I have to say, I really love this chapter! I wanted to put in something sweet and fluffy before things start to get dramatic in season 3A. So I hope you enjoy!

Pretty much all of Delilah's old house had been cleared out. Everything that had not gone with her to Deaton's house was either sent to a local homeless shelter or thrown in the garbage. It was a lot of hard work to get everything out, but Delilah was fortunate enough to have a lot of good help with her. Isaac, Deaton, and Anabelle had donated their time to help the hybrid clean and get settled into her new home. Even Derek pitched in a couple of times, which definitely caught everyone off guard. But Anabelle probably forced him to do so, and everyone besides her knew that he couldn't say no to her.
There was just one more room in the house that needed to be taken care of- the basement. Delilah had never actually went down there before. It was the only room she wasn't allowed to step foot in when Lawrence was around. Gloria was also adamant on letting her daughter go in there. It was almost funny to Isaac- the one room Delilah wasn't allowed to go into was the one room in his old house that he seemed to see the most of.
Deciding to take care of the basement themselves, Delilah and Isaac were currently going through the old and dusty boxes stacked on top of each other. Isaac even kept a broom in one hand, ready to whack away any spiders that decided to crawl out. It was quite amusing to Delilah.
"Don't tell me that you're actually afraid of spiders," she teased when they first entered the basement.
"I'm not," Isaac scoffed, "I just want to protect my girlfriend, that's all."
"Oh, I'm fine. But you might wanna watch out for that daddy long leg coming your way."
Isaac was quick to slam down the broom, making Delilah laugh at his reaction. He glared at her, but she just kissed his cheek and called him her hero. That was enough to make him focus on the task at hand.
When they went to work, Delilah was on her knees looking through some beaten up novels that had to be her mother's while Isaac was going through some antiques.
"I'm still not sure why they never let me come in here," Delilah said as she tossed an old copy of The Scarlet Letter in the box labeled DONATION, "There's nothing in here but a bunch of junk."
"No kidding," Isaac agreed, holding up a stuffed toy dog, "Like, what secret were they trying to keep with this thing?" He accidentally pressed on its foot and it started singing and dancing, making him jump slightly. He quickly pressed the foot again to make it stop. "Other than the fact that it's loud and obnoxious as hell."
Giggling, Delilah said, "You can just throw that in the DONATION box, baby."
"Oh, thank god," Isaac sighed, not hesitating to do so.
"There's honestly probably nothing in here worth keeping," Delilah said after about an hour of searching. She stood up and brushed the dust off her legs, "Maybe we should just get rid of all of it."
"Are you sure you don't want anything?" her love asked her, "There's probably some stuff from when you were little."
"Yeah, and besides, my mom would have thrown it all out. It's probably best if I don't keep anything that reminds me of this place anyway."
After taking a couple steps towards Isaac, Delilah tripped on a box. It was flipped onto its side and all of its contents spilled out. Delilah grumbled to herself as she went back onto her knees to pick everything up. Then she read the side of the box that was written in sharpie- PHOTOS.
"Hmm," she hummed to herself as she picked up the first item, "Interesting."
"What'd you find, baby?" Isaac asked.
"Photos. That's weird. Besides the ones that were in my room, I've never seen any other pictures in this house."
"Yeah, I've noticed that too." Isaac abandoned the boxes he was looking through to sit next to his love. "What are they of?"
"Mostly me as a kid," Delilah answered, looking at a photo of herself from when she was maybe two years old. The big present set in front of her and the tree behind indicated that it was Christmas. "Look."
"Oh my god," Isaac smiled awestruck as he took the photo from Delilah, "Please let me keep this one."
The hybrid raised an eyebrow. "Really?"
"Yes," Isaac said, already tucking it in his pocket, "And if I see anymore that I like, I'm keeping those too."
"If there are even more."
Next was Delilah, seven in this one, with an older woman. In this picture, the little girl was sitting on the older woman's lap. She had a party hat that was a little too big on her sitting on the top of her head and was blowing a candle out on a cupcake. It was safe to assume that it was her birthday.
"Is that your grandma?" Isaac asked, pointing at the woman.
"Yeah." Delilah smiled fondly at the memory of her. "She was amazing."
"You look just like her," Isaac pointed out, "More than your mom, actually."
"Maybe she was from different side of my mom's family," Delilah said. She clarified when Isaac looked confused. "She wasn't my mom's mom."
"Ah. Maybe your dad's?"
"Who knows?" Delilah sighed, "I really don't know much about any other relatives. I don't even remember playing with any cousins as a kid. I was practically trapped here."
Isaac kissed her forehead apologetically, which Delilah appreciated. She didn't want to get too wrapped up in her memories. Not when the bad outweighed the very few good. And she didn't want to feel sorry for herself anymore. That's why she had to push herself to even come back here. Delilah was ready for a fresh start in her new home, her new life. And now her new family. She was perfectly content.
Delilah was about to put everything back into the box until she saw something lavender poking out from underneath everything else. It's was probably nothing. But curiosity overcame her. And now that Lawrence was dead and her mom wasn't around, who was to punish her for being nosy now? So Delilah pulled out what turned out to be an envelope. An envelope that had her name written on the front.
