Chapter 2 has arrived. I am trying to do a chapter a day. We will see how that goes. On with the story!
Chapter 2
Gibbs and Tony both walked up to front door of Tony's apartment. The door was ajar. Tony quickly moved to the left side of the door and Gibbs on the right. He quietly pushed the door open and searched inside. Tony searched his bedroom and bathroom while Gibbs searched the rest of the apartment. "Clear!" Tony shouted. Gibbs slid his gun into his holster.
"Clear." Tony came into the kitchen. "Anything broken or stolen?" Tony shook his head no. "Same with out here. This is proof this guy is coming after you. Let's look for evidence. Prints," Gibbs said with a sigh. Tony grabbed his kit from his bag and started with his bedroom door for prints. Gibbs looked around carefully for any evidence of the perpetraitor being there. He found nothing. "Anything useful, Tony?"
"There were fingerprints on the door handles to my bathroom and bedroom. I took those. Hopefully one of the prints isn't mine and we have his finger print. We could match it to the one Abby is running," Tony said. Gibbs nodded in agreement.
"Get your things packed for my place. You can stay in the guest bedroom," Gibbs replied. Tony nodded and went to his bedroom to collect his clothes and toiletries for Gibbs' house. Gibbs watched as Tony walked away. His hips swayed side to side. God those hips... Gibbs shook his head and rubbed his face.
"You care if I change before we leave?"
"Might as well, Dinozzo," Gibbs said. "Wish I could watch..." Gibbs mumbled quietly. Tony walked out of his bedroom in a pair of gray sweat pants and a black sweatshirt with white lettering. It said 'NCIS." Gibbs stared at Tony a few seconds too long and Tony cleared his throat.
"Aw, boss. See something you like?" Tony teased. Gibbs rolled his eyes with a smile.
"Yeah, Dinozzo," Gibbs said without thinking. He bit his lip and turned around quickly towards the front door. He left the apartment and left Tony behind. Tony smirked and grabbed his kit and overnight bag with clothes for work for a few days.
"I knew it," Tony said before shutting his front door. He jogged down the stairs and hopped into Gibbs' truck. Gibbs' face was tinged red and his hands on the wheel ready to leave. Tony threw his bags in the back and closed his door. Gibbs began to drive back to his house. Tony watched Gibbs. "Boss?" Gibbs grunted in response. Tony sighed. "Tell me," he pleaded. Gibbs snuck a quick glance at Tony.
"Tell you what?" Gibbs' grip on the steering wheel got tighter. His knuckles turned whiter in color.
"What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing."
"Gibbs... I heard what you said." Gibbs turned the radio on. Tony turned it back off. "Gibbs." No sound. Tony sighed. "Okay, fine. Don't say anything. Just know, that if you have feelings for me, I'm shocked. I never thought you would like me more than a friend. Mainly because I'm annoying and it seems like I am always in need of saving. Not to mention, I never knew you were int-" Gibbs slammed the breaks before turning into his driveway. Tony coughed from the sudden impact on his chest. "Jesus, Gibbs. Give a little warning next time."
"Tony, do you have feelings for me?" Gibbs asked. He pulled into his driveway and turned the truck off. Tony looked down into his lap. "Tone." Tony turned to look at Gibbs. Tony unbuckled his belt and turned towards Gibbs.
"Tone, huh?" Tony mumbled softly. He twirled his thumbs and smiled softly. "I uh..." He closed his eyes. Gibbs unbuckled and got out of the truck. Tony sighed and turned to get out of the truck. As he got out of the truck, Gibbs stood directly in front of him. Toe to toe, faces mere inches away from each other. Tony licked his lips and looked at Gibbs' lips. Soft lips and steely blue eyes stared at him. Gibbs gently backed Tony into the side of the truck. "Jethro," Tony whispered with his eyes closed. Gibbs leaned in closer and closed his eyes. A soft kiss placed on Tony's lips and Gibbs' hands on his hips. Tony moaned softly into the kiss, pulling Gibbs in closer. The older man pulled away slowly with a smile.
"Tony," he mumbled. Tony smiled.
"Let's get inside to talk, Jethro," Tony teased. He grabbed his overnight bag and followed Gibbs into the house. He set his bag on the floor and toed his shoes off. "Want pizza? I'm buying."
"Sure, order whatever." Gibbs grabbed two beers from the fridge as Tony called the pizza place. He smiled as he watched Tony talk animatedly to the pizza guy about not having sausage. Gibbs chuckled and set Tony's beer down on the coffee table in front of the couch. He sat down and sipped slowly on his beer. Tony hung up with the pizza place and sat down beside Gibbs. He turned and sat with his legs folded underneath him.
"They were out of sausage so I order pepperoni and meatball. Sounds good." Tony took a sip of his beer. "So, we need to talk."
