Ash and Lillie vs The Radiant One

"Alright so group one will head in first and provide a distraction as the Beast King will surely send out his army once he senses invaders." Dulse addressed the Ultra Guardians. After ensuring that everyone got a good night's rest, the Ultra Guardians formed together and began prepping up for a journey to Dulse and Zossie's home world. Zach and Dawn could be seen standing beside the Ultra Guardians, having been provided their own uniforms. Dawn's uniform was violet while Zach's had a scarlet coloring to it.

"That would be Dawn, Mallow, Lana and Zach." Gladion stated. "Group two will come in and provide cover fire as the final group makes their way up the tower to confront the Beast King. That will be Sophocles, Marnie, Kiawe and myself. Ash and Lillie will go up to face the Beast King on their own alongside the two spacemen." Much as Gladion didn't want to send Lillie up there, she was the one that bonded with Lunala. Gladion reached into his pocket before handing Lillie a purple z-crystal.

"Almost forgot to give you this, last time we saw a Lunala I received that but it's just been collecting pocket lint as I have had no use for it since. You'll get more use from it than I will."

Lillie smiled before giving her brother a quick hug. "Thank you,"

Dulse let out a cough to get their attention as he stood nearby with Lunala, beckoning for the first group to step forward. The group bade their farewells before hopping onto Lunala's back with her disappearing into a wormhole not long after. After a few minutes Lunala showed back up and cried out for the other group as Kiawe, Marnie, Sophocles and Gladion all stepped forward with Gladion giving one last look at his sister before climbing onto Lunala as she soon disappeared. Lunala then reappeared for the final time and Dulse beckoned for Zossie, Ash and Lillie to climb aboard.

"It feels so strange going back home!" Zossie spoke up before looking around to take in earth's view for a final time. "I'm really going to miss this place..."

Dulse was rather silent and his helmet masked visible facial reaction, he let out a shout and Lunala opened up another portal before flying on into it. Ash formed a tight grip on Lunala as she flew through Ultra Space. When Lunala went through another portal, Ash couldn't help but let out a gasp of awe. This world wasn't like the worlds where Nihilego and his Poipole, or even the two wasteland dimensions that he'd visited! There was a large, vast and futuristic looking city that stretched for as far as the eye could see however strangely enough none of the buildings were lit up as everything was cast in darkness!

The only visible light he could see was off in the distance as a green flame was visible, most likely Zach utilizing Marshadow's z-move and as they flew above his suspicions were correct as they'd see Zach, Dawn, Mallow and Lana currently engaged against a horde of Buzzwole and Pheromosa as Lucario, Cinderace, Dragonite, Zeraora, Marshadow, Luxray, Tsareena, Piplup, Mamoswine, Pachirisu, Milotic, Typhlosion, Ribombee, Primarina and Vaporeon could be seen sparing off against the Ultra Beasts!

Further on ahead another light occurred as Kiawe and Gladion utilized Inferno Overdrive while Marnie's Grimmsnarl blasted back a Kartana with Black Hole Eclipse! The second group was currently under siege by a horde of Kartana, Xurkitree and Blacephalon! Dulse didn't make any attempt at slowing down to aid either group as they made their way to a large tower that had a source of light up at the top of it, Dulse directed Lunala to fly up to the top of the tower as that was where their target laid before they were suddenly shot down from the sky by a barrage of Dragon Pulses! Lunala was struck in a critical spot on her wing resulting in her rapidly crashing towards the ground before sliding along the dirt!

The four heroes were thrown off Lunala, thankfully for Dulse and Zossie they were wearing helmets which helped dull the pain. Ash and Lillie weren't so lucky as they held onto their heads while uttering out a soft groan of annoyance, Pikachu copying their actions before going wide eyed as he pointed at the sky above them. A horde of Naganadel were flying around the tower, making it impossible for them to simply just fly up! They'd have to go in and walk the stairs. Dulse let out a groan of annoyance and waved his hand. "Come on Zossie, you two... up." He walked towards the tower before freezing up and Ash soon saw why as a man with a light blue skin tone walked right on out of the tower, his eyes resembled Lusamine's when she was possessed by Nihilego! One of them had short blue hair along with quite the fancy looking moustache and goatee. The man gave a creepy smirk at Dulse as he growled out.

"Captain Phyco! What did he do to you...?"

"He made our people whole Dulse." Phyco spoke while stretching his arms forward as he walked towards the others as if he were a zombie. "Join us, you'll be complete just like us!"

