These stories to intertwine quite often and you will see some repeated stuff, but they will be told in other POV's so I highly encourage you to read the others.
After Jackson was found to be dead after stabbing himself, Stiles and Natalie were declared to be missing. The crowd finally dispersed and the lacrosse team along with Scott, Isaac, Delilah, Sheriff Stilinski and Deputy Henderson were in the locker room. Delilah was a little weirded out to be in there with so many of the players ogling at her. But Isaac shot them death glares and they instantly looked away.
"We got to meet with the medical examiner and try to figure out what happened with Jackson," Sheriff Stilinski said, stressed out over his son and his son's girlfriend, "We've got an APB out on Stiles and Natalie. His jeep is still in the parking lot, so that means…" He shook his head and sighed. "Hell, I don't know what that means."
Mr. Henderson wiped his hand over his tired face as he wondered where his daughter was. "Look, if they answer their phones, if they answer their emails, if either one of you see them…"
"We'll call you," Isaac reassured them.
"Look, he's probably just freaked out from all the attention or something and wanted to be alone with Natalie," Scott told them, "We'll find them."
"And when we do you'll be the first to know," Delilah promised.
The sheriff nodded, still not so sure. "Yeah. We'll see you, okay?"
"Try get some rest if you can," Deputy Henderson told them.
Then he and Sheriff Stilinski walked out of the locker room. Coach walked up to Scott to talk to him about him needing to get his grades up so he could play next year. As they spoke to each other, Isaac and Delilah leaned against the lockers, arms wrapped around each other. Isaac kissed the top of her head.
"What the hell did we get ourselves into?" Delilah said softly.
"We thought we were receiving a better life for ourselves," Isaac told her, "But Derek and Anabelle were right. It all comes at a price."
"A very expensive price," Delilah huffed, "Poor Stiles and Natalie. I hope they're okay."
"They are, baby," Isaac said, "I'm sure those two can talk themselves out of whatever craziness they get into."
"I'm not sure if that's comforting or not," the hybrid chuckled lightly.
Scott finished talking to Coach and he walked out of the locker room. The three teen wolves scanned their eyes around to make sure they were the only ones in there.
"Is that everyone?" Scott asked.
The couple kept looking around. "I think so," Isaac said.
"Yeah, it's just us," Delilah confirmed.
They both heard the sound of metal twisting. When they looked down at their feet, they saw the door to Stiles's locker torn off and bent.
Well, that was one way to do it.
Scott began pulling stuff out of the locker. He pulled out one of Stiles's flannels and a tennis shoe.
"You're gonna find them by scent?" Isaac asked him.
"Yeah, we all are," Scott said, handing him the shoe.
"What about Natalie?" Delilah asked, "Should I go get something from the girls locker room?"
"Don't need to," Scott told her. He held up a dark grey beanie and gave it to Delilah. "She likes to keep some of her things in Stiles's locker."
Isaac looked down at the object in his hand. "But how come you get his shirt and I get a shoe?" Delilah rolled her eyes.
"Just be glad it's not his underwear," she told him.
"Lucky me."
They waited for Scott to say something but his attention was on Derek and Anabelle who were standing on the other side of the locker room.
"We need to talk," Derek said.
Another man unknown to Isaac but somewhat familiar to Delilah appeared from behind the lockers. "All of us."
"Holy shit," Scott stretched out, eyes growing large. He backed up slowly. "What the hell is this?"
"You know, I thought the same thing when I saw you talking to Gerard at the sheriff's station," Derek said.
"Okay, hold on," Scott told him, "He- he threatened to kill my mom. And I had to get close to him. What was I supposed to do?"
"I'm gonna go with Scott on this one," the man said, making everyone turn to look at him, "Have you seen his mom? She's gorgeous."
"Shut up," Scott, Derek, and Anabelle snapped at him in unison. He rolled his eyes.
The young couple was still confused. "Who is he?" Isaac asked.
"That's Peter, Derek's uncle," Scott explained, "Little while back, he tried to kill us all, and then we set him on fire, and Derek slashed his throat."
Well that was a wild start to finish.
Peter waved. "Hi."
"That's good to know," Isaac nodded awkwardly.
