Beiyue looked excited while Ye Lian is pleased.
Yan looked on in disbelief.
The 49 Cooper Pillars around simultaneously shattered, broke to pieces. The minds ape churned and the water rapidly rose up and engulf the four of them before eit resided rapidly, revealing a barren land.
".. I'm… I'm free…" Yan murmured, in disbelief and shock, "I'm actually free and…. And I'm not going insane!"
Akane nodded, "Yeah, it's a Seal that took me a year to actually crack and two months to make a counterseal." Chin raised to the sky, proud.
"Yan, you're free now" Beiyue beamed, genuinely happy
"…. So, what will you do now, Yan Darren?"
Yan looked up and spoke, "Make a contract with me."
Of course, that was 3 years ago.
Beiyue skid back with her arms in a 'X' shape.
"Again." Yan spoke.
"You punched be harder this time." Beiyue spoke and charged.
"You're dissatisfied? You should at least know the feelings of others when they encountered you." Yan swiftly avoided the onslaught of attacks from the Princess, "Don't get me wrong, I am imprisoned for a decade and dragged down with you because of Bitch with the Surname Xue, but at the end of the day, I am still a Divine turned Demon Beast." Yan smacked the paper fan on Beiyue's back causing the girl to fall over but she rolled down before getting back to her feet.
"Which is why you're the best training partner" Akane spoke from the side, crossing her arms as she watched the scene, "In terms of combat, we're dust compared to Yan who has thousands of years of experience under his belt. There is a turn around when it comes to arrays and seals, but that is not the main objective today."
Beiyue grunted, "I know that!"
Yan scoffed, to add salt to injury and infuriate Beiyue further, he flipped his burnt orange hair, "Quit your complaining, little girl, and fight!"
Beiyue charged with a battle cry.
Dongling and Zhonglei arrived later at the day, their arms had the shrunken version of their summon.
Dongling is with her Earth Natured pink Hedgehog, Xian'er. And Zhonglei's summon, Blue Scaled Water Serpent, is almost strangling him in wrapping around his neck, Lan Xi.
"Xiao Yin, Xiao Yang, you're back." Ye Lian greets, "How is it?"
"Everything is fine, Lian Dajie" They spoke together
"We did, however, got a rather interesting Intel" Zhonglei spoke and glanced at Beiyue, "There was a Wuling spotted in the Fog Forest. A Bingluan, I suppose San Jie would want it, everyone has their own spirit beast now."
"What am I then? Chopped Liver?" Yan disdained, "Is there a beast here stronger than I am?" Yan bragged narcissistically.
They didn't refute that because it's true.
However, Akane doesn't want him to be too prideful, "You can start talking about it when you at least get us some Punitive Fire from Seven Pagodas." The red head sneered.
"Heh. Have you lost your mind, Red? You want a Demon Beast to retrieve Punitive Fire? I'm disappointed in your IQ." Yan sneered
"Okay!" Beiyue clapped her hands, trying to get the attention on her and diffuse the heated argument, "So it's a Bingluan, to be honest, I have my eye on it, given the Phoenix Egg I retrieved 2 days ago still hasn't hatched."
All eyes landed on the big egg in a fancy nest.
"Yeah, I guess. But all said and done, I thought you would go after a spirit beast that, you know, destroy things like you do?" Yan raised a brow
"Yan xiong, if you don't shut up, I'll spit fireball to your face!"
"Oh please, don't you have any manners? Spiting to other people's faces?"
"It's a fireball!" Akane argued
"It still came out form your mouth, it's still spit to me." Yan reasoned.
Akane scowled in disgust, "You need serious help,"
Yan shot her a contemptuous glance, "Oh please, if the rest of us are starting to talk about our problems, then all of us including the Emperor will be squaring in jail!"
Beiyue palmed her face and sighed.
Ye Lian looked up from reading the account book, "Why are you guys always so noisy?!" he golden eyed girl frowned, "One more argument and you can say goodbye for a week's worth of meal!"
"Whatever, let's go, youngest, I'll go with you to take a look." Akane stood up, whistling, a 8 Tailed Fox, a 7 rank Divine Beast, appeared.
"Put Hong Chi away!" Beiyue scowled, "Her aura would scare everyone! How am I suppose to subdue my first spirit beast if it flies away?!"
In the end, the one that accompany her is Dongling and Akane.
They travel by foot.
Yan's earlier words, 'Run if you won't use your spirit beast. What do you Mena by riding horses? You have legs, use it!'
Well, aside from Hiraishin, which Dongling and Zhonglei can't use, running, it has became a normal mode of transportation. Have to give it to Akane who insisted they would do it.
The trio, with Beiyue on the lead, began running, their Grey cloaks bellowing in the wind, "Look, mercenaries, up ahead."
"Way to state the obvious, youngest. But yes, I see them. The Crown Prince is amongst them as his Purple Fire Qilin is like a crane amidst that flock, from the size of their group, it's two groups." Akane said
"Should we stop?" Dongling asked
"No." Beiyue who did not even greet or say a word to Feng Lianyi two days ago when she shamelessly stole the Roc Grass he rightfully owns, "Full speed ahead. What do you Mena by stopping? Reveal identity prematurely? If we do, who will take the burnt of Dajie's irritation?"
The trio continue and passed by the others who had their eyes on them since they appeared in sight.
Travel by running? Madness!