"Sure do," Gibbs said. He turned to face Tony on the couch.
"How long?" Tony asked. Gibbs picked at the label on his beer.
"Since you tackled me in Baltimore. Remember you asked if it was my gun or if I was happy to see you?" Tony laughed.
"I remember that! You lied to me, didn't you?" Gibbs chuckled and nodded. "I knew it! I knew it wasn't your gun!" Tony sipped his beer.
"What about you?"
"Ah. Well, I'd have to say within the last year. I started to notice more things I liked about you and it just hit me."
"Noticed what?" Gibbs finished his beer off and set it on the table. Tony set his down too.
"I started to notice you. Your body, your emotions, your work ethic. I've noticed it's slowed down some. I've seen you looking at me when you think I can't see it."
"Now wait just a minute, don't think I haven't noticed that you do it too."
"Oh I do it. I'm just better at hiding it." Tony smirked. Gibbs laughed lightly and smiled. "So.." Long pause. "What do we do?"
"What do you mean?" Gibbs moved closer to Tony. Tony swallowed the lump in his throat.
"Where do we go from here? Do we start a relationship? Do we not? What about work?" Gibbs thought about the questions carefully. What do we do? Gibbs thought.
"Well, I don't think work should know. Not yet anyways. As for a relationship..." Gibbs paused. "What do you want?"
"Well, I'd like one. Believe or not I want to settle down. I don't want to keep chasing tail." Tony smirked when Gibbs head slapped him softly. "I'm just saying."
"I don't play games, Dinozzo."
"I know. I don't want to with you. I want to have an actual relationship. Take things slow, ya know?" Tony grabbed his beer and took a sip. Gibbs nodded.
"Alright then."
"Okay." Both men sat in silence for a moment. The doorbell rang and there was a knock on the door. Tony got up and looked out the window to see who it was. "Ooo! Pizza's here." He hopped off the couch and almost fell as he tripped over his own feet in excitement. Gibbs laughed and grabbed the empty beers. He put the bottles in the sink as Tony paid the delivery guy for the pizza. Gibbs grabbed two more beers and Tony came into the kitchen. "Plates?"
"Yep, one second." Gibbs looked in the cupboards above him and grabbed two plates for them. Tony took them and walked back out to the living room. Gibbs followed close behind with the beer. Both men sat down and began to eat their dinner.
"So what do you think of our new case?"
"Well, I know we need to keep you safe. Tonight was proof of that. This guy clearly knows where you live," Gibbs said with a mouth full of pizza. He swallowed his bite and spoke up again. "Earlier you said you felt someone watching you all weekend?"
"Yeah I did. The guy from Club X was creepy and I think it was him. I don't know who he is though."
"Could you do a sketch with Abby?"
"Yeah I think so. We'll do that first thing in the morning." Tony took another slice of pizza. He groaned softly. "This pizza is so good. It's my favorite pizza place," Tony said. Gibbs smiled.
"Yeah it's pretty good." Gibbs took a sip of beer to wash down the pizza. He sighed contently. "I'm full already. Want me to put the pizza in the fridge?"
"Yeah I'm good with it." Gibbs stood up with the pizza and put it in the fridge. Tony followed him with the plates in hand. He started the water to wash the plates.
"You don't have to wash them I can do it," he said. Gibbs bumped him out of the way and Tony crossed his arms.
"Let me. Please?" Tony pleaded. Gibbs shook his head.
"You can dry them."
"Fine," Tony said as he grabbed the towel. They washed the dishes in silence. Once they finished the dishes, they went back into the living room to continue their talk. "So, what do you think we should look into for the case?"
"I think we need to look into the police arrests of anyone with a hate crime against them. This is someone who obviously doesn't like men who are gay."
"What about cameras. I know Club X has them. We could get a search warrant. I can see if I can find the guy that kept following us." Gibbs nodded.
"Let's get some sleep tonight and we will talk more tomorrow," Gibbs said. Tony nodded and both men went upstairs. "Do you want to sleep in the guest room or..." he trailed off.
"Jethro Gibbs. Are you being shy?" Tony laughed. Gibbs' cheeks reddened slightly. "May I sleep in your bed with you?" Tony asked quietly. Gibbs nodded and gently grabbed Tony's hand. He pulled him into his bedroom and onto the bed. Tony laid down next to Gibbs and snuggled onto his chest. Gibbs wrapped an arm around his shoulders and sighed softly.
"Good night, Tony. Talk again tomorrow."
"Good night, Jethro." Gibbs smiled. He loved to hear his name out of Tony's mouth. It was sweet. Gibbs kissed Tony's forehead softly and closed his eyes. Both men drifted off to sleep quietly into the night.
Well there is chapter 2. Taking the story slow for now. Until Chapter 3 my dears.
