Hi guys! I'm so glad you guys are liking this story! This along with Awake and Alive and No One Else are my babies and I appreciate every review, favorite, and follow so much! I hope you enjoy!

After they left the warehouse, Delilah and Isaac walked Erica home before heading to the apartment. They were both sleepy and since it was already past midnight, the young lovers decided it was time to go to bed. Isaac had changed into just a pair of sweatpants while Delilah wore one of his t-shirts and dance shorts and crawled into bed. As soon as she curled up in his arms, they both fell asleep.

Someone knocked on the door, waking Delilah. She looked back at Isaac and saw he was still in a deep sleep, lightly snoring, which she had always found to be cute. Gently, she pried his arm from her waist so she could get up. She rubbed her eyes as she walked out of the bedroom into the living room. When she opened the door, she was surprised to see who was right outside.

"Scott. Hi."

"Hi," said boy greeted. He took in Delilah's attire. "I'm so sorry, did I wake you?"

"Yeah, but it's okay," Delilah said, "How are you feeling? It looks like you're recovering well."

"For the most part," Scott said, "It's taking a while but I'm fine. Anabelle is, too. She's just still with Derek at the station."

"Good. That's a relief."

Scott rubbed the back of his neck. "I also wanted to make sure you and Isaac were doing okay. I would have texted you but I don't have your number."

"We're doing fine as well," Delilah told him, "If anything, we're just a little tired. I guess it's a good thing we're on spring break now."

"Yeah," the teen wolf chuckled, "So I talked to Deaton earlier. He wants you to come by again before the full moon so he can prepare you. Probably since your experience might be different from everyone else's."

"Lucky me," Delilah sighed, "But yeah, tell him that I'll come by the day of."

"I will. You know, he actually talks about you quite a bit. He seems to be really impressed by you."

Both of the hybrid's eyebrows rose. "Me? Really?"

"Yeah. He thinks your really smart and admires how you actually like learning the history of what you are. I even catch him doing his own research about it too. He might even like you more than me."

"You're not afraid I'm gonna come after your job now, are you?" Delilah joked, "I may have the ability to heal but I'm still not sure I'm qualified enough to be a veterinarian's assistant."

"Oh, I'm not worried at all," Scott said, "Even though it might not be so bad to have another person my age around the office."

Both of them laughed before it became silent. They both looked down at their own feet, not sure what to say next.

Delilah cleared her throat. "Did you, um… did you want to come in?"

"Oh, no, that's okay," Scott said, "I should probably go check on Stiles and Natalie and-" He paused, remembering the fight that he and Allison had earlier. Delilah was about to ask but Scott just smiled at her. "I'll see you later, okay?"

"Sure thing," Delilah smiled back, "Have a good night, Scott."

She shut the door after he left and she returned to the bedroom with Isaac. As soon as she pulled the blanket back over her, Isaac rolled over and wrapped his arm around Delilah and laid his head on her chest. A smile etched on her face as she ran her fingers through his hair.

"Where'd you go?" Isaac mumbled, eyes still shut.

"Scott was at the door," Delilah answered.

That made the beta's eyes open. "He was? What did he want?"

"He was just checking to see how we were doing after tonight. And he told me that Deaton wanted me to come by this week to help me prep for the full moon."

"It seems like you and Scott have been getting to know each other a little better."

Shrugging, Delilah said, "I guess. But Deaton is his boss. And Deaton has been becoming a mentor to me now. We've been bound to cross paths at some point."

Isaac never considered himself to be a jealous person. Like every teenager, he had his insecurities. Coming from an abusive household and being made fun of by the cool crowd didn't help much in boosting his confidence. Delilah and the bite did, though. Isaac still had his moments, but every time Delilah looked at him or kissed him, all of those bad thoughts went away.

Now, he wasn't naive. He knew there were a ton of guys pining over Delilah. She was a beautiful girl, inside and out. What wasn't there to love about her? Most of them were cooler and way better looking than him. Like Scott. He might still be crazy for Allison, but there was no way that disaster of a relationship was going to last. And with the way Scott looked at Delilah at the rave tonight, Isaac had an inkling that his girlfriend was on his radar too. He didn't like that at all.

