0. Objective

The Eradication of Humanity is complete. The past and future of the Human Order has been totally annihilated, incinerated by a great evil. One could say it is their sin, a catastrophe born of their own actions.

Without warning, we have seen the spontaneous incineration of the planet's surface. Civilization: buildings and settlements crumbled, and life turned to dust. Earth became a star of death where the future cannot be measured.

The organization [Chaldea] is the only human structure left behind, persisting in the year 2018. But even temporal isolation will not last long. Something must be done if humanity is to survive and thrive once more.

A string of [Singularities] have been observed arising from the incinerated Earth, and are assumed to be the cause of the annihilation. When multiple Singularities occur consecutively, this can lead to a world divergence phenomenon.

Thus, the Chaldea Human Order Security Organization has employed the use of temporal-spatial jumps into those observable abnormal zones- the Rayshift.

These seven unusual eras threaten humanity. Thus, a suitable unit is sent to rectify these abnormal zones: a Magus, known as the Master. And as a partner, a weapon to enact the Master's will, the strongest of all familiars: a Servant.

Created from previous data of the Old Order KR-S08-B1, Chaldea has modeled the new Master after her predecessor, hoping to learn from the mistakes of the previous incident. To avoid information overload and preemptive trauma, personal memories of the past Order have been omitted.

As for the Servant, the imperfect summoning ritual from the vestiges of the damaged summoning room resulted in an inexperienced version of King Arthur. However, as she is a Saber, the premium class Servant is still suitable for advanced combat.

Their mission has not changed: acquire the Holy Grails residing in these Singularities and rectify the distorted eras. The Grand Order resumes once more.

Memo: Rikka Fujiwara

I have to stop reminding myself that this girl isn't Senpai. I don't use that term anymore. She shares Senpai's blue eyes, but her hair is orange. She acts like Senpai, but at the same time she does not think in the same manner as Senpai used to. They wear the same uniform, if different models. They share the same inflections of voice. Even their personalities are identical despite the fact that the new Master has none of Senpai's memories. Biologically speaking they should share the same genetic code, even if some expressed phenotypes have been switched. It is not fair to think so much of my previous partner when the mission is of utmost importance and total concentration is absolutely necessary. But I cannot stop myself.

The real one died in Singularity F, when the Lev Lainur Flauros doppelganger threw the previous Director into Chaldeas and the Rayshift procedure failed to rescue us both in time-

I won't write anymore about that incident.

This is just a personal addendum, but she disturbs me. A clone, a replica of Senpai, sliding and taking Senpai's place in this mission. In the field with another Servant, another partner that isn't me.

Da Vinci called it a success, but what good is there in a being who was cobbled together from the corpse of the predecessor and the data from another Chaldea?

But I have been tasked with watching from the sidelines. For the sake of the Grand Order, I will keep this to myself and try to learn how to see Senpai's successor for who she is.
