This story is in correlation with my other two Teen Wolf stories, Awake and Alive and No One Else! The three intertwine with each other quite often but in different points of view, so I would recommend reading those as well so everything makes sense. I hope you enjoy!

Police and paramedics arrived not too long afterwards. One of the neighbors probably heard the gunshots and called for help. Isaac and Delilah stood in front of the house that was now surrounded by yellow caution tape. He held her in his arms as they let the authorities inspect the house and do their jobs.

A gurney was rolled out with an unconscious Lawrence lying on top. He had an oxygen mask over his mouth and Isaac wanted nothing more than to just rip it off. That man did not deserve to have his life saved. If only the cops knew what kind of monster Lawrence really was. Then they would have just left him for dead.

While Isaac continued to glare at her stepfather, Delilah watched her mother be escorted out of the house in handcuffs. Never would have the brunette thought that Gloria would be the one guardian that would be arrested. It shouldn't have been that much of a surprise due to her history of drug abuse. But the last thing Delilah expected was for Gloria to use a gun on anyone, let alone Lawrence. She didn't even know her mother had a gun!

Gloria locked eyes with her daughter, sorrow written on her face. Delilah was unsure how to feel about it all. Was she supposed to thank her for preventing her from getting shot? She technically did save the girl's life. But after all of the shit she had dealt with all her life- the beatings, the witnessing of all the drugs use, the lack of parental figure… shooting the man half responsible for it all was the least Gloria could do.

It still did not make up for her stealing her childhood. So Delilah buried her face in Isaac's chest as they pushed Gloria in the backseat of one of the police cars and drove off.

Deputy Henderson walked up to the young couple. "Miss Lambert, I apologize. I know it has been a long day for you, but I'm going to need you to come with us so we can ask you a few questions."

"I understand, officer," Delilah nodded. She looked up at her boyfriend. "Can Isaac please come with me?"

"Of course," the deputy answered, taking in the way the young couple held onto each other as if their lives depended on it, "He's also a witness and we'll need his testimony as well."

He opened the back door of his vehicle and the two teenagers slid in. Not once did they let go of each other during the entire drive to the police station. Deputy Henderson snuck glances of them through his rear view mirror, feeling sympathy for them.

Poor kids have been through so much these couple of weeks. All of this trauma had to have been taking a huge toll on them and if the rumors really were true about their home lives… it was just such a shame. If only everyone knew about them now being sucked into the impossible world of the supernatural. They just couldn't not catch a break.

And now they had no one. Well, except for each other. Judging by the way they seemed comfortable and safe in how they held each other, each other was all they really needed.

Once they arrived at the police station, Deputy Henderson had the teenagers sit on a bench and wait as he finished dealing with another case. Something involving Jackson being missing. Isaac made a phone call but Delilah wasn't paying attention to who it was to or what he was saying. Her mind was on a million different things, including how she was able to heal Isaac so fast. And what the hell did violet eyes mean? Was Lawrence going to make it out alive? What's going to happen to her mother?

Isaac slid his phone in his back pocket after he had hung up. "That was Erica. I just filled her in on what happened and she said she would let Derek know."

"Okay," Delilah said quietly, staring down at her hands.

"How are you doing?" Isaac asked.

"I don't know. Everything just happened so fast… I'm still not sure how to process it all." Delilah let out a humorless laugh. "It's crazy… both of them were horrible and that house was a nightmare. But to have all of it disappear in one night? It's a weird feeling."

"That's alright. I felt the same way when my dad died. It takes a while to get used to not being a punching bag for your parents every day. But you'll be able to make a new beginning for yourself."

"That's if Lawrence doesn't survive the gunshot."

Holding onto her hand, Isaac told Delilah, "You'll never go back there. Even if for some reason he lives, the police will see it was a bad environment for you to live in."

God, Delilah was so tired of crying. But yet the tears kept rolling. "What if they take me away?"

"I can't promise you they won't," Isaac sighed, wrapping his arms around her, "but if it means getting you somewhere safe… I would rather travel a hundred miles to see you than have you living in that hell hole." Suddenly the brunette laughed. "What's so funny?"

"I just thought about what you said about being a punching bag. If anything, now we became Derek's."

It was almost like Isaac could feel his bones break at just the thought of that. "Ugh, don't remind me."