"I refuse to be some lowly human's slave, Naganadel let's go!" Dulse sent out his Naganadel only for it to quickly get overwhelmed as Phyco whistled, he was apparently the leader of Dulse's world as the Naganadel all listened to him!

"Pikachu we've got to help him!" Ash growled out while Lillie was busy tending to Lunala, spraying the Ultra Beast with a Hyper Potion in order to help it regain it's strength. Ash whipped out his z-power ring and activated it while tossing his hat towards Pikachu who swiftly leaped up to catch it. "10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt, let's go!"

Pikachu's cheeks sparked as thunder clouds formed above his head, Pikachu was quick to begin absorbing electricity from the clouds and appeared to still have some excess power from draining Mirror Pikachu as the resulting attack was quite larger and more spread out than usual! Multiple colored streaks of electricity burst through the air, striking each and every Naganadel along with the brainwashed Phyco as they all let out a pain filled shock before dropping down to the ground in defeat!

Dulse looked around before looking back at Ash. "Impressive, quite impressive... I've never seen-look out!" Dulse suddenly shouted out as one of the Naganadel quickly shot up and raced right for Ash! Zossie was quick to cover her eyes as she was expecting her friend to get impaled however she merely heard laughter along with the familiar happy cries of the species.

"Naga!" Zossie uncovered her eyes and couldn't help but smile at the sight as Dulse stared in disbelief and even yanked his helmet off to ensure that he was seeing correctly.

"Impossible!" Dulse gasped. "How on earth did you get that Naganadel to show you that amount of affection, you're just a human!"

"This is my Naganadel or at least it was. I set him free to live in his home world back when he was a Poipole and he returned a few months later as a fully grown Naganadel to fend off a Guzzlord invasion and also aid me in cementing my status as the Alola champ! It's good to see you again, buddy!" Ash grinned as Naganadel let out a happy cry.

"So cute!" Zossie gushed out as she watched the admiration that Naganadel had for Ash and felt rather jealous as she wished to have a Pokemon look at her that way! She had yet to receive a Poipole and had always wanted one but now after seeing Ash and the love and connection he had with all sorts of Pokemon, she was starting to desire the idea of having a different Pokemon for her starter.

The other Naganadel looked around in confusion before slowly rising upwards while Phyco stood up, rubbing his head while a yellow patterned Nihilego laid next to him. Lillie was rather quick to act and chucked a Beast Ball at the Nihilego as she didn't want to risk Nihilego enhancing their connection to Phyco like one had done with her mother, figuring to set it free later. Everyone had come with a full arsenal of Beast Balls as other than Poipole and Naganadel, the Ultra Beasts weren't native to the world at all!

Ash looked at the Naganadel as the spell appeared to have been broken, he glanced back in the direction of his friends before looking back at his own Naganadel. "Naganadel I know we just got back together but could you help my friends back there? They probably need the assistance more than we do." Ash nervously chuckled as Naganadel gave Ash a nod before emitting a cry of it's name as it took to the sky with the other Naganadel soon following behind!

"You okay?" Dulse asked as he approached his friend.

Phyco rubbed his head with a light groan before shaking his head. "I-I think so... wait, the Beast King! He's got Solgaleo and the Radiant One captured! We must save the-Ugh!" Phyco promptly dropped to his knees with a weakened expression.

Dulse placed his hands on their shoulders. "No, you need to rest. I'll take care of it."

"But Dulse your Naganadel is toast! How are you going to fight?!" Zossie exclaimed. Dulse clenched his fists as he realized that she was right, he gave Ash and Lillie one last look.

"I guess you two are our last hope then. Go, reach the top and save Solgaleo and the Radiant One!"

Ash and Lillie gave a quick nod with Lillie returning Lunala so she could rest up as they climbed the tower. "Don't you worry, we'll handle this!" Ash exclaimed as he pumped his fists.

"Pika!"

"Yeah, we'll save Solgaleo and free your people!" Lillie chimed in as she copied the other two's actions before the three rushed into the tower and quickly began ascending the long flight of stairs where upon reaching the top they'd notice a Dusk Mane Necrozma standing at the top alongside a man wearing a similar suit to the Ultra Recon Squad members only his was entirely plated in gold colorings while the top of his helmet was shaped in the form of a crown!

"So you're the Chosen One that this Solgaleo warned me about..." The man spoke up as he looked Ash over before letting out a crazed laughter. "Don't look impressive to me!"