Something finally clicked in Delilah's mind. "Wait. I know you."
Anabelle raised an eyebrow. "You do?"
"You do?" Isaac echoed.
"Yeah." Delilah pointed at Peter. "You're the guy from the mall. When I went to buy my dress for the winter formal. You were in the fitting room." This made Isaac's eyes widen.
"Oh my god, it runs in the family," Anabelle groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose.
"Ah yes, Delilah," Peter smiled, "the seductive and wily temptress. It's nice to see you've joined our little troupe."
"Okay, I think we're done with the introductions now," Isaac said, pushing Delilah behind him.
"How is he alive?" Scott asked.
"Look, the short version is he knows how to stop Jackson," Derek told him, "And maybe how to save him."
"Well, that's very helpful except Jackson's dead," Isaac said.
"What?"
"Yeah, Jackson's dead," Scott confirmed, "It just happened on the field."
Derek, Anabelle, and Peter all looked at each other, shocked by the news. Also a little disappointed. Maybe even fearful? All of which Delilah found to be very odd.
"Isn't that what you wanted in the first place?" she asked Derek.
"Yeah, why is no one taking this as good news?" Isaac questioned.
"Because if Jackson is dead, then it didn't just happen," Peter said, "Gerard wanted it to happen."
"But why?" Derek asked.
"Well that's exactly what we need to figure out." Peter stepped forward. "And something tells me that the window of opportunity is closing. Quickly."
They all drove to the Hale and Fierro house in separate cars. They were hoping to find more information on what's happening with Jackson and what exactly Gerard was planning. Peter insisted that they had something called a bestiary, which was like some sort of encyclopedia on supernatural creatures. This intrigued yet terrified Delilah. Now the possibilities on what was roaming around the world were endless. She could only hope that she wouldn't have to run into anything that was too horrible in the future.
"Oh," Scott breathed as he read the text on his phone when they went inside the house, "Oh, they found Stiles and Natalie." He furrowed his eyebrows. "And Zach?"
"I told you, we looked everywhere," Derek repeated to his uncle.
"You didn't look here," Peter said, pulling a black case from underneath the staircase. He blew away the dust.
"What is that, a book?" Derek asked.
Peter shot him an odd look. "No. It's a laptop. What century are you living in?"
Anabelle actually snorted, a sound no one had ever heard her make. Derek glared at her which didn't stop her snickering. "I'm sorry, but you kind of walked into that one."
"I'm glad my wit is finally appreciated," Peter smirked. His nephew rolled his eyes. "As I was saying, a few days after I got out of the coma, I transferred everything that we had. Fortunately, the Argents aren't the only ones that keep records."
As the three older werewolves stepped into the other room so they could do research, Scott's phone went off. He sighed as he looked at who it was but still answered it.
"Hey, Mom, I can't talk right now," Scott said.
"Oh, yeah?" Delilah heard his mother say, "Well I'm so freaked out that I can barely talk either."
"What's wrong?" Scott asked.
"Something- definitely something. I don't know what but I think you're gonna want to see this for yourself."
"We'll go with you," Isaac told Scott, "Mostly because Delilah's the only one with a car."
"So that means we gotta get going," Delilah said, jingling her keys, "Now."
Usually Delilah was always a careful driver. Tonight she was making an exception. She was running almost every red light and going at least 60 miles per hour. It was like Delilah was in an action film, which was basically what her life had turned into. She might earn her first ticket tonight, but if it was to save mankind (or non-mankind) then it would be well worth it.
Her tires screeched when she swerved into the parking lot of the hospital. They got out of the car and made a mad dash into the building. Not even willing to wait for an elevator, the teenagers ran up the stairs and through the hallways until they found Scott's mother.
"Mom!" Scott called.
The woman sighed in relief. "Oh, Scott." She peered at Isaac and Delilah. "And Scott's new friends."
"Mom, Isaac and Delilah," Scott introduced, pointing behind him at the couple. They waved.
"Melissa. So I'm assuming you're all… you know-"
"Yeah," Isaac nodded, "Well, Delilah's half."
"What's the other half?" Melissa questioned.
"Caladrius," Delilah answered, "It's like a bird."