An hour or so must have went by and they still have not talked to the police yet. The only time someone said anything to them was when Sheriff Stilinski apologized for taking so long but they had to deal with their 'idiot kids' and would get to them shortly. When they looked down the hallway one time, they saw Scott, Stiles and Natalie being yelled at for being the ones that held Jackson hostage. Now they had a restraining order against them. What a trio of losers.

Delilah almost fell sleep in Isaac's arms when Sheriff Stilinski came up to them one last time.

"We're ready for you now."

Isaac sat in the corner of the sheriff's office as he and Deputy Henderson interviewed his girlfriend. Although he wished he was sitting right next to her, holding her hand to get her to relax, Delilah needed to take the lead on this. She owed it to herself to get closure and justice. Even though he could smell and feel her anxiety, Isaac knew she was strong.

"Miss Lambert," Sheriff Stilinski said. He smiled gently. "Delilah. Would you mind telling us what happened leading up to your mother shooting your stepfather?"

Close your eyes. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. Open your eyes. Speak.

"After Lawrence and I came home from the school, he and I got into an argument about where I had been the past few days. Then things turned physical."

"Physical how?" Deputy Henderson asked.

"Well… he had pulled out his gun so I tried hitting it out of his hand. But he threw me on the dinner table and grabbed me by the neck. And then he started to unbuckle his pants so he could…"

Delilah had to stop and take a deep shaky breath as she felt the flashbacks coming on. She rubbed her palm as she sensed her boyfriend's claws digging into his own, knowing he was getting angry. But she did her best to compose herself so he could prevent from shifting. When she was sure Isaac was controlled, Delilah continued.

"He tried to assault me… sexually. But I was able to scratch his face to distract him. And when I heard my window break in my room it gave me an opportunity to run."

Sheriff Stilinski looked over at Isaac. "I'm guessing you were the one who broke into her room."

"Yes, sir," Isaac nodded.

"Why did you break in?"

"I knew she was going back home but I knew it wasn't safe. So I went to pack her clothes so she could leave with me."

The teenagers could tell the police officers were getting suspicious, but they just looked at each other knowingly and nodded. "I see," Deputy Henderson said, "Delilah, please continue."

"So when I went up to my room," Delilah continued, "I tried to block my door so Lawrence couldn't get in. But he ended up kicking it down anyway. He then shot at Isaac."

"Did you get hit?" Deputy Henderson asked the boy.

"No," he lied, "He just missed."

"Lawrence then pointed his gun at me," Delilah said, "but my mother shot him before he could shoot me." She sighed as she finished her statement. "That's all, officers."

The sheriff nodded, taking in every single word the girl had spoken. "Before today, was your home always… abusive?"

And here the truth comes out. "Yes, sir."

"For how long?"

"Ever since my mother and Lawrence first got together, so about eight years."

"Was it just your stepfather that abused you or your mother as well?"

"For the most part, it was always him. My mother never took part in it, but she never stopped it either. It wasn't until the day I left home that she had hit me for the first time."

"Why did she hit you?"

This was the part she was panicking about the most. Delilah looked back at Isaac. Her eyes were starting to get watery and her love knew her PTSD was acting up. But he nodded his head, reassuring her that she had this and was going to be okay.

She turned back to the officers. "The night before… Lawrence… he raped me…"

Pity was written on the mens' faces, which only made Delilah feel more ashamed and humiliated. She was trying to look anywhere else but them.

"I tried to tell my mom, but she didn't believe me. So I got mad and that's when she hit me."

Letting out a sigh, Deputy Henderson picked up a file and opened it. "Well, Delilah… we just want to start off by saying that you're not in trouble. Neither are you, Isaac." This made said boy let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding. "But we do have some news for you both. Lawrence was taken the hospital, but we was pronounced dead on arrival due to blood loss."

Both Delilah and Isaac's eyes grew wide at the news. They looked at each other, taking in the information together.

"He's gone?"

"He's gone," Deputy Henderson confirmed, "You'll never have to fear him ever again."

She couldn't believe it… she was finally free. Free from the hurtful words, free from the torture, free from the house and life that was comparable to hell. Delilah felt Isaac place his hands on her shoulders and she placed hers over them. It was all so overwhelming… but this time, it was in a good way.

But she couldn't celebrate just yet. "What about my mom?" she asked.