"What's that?" Isaac asked, resting his chin on her shoulder.
"I… I don't know," Delilah replied. Her mind debated on whether she should push it even further or leave things a mystery. Isaac noticed this. "Maybe I shouldn't open this."
"Delilah," Isaac said, "It has your name on it. It's clearly for you. Do you want to know what's in it?"
"Kind of… okay, yes. I do."
"Then open it."
The hesitance was still evident on her face, but Isaac was right. This was meant for her. She was free to do with it as she pleased. And god damn it, Delilah wanted to know what was in it. Taking a deep breath, she ripped the envelope with her claw like it was a built-in letter opener and took out a folded piece of paper and a photo. She decided read the letter first. Isaac wrapped her arms around her and she leaned back against his chest as she read out loud.
"'Delilah, my precious little girl. You might not remember me. Chances are you may never even get the opportunity to see this. But on the off chance that you do, I just want to let you know that I have never stopped thinking about you. I don't know how much you know about why I have left, but it was not because I didn't love you. None of this has been your fault, I really hope you don't think otherwise. Maybe one day you will understand. I loved you from the moment you were born. That has never changed. I am so sorry I was not there to watch you grow up. To be the brilliant young woman I always knew you would be. Even at such a young age, you always had these bright dreams and imaginations. I hope that has never changed too. I hope your light has never dimmed and that you continued to shine over the years. One day I will come back. I don't know when and I don't know how. But I will be there. And I pray that I could make up for lost time. I love you always. Daddy.'"
A lump formed in Delilah's throat by the time she read the last word, which was blaring in her brain like an alarm. She felt Isaac rubbed her waist supportively as he figured this was a lot for her to take in. Which indeed, it was. But Delilah wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. Swallowing down that uncomfortable lump, she finally decided to finally stop putting off taking a look at photo that was inside the envelope as well.
In this photo was a young man with light brown hair and piercing green eyes that resembled Delilah's exactly. Even their smiles matched as it showed in the picture. She had to have been three years old, which was around the same time she knew her dad left her and her mom. But the longer Delilah stared at the man and her toddler self, she was able to see the crow's feet at the corner of his eyes from smiling so wide. She appeared to be laughing as the man held her. Their eyes were locked on each other, nothing but love and joy in them. The hybrid never saw any pictures of her and Gloria like that. When she flipped the photo over, all that was written was Craig and Delilah, 1998.
All her life she was afraid to ask about her estranged father. Gloria had never given her information on him. Rarely Delilah would hear her mom grumble how much of a 'douchebag' her dad was. But that picture did not send those vibes to her. He looked kind, gentle, loving. Even for a nineteen year old father. Delilah still couldn't believe this. This was the only thing she now had of the man she was always told to hate. Was this man deserving of that hate? Then again, Delilah still knew nothing about him. Only what was written in the letter addressed to her. Just that he did love his daughter.
"Baby?" She forgot that Isaac was there for a second. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," Delilah said, still staring at the photo, "I'm fine. I'm fine."
The beta wasn't sure if that was true. "Would you ever want to look for him?"
Did she want to know more about her father? Did she long for that reunion? Was she willing to accept this strange man into her life and take him on as the father she needed when she was a little girl? The father she still needed?
"No." Delilah placed the letter and photo back in the envelope and tossed it back in the box. "Why would I want to look for him? I have you, Deaton, the pack. That's all I really need. All looking for him would do is just mess everything up."
Her words may have sounded confident, but it was her solemn expression that gave her away. All that letter did was leave her with more questions than answers. She may never get any closure from her father. Of course she was happy with her life right now. But she couldn't understand why it felt like something was still missing. Delilah should not have opened that letter.
Isaac knew his love was feeling conflicted, she didn't need to tell her. Sometimes he knew her better than she knew herself. There had to be something to do to fix that, or at least distract her. So he grabbed the box of photos and set it next to everything else they were planning on throwing out.
"Let's go on a date tonight," he said, "A real date. You and me. Just like how it used to be."
That already seemed to brighten Delilah up. "Really?"
"Yeah. We'll do anything you want tonight. Even if you just want to stay inside. Anything that makes you happy."
"Actually… there is somewhere I want to go," Delilah told him after pondering it over, "But I'll keep that a surprise. Let's just finish getting this sorted out and then we can be out of this place for good."
"Sounds like a plan," Isaac smiled.
They kissed each other softly before returning to their work. When Delilah wasn't looking, Isaac grabbed that purple envelope and tucked it into his back pocket, making sure it wasn't sticking out. Then they each grabbed their first box as they started to take everything down to her car to finally be rid of it all.
The weather was nice out that night. Since it wasn't too cold like Beacon Hills was used to, Delilah opted for a blue sundress with a white flower pattern and white Vans for their date, still unknown to Isaac what exactly that was. But what he did know that she looked incredibly beautiful, just the very first date they had together a few months back. He even decided to dress up a little himself with a dark grey button up shirt that was open with a black v-neck underneath. He paired those with some dark jeans and black sneakers. Of course he was just as handsome as always, never failing to make Delilah swoon. Especially when he rolled up his sleeves to his elbow. She didn't know why but it always made her drool to see his strong arms out in the open.