"Wait a moment, a Solgaleo?" Lillie spoke up, her words caused the Beast King to flinch for a brief second as he recognized the voice before quickly falling back into his crazed state. Being stranded in Ultra Space for nearly two decades and being stuck eating nothing save for a diet of strange alien plants would do that to a man. "The only Solgaleo we know is..."

"Nebby?!" Ash was quick to exclaim as he looked upon the Dusk Mane Necrozma. No wonder Nebby hadn't shown up to help, he was already captured and under control! "Nebby this is Ash, I know you're in there buddy so please wake up! We don't want to hurt you, I've even got some of your favorite candy!" Ash pulled out the bag full of star candy and began shaking it causing Nebby to stir for a brief moment as a smile faintly crossed his face before quickly disappearing as the beast let out a growl.

"I'm afraid that you won't be able to stop me, hahaha! Lunala, especially a newborn is just too weak to fight against Necrozma!"

"We'll show you, get ready Lillie!" Ash growled out to his girlfriend, Lillie gave him a firm nod as the two began quickly posing in synch with Lunala and Pikachu.

"10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt!"

"Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom!" Lillie called out.

Pikachu began firing off the series of multicolored thunder bolts, the attack still proving to be juiced up as the bolts were quite large and had visible impact on Dusk Mane Necrozma as he was pushed back. Lunala transformed into her Full Moon form and fired down a series of six purple energy beams simultaneously down upon her opponent, knocking Dusk Mane Necrozma back and pushing him against the edge as Beast King could be heard letting out a grunt of annoyance, quickly activating what appeared to be a homemade z-ring as he shouted out.

"Light that Burns the Sky!" Necrozma began shifting and changing form into Ultra Necrozma! Ash and Lillie took a step back and looked fearful for a second, Lillie even letting out a scream that caused Beast King to hold the top of his head as he uttered out a groan. Ultra Necrozma lifted up his head as he began forming a rather large green energy sphere within his mouth that kept growing and growing, looking like the size of a building as Ash gave Lillie a look before beckoning her to get far from the Pokemon. He'd never see nor knew of this z-move but it felt like bad news and his suspicion was proven correct as the massive energy sphere was flung at Lunala and Pikachu before forming a massive explosion that shook the tower around them, the floor began getting unstable while pieces of the siding began falling off, offering little to no protection if somebody were to fall off!

Pikachu was out cold as the explosion died out while Lunala was down on her knees and grunting out in pain.

"Greninja, fetch Pikachu!" Ash threw forward the ball containing his faithful Water type before grabbing another ball. "Charizard use Flamethrower!"

As Greninja fetched Pikachu, Charizard flew forward and assaulted Ultra Necrozma with a powerful stream of fire.

"Moongeist Beam!" Lillie extended her arm as Lunala fired off a massive beam of blue energy down upon Ultra Necrozma. The Pokemon was still standing strong however, giving Ash and Lillie an intimidating stare.

"Prismatic Laser!" Necrozma fired off a series of multicolored lasers at Charizard and Greninja, Greninja stayed firmly upwards and looked as if it had no effect making Ash realize that Necrozma was definitely a Psychic type as there was no other reason for Greninja to not be harmed! Unfortunately for Charizard though the beam proved to be too much and he collapsed in defeat.

"Greninja, let's go!" Ash pumped his fist as the two began posing his synch, Greninja's body became encased in a bright orange sphere before it faded away to reveal Ash-Greninja!

Ash then threw forward the ball containing Latias before activating her Mega form. "Greninja use Water Shuriken, Latias use Dragon Pulse!"

Greninja began forming his giant orange Water Shuriken while Latias fired up a sphere of green-blue energy and fired it at Ultra Necrozma! The two attacks struck and knocked Necrozma back, the Pokemon began looking dazed and Ash thought of this as an opportunity to try once more to get through to Nebby!

"Nebby, please wake up! I'll give you all the star candy you desire if you just wake up now!"

"Roar?" A lion roar could be heard as Necrozma turned back to normal for a brief second as Nebby began attempting to claw his way out only for Necrozma to shove him back in!

"Power Gem!" Ultra Necrozma fired a bright blue and white energy blast from his mouth, sending the attack flying towards Mega Latias and Ash-Greninja and sending the pair flying! The two Pokemon got back up but were looking visibly tired, things were looking bad as Lunala was also looking worn out, having to have sat the past few rounds out as she recovered. Ash began wondering if it was even possible to win against him for a moment before shaking it off. "No, nothing's impossible. Greninja use-"

"Ash!" Dulse's Naganadel flew up and opened up a portal as the rest of the Ultra Guardian's stepped on out, it appeared as if they'd finished up cleaning the streets and the rest of the Ultra Recon Squad also looked fully recovered and ready to fight alongside Dulse and the others.