Both of the officers looked hesitant to tell her this part. "Unfortunately, Delilah," Sheriff Stilinski said, "your mother is looking at 40-50 years in prison. She had already plead guilty to not only killing your stepfather, but also methamphetamine possession. And with your statement, she'll most likely be sentenced for life. She also refused a court hearing."

So Delilah may never be able to see Gloria again… it was very conflicting. Of course the woman deserved to go to prison for everything she had put her daughter through all her life. There was no doubt that she was a horrible mother who did nothing to protect her daughter when she really needed her.

Horrible as she may be… she was still Delilah's mother. The girl remembered once upon a time where Gloria actually acted like she loved her. Like she was her pride and joy. Like she actually meant something to her.

No. Gloria didn't deserve to be mourned over. Delilah repeated this to herself as she held Isaac's hands tighter.

"Do you have any other relatives living in Beacon Hills?" Deputy Henderson asked.

"Not that I know of," Delilah answered, "The only person I knew from my mother's side was my grandmother but she had passed away years ago."

"Well, we'll have to come up with a way you can remain in Beacon Hills if that's what you wish," Sheriff Stilinksi told her, "However, since you don't have any relatives here, there's a good chance you'll end up in the foster system-"

"She can come stay with me."

Everyone in the room whipped their heads at the door. There stood the she-wolf, arms crossed in front of her chest and presence strong. She really was like Derek in that way.

Sheriff Stilinski raised an eyebrow. "And may I ask what your relationship is to Delilah, Miss…"

"Fierro. Anabelle Fierro."

"As in the Hale and Fierro house fire from about ten years ago?" Deputy Henderson asked.

Anabelle nodded. "That's the one. I'm also who Delilah had been staying with. Isaac, as well. I'm their… tutor."

"And do you live in a stable environment, Miss Fierro?" the sheriff asked.

"Stable enough. I live in an apartment downtown. It's a little small but I honestly don't think it's a great idea to separate these two kids."

The adults looked at the young couple, who were holding onto each other. Sheriff Stilinski pointed at Anabelle. "You got a good job?"

"That I'm still working on," Anabelle admitted, "But if you let them continue to stay with me my next goal would be to find a bigger and better home for them. Mark my words."

"Do you trust Miss Fierro, Delilah?" Deputy Henderson asked the brunette.

"Yes, sir," she answered honestly, "I do." He then looked at Isaac who was nodding his head as well.

"Very well, then," Sheriff Stilinski said, "They can continue staying with you. But I will check in on you in a couple weeks to see if you finally find a job. If you're not, then we'll have to come up with a different solution for Delilah and Isaac."

"I understand, Sheriff," Anabelle nodded.

"And we'll also be checking in on you two to see how you are doing as well," the sheriff addressed Delilah and Isaac, "I would highly recommend speaking with your guidance counselor."

"We will," Isaac promised.

The three werewolves were then dismissed. As soon as Delilah stepped out of the office, she felt like she could finally breathe again. She was starting to feel a little dizzy as well so she leaned against the wall and placed her hand over her heart. 'Free' replayed in her head.

"Are you two okay?" Anabelle asked the teenagers.

Delilah nodded. "Thank you. For everything. Is there anything I can do to repay you?"

"Just continue to keep yourselves safe," the she-wolf smiled motherly, "I'll go grab the car so I can get you two home to get some sleep."

She then exited the police department. That was when everything started to really sink in for Delilah. Her hand was now covering her mouth as she let out a sob. Isaac looked at her in worry, but when she drew her hand away, it was now revealing a smile.

"It's over."

Isaac grinned back. "It's over, baby."

Now Delilah did not even bother to hold her tears back as she leapt into Isaac's arms. But for the first time in her life, these were tears of joy.

Early the next morning, Derek led Isaac, Delilah, and Erica through the run down subway car. The brunette was trying not to trip over the loose wires and debris as she trailed behind the other three. She really hoped that her alpha would reconsider finding a new training location because this place was an absolute death trap.

Up at the front Delilah could hear him saying that he and Anabelle are having difficulty getting the kanima and learning its motivations for killing the random people. He then started ordering the betas to try to get Scott and his friends to come to their side.

"So why do we need their help?" Isaac asked.

"Because it's harder to kill than I thought and we still don't know who it is," Derek answered.

"And they do?"

"They might. Which is why I need one of you to get on their good side."

"Mmm," Erica hummed seductively, "Scott, Stiles, or Natalie?"