"Or an angel," Scott and Isaac said together. Delilah shrugged when Melissa raised her eyebrows.
"Yeah, that too."
"Huh," Melissa nodded, "Strange. But not as strange as what I found. Come with me."
They followed the nurse into a room after making sure that no one else was watching them. Laying on the table in a body bag was Jackson. What was in fact strange about it was the clear casing that was wrapped around his body like some sort of cocoon. His claws were out so they assumed that the clear stuff was his venom.
"Talk about creepy," Isaac breathed out when he stared down at the body.
"What's happening to him?" Delilah asked.
"I thought you were going to tell me," Melissa responded, "Is it bad?"
"It doesn't look good," Scott said.
All four of them jumped back when Jackson's head suddenly twitched, which was definitely something that a dead person couldn't do. "Whoa."
"Um, Mom, can you zip it up, please?" Scott asked, not taking his eyes off of Jackson.
Melissa sighed in exasperation. How did she manage to get herself roped into this?
"Okay," she said anyway. She started pulling up the zipper on the body bag. "Okay, okay. Okay, here we go."
When she got to right below Jackson's chin, the zipper got stuck. Of course. Melissa kept tugging on it but it just wouldn't budge. Just when they thought things couldn't get any worse, Jackson hissed at them, making everyone flinch once again.
"Mom, zip!" Scott said hurriedly.
"Okay, okay, okay, okay." The zipper started working again but Jackson kept hissing.
"Zip! Zip, Mom, zip! Zip!"
The kanima was finally fully enclosed in the body bag and everyone took a huge deep breath. "Alright," Melissa sighed, holding her hands up, "I've done my part. Everything else is up to-"
Suddenly the body bag started moving. Everyone yelled out and their backs were up against the wall as their widened eyes remained on the bag.
"Scott, I think you might need to call Derek and Anabelle," Delilah suggested. She flinched when the kanima hissed. "Okay, definitely call Derek and Anabelle."
"Yeah, right now would be good," Isaac nodded.
Scott dialed Anabelle's number and raised his phone to his ear. It only rang twice until Anabelle picked up. "Scott? I didn't realize you left. Where are you?"
"At the hospital," Scott told her, "Derek's there, right?"
"Yeah, he's here."
Derek must have grabbed the phone from her because Scott heard his voice next. "What's happening with Jackson?"
"It's kind of hard to explain," Scott said, his eyes still glued to the body bag, "It's like he's in some kind of transparent casing from the venom coming from his claws. He's also starting to move."
Jackson's thrashes from inside the bag were becoming more erratic. "Oh, god," Delilah's voice wavered slightly.
"Scott, bring him to us," Derek ordered.
"I'm not sure if we have time for that," Scott told him.
A loud screech came from the other side of the phone, but it was still loud enough to make Scott pull the phone away from his ear. Isaac and Delilah shot looks at him and he shrugged.
"Scott, get him out of there now-" Derek demanded, "go now." Then he hung up.
"Okay, so how do we get him out without people noticing?" Isaac asked.
"I'll distract anyone that comes this way," Melissa said before stepping out of the room to scan the area.
"Alright, Isaac, grab the other side," Scott told the beta as he grabbed Jackson's top side, "Delilah, just keep watch."
Said girl nodded. "Got it."
Once Melissa gave them the 'okay', the three teenagers scurried to the stairs. Delilah led the way as the boys carefully carried Jackson down the steps. They went through the back of the hospital and started heading towards the parking lot.
"Wait, wait," Delilah whispered, holding her hand up to stop them as she saw a few people walk by. She waited until they were out of sight. "Okay, all clear. Go, go, go, go."
She let Scott and Isaac run ahead of her as she pulled her car keys out so they could make this quick. But then Scott dropped his half of the body with a hard thud. All of their eyes widened in horror.
"Scott!" Delilah exclaimed.
"It was an accident!" he said, already bending down to pick up Jackson.
A car pulled up from behind him, halting his movements as the headlights shone on their faces. Getting out of the car was a man Delilah had never seen before, which seemed to be a common theme for the night. But going off the surprised look on Scott's face, it definitely wasn't someone he was expecting to see. It had to be Chris Argent, Allison's father.
"You're alone," Scott pointed out.