Delilah wouldn't cheat. Isaac knew the girl better than that. And he knew that she loved him just as much as he loved her. But there was always still that worry that Delilah could leave him for someone else. She deserved someone better. Someone that wasn't so fucked up and broken. Someone that could provide her with all of the finer things in life that he couldn't give her. Even though she always told him he was more than she could ever ask for. It was hard for Isaac to believe that still.

"You okay, baby?" Delilah asked when he didn't respond to her.

Instead of answering, Isaac moved his body up so he was eye level with her. He propped himself up with his elbows. It may have been dark in the room but he could still see the sparkle in Delilah's eyes. One of her fingers traced along his face and he closed his eyes at the soft touch. Isaac took the hand that was on his face and brought it to his lips. When he looked back at Delilah, his heart grew warm the longer he stared at this perfect human being. Even though she wasn't fully human anymore.

"I love you, Delilah," Isaac whispered, "So much."

He heard her heartbeat increase, just like it always did whenever he told her that.

"I love you even more, Isaac."

When Delilah leaned forward so she could kiss him, it was almost enough to make every worry he had go away.

Almost.

It was finally the day of the full moon. Delilah had been anxious about it every day this week. She had no idea what to expect. And frankly, neither did anyone else except for Deaton when it came to caladrius abilities. While he couldn't exactly be there physically that night to help guide Delilah through this, he could at least advise her beforehand. He might not have dealt with a caladrius before, let alone one mixed with a werewolf, but he did know well enough about the supernatural to give Delilah some helpful advice. Plus, doing a ton of research between patients was always useful.

Right now Delilah was sitting on the operating table with Daisy in her lap. The puppy would get so excited to see the girl whenever she came into the office, which was a lot more than she thought she would. Not that she minded. And while Delilah always liked animals, she was never allowed to have any pets growing up. So being around all of these animals brought out the child in her. Being able to help heal some of them only made it much more meaningful to her. Doing a good deed always made the girl happy.

"So, I'm just going to be honest with you," Deaton said as wrote something down on a piece of paper, "tonight might be incredibly brutal for you. I know you'll be with Derek and the rest of his pack, so you're going to feel everyone else's pain on top your own. And while one side of you is going to want to kill, the other side will want to bring some sort of peace. This can cause an internal battle within yourself. Instead of wanting to attack others, you'll end up wanting to attack yourself. It could also make you an easy target for the other betas."

"Even though Derek and Anabelle will be locking us up?" Delilah asked.

"Yes," Deaton answered, "You all may end up breaking through your chains at some point."

"Well, that's scary," the hybrid said.

"Which is why I wrote this down for you." Deaton handed Delilah the piece of paper he was writing on.

"'We fall, we break, we fail. But then we rise, we heal, we overcome'."

"Repeat this to yourself whenever you feel the effects of the full moon," the veterinarian told her, "It should help you calm down and bring you back to your normal state of mind."

"You think it could work?" Delilah asked.

"It will. As long as you believe it will."

The girl repeated the mantra to herself a couple of times, letting the words really sink in. She only hoped they would actually do the trick once she actually starts feeling the full moon take over her.

She folded the paper and placed it in her book. "I like it. I think it helps that it's something I can actually relate to."

"I know," Deaton said, "That's why I picked it out for you." He sighed when Delilah looked at him curiously. "Scott informed me of your former home life."

"He did?" Delilah's face fell. "Oh. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised."

"I'm sure the words 'I'm sorry' sound like a broken record to you at this point. But still… I don't think I could ever understand what could compel a parent to do anything harmful to their child."

"Yeah… I still don't understand either. But I'm taking the healing process one day at a time. That's all I can do. I just can't let it break me anymore."

"You shouldn't," Deaton told her, "You seem like a very strong young woman, Delilah. And the trauma will only make you stronger. That could be why you were chosen to be a caladrius."

Delilah nodded. "That sounds logical enough. Your children are lucky to have someone as wise and encouraging as you."

"Oh, no," Deaton chuckled, "I don't have any children. I've been a bachelor all my life, actually. My life is a little too busy for that."

"I understand. But if it's worth anything to you, I think you're very wise and encouraging. I don't know how I would be able to do this without you. So I want to thank you for being an amazing teacher through all of this."

The kind words were enough to actually make the veterinarian's heart soften a little, which wasn't an easy thing for him to feel.

But he still smiled. "That is worth something to me. Thank you, Delilah."

