Sorry this came late, I went through writer's block and then I got work on an old project, but I will do as much writing to finish this story. So, once again, sorry and I hope you enjoy it.
October 4, 1980 - R-8, Markovia
A car drove by the few JL members walked on the side of the highway. Terry has been keeping an eye on the Wayne Systems hoping that the original Batman would send a past JL member. But so far no one has arrived.
"Can you figure out when the JL will arrive?" Maya asked.
"So far nothing, but I'm searching the archives for answers." Terry answered.
"I sense someone coming." Faith remarked as Terry's suit radar alerted him of an incoming aircraft.
"Maybe it's the Justice League?" Maya added as a small group of helicopters sped towards them.
"Sorry, but according to the computer, it's a Soviet made copter." Terry remarked as five helicopters landed on the nearby field. Moments later armed soldiers rushed out of the crops. They barked orders in a language that went extinct in 2000. Markovian. The computer started to translate.
"Freeze! Hands in the air!" another soldier yelled in English this time.
"I am Batman from the future!" Terry yelled and the men looked at each other as a man in padded armor walked out of the field. The Batsuit scanned the man revealing a mechanical left arm.
"I am Sarge Steel of the Royal Markovian Meta Guard! Surrender or be killed!" Sarge Steel ordered.
"Now look, we're here to stop a threat that'll bring the end of the world." Terry added and Stell nodded at his men. They opened fire and Maya created a wall of inferno melting the bullets.
"You think that they would help out with defending the world!" Faith yelled over the gunfire.
"Any ideas?" Maya yelled as she continued to feed the wall of fire.
"How about Beetle Fire Manuever?" Terry remarked.
"We need Blue Beetle!" Maya yelled and Terry looked down knowing his friend was killed to send them here.
"We're going have to improvise his role!" Faith added and Terry boosted into the air. He fired Batarangs several meters away from the Markovians. They exploded sending them down while Maya fired blasts at the field behind them. Faith flew into the air and sent psychic blasts into the ground forcing them to retreat. The two heroes landed on the ground. Then the suit sent Terry a small history report of Markovia.
"Great timing." Terry remarked reading the report.
"What is it?" Faith asked.
"Markovia hasn't been a signature for the Justice League UN Charter since 1976." Terry answered.
"Are you shitting me?" Maya remarked.
"No and they have a Justice Society of Markovia as well." Terry answered as the Batsuit's radar picked up another aircraft moving in fast. "We got company."
"Shit." Maya whispered as a jet dove down to the road. It landed roughly almost sixty yards away. A ramp was lowed and four figures walked off.
"Surrender or be destroyed." a young man in a gree suit ordered.
"We're from the future. We're here to stop the end of the world." Terry remarked and the young man stomped on the ground. Molten rock sped towards them and the three heroes jumped out of the way. A masked archer fired an explosive arrow hit Terry and he went flying to the other side of the road. Faith sent a psychic blast sending the JSM down. Before any more fighting occurred a Boom Tube opened in the middle of the road. In mere moments the future Justice League members were speed into the Boom Tube.
October 4, 1980 - Watchtower, New York City, New York, United States
"Who are you?" Batman asked the three costumed figures from Markovia. When an unknown computer connected with the Wayne Satellite System, Batman tracked it down to Markovia where Brothereye picked up a large scale energy surge. So he opened a Boom Tube in Markovia and had Flash sped them into the Watchtower. Now he saw a man in a high tech Batsuit, a woman in tribal clothes, and another woman in Kevelar suit.
"Terry McGinnis. I'm the Batman from the future." the man in the Batsuit answered as he stood up. "We're here to stop the end of the world."
"How?" Batman asked.
"We need to stop Vandal Savage from activating the Fatherbox he has in Russia. If we stop that we'll have more time until Darkseid invades the Earth and burns us alive." the woman in Kevlar replied and Batman looked at Flash. They both knew that timeline was possible thanks to the Flashpoint.
"Why should we believe you?" Flash asked.
"Look into my suit files. It'll give you the answers you need." Terry remarked and Batman begin to hack into the future Batsuit. A video was pulled up. It showed the final moments before their time travel trip. Both present Heroes were stunned at the bloody battle between the future heroes and Darkseid's forces.
"When will it happen?" Batman asked.
"Savage didn't tell us when it was going to happen. Just that he sent us before his past self activated it and we need to hurry before he does activate it." Terry replied as he stood up.
"Flash get in contact with the UN. I'll get the Justice League Council together." Batman ordered knowing that politics was going to be a problem.
October 4, 1980 - Watchtower, New York City, New York, United States
"This is crazy. Even for us." Hal Jordan, Green Lantern remarked as the JL watched footage of the future Justice League battles. Batman watched as McGinnis's fighting style outmatched his opponents. As if they were trained by Bruce.
"Yet we can clearly see the coming disaster." Elizabeth Trevor, Wonder Woman remarked seeing her half sister fighting beside the future heroes. Bad blood was between Aresia and the Amazons.
"Either way, we're getting some flak from the UN for stepping in Markovia to get them and Russia has denied having a Fatherbox like this." Barry Allen, Flash reported.
"Either way, we know Darkseid is coming and with our skirmishes against his Empire on foreign worlds, we are gaining greater attention." J'ohn J'onzz, Martian Manhunter added.