"More than you know," Chris said.
"What do you want?"
"We don't have much in common, Scott. But at the moment, we have a common enemy."
"That's why I'm trying to get him out of here," Scott told Chris.
"I didn't mean Jackson." The hunter sighed sadly. "Ever since her mom died, Gerard has twisted his way into Allison's head, the same way he did with Kate. And I'm losing her. And I know you're losing her too."
"You're right," Scott said, "So can you trust me to fix this?" Chris slowly nodded. "Then can you let us go?"
"No."
Crap.
"My car's faster."
Oh. Alright then.
And that's how all of them ended up driving with Chris with Scott in the passengers seat and Isaac and Delilah were in the back. She was in between her boyfriend and Jackson, which was very unsettling for her. Every time the bag would move, Delilah would flinch and practically end up in Isaac's lap. Not that he necessarily minded so he just had her stay on top of him and he held onto her to keep her steady. They eventually arrived at the iron works downtown where they were supposed to meet up with Derek and Anabelle.
"I think he stopped moving," Isaac said as he stared at the body bag when he got out of the car.
"Is that a good thing or bad thing at this point?" Delilah asked him.
Sighing, Isaac answered, "I'm not really sure."
"Great," Delilah said sarcastically.
"Where's Derek?" Chris asked.
Right on cue, they saw the alpha sprinting towards them. But he was on all fours like he was an actual wolf. It was so ridiculous that Delilah had to refrain from laughing. A small one came out and she covered her mouth before it could get worse. Derek then flipped over Chris's car and landed in a crouch. When he lifted his head up, his eyes flashed red.
Anabelle then walked up and stood next to him with her arms crossed. "I thought I was supposed to be the dramatic one here," Anabelle said when she stood next to him. Derek rolled his own eyes and stood up straight. The she-wolf glared at the hunter. "What's he doing here?"
"I'm here for Jackson," Chris told them, "Not you two."
"Somehow I don't find that comforting," Derek said. He nodded towards the building. "Get him inside."
Scott and Isaac got Jackson out of the car and carried him into the building with everyone else following them. They set him down on the floor and surrounded him.
"Where are they?" Scott asked.
"Who?" Derek asked.
"Peter and Lydia." Derek didn't answer. Instead he looked at Anabelle, who hesitantly nodded her head. He then stood over Jackson and started unzipping the bag. "Whoa, hold on a second. You said you knew how to save him."
"We're past that," Derek told him.
The teen wolf turned to Anabelle. "You're actually gonna let him do this?"
"Scott, you know I normally wouldn't," Anabelle said apologetically, "I can't explain it but I have to stand by him."
"What about-"
"Think about it, Scott," Derek said, "Gerard controls him now. He's turned Jackson into his own personal guard dog. And he set all of this in motion so that Jackson could get even bigger and more powerful."
It seemed like Chris didn't want to believe that. "No. No, he wouldn't do that. If Jackson's a dog, he's turning rabid, and my father wouldn't let a rabid dog live."
"Of course not."
They all turned towards the voice at the entrance of the building and saw Gerard standing there. Based off the sly smirk on his face, everything was going according to plan.
"Anything that dangerous, that out of control… is better off dead."
Derek raised his claws to slash Jackson's throat but the kanima was now conscious and stabbed his own claws into the alpha's stomach. Everyone stared in horror as he was raised in the air, possibly dying. Jackson then threw Derek, making him crash into Anabelle, and sending them both flying through the plastic flaps into the other room of the building.
"Well done to the last, Scott," Gerard said, "Like the concerned friend you are, you brought Jackson to Derek to save him. You just didn't realize that you were also bringing Derek to me."
An arrow suddenly whizzed by, stabbing Isaac in the shoulder and he fell on the floor.
"Isaac!" Delilah yelled. She rushed over to her love and helped him up. "Scott, help me!"
After getting over the shock of seeing Allison there on her grandfather's side, Scott threw Isaac's other arm around his shoulders and helped take him to the other side of the building. Chris stayed put to shoot at Jackson who was soon fully becoming the kanima.
Delilah lowered Isaac onto the floor so he could lean against a crate. She yanked the arrow out of his shoulder, making him cry out at the pain. He shook his head when he saw Delilah was getting ready to use her healing powers on him.
