn't want to overwhelm you with everything else going. But are you feeling okay?"

"Not really," Natalie admitted. She stared at the wall in front of her. "If anything, all of these deaths made me realize life is just so damn short. And I don't know what scarier, knowing that you have a timeline or not knowing when you're life will end."

The nurse placed her hand on Natalie's knee. "That's why you have to live every day like it is your last."

"Which is a lot harder to do when your running for your life from every other deadly threat like mutant dogs and lizard boys."

"Yeah, that's definitely not the world I expected you kids to grow up in. But at least you still have Stiles. He's still normal… ish."

That made Natalie chuckle. "Yeah, I guess… even though it's not getting any easier to keep all of this from him."

"You still haven't told him about the tumor?" Melissa asked with wide eyes.

"How could I possible tell the boy I've loved all my life that I'm going to die? You saw how he was when I had cancer the first time. He acted like his world was ending. And then when his mom died…" Natalie wiped away a tear she didn't realize was rolling down her cheek. "I can't put him through that again."

"Unfortunately, honey, you don't have a choice," Melissa told her.

"I know…"

Melissa wrapped her arms around the redhead and Natalie rested her head on her shoulder. "Listen. Relationships are all about communication, honesty, and trust. It's never easy to talk about the hard stuff. But if you two love each other like I know you both do, you can work through it. And don't you think that if you told him sooner, you would be able to make the best of your final moments together?"

Shrugging, Natalie answered, "I guess."

"Stiles absolutely adores you, Natalie. And I know he's not going to take this lightly. But the longer you wait, the more painful it's going to be for the both of you."

"God, what is it with parents having to be right all the time?" Natalie laughed again, shaking her head.

"It's our job," Melissa laughed along. Her pager beeped and she looked down at it. "I have to go answer a call. But be honest with Stiles, Natalie. That's all you can do." She kissed Natalie on the top of her head and went to continue on with work.

Deciding that she had enough of sitting, Natalie finally stood up and went to go join her boyfriend and her brother outside. But she stopped just before she could step out the door.

She watched the two boys talking and laughing with each other over something they read on Zach's phone. Naturally her eyes fell on Stiles. Dorky but sweet Stiles. He really was the light in her dark world. Just thinking about leaving him at the end of the year was too painful for her. Telling him was going to be the biggest bitch on the planet. Natalie wanted to cry just from the thought of it. But Melissa was right. This wasn't something Natalie could prolong. She had to tell Stiles the truth. It was going to be the hardest thing she'll ever have to do, but he needed to know.

Finally Natalie decided to make her presence known and join the boys outside. Stiles looked up at her and walked over to her. He wrapped his arms around her waist.

"You holding up okay?" Stiles asked her.

"As much as I can," Natalie answered honestly. One of her hands cradled the back of her boyfriend's head. "There's actually something I need to talk to you about."

"Of course," Stiles nodded, "Is everything alright?"

Here goes nothing. "Well, you see… I… um, I-"

"Hey!" They both and Zach turned around and saw Scott walk up to them. "Sorry. It's been a wild night. Boyd and Cora attacked Anabelle."

"What?" Zach asked with wide eyes, "She's okay though, right?"

"Yeah, she's fine," Scott told them, "Derek took her back to their place to help her heal. But she's alive and Boyd and Cora have finally tired themselves out. Anyway, you guys said you had something to show me?"

"Um, yeah," Stiles said, "Zach, why don't you guys go ahead to the autopsy room? Nat and I will follow you in a couple minutes." The youngest Henderson shrugged and he and Scott walked inside the hospital. Stiles turned back to Natalie. "Sorry about that. What was it that you wanted to talk about?"

Natalie smiled softly. "You know what? It can wait."

"You sure?" Stiles asked.

"Yeah," his girlfriend assured him, "Let's just go show Scott what we found." She kissed Stiles on the lips and held his hand as they walked back inside.

God, Natalie was such a pussy.

They met up with Scott and Zach in the autopsy room and revealed the injuries on Heather and the boy from the pool to him. As soon as Scott got all the physical evidence he needed, Natalie covered Heather's face back up. It was going to be the last time she ever saw her friend again.

"So Boyd and Cora might not have killed anyone?" Scott asked.

"You're going to wish they did, Scotty," Natalie told him.

"Why?"

"We're not exactly sure yet," Stiles said, "The other girl who was out in the woods, Emily? Eventually they're gonna find her. She's one of them. Emily, Heather... that guy Lydia found at the pool. All three were virgins... and they're all gonna have the same three injuries... strangled, throat slashed, head bashed in. It's called the threefold death."

"So if these aren't random killings, then what are they?" Scott asked.

"Sacrifices," Natalie answered, "Human sacrifices."