"And because of this me, John, and Kyle have been spotting scout ships from different alien empires taking a look at Earth and Mars." Hal noted.
"So what is this future Batman's idea for stopping Savage from activating this Box?" Victor Stone, Cyborg asked.
"If the politics fail, we attack Moscow." Batman answered and the gathered heroes were stunned.
"Are you crazy?" Oliver Queen, Green Arrow asked.
"We're heroes. We don't go attacking superpower nations." Jane Kent, Superwoman remarked.
"If we don't billions will die on the Earth alone. Trillions in this system. Is that the price you want to pay for not attacking Russia?" Batman asked and the League was silent.
"Let's vote then." Kori Grayson, Starfire remarked. 12 to 11 in favor of attacking Moscow.
October 4, 1980 - Bunker, Moscow, Russia
Vandal Savage walked around the large Fatherbox wondering how the Justice League knew of the mysterious weapon. Savage touched the Fatherboxmtrying to understand what was going on. Something was going on. With the incident in Markovia and an Emergency JL Council Meeting, Savage knew that he need to activate the Box. But how he doesn't know. He has tried everything. His only option left is for Klarion to use his magic on the Box.
October 4, 1980 - Watchtower, New York City, New York, United States
"Once we hit Moscow the JSR is going to react quickly. So when we reach Russia, the first thing we need to do is locate the Box." Terry said to the Justice League assault team leaders, Batman, Wonder Woman, Starfire, Cyborg. "The Soviets will probably have it protect with Lead to avoid X-Ray Vision. This is why when the Kryptonians will use their X-Ray vision, they'll need to keep an eye out for any discrepancies. That will be where we find the Box."
"So what's the plan once we find this Box?" Cyborg asked.
"Team Alpha, Beta, and Delta will lead a distraction force to keep the Red Army and the JSR away from Gamma who will be taking down Savage and secure the Fatherbox." Terry answered. "Alpha will be in the sky, Beta will be of the Justice Hall, and Delta will be at the Kremlin."
"If we go through with this, we'll be causing a major international incident." Wonder Woman remarked.
"If we don't then there won't be an Earth to care." Batman replied.
"And if we fail?" Starfire asked.
"Then we'll have to prepare for a bigger battle." Terry answered knowing of the coming bloodshed.
October 5, 1980 - Justice Hall, Moscow, Russia
Red Star watched as the Soviet soldiers patrolled the Hall. Red Star hated what Savage has turned Russia. The Union was turning into an Empire once more. Proletariat was plotting a revolt against Savage's regime and Red Star was considering joining. He wanted a government built for the people. Not the gears of Imperialism. As Red Star walked outside he saw a Boom Tube open in front of the building. The Russian prepared for a fight against Apokolips forces, but what he saw was Cyborg, Green Arrow, Flash, Steel, Aquaman, Miss Martian, Atom, Red Arrow, and Black Lighting walk out of the tube. The two archers fire explosive arrows at the columns holding the ceiling above Red Star. It collapsed on top of the man and he pushed the rubble off of him. Before the Soviet could do anything, the Flash punched him through a building. Then Steel slammed his hammer onto Red Star.
October 5, 1980 - Russian Airspace
Red Son fired his laser vision at the second Superman only for Superwoman to slam the clone down. The battle was gaining in intensity as the Rocket Red Brigade was sent down with force. Nuclear Man was losing his battle against Shazam. The clone fired his laser vision into the back of John Stewart killing the Green Lantern. Before the ring even left his dead fingers, Superman punched Red Son in the face seeing him crashing down into Red Square. The clone flew back into the fight and Superman fired laser vision slowing down the Soviet. Before Red Son could strike back, Superwoman grabbed him by the back and dove down.
October 5, 1980 - Kremlin, Moscow, Russia
Savage watched as the Soviet armor and defensive positions were crushed by Starfire, Wonder Girl, Impulse, Batwing, Hawkwoman, Raven, Vixen, Zatanna, and STRIPE. The immortal knew that his mission was in jeopardy. He turned and walked to a bookcase. He turned a book and an elevator revealed itself. Savage walk in and the elevator went down to the Bunker where Klarion should be experimenting with Fatherbox. If Savage was to win the battle, he will need the power of the Box at his will.
October 5, 1980 - Bunker, Moscow, Russia
Terry snuck in the catacombs with Faith, Maya, Batman, Batwoman, Robin, Nightwing, Tigress, Black Bat, Secret, Batgirl, Black Canary, Vanguard, Doctor Fate, Sureshot, and Guardian. Their mission was to stop Savage from beginning the end of the world. Terry has seen the future and he wasn't going to accept it. As they marched through the halls, the team knocked out Soviet guards. As they reached the main chamber where the Fatherbox rest, the team examined the situation. Tanks, machine guns, and Rocket Reds. Should be easy enough.
"Move!" Terry yelled and the JL attacked the Soviets. The fight was quick with minimal destruction.
"So how do we destroy this thing again?" Batwoman remarked as she tapped it. As she did the box turned into red dust with Klarion in the middle of it.
"So it's time to play." the Witch Boy said with a smile. As he laughed Doctor Fate blocked the kid's attacks.
"Go. Find Savage." Fate ordered and Terry scanned the area, to no success. Then the wall shook. A wall tumbled revealing Savage standing in the activated Fatherbox.
"We're too late." Terry whispered knowing Darkseid was coming.