"No, baby, don't," he said, "I'm already healing, don't waste your energy on me."
"I'm still gonna kill that bitch," Delilah growled out.
"Now who's the real killer here?" Isaac joked, groaning when pain shot through his shoulder.
"Yeah, now's probably not the time to make jokes," Delilah told him, playfully rolling her eyes.
Suddenly Chris had landed on the floor from being thrown by the kanima. It let out a loud roar, daring anyone else to come at it. The challenge was accepted when Derek and Anabelle, who had shifted into the white wolf, jumped over a crate and growled at it. Scott, Isaac, and Delilah shifted as well, all ready to fight.
The kanima went for Derek first. It swiped at him but he was quick to block its arm and he punched it in the face. This didn't seem to phase the kanima. Instead it scratched Derek's chest, making him fall back. Scott and Anabelle came behind it, the teen stabbing its back while the white wolf bit down on its tail. Screeching, the kanima threw them off of it. Now it was Isaac's turn to fight. He grabbed its neck and tried to choke it out, but of course the kanima pushed his hands away and pushed him so hard that he flew back into plywood.
Delilah scratched the kanima's Achilles heel in attempt to make it fall. It did and the hybrid straddled it so she could go for the neck. But it headbutted her, making her fall back and it dominate her. It tried to swipe her neck but Derek jumped down from a railing and hit its back. It fell off of Delilah and stood up to face the alpha. He swung at it and it caught his arm. When it tried to pull him down, Derek just used this to flip off a piece of metal. He tried to swing for a second time but the kanima grabbed his shirt and threw him against the metal, making him hit his back hard and fall down. Scott kicked its back and it kicked his chest even harder. Derek had crouched down so Anabelle could run off him and pounce on the kanima. She sunk her claws into its skin and it hissed loudly. She tried to grip onto its neck with her teeth but it was able to throw her off of itself and at that same metal with ease.
Derek grew even angrier when Anabelle didn't get up right away. So he went to attack again. Like always, the kanima was faster and it slashed his stomach again. This made the alpha stumble and fall. Isaac watched this and he got up to protect his alpha. But then he was met with Allison, who then stabbed him in the stomach with her daggers. He swung at her but she ducked and hit his wound. When he doubled over, Allison stepped behind him and stabbed his back. He fell down.
"Isaac!" Delilah screamed.
Allison began to charge at Derek, who was still lying on the floor with Anabelle standing over him. The white wolf growled as the huntress twirled her daggers and came at them.
"No, Allison!" Scott yelled. But it fell on deaf ears as Allison seemed to have tunnel vision and was ready to kill.
Delilah couldn't just stand there. So she let out a roar before sprinting and jumping on Allison's back. They both fell onto the floor with Allison quickly getting on top of her. She slashed at Delilah's chest but this didn't phase the hybrid. Instead she backhanded Allison's face and she fell off of her. They both got up and started attacking each other again. Delilah flipped over Allison and kicked her in the back, making her fall again. The hybrid grabbed the back of Allison's hair.
"This is for going after Isaac, you bitch," Delilah growled.
She was about to punch the huntress when she suddenly got cut in the back of her neck. All of the feeling in her body vanished and she collapsed. Her violet eyes widened as she saw the kanima holding Allison up by her neck. Isaac used this to crawl over to Delilah and hold her.
"I got you, baby," he told her.
"Not yet, sweetheart," Gerard said to Allison as he appeared from the shadows.
"What are you doing?" Allison breathed out.
"He's doing what he came here to do," Scott said in realization.
This seemed to surprise Gerard. "Then you know."
"What's he talking about?" Allison asked her grandfather.
His attention turned back to Scott. "It was the night outside the hospital, wasn't it, when I threatened your mother. I knew I saw something in your eyes. You could just smell it, couldn't you?"
"He's dying," Isaac realized after he caught Gerard's scent. Delilah's eyes widened as she looked at the old man.
"I am," Gerard confirmed, "I have been for a while now. Unfortunately, science doesn't have a cure for cancer yet. But the supernatural does." He nodded at Delilah. "I was even going to get your caladrius to cure me, but I figured using the kanima would be much more… effective." This made Isaac hold his love closer to him.