Derek rolled his eyes. "Either."

"Wait, isn't there supposed to be a full moon coming up?" Delilah asked.

"Yes, Delilah, I am aware of that," Derek said sarcastically, making the girl pout.

She remembered the last full moon when Isaac shifted in front of her for the first time. It was safe to say she was nervous- she still felt she wasn't properly trained on everything she needed to know. And now with her newfound violet eyes… who knew what Delilah was capable of doing during the full moon as a new beta. Especially because she still had no idea what it meant to have violet eyes.

Derek opened a big trunk and started pulling out chains and locks and everything that reminded Delilah of the medieval times.

"Oh my, these look comfortable," Erica said sassily, holding up a heavy link of chains. Derek grabbed them out of her hands.

"What exactly are you planning on doing to us?" Delilah asked with wide eyes as she pulled out something with spikes.

"Restraining you," Derek told her, "None of you have control over your powers yet so we have to take extra precautions."

"You said you were gonna teach us to change whenever we wanted," Isaac pointed out.

"There hasn't been time."

The three betas looked at each other with concern. "But if you have to lock us up during the full moon, that means… that means you're alone against the Argents."

"No I won't. Anabelle will be there with me." Derek closed the trunk and began to walk away. "Besides, they haven't found us."

"Yet! So how about we forget the kanima?"

"We can't!"

When her alpha turned around, the stench of stress radiating off of him hit Delilah hard. This was a lot for Derek, she could feel it. Chasing around the kanima, strengthening his pack full of teenagers, running from hunters, repairing his relationship with his childhood best friend… it was a lot of pressure. Delilah literally felt her shoulders getting heavier just by looking at him.

"There was something about the way Gerard looked at it. He wasn't afraid… at all. I don't know what he knows or what he's planning. But I'm sure about one thing- we have to find it first. And we're going to need Scott on our side to do it."

Derek dismissed them after that so they could get to school and do their job. Delilah was able to get her car keys back before she went to the police station the day before and she drove them to the school. But when they arrived, she didn't get out of the car. She stayed put as Isaac and Erica climbed out.

"You coming, Delilah?" Erica asked.

"Actually, there's something I need to take care of," Delilah answered, "You guys go ahead without me."

Isaac leaned on his elbows against her opened window. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah," the brunette assured him, "I just need to ask Derek about… you know."

"Okay," Isaac said slowly, "Just call me if you need anything."

"I promise."

After they kissed goodbye, Delilah drove back to the subway station. She walked down the stairs to see Derek sitting in front of the trunk, going through the equipment he was going to use on them for the full moon. They still gave her the heebie-jeebies but she shook them off when she remembered why she was there.

"Derek?"

Said man turned his head and sighed in annoyance when he saw Delilah standing there. "I thought I told you to go to school."

"I know," Delilah said, "but I needed to talk to you about something."

"Look, if this is one of your morality speeches, I don't have time for it."

"No, it's not that." She tucked her light brown hair behind her ear. "But I do want to apologize." Derek raised an eyebrow. "I know I was coming off as whiny and I'm sorry. I'm still having a bit of a hard time adjusting to everything but I'm not going to let that be an excuse anymore. I'm ready to obey you as my alpha and show you that I'm committed to this change."

Judging by the look on Derek's face he definitely was not expecting to hear that. And he could see by the way the girl held her head up high meant that she was serious about this.

He nodded. "Good. Glad to see your taking the high road. Now you should really get going to school."

"Actually, I'm not done."

Of course she wasn't. Derek had to refrain from groaning out loud.

"I wanted to ask you something," Delilah continued, "It's about my eyes."

"What, about how they're not changing color?" Derek asked.

"No, they finally have," Delilah laughed nervously. The alpha waited for her to continue. "But they're not… well, you see…" She let out a huff. "Well, I'd show you but I can't exactly do it on command."

Patting the lid of the trunk, Derek nonverbally instructed her to sit down. Delilah became confused when he grabbed her ankle and lifted her leg.

"Brace yourself."

Before she could ask anything, Derek snapped her ankle.

"Ah, fuck!" Delilah closed her eyes and gritted her teeth. "Was that really necessary?!"

But he didn't answer. Instead, Derek grabbed her by the chin and made her face him. When she opened her eyes they turned violet. He didn't know what was more peculiar- Delilah's eyes, the purple veins that crept along her leg, or the purple glow when her ankle healed itself faster than expected.