While Ash was distracted he wouldn't notice a blue feline Pokemon quickly teleport right in front of him and Lillie, touching their z-power rings and recharging them as Mew offered his aid before going invisible once more.

"Come on everyone, if we all use our z-moves together that should be enough to finish Necrozma!" Kiawe shouted as he held up his z-ring followed by the rest of the Ultra Guardians doing the same. Ash happened to look down at his own ring and was pleasantly surprised to see it recharged, Lillie noticed and let out a gasp as she saw it was the same situation with her z-ring as well!

Naganadel appeared in front of Ash and dropped a purple z-crystal into his hand as Ash looked down at it before looking up. "Is this Poisonium?" He asked. Naganadel nodded as Ash thought back to Professor Kukui teaching them all the poses. "Alright Acid Downpour right? I've got this!"

"Acid Downpour!" Ash shouted as he utilized a z-move with his faithful Ultra Beast for the first time.

"Inferno Overdrive!" Kiawe shouted.

"Devastating Drake!" Gladion shouted.

"Gigavolt Havoc!" Sophocles cried out.

"Oceanic Operetta!" Lana shouted.

"Bloom Doom!" Mallow cried.

"Black Hole Eclipse!" Marnie shouted.

"Hydro Vortex!" Dawn shouted out.

"Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike!" Zach exclaimed before Lillie finished it off with.

"Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom!" All the z-moves combined into a massive and powerful sphere of multicolored light as it hovered above Naganadel, Marowak, Silvally, Vikavolt, Primarina, Tsareena, Grimmsnarl, Piplup, Marshadow and Lunala before blasting Ultra Necrozma, engulfing the powerful legendary in a bright light! Nebby was thrown out of the beast but it appeared that the light was enough to keep Necrozma in his Ultra form permanently once more much like they'd down before! Ultra Necrozma was laying face first against the tower surface as Beast King started backing up against the edge of the tower, part of his mask started to crack and fall off.

"N-No! T-That's impossible!" His voice sounded normal after the mask broke causing Lillie and Gladion to let out a shared gasp while Ash's eyes shot wide as he recognized the man from a picture Lillie showed him!

"And before you get any ideas," Zach reached for his final Beast Ball and chuckled it at Ultra Necrozma, the ball absorbed the downed legendary before chiming out. Zach immediately turned and handed it to Dulse. Not knowing who Mohn was he wasn't distracted by the situation and not being the great at reading faces he didn't know there was some drama going on. "There you go, I trust it won't fall into enemy hands now that it has a Pokeball!"

Dulse stared at the Beast Ball in disbelief for a moment before bowing his head in appreciation. "Thank you human-er Zach." Dulse corrected himself as both his and Ash's actions that day had finally cleansed away his hatred for humans. He couldn't judge an entire species due to the actions of one human, Zossie was right! He took the ball while Lillie shouted out.

"Dad!"

"Lillie? I-" Mohn held onto his head before the edge of the tower began to crumble and he fell out of view.

"Dad!" Lillie and Gladion rushed right over and saw their father hanging from an edge not far beneath them.

"Hang on dad, we can save you!" Gladion shouted, acting very emotional and quite unlike his usual self.

"No, it's... it's too late for me." Mohn groaned out. "I can already feel my mind slipping, he's coming back... I-I don't want to make you guys have to see me like that. I-I'll destroy you!" He shouted up at them with an enraged expression before holding his forehead once more. "I-I've managed to put another hold on him briefly, I-I just wanted to say it's an honor to see you two have grown into such lovely young and strong adults. I'm so proud of you, I-I'll kill you!" Mohn suddenly let go as 'Beast King' took control again but unfortunately his alter ego failed to process the situation he was in as he began to plummet towards the ground, however Ash's Naganadel was quick to act and caught Mohn before he could hit the ground.

"He's alive..." Lillie breathed out.

"Yeah, now we just need to get him some help. It'll take a good while for his mind to adjust, he was trapped in Ultra Space for nearly two decades." Gladion frowned. He'd ensure that Mohn got the best treatment possible but it could still be a few months before Mohn's mind was properly restored to it's old self.

"Alright Buzzwole first," Soliera spoke up as her Naganadel opened up a portal to a vast jungle world. Dawn, Mallow, Zach and Lana walked forward before releasing the captured Buzzwole into the portal. "Now for Pheromosa!" The first group didn't need to move as they were quick to release the captured Pheromosa into a strange desert planet!