"You monster," Chris seethed.
"Not yet," the eldest Argent smirked.
"What are you doing?" Allison cried out. With one look from her grandfather, the kanima squeezed her neck tighter.
"You'll kill her too?" Chris asked in disgust.
"When it comes to survival, I'd kill my own son!" Gerard told him. He looked at the teen wolf. "Scott."
The boy looked around the room as he debated what the right move would be. Everyone watched in fear when he slowly walked towards Derek. Anabelle whimpered and tried to shield her best friend as much as she could. Scott looked at her and mouthed that he was sorry as he knew about their bond. But that still didn't stop him from digging his claws into the back of Derek's neck and making him stand up.
"Scott, don't," Derek begged, growling, "You know that he's gonna kill me right after. And if I die, Anabelle dies too. He'll be an alpha."
"That's true," Gerard admitted, "But I think he already knows that, don't you, Scott? He knows that the ultimate prize is Allison. Do this small task for me, and they can be together. You are the only piece that doesn't fit, Derek. And in case you haven't learned yet, there is just no competing with young love." He took off his jacket.
"Scott, don't!" Derek growled, "Don't!"
"I'm sorry," Scott said, "But I have to."
He yanked Derek's head back, making his mouth open wide. Everybody watched as Gerard lowered his bare arm into Derek's mouth. His fangs sank into the old man's arm and he yelled out. When Gerard drew his arm away, Derek fell back onto the floor and Anabelle was right back by his side. Gerard held his arm up, admiring the bite mark like it was his prized possession. He then actually started laughing. At this point Delilah was absolutely terrified. Nothing good could come from this.
Then the strangest thing happened. Black blood trickled down his arm. Gerard noticed everyone staring at him weirdly.
"What?" he asked. He looked back down at his arm and noticed the blood. "What is this? What did you do?"
"Everyone always said Gerard had a plan," Scott said, "I had a plan too."
Gerard pulled a small case out of his pocket and opened it to reveal his blue and white pills. He dumped them onto his hand. "No. No." Angrily, he curled his fist and crushed the pills. Black smoke appeared. "Mountain ash!"
He fell onto his knees as black blood ran down his nose, mouth, and eyes. When he tilted his head back, even more blood projected from his mouth. Delilah buried her head into Isaac's chest as she couldn't bear to watch anymore. He then toppled over. He wasn't dead yet, but the hybrid would be surprised if he managed to live after all of that.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Derek asked Scott.
"Because you might be an alpha," Scott told him, "but you're not mine."
Suddenly, Gerard pushed himself up. He spat out more blood. "Kill them! Kill them all!" He then fell, presumably finally dead.
The kanima finally removed his hand from Allison's neck. She elbowed it in the face and it just pushed her down. Suddenly, a blue jeep containing Stiles, Natalie, Lydia, and Natalie's younger brother Zach, drove straight through the building and crashed into the kanima, knocking it over. Stiles opened his eyes.
"Did I get him?" he asked. Scott chuckled.
"Oh, nice going, Stiles!" Zach exclaimed, "Now he's dead!"
"Hey, once you get your license in two years then you can question my driving skills," Stiles snapped back.
Then the two started bickering. Natalie tried to get them to shut up when the kanima jumped on the hood of the jeep, making everyone stop. It hissed at them and everyone screamed and scrambled out of the car. Stiles, Natalie, and Zach ran over to Scott but Lydia stayed standing next to the jeep.
"Jackson!" she exclaimed to try to get his attention, "Jackson."
"Lydia!" Zach yelled, trying to get to her.
But Scott stopped him. "Wait."
Just as the kanima raised its claws to swipe, it noticed Lydia holding up a key. But what everyone didn't know that it was actually the key Jackson had given to her to his house back when they were together. The kanima eyed the object curiously. Nobody really understood what was happening, but whatever it was actually seemed to be working. Jackson was finally starting to turn back into himself. He took the key from Lydia and stared at her like she was with him. He then started backing up slowly.
