Welcome to Day 25: Gazing into each other's eyes.
Lincoln and Stella were hanging out at Mollie's house. Lincoln was on the couch with Stella.
"I know it's rough," Stella said. "But we're gonna get through this".
Mollie and her dad came in.
"Hey guys," Mollie said.
"Hello there," Lincoln and Stella said to them.
"What's his problem?" Mollie's dad asked.
"Lincoln's still a little shaken up about the message that caused me to have a fight with him," Stella answered.
"I'm really shaken up," Lincoln said. "That message looked really real."
Stella, Mollie and her dad all gave him a hug.
"Thanks," Lincoln said.
Mollie commented, "you look like you needed that. We have the pool ready for you and Stella if you wanna spend some time in it".
"I'm in," Stella said. "And Lincoln, you're coming too."
"OK!" Lincoln said.
They both change into their swimsuits and climb into the pool. Like last time they were in the pool, Stella held onto Lincoln so he wouldn't drown in the deep end.
"See?" Stella asked. "doesn't this feel nice? Both of us holding each other close as we relax and gaze into each other's eyes."
"Yeah!" Lincoln said with a little smile.
He then begins to stroke his fingers against Stella's face and smiles even more.
"Your skin really is silky soft," Lincoln said.
"I bet I'm as soft as a kitten," Stella said. "Or a bunny," she said remembering her pet rabbit
"Softer!" Lincoln quietly said out loud. He then begins to kiss her neck, which made her smile.
"That's it!" Stella said. "I feel like I made it into a side of heaven I never want to pull myself out of".
"I feel the same way about you, Stella," Lincoln said to her.
It was just swell.
A few moments later, Lincoln got an idea.
"Do you mind if I turn on some music?" he asked.
"Go right ahead," Stella answered.
With that, Lincoln turned on 30 minutes of relaxing music.
"You know," Lincoln said. "It's times like this where I wish we didn't have to spend any more time apart from each other".
Stella stroked Lincoln's hair as if her hand was like a hairbrush.
"I can understand exactly how that feels right now," she said to him. "Your hair reminds me of our pet rabbits more than mine alone does".
"Maybe we don't have to be apart anymore," Lincoln said. "Or at least we wouldn't if we were old enough".
"I don't get it," Stella said.
"This world is a little too scary to be separated," Lincoln said. "But together, we can get through it. If we were old enough, I'd ask if you would marry me".
Stella was shocked by what Lincoln said.
"Oh my god," Stella said. "If we were old enough, I would totally say yes to marrying you. Yes indeed".
Lincoln and Stella gave each other a deep and embracive kiss.
"Getting married to one like you would be the most enjoyable thing to ever happen to me," Stella said.
"I think it would be just as awesome as myself," Lincoln said.
10 of the 30 minutes with the relaxing music in the background has disappeared. The 2 of them decided to spend the remaining 20 minutes taking a little nap on the side of the pool. Mollie peeked outside to see if Lincoln and Stella were alright. They were, so Mollie went back inside.
"Those 2 are alright," she told her dad. "They're just relaxing on the side of the pool".
"I'm glad to see those 2 as friends again," he said.
They were both glad. What were Lincoln and Stella dreaming about during their nap? Who knows? It's up to you to decide.