However, they had passed by the group, their speed is no joke. Judging from their direction, they came from Linhuai City!
Their purpose, is the in Fog Forest.
"Chase after them!" Huang Zhanye ordered
"Yes!"
Akane snickered, "We got five dozens or so ducklings right in our trail, guys."
"I know" Beiyue said, "Yin'er, get them off our trail!"
"Yes" Dongling pulled back and immediately skid to stop, "Xian'er, time for exercise."
The small hedgehog rolled out from Dongling's sleeve before it rapidly expanded a gigantic hedgehog. Looming above them as it rapidly rolled over with intent that if they don't scatter and get lost, be crushed to death.
The mercenaries, "….." fuck.
Akane glanced back, both Beiyue and her could hear the screaming behind and the mushroom shaped dust cloud, she could also vaguely see black stick like figures in the air. Continuous explosion and ground shaking, it didn't bother them.
"Dongling is in a bind, the Crown Prince is there" Beiyue said, "Er Jie…"
"Yeah I know, no letting Hong Chi out, boo" Akane snickered and secured her mask before jumped off, using Hiraishin to when Dongling is, pulling the girl behind and flung her arm forward.
Bright blue white fire clashed with purple fire.
The temperature drastically shot to the roof.
Huang Zhanye's eyes widen in surprise. This person suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
'Be careful, Zhanye, that person is stronger than you.' Flames caution his Summoner
'Yes. I feel the pressure, but I doubt they are here to maim us.' Huang Zhanye spoke as he observed, the two are playing around but they didn't attack unless someone aimed for the Fog Forest.
There are three of them, one aimed to the Fog Forest, two stalled for time.
What are their purpose?
Huang Beiyue leap from tree branches to tree branches.
Surging forth, the temperature dropped as she continue.
Soon, she reached her destination, climb the snowy mountain, Beiyue speed up and jumped 15 feet in the air and stuck her foot on the side of the mountain and began to scale it up, Chakra sure is handy. What Chakra can't do, spiritual energy can, what spiritual energy can't do, Chakra can.
Beiyue soon got to the top, landing softly on the snowy ground, looking around.
"Wuling, Bingluan, are you here? I, Huang Beiyue, am here to challenge you for the right to be your Summoner!" Huang Beiyue spoke.
The temperature dropped as the said Bingluan appeared, "Girl, you are daring! Let's see if you have what it takes!"
Ice shards rained down like there is no tomorrow.
Beiyue grinned, five Chakra chains sprang out from behind her and surged forward to destroy the ice Lance Beiyue began to leap up and jumped from ice shards to ice shards, using them as platforms to get closer to the Ice Spirit Bird.
Bingluan let out a sonorous bird cry.
"Come on!" Beiyue grinned and reared her fist back.
Akane chuckled as she looked at the people across them.
Dongling grimace, "I have been sparing with monstrous level entities, now sparing with normal people…. It feels like bullying."
"That's right, you belong in a Family of Bullies. Anyways, we are just bullying them enough to not disturb the Youngest." Akane shrugged.
Akane blinked and turned to the certain direction, "It has began." Akane smirked
They can hear the howls explosion from afar.
"It must be intense and not" Dongling spoke, "Hopefully they won't reshape the whole Ice Mountain."
The howls continue on until they ceased.
On their own side, Huang Zhanye had called for a cease fire.
The two stood between them and the Fog Forest.
They waited and strong pressure could be felt rapidly approaching.
"Look!" a mercenary pointed at the obvious spirit beast, bird type, approaching as if no one is already looking at it.
Upon closer proximity. They began were able to recognize it.
"A Wuling!"
"The Ice Spirit Bird!"
"It's the Ice Spirit Bird!"
"Look, someone is on its back!"
"Hey, isn't that the third member of these people?"
On the back, hidden by Grey cloak, scarlet red hair similar to the person I front of them, only Akane had her hood down but her mask is on, she confident like that.
"Master Shen, you're more experienced than I am, these people, what are their levels?"
"…. You Highness" Shen Yi spoke and looked at the person on the back of the Wuling.
The Bingluan swept down, as the spirit beast other than Dongling's and the Purple Fire Qilin, hurriedly retreat in their owner's pet space in fear.
Bingluan swept down.
"Let's go, free ride is here" Akane spoke.
"Xian'er." Dongling whispered, the Hedgehog curled up and shot forward, shrinking rapidly and squirm inside her sleeve
The two jumped high in the air and landed behind Beiyue as they flew up, heading to Linhuai City. Practically giving away their general location and where they resided.
The fact that anyone would immediately knew their general direction and where they resided, perhaps, not the full address but if everyone's looking around for ay clues, it is only a matter of time.
But they are solely mistaken, after all, they haven't dealt with people who can rapidly teleport without assistance of mediums or arrays.
Elder Shen Yi breathed out shakily, "One Summoner was able to push back despite the collective efforts in our side… And one was able to match your flames, Your Highness. Another subdue a Wuling in such a short span of time…. I'm afraid they are Nine Star Summoner or dare I say, above…."
Shen Yi looked at the faint Bingluan from afar that grew smaller as it flew away carrying three terrors that caught them off guard," And there are three of them, Nine Stars, inside Linhuai Walls without us knowing who there are until now. Hiding under our noses."
"Royal Father must be informed. Immediately." Huang Zhanye spoke