Derek locked eyes with Peter, who had been hiding in the background this entire time, and they both ran towards Jackson. They stabbed his claws into him, Derek at his stomach and Peter from his back. Lydia gasped as she saw the boy she loved being raised in the air, choking on his own blood. She wanted to run towards him but her eyes widened when the white wolf stood in front of her. Seeing an actual wolf seemed to scare the girl, but Anabelle just nodded her head to let her know that this was supposed to happen.
The werewolves holding Jackson up retracted their claws, letting him down. Anabelle finally stepped aside and let Lydia run towards Jackson to catch him.
"Do you…" Jackson choked out, "Do you still-"
"I do," Lydia cried, nodding her head, "I do still love you. I do, I do still love you. I do. I do. I do still love you, I do."
Jackson slowly leaned towards Lydia, his head resting on her shoulder as he finally passed away. The poor girl was now sobbing over the loss. Her emotion was too strong for Delilah and the caladrius side of her began to cry with her. She cried into Isaac's neck and he kissed her forehead. They both began to imagine what would happen if they both lost each other. They prayed to God they would never have to feel that same pain.
Once Lydia laid Jackson to rest, he had fully shifted back into his normal self. She stood up and faced everyone with teary eyes. Now what was she to do without the boy she fell in love with? Natalie was about to go comfort her friend when everyone looked down at Jackson in shock.
His long claws scraped along the cement floor, drawing Lydia's attention to him. His eyes snapped open, the same electric blue as Derek and Anabelle's. Slowly, Jackson stood up with his back hunched over. Once his back was straightened and head tilted back, his face had become one of a werewolf. He flashed his claws and roared at the sky.
As soon as Jackson shifted back into his human self, Lydia threw herself at him and he caught her. They embraced each other, letting each other know that the love was still there.
At this point the paralysis had worn off of Delilah. Isaac helped her stand. They then were finally able to fully hold each other. He kissed the corner of her mouth as she buried her fingers in his hair.
"I love you so much," Isaac whispered in her ear, "I love you. I love you."
"I love you to the moon and back, Isaac," she responded.
A week had passed since that night. Delilah was sitting in the passenger seat with Deaton driving. She watched the trees and houses pass by when she looked out her window. The smile on her face was small, but enough to make the veterinarian smile as well as today was the first day of their new lives as adoptive father and daughter.
Deaton pulled into his driveway. This was the first time Delilah had seen her new house. It was small and quaint, but perfect. The trunk was popped open when they got out of the car, revealing boxes of Delilah's things. They each grabbed a box and walked up the porch. Deaton unlocked the door and moved out of the way so the hybrid could step in first.
The smile only grew wider when she took in her surroundings. There wasn't anything too special about the place, but that didn't deter Delilah's excitement. It was a symbol of a fresh start, a new beginning. No more yelling, no more hitting, no more cutting, no more nightmares. Today was the first day of a real chance to have a happy home… a loving father.
Not able to contain herself, Delilah placed the box on the counter closest to her and hugged Deaton. It caught him off guard slightly, but he quickly embraced the gesture and hugged her back with a smile that matched hers.
"Welcome home, Delilah."
Later on, Isaac and Delilah were riding with Derek, Anabelle, and Peter in the Camaro. Derek stopped the car once they got to the front of the old Hale and Fierro house. They got out of the car and walked up to the house to see some sort of symbol etched on the front of the door.
"You haven't told him everything yet, have you?" Peter asked Derek and Anabelle.
"We haven't gotten to it quite yet," the she-wolf told him.
"What do you mean?" Isaac asked.
"Why do you think Derek was in such a hurry to build his pack?," Peter said to the teenagers, "So eager to strengthen his power and his number? When there's a new alpha, people take notice."
"People like who?"
Delilah walked up the front porch as she stared at the door. "What is this?" she asked, "What does this mean?"
"It's their symbol," Derek explained, "And it means they're coming."
"Who?"
"Alphas," Anabelle answered.
"More than one?" Isaac questioned.
"A pack of them," Derek specified.
"An alpha pack," Peter said, stepping forward, "And they're not coming. They're already here."
And that concludes season 2! Season 3 is going to be an even more emotional one for Isaac and Delilah and you're not gonna want to miss out! PLEASE review and read the other two stories in the saga as well. I'll be sure to update soon! Xoxo, Maddie