"Although I wish you could be there tonight, I don't want to risk harming you," Delilah said as she hopped off the operating table. She placed Daisy in Deaton's hands. "So I guess I should get going to the station."

"You'll do fine tonight," Deaton assured her, "You have your crystal charged, right?"

The hybrid showed him her necklace. "It's all ready to go."

"Good. And I wrote down my phone number on that paper for you. If you have any questions or just need a pep talk, don't hesitate to call."

"Will do," Delilah smiled, "Thank you again."

After she left, Deaton placed the puppy back in her kennel. It was a shame that Daisy had already been claimed to be a part of K-9 training otherwise he would have given her to Delilah in a split second. Although her life might be a little too preoccupied to take care of a puppy at the moment. Especially when she was living in someone else's apartment with her boyfriend. Who all three just so happened to be werewolves.

Deaton wondered how she enjoyed living in that environment anyway. It was probably ideal that Delilah was in Anabelle's care so she could be more comfortable with her werewolf powers and be with Isaac who was helping her adapt and recover as well. Don't get the veterinarian wrong, he liked and respected the omega very much, but because of that fact, Deaton knew that it was not exactly the safest choice since hunters are always going to go after her and Delilah could be easily be harmed. And with no control of her powers just yet, she might not be able to properly protect herself just yet. She still needed more training.

The police department had the girl's record on file. Deaton wondered if they were going to let Anabelle sign off as Delilah's legal guardian or if she was going to be placed in an adoption agency. While he didn't have much experience with kids, Deaton was very familiar with teenagers, especially during within these past couple months. He also knew that those that are older have a less likely chance of being adopted since most people who adopt are often looking for younger children. He didn't want Delilah going through that same heartbreak. The poor girl had already gone through too much.

Maybe it was time Deaton started thinking about finally having children.

Delilah had a bit of time to kill before she had to be at the subway station, she she had decided that morning to not take her car and walk. She figured it would be a good chance to clear her head before things got disastrous.

It was starting to get warmer in Beacon Hills, which Delilah was happy about. The sun felt good against her face and she wished this town could always be like this. She couldn't remember the last time she was actually able to enjoy the simpler things in life. Sure, it might have been different now that she had to fear hunters and other unheard of creatures. But if you were to ask Delilah, she would have chosen to face all of that rather than go back to the hell she was living in before any day. So she had to be grateful for any beautiful thing she comes across any chance she could get.

Somehow her feet had taken her to the end of her old street. From where she was standing she could she her and Isaac's old houses. The only good thing that ever came from this neighborhood was the two of them living next door to each other growing up. Otherwise Delilah was feeling a little nauseous from just standing at the corner of the street. It could be just the effects of the full moon taking action already. But the flashbacks of all of the hitting, the screaming, and the… you know… all of that just added onto her anxiousness.

At some point she did need to go back to her house so she could clean it out. She didn't know why she was putting it off. Lawrence was dead so he wouldn't be there to hurt her anymore. And now her mother was gone too. All of the uncomfortable exchanges of words wouldn't be there either. It would all just end up being too real for her. While Delilah was glad to be out of there, she couldn't help but still think of it as home. That terrified her.

A slight breeze swished past her, the cool touch make her shiver for a second. Delilah looked up at the sky to see the sun starting to set and the moon was creeping up slowly. She hugged her cardigan tighter around her as she walked past the street, anticipating the night's events.

It was already dark once Delilah got to the subway station. Waiting for her at the bottom of the steps was Isaac as he sat on a crate. He heard her footsteps and his head snapped up. As he walked over to her, he took in her nervous posture and wandering eyes.

"Are you ready for this?" Isaac asked her.

"Ready as I'll ever be," Delilah answered, not looking up at him.

"Hey." Isaac crooked his finger underneath her chin and tilted her head up so she could look at him. "It'll be over before you know it. And I'm going to be right there with you the entire time. I'll make sure of it."

"I'm just scared that I'm going to hurt you," his love told him.

"Me too," he admitted, "But whatever happens tonight, it's not going to be our fault. If you do attack me, I'm not going to hold it against you."

Delilah cracked a small smile. "I can't say the same about you." She couldn't help but chuckle when Isaac rolled his eyes. "I'm kidding. But I trust you not to hurt me. At least not intentionally."

