A few days had gone by since making it back to the tower. The terrorist that had struck had been taken out by the Jump City National Guard and Beast Boy was surprised to see a drenched Cyborg and Jinx when he pulled Starfire through the door.

All four of them had been made to stay in recovery for a day or two, they had been released. Robin had quizzed Beast Boy about what had happened, and Starfire provided a simple and heavily edited explanation.

The days afterwards were rough. He felt tired and his body was barely keeping him awake. It seemed everyone was worn out. Robin had let them go on training so everyone had a chance to recover.

It was late evening when Beast Boy drug himself into his room that he had spent most of the day cleaning up. Starfire had stopped by a few times to talk (which was a surprise) and for the first time he was embarrassed about its condition. Robin thought he was nuts and Raven suggested he get checked for a fever but he just played it off that he was looking for a game he lost.

Looking up at the clock and seeing it was half past 7pm, he knew Korand'r would be stopping by to wish him good night and chat a bit about the day's activities. He had begun to look forward to it. Pulling out a strawberry scented candle that he kept hidden from everyone else, he lit it to get the room nice before she arrived.

Changing into his Pajamas, he rolled out the footon he liked to use instead of a couch in case he wanted to transform into something else while watching TV. It was the epitome of comfort.

The door chime went off and Beast Boy tried not to sound excited.

"Come in!"

The door opened and Starfire walked in already wearing her pink bathrobe and her hair in a braid for the night.

"Oh! Friend. I am glad you are still awake. I have come to enjoy our little conversations before we hunt the sheep."

"Count the sheep, Star."

"Oh, yes! Count the sheep."

"Whatcha want to talk about? Did you see Robin fail that dodge from Cyborg and pile right into Raven. If looks could kill, she would have fried both of them." He laughed.

"Oh, yes! That was quite the hilarious. Oooo! You have a candle. It is my favorite scent!" she said. She tapped on his door and it closed and floated over to it. She peered down at the flame, her figure outlined in the low light.

"Fire comforts me," she said with a smile. "and to discover you make flavored fire was a shock to me. I like this one."

"Well, next time I'm at the store, I could…uh…buy you a few."

"Ohhh! You are soo sweet!" she said grabbing him and giving him a bone crushing hug. He tried not to gag at the affection. He had grown to really like her.

"Are you ready to sleep then?" she asked with a question in her eyes.

"Ummm…I was thinking of putting on Warp Trek: The Next Generation for a few episodes."

"Oh! May I join you?" she asked eyes wide. "Ever since you explained to me the plot of Clash of Planets over lunch, I have been wanting to watch more of the scifi."

"Sure!"

That was a shock. I mean, could it be? She was technically an alien from another world.

"that is exciting!" she said producing from her pockets some gummy snacks. "I was hoping you'd be interested. I do not get to spend a lot of time with you. Do you mind if I get comfortable for the show?"

"Oh, not at all," he said flattening the futon space for her and shoving pillows aside.

She floated over to the door and tapped the locking which activated.

"Umm?"

She turned to him confused. "I did not wish risk embarrassment. I remember your concern."

"Embarrassed about what?"

The answer came as the bathrobe hit the floor along with his jaw. Starfire was not wearing anything under it. His eyes grew wide as he took in every single curve presented included the smile on her face.

"I hate the wearing of clothes at evening time. On Tamaran, among our friends we remove the clothes we do not wish so we can enjoy the cool weather of the night. I hope you don't mind my planet's tradition."

"Ummm….no. I…uh….was just surprised."

He could not pull his eyes off of her as she floated over, laid down on her stomach only inches away and giving him a perfect view of the other side of her, she kicked her feet up, ripped open the snacks and turned to him.

"Do you watch them on the streaming TV or do you have the Dee Vee and Dees."

"Oh…I have them on DVD," Beast Boy said trying to take his eyes off her derriere. He was such a pervert.

His eyes wandered up to hers and he saw the mirth in them. His face exploded in red.

"Oh, my god. I'm so sorry, star! I didn't mean to ogle you! I just-"

"Relax, friend Garfield. It is a compliment you find me so pleasing you cannot look away. I do not mind. We are friends."

Wow. No friend ever was like this with him.

"And maybe….after Warp Trek….you'd be interested in doing some other activities friends do?"

Beast Boy looked long at those eyes as he tried to think about what the hell Warp Trek was. Was Starfire making a pass at him?

As she asked where they were, he pointed to the TV cabinet, and she bent over to fish around at the bottom, there was one thing Beast Boy was sure of. He really was hoping she was because before the show, he realized he had fallen in love with her.

This. Was going to be interesting.