"What the hell… when did this start happening?"

"After Lawrence shot Isaac in the shoulder," Delilah said, "I went to check on the wound and when I touched it, it healed and my eyes became this color."

For once Derek was speechless. He let go of Delilah's chin and ran his hand through his hair.

"So what does it mean?" she asked.

"I… I don't know."

Now Delilah was the one who became irritated. "What do you mean, you don't know? I thought you knew everything about this stuff!"

"Apparently not everything," Derek snapped back.

"Unbelievable." The brunette leaned back on her hands. "So what do I do now? There has to be someone who knows what's going on with me."

"Actually… there might be."

This had to be a joke. Although Derek didn't strike her to be the kidding type. But, come on.

Delilah looked down at the address written down on the paper she was holding and back up at the building that matched it. She was still a little apprehensive but she desperately needed answers. And apparently this was the place to get them. Hopefully Derek hasn't steered her wrong. So after taking a deep breath, Delilah straightened up and walked towards the animal clinic.

The bell above the door rang as she walked in. It was a small building, very clean and pristine. Delilah also found it a little odd that there was absolutely no one in sight.

"Hello?" she called out, "Is anyone here?"

Except for the soft meowing and barking coming from the back, Delilah was met with silence. So she took it upon herself to enter the office which was wide open.

It just looked like the standard veterinarian's office with the bed and medical equipment. Delilah picked up a random scalpel and inspected it. Nothing too out of the ordinary. Maybe Derek did set her up. There was no way an animal doctor could answer the questions Delilah had and tell her what the hell was happening.

"Hello."

Gasping, Delilah spun around. Standing in the doorway was a man with dark skin and kind eyes. He was wearing a white coat, making him definitely look the part. He smiled at her.

"Sorry," he apologized, "I was in back going over some paperwork. I wasn't expecting to see someone in this early morning."

"Yeah, I just saw the OPEN sign and well…" Delilah noticed she was still holding the scalpel and set it down sheepishly. "I probably should've knocked."

"It's quite alright," the veterinarian chuckled.

Reading the paper in her hand, Delilah asked, "Are you… Dr. Alan Deaton?"

"I am. But you can call me Alan or Deaton, whichever is easier for you." He stuck his hand out to the brunette. "It's good to meet you, Miss…"

"Delilah." She shook his hand. "Delilah Lambert."

"Well, Delilah, I noticed you didn't have a pet with you. Are you here to pick one up?"

"No. I, uh… I was actually sent here by Derek Hale."

Based on the knowing look on Deaton's face, Delilah realized that her alpha actually did know what he was doing. Who knew? "I take it you're a part of his pack."

"I am. He said you might be able to help me with a… problem I have."

"What sort of problem?"

"So the first couple of days after I was received the bite, my eyes didn't change color. Then it started flashing all sorts of colors- like they didn't know which one to stick with. And then since yesterday… they've been violet."

She could see the wheels turning behind Deaton's eyes. "Violet eyes?" Delilah nodded. "Anything else that struck you as odd?"

Just as she was about to shake her head, she remembered something. "Actually, purple veins went up my arm when I touched and healed my boyfriend's gunshot wound yesterday. And same with my leg when Derek broke my ankle this morning."

"You healed your boyfriend's wound?"

"Yes…"

Obviously the veterinarian knew something. But his silence was driving Delilah absolutely crazy. He rubbed his chin and glanced towards the doorway. "Wait here." And then he walked out.

Those thirty seconds almost felt like thirty minutes as she waited for him. When he came back, Deaton was holding a German Shepard puppy. It looked very small and was trembling in his hands.

"This is Daisy," Deaton said as he set the puppy on the bed in between them, "She was brought in last week. She was found on the side of the road. Seems to be about two months old. There are parasites inside her. She also refuses to eat so she's malnourished and has a broken leg."

That alone made Delilah want to cry. "Poor thing… is she dying?"

"Yes," Deaton answered honestly, "but there is one last thing I have yet to try and I'm going to need your help. Can you do that for me, Delilah?"

"I… I could try."

"Good. I want you to place your hand on her side. Try to get close to where her heart is."

Delilah was reluctant, but Deaton nodded to say that it was okay. She reached out her hand towards the puppy. It yipped at her, making her quickly draw her hand back.