"And I trust you, too." Isaac lowered his head and caught Delilah's lips in a gentle kiss. "If we don't kill each other by the end of the night can we please go on that date already?"

"I'd love nothing more," Delilah giggled. She kissed Isaac once again.

"Everyone's in there," Isaac said, nodding his head towards the subway car, "We should go in, too."

"Let's get this thing over with."

The hybrid took Isaac's hand and they walked inside the car. At the end of it Derek was locking Boyd against some rails attached to the wall. They along with Anabelle and Erica heard them walk in and they looked up at them.

"Well?" Derek asked.

"Deaton basically just said I'm more of a danger to myself than I am to you guys," Delilah said. She felt Isaac squeeze her hand.

"You think you'll be able to handle being in here with everyone else?"

Delilah was still hesitant but she put on a brave face as she nodded. "I think so."

"That's good then," Anabelle said, "At least we can keep an eye on all of you at the same time." Derek nodded in agreement and continued to lock Boyd up.

"What if we break free?" the boy asked.

"Then you'll do anything you can to get out of here," Derek said, "Probably try to kill Anabelle and me, then kill each other and kill anything else with a heartbeat." He picked up the headband and looked at Anabelle. "I need you to hold her."

The she-wolf hooked her arms underneath Erica's and kept a tight grip on her.

"So how come she gets to wear the headband?" Isaac asked.

"Because she and Delilah will be able to withstand the pain better than the two of you," Derek answered, "I've got an extra one if you really want it."

Isaac shook his head. "I'll pass." Erica scoffed.

"You ready?" Derek asked the beta.

"Yeah," Erica said nervously.

She gripped onto the pole next to her as she braced herself for what was about to happen. Derek lowered the headband onto her head and began to tighten the screw.

At first it was uncomfortable, gasps escaping every so often. But then the spikes began to drill even deeper into her skull. Erica screamed in agony at the sensation and it was hard for everyone to watch. Even for Derek and Anabelle but they had to keep a straight face as Erica tried to squirm out of their grasp. Blood ran down her head as the headband became tighter.

While this was happening, Delilah suddenly felt a sharp pain in her head. Her eyes squeezed shut as she hoped it was just a slight headache. She waited for it to go away, but instead it got worse.

Much worse.

The pain started traveling all around Delilah's head. It was like someone was drilling into her skull and it almost burned. Her vision started to go blurry so she had to grab onto Isaac's arm so she wouldn't fall. Unintentionally her claws dug into his skin, making him wince at the intrusion. But his own discomfort was put on the back burner when he stared at his girlfriend in horror.

Delilah had now let go of Isaac's arm and clutched at her head. What were once whimpers had now turned into screams that surpassed Erica's. Isaac tried to ask her what was wrong but his voice couldn't be heard over her screeching. Derek and Anabelle looked at each other with wide eyes.

"She can feel Erica's pain," Anabelle realized.

"Isaac, sit her down," Derek ordered, "Hurry!"

And the boy did as he was told. He lowered Delilah down so she was on the floor and had her back against the wall. Not once did she stop screaming nor let go of her head. She started to kick her legs out when Isaac went to hold her down and he was starting to panic at not being able to get her to calm down.

Luckily Derek had just finished screwing on Erica's headband. Anabelle kept her hold on her as Derek grabbed the second headband and bent down in front of the screaming girl.

"Make it stop, make it stop!" Delilah cried.

"Get behind her so you can hold her," Derek instructed Isaac.

"What's happening?!" Isaac exclaimed, "Why is she screaming?!"

"She's an empath," Derek explained as he placed the headband on Delilah, "That means she can feel everything you guys are feeling. And because she's a werewolf and a caladrius, everything for her is twice as intense and excruciating. Keep her as still as possible."

But that was proved to be hard to do when Derek started screwing the headband tighter. Delilah was thrashing against Isaac as the spikes of the headband dug deep into her head. Tears stained her face. She was begging Isaac to help her and get rid of the pain. The sounds she was making made him want to cry with her. All he could do was just tighten his hold on her as Derek kept tightening the headband.

Once the headband was secure enough and blood was running down Delilah's face, Derek moved on to securing her wrists with cuffs and locking them around the poles on each side of her. He even went as far as tying her ankles together.

"What are you doing?" Isaac asked, "I thought the headband and cuffs should be enough!"