Mohn's unconscious form was propped up by Gladion and Lillie, Gladion having used Hypnosis on his father in order to ensure that there wouldn't be any trouble on the way home. The former Beast King had been stripped of his armor and remained in his former civilian attire which was quite torn and carried a rather unpleasant odor but they'd find him new clothing as soon as they returned home.

Phyco crossed his arms as he looked Dulse and Zossie over. "You two sure about this? Cause as our laws state once you change your home world to a different one you may never come back, this is it." Phyco looked at Dulse in particular as he said that. "You'll be stuck with those humans you 'hate so much' forever with no escape!"

"I'm sure!" Dulse stated as he clenched his fists. "There are so many things out there to be discovered and earth is actually quite a lovely place. I'd like to accompany Zossie on her quest to gather up these 'badges' at this 'Indigo League' we've heard about."

Zossie was shaking in excitement as she looked up at her best friend before pulling him into a tight hug. "I knew you had a heart!"

Dulse fully smiled for the first time ever before stepping on through the portal and Zossie turned and gave an excited shout before waving at all her new friends. "Bye everyone, I hope to see you again someday!" She cried out before skipping happily into a portal that Dulse's Naganadel opened up for them.

Phyco then whistled causing his Nagandel army to open up a series of portals, allowing for the entire Ultra Guardian group to return to earth simultaneously.

Gladion and Lillie carried their father through one and their departure was followed by Lana, Kiawe, Sophocles, Mallow, Zach and Dawn's own departure leaving Ash and Marnie, who watched as Ash turned his gaze towards Nebby and his own Naganadel.

"You wanna come with?" Naganadel nodded and Ash couldn't help but smirk, he always carried his released Pokemon's Pokeballs with him in case they ever wanted to come back so returning Naganadel was little problem! "Welcome back buddy," Ash grinned at the ball before looking up at Nebby. Ash fished around in his bag before holding out a Beast Ball to him.

"You wanna officially join the team?" Nebby gave a nod before gently tapping the Pokeball with his nose, disappearing in a beam of red light before the ball chimed instantly within Ash's hands to announce the capture a success!

"Oh Mohn..." Lusamine sighed out, Wicke wrapped her arm around her in a comforting fashion as she overlooked Mohn who currently sat within a well furnished room within the Aether Foundation while a professional began examining him.

Gladion crossed his arms as he watched, Lillie nervously clung to her brother's arm while fearfully awaiting the results.

"Good news, he'll eventually become his old self. Bad news, it'll take a few months." The professional frowned upon exiting Mohn's room.

"That isn't a problem, money isn't an issue. All that matters is that he returns to us!" Gladion firmly stated while Lillie nodded in agreement.

"R-Right!"

"You guys are leaving? It feels like you just got here!" Sophocles frowned.

"Actually it feels like we've been here for months, I'm ready to face off against Opal and earn my fifth Gym Badge!" Zach exclaimed.

"Carrr!"

"Ace ace!"

"And I've got to battle Raihan within the next three days or else the match is forfeit." Ash sweated. Naturally they were going to Hammerlocke first as Zach could face Opal anytime he wanted.

"Well good luck!" Lana wished the pair good luck.

"You'll need it now that you're in Diamond Class, powerful trainers will be seeking you out wherever you go." Kiawe smirked.

"And be safe, I hope we see each other again soon." Lillie waved.

"Take care!" Mallow waved. The others waved back as they climbed aboard Latias and alpha Garchomp before the dragons took off and soared through the air.

"Lillie... Gladion..." Mohn spoke out. A few months had passed since his rescue and his mind had finally been restored though their was still a few bits and pieces missing, it wasn't anything important.

"Dad!" Lillie eagerly exclaimed, she raced into the room before throwing her arms around her father. Gladion quietly raced into the room, tears falling from his eyes as he joined in.

"Luna!"

"Silva!"

"Nine!"

"Roc!"

"Umbre!"

"Zoro!" Lillie and Gladion's Pokemon cheerfully cried out while tearing up at the heartwarming sight.

Mohn closed his eyes and smiled while holding his children within his arms, the family was now whole again and nothing would tear them apart this time!

Friendship saved the day and now Naganadel is back with Ash while the Necrozma situation has been permanently resolved with Captain Phyco caring for the Ultra Beast. Mohn's also back and cured, sort of... he just won't be encountering Ash and the group until they've caught up to that point further on. Next time, Ash's World Championship match against Raihan!