"It's alright," Deaton assured her, "She senses you're nervous. Just keep your hand still and take a deep breath."

Following his advice, the brunette breathed in and out slowly. She reached out once more, making sure her hand steady. Daisy was much calmer and allowed Delilah to place her hand near her heart. After a few seconds, the purple veins returned and traveled down her arm. Once they reached her hand, a purple glow surrounded the puppy. Suddenly her body began to look fuller and her broken leg sealed back into place.

The glow then disappeared and the once sickly animal was now full of life. Daisy let out a tiny bark as she placed her front paws on Delilah's chest. Her tail was wagging so fast it almost looked like a propeller.

"What did I do?" Delilah asked softly with wide eyes that were glued onto the puppy.

"You just saved her life, Delilah," Deaton answered, smiling.

A laugh escaped the girl's mouth. She couldn't believe it. She actually saved a life. Something good came from her powers. When she rubbed her eyes, tears stained her sleeves.

"I'm sorry," she laughed as the tears kept flowing.

"It's an emotional thing," Deaton told her, "Don't tell Scott I told you this, but he cried the first time too."

"He saved an animal's life too?"

"Well… not exactly. You see, werewolves can take away pain, but they can't heal others." Delilah furrowed her eyebrows as she watched Deaton open a drawer. "Are you familiar with Roman mythology?"

"Not exactly," Delilah answered.

Deaton pulled a book out of the drawer and flipped through the pages. When he found what he wanted, he laid the open book on the bed and pushed it towards Delilah. There was a picture of a big white bird with its wings wide open.

"During the medieval times, there was a creature known as a caladrius. It was a snow-white bird, resembling more of a dove or even a heron. It represented Christ in the Christian moralizations, specifically how he turns away sinners and casts them off. But then those he faces, he can make them whole again." Delilah was looking more lost than before. So Deaton elaborated. "Basically, the caladrius can look into the eyes of a sick person and heal them. But if it looks away, they die. The look of the caladrius can remove someone or something's illness and draw it into itself. Then it will fly into the sun, where the illness is burned."

It was silent between the two as Delilah took in all of the new information, which was plentiful.

"So what you're saying is that… I'm a bird?"

"If that's what you want to take out of it," Deaton answered, "but it can also take on the form of an angel, which would also make you an empath. Meaning you can physically feel the strongest emotion in the room. Does that sound more like you?"

"The more I think about it, yeah…"

It did make sense. Delilah was able to feel Jackson's trauma when Derek had tested him with the kanima venom and Derek's anger when… well, he was pretty much angry all the time. And she also wasn't able to kill Lydia when they cornered Scott's house. Apparently Delilah was a sensitive soul. That's what happens when you've gone through hell and back your whole life.

"There's still something I don't get," Delilah said as she scratched behind Daisy's ears, "I don't have wings or feathers or any of that. I still have the traits of a werewolf."

"And that's where the color of your eyes come in," Deaton told her, "You are what's known as a true hybrid. You possess the powers of both a werewolf and a caladrius. So everything they feel you feel times two. Including pain."

"Good to know," Delilah grumbled, "Whoa."

Dizziness hit her like a ton of bricks. She began to lose her balance but the veterinarian caught her and helped her sit up on the bed.

"Feeling lightheaded?" he asked her. She nodded and Deaton went to grab her a bottle of water. "That's going to be normal the first few times you heal someone with that much illness so that's why you can't overdo it for a bit."

"There goes my plan for healing all of the animals in here," Delilah joked before taking a sip of water.

"It's probably a good thing or else I'd be out of a job," Deaton joked back, making her laugh.

"Why me? None of the other pack members are hybrids or have something different about them. How come I'm the only one?"

"Most people who accept the bite are more focused on using their power for the wrong reasons. I get something different from you. Trauma, heartache… you don't care for power… you just want to change the world. Change your life."

Huh. Delilah narrowed her eyes. "You're good."

Deaton chuckled. "No, I've just been involved in this world for too long." He placed his hand on her shoulder. "But you can change the world. Once you grow into your powers, you'll be able to do things you've never thought you were capable of. Just trust yourself."

"I'll definitely try," Delilah promised, "Clearly I have no idea what I'm doing. And while Derek knows what it's like to be a werewolf, I don't think he'll know what to do about a… you know, caladrius. So just in case I need some guidance… would you be able to help me?"

"Of course, Delilah."