"You heard what she said," Derek told him, "She's a danger to herself. You don't want her hurting herself even more than she already is."

But soon they would all realize that the chains were absolutely bogus.

All of the abuse Delilah had endured all her life was nothing compared to what she was experiencing at this very moment. Everything else around her was nonexistent, from the conversation Derek and Isaac were having and Erica and Boyd's growls and screams, as the pain from her head was cascading down her entire body. Her eyes had turned violet and her fangs poked her bottom lip. Isaac had long moved away so he could be restrained himself so Delilah was writhing freely. Well, as freely as she could while being held back.

The feeling that was going through her body was indescribable. It was like not only were her insides on fire, but also every bone in her body were broken. How the hell was Delilah supposed to do this? It might have not been entirely different from her past, but that wasn't any more comforting to think about.

It seemed to be getting to everyone now. Delilah could see Erica and Boyd starting to shift on the other side of the car, growling at Anabelle. Even Isaac was struggling against his own restraints. Delilah wanted to call out for him, but all that could come out of her mouth were more screams. Her skin felt like there was something crawling all over her and she need to scratch that itch.

Then all hell broke loose when Erica and Boyd started to break out of their restraints. Anabelle was doing her best to hold them back but was not succeeding s Delilah could hear the she-wolf call out to Derek, who had left the car for a short period. When he came back in, the older werewolves began to fight with the betas to hold them back. Isaac had broke out of his chains but instead of joining in on the fight, he jumped out of the car window and took off.

"Isaac!" Derek called after him. But he couldn't chase after him because Boyd was holding him back.

Delilah pulled at her restraints, yanking as hard as possible so she could break free and go after her love. Tilting her fully shifted head back, she let out a loud roar that was mixed with a screech and the chains snapped off of her.

As much as she wanted to kill the other werewolves in the car with her, her brain seemed to be playing tug of war with itself. This must be where the mind battle starts to take place like Deaton said. Delilah's urge to kill was strong but the urge to fight it off was even stronger. So she started scratching at herself.

Her long claws dug into her forearms and tore away. It reminded the hybrid of cutting herself with a razor blade like she used to. The circumstances may have been different, but the reasoning was just the same- to bring harm to herself. Delilah didn't stop at just her arms. She also scratched all over her legs and her chest. Any sort of skin that was exposed Delilah ripped at just so she could prevent bringing harm onto others.

Boyd then suddenly pounced on her, both of them falling onto the floor. He got on top of her and started clawing at her face. Because her caladrius side was showing dominance, Delilah had no choice but to lie there and take the beating. Each scratch drained another ounce of her and she knew if she didn't act fast, Boyd could easily kill her. So Delilah scratched him back and kicked him off of her. He was about to attack her again until Isaac came back into the car and pinned him down on one of the seats.

Now that Boyd was off of her, Delilah had gone back to slicing into herself. She was losing so much blood but she just couldn't stop.

"Delilah!" she heard her alpha yell. He tried to pry her hands off herself and pin them behind her back but she was just a bit stronger at the moment. "Delilah, you have to stop! You're going to kill yourself!"

"Isaac!" she screamed, "Isaac!"

"He's holding Boyd back," Derek told her, "You need to control yourself."

Delilah shook her head. "I can't! I can't do it!"

"Yes you can. Isaac can't always come to your rescue. You need to be able to do this on your own. Now what else did the vet say to you?"

"Something… some sort of mantra."

"What was the mantra?"

"I don't fucking remember!" Delilah cried out.

"Try," Derek said sternly, "You have to remember. Do not let this break you."

Break… break… that was it. Delilah shut her eyes as the words Deaton gave her came rushing back to her.

"We fall… we break… we fail… but then we rise… we heal… we overcome."

Derek noticed Delilah's claws retract. "It's working. Keep going."

"We fall, we break, we fail," Delilah said with more confidence, "but then we rise, we heal, we overcome. We fall, we break, we fail, but then we rise, we heal, we overcome…"

Finally she began to calm down. The adrenaline was fading and fatigue took its place. Delilah was about to collapse but Derek caught her. As he lowered her down, he noticed her arm was raised. He traced down her arm with his eyes and saw her hand holding onto Isaac's.

That along with the mantra seemed to do the trick.

Everyone was much more mellow after that, even though Erica and Boyd were unconscious. The pain finally left Delilah's body. While she still felt weak, all of the scratches had healed. Now that she was calm, she allowed Anabelle to chain her back up minus the headband.

"Do you want to use your crystal before I lock up your wrists?" Anabelle asked her.

"No, it's okay," Delilah said, "Maybe it's best if I don't. That way I can stay tired enough to not go crazy again hopefully."

"Okay." Anabelle unscrewed a bottle of water. "Here, have a drink of this." She raised the bottle to Delilah's lips and let her drink for a few seconds.

"Thank you," the girl said when she was done, "I didn't… I didn't hurt anyone, did I?"

The pure wolf shook her head. "No. You didn't hurt anyone, sweetie."

"Good." Delilah let out a breathy chuckle, "It's so weird… everything was so intense and blinding and then all of a sudden… everything did a full 180. Everything feels so grounded now. Like I feel normal again. I don't know how that happened."

"It sounds like you found an anchor," Anabelle smiled.

"An anchor?"

"It's what channels you to your human side. You think of what means a lot to you and it brings you back to earth. Its different for everyone. It could be a person, a place, or a thing. You seem to have two- your mantra and Isaac."

"Isaac…"

It all made sense when she looked over at her love who was still fully shifted just like she was. His eyes were already on her even as he spoke to Derek. The way he looked at her was as if he thought she was the world. That's how Delilah felt whenever she looked at him. Whenever asked, she would tell you that Isaac Lahey was the most perfect human being. He was absolutely beautiful no matter if he were human or werewolf.

There had been so many naysayers throughout their relationship. People even considered them to be like Lady and the Tramp (if only they knew about their canine traits). They would say she was way too good for him. What's a popular girl like you doing with a misfit like him? But Delilah didn't see a difference between them. She and Isaac understood each other more than anyone else could. Especially now that they were in the same supernatural realm together. Their love has only grown stronger even with all odds against them.

Who cared if they were just kids… they were grown enough to know what real love was. They could see that in each other's eyes and feel it in their hearts.

Even when Anabelle kissed Delilah's forehead before following Derek outside the car, the hybrid never took her eyes off Isaac. And he was smiling right back at her.

"How are you holding up, baby?" he asked her.

"I'm okay," Delilah answered, "Just a little tired. I would also kill for a chocolate milkshake and fries right now." Her eyes widened at her own choice of words. "Okay, maybe not actually kill… well, you know what I mean."

"Yes, I do," Isaac laughed, "How about after this we go to Jane's? That sound good?"

"Sounds perfect." Delilah lulled her head back against the wall, struggling to stay awake. "Was it easier for you the second time around?"

"Not at first. But Derek told me to find an anchor to get in touch with my human side. That seemed to help a lot."

"Anabelle just told me the same thing too. She said having you hold my hand along with repeating the mantra did it for me."

Isaac looked at his love sadly. "I know Derek wanted you to do it on your own, but seeing you attack yourself like that… it was scary. I had to jump in."

"I don't blame you." Delilah sighed, "I can't believe I actually have to go through this once a month. It's going to be impossible to get this under control."

"Don't think that way, baby. You'll get the hang of it in no time."

"You really think so?"

With a nod, Isaac said, "I know so. Anabelle said to me earlier that this is our new family. We're always going to have your back. Just like I know you'll always have ours. No matter how tough things get, I'm right there with you. I made that promise to you when we first started dating and I'm going to keep it till I die."

The hybrid's heart swelled. What in the hell did she ever do to deserve Isaac? He really was the real angel in Delilah's life. She could never take that for granted, even on the days she felt she wasn't worthy of him. But just like him, Delilah was going to keep that same promise and stay right by his side.

"I love you to the moon and back," she told him.

Her love smiled affectionately. "I love you to the moon and back."

I hope you guys enjoyed this one! Someone had a couple theories about season 3 like if Deucalion was Delilah's estranged father or that the alpha pack was going to try to hunt down Delilah so she could cure Deucalion's blindness. Only one of those are true, but you'll have to wait and see which it is!

I love seeing your guys' theories and your love for Delilaac so please review, favorite, and follow! And please go check out the other two stories in my Teen Wolf Saga, Awake and Alive and No One Else and leave a review! Your love keeps me going and I appreciate every single one of you!