As Delilah drove further through the town, Isaac became even more confused on where she was taking him. He wasn't sure they were even in Beacon Hills anymore. And Delilah wasn't giving him any hints on what they were doing. All she kept saying was that she was in charge. Isaac actually found that to be pretty hot. Who didn't like a beautiful girl taking control? There was also a gleam in her eye as she drove, indicating that wherever they were going made her very excited. It was adorable to see her geek out over anything.
Even as she pulled up to what looked like the local college's theater.
"I know I said I like seeing you take a walk on the wild side," Isaac said as his girlfriend lead him towards the back door of the building, "but I think we might be crossing the borderline of illegal here."
"But is it illegal even if you have a key?" Delilah asked, holding up said object with a sly smile.
"Okay, I'm still confused, but I find your rebellion to be very sexy," Isaac smirked.
"What can I say? I learned from the best." The hybrid shot her boyfriend a flirty wink before unlocking the door. She held her hand out to him. "Come on."
She led Isaac throughout the dark theater, telling him to watch his step every so often. All of the lights were off so occasionally they would bump into something but they just laughed it off. Then Delilah seemed to have led him into the auditorium. When she pull Isaac up onto the stage with her, he was so lost. What did this angelic girl have in mind for them tonight?
Telling Isaac to wait there, Delilah ran off to the wings to do who knows what. Then suddenly the stage lights turned on, bright as hell and making Isaac shield his eyes. He turned his head and saw Delilah sauntering back onto the stage towards him with her hands behind her back.
"This is where the studio I go to has our annual dance recitals," she finally explained, "We have one every August. This year will be my eleventh one."
The beta let out a low whistle. "And the dancing queen's still going on strong. So why are we here?"
"Well, you said we could do whatever I wanted tonight." Delilah typed something on her phone. "And tonight-"
I found a love for me
Darling just dive right in
And follow my lead
Well, I found a girl beautiful and sweet
Well, I never knew you were the someone waiting for me
Delilah set her phone down at the edge of the stage and looked up at Isaac with those sweet green eyes. "I wanna dance with you."
Chuckling softly, Isaac said, "I don't think you'll ever get tired of doing that."
"Probably not," Delilah agreed, "It's my favorite. Well, second favorite."
"The first one being…"
"You, of course!" The hybrid laughed as she playfully shoved Isaac's shoulder.
"I know," he laughed along with her, "I just like hearing you say it."
Cause we were just kids when we fell in love
Not knowing what it was
I will not give you up this time
Darling, just kiss me slow, your heart is all I own
And in your eyes you're holding mine
"May I have this dance, Isaac Lahey?" Delilah asked, holding out her hand to him.
He took it in his. "It would be my honor, Delilah Lambert."
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, we're listening to our favorite song
When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight
"I gotta be honest with you though," Isaac told her, "I'm still not the best dancer. At least when it comes to slow dancing."
"That's okay," Delilah smiled, pulling him closer, "I'll lead the way."
She placed Isaac's hand on her waist and lifted his other one so she could hold it. Then she put her other hand on his shoulder. Together they swayed to the rhythm of the song playing through the speakers.
"Look at you," Delilah said, "And you said you weren't any good. You're a natural."
"Well it helps to have an amazing dance partner," Isaac chuckled, "You just have a knack for making me look better."
"You know what I think? I think we both lift each other up."
"I couldn't agree more."
Well I found a woman, stronger than anyone I know
She shares my dreams, I hope that someday I'll share her home
I found a lover, to carry more than just my secrets
To carry love, to carry children of our own
We are still kids, but we're so in love
Fighting against all odds
I know we'll be alright this time
Darling, just hold my hand
Be my girl, I'll be your man
I see my future in your eyes
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, we're listening to our favorite song
When I saw you in that dress, looking so beautiful
I don't deserve this, darling, you look perfect tonight
Both of their smiles grew throughout their dance. It didn't take too long for Isaac to become more confidence in his footwork before he started twirling Delilah and spinning her out then back in towards him. He even dipped her once, making her throw her head back and laugh as she gripped his strong biceps. He laughed along with her while taking in this rare but unforgettable moment he gets to share with the love of his life.
Nothing else mattered as the young lovers danced with each other. For just one night, they weren't werewolves or caladriuses. They were just two teenagers that were helplessly in love with each other. Who knew when they were going to have another moment with each other like this in their new world? Everything might have settled down just a bit for now, but they knew there was more to come. Two of their pack members were still missing and now there was a threat from another pack. One entirely made up of alphas to make matters worse. They should be preparing and searching. There was no time to waste.
Tonight they were able to forget all of that before they returned to reality the next day. Just as long they got to hold each other in their arms, that was more than enough to get through whatever turmoils were on their way. So tonight, they were just going to dance, kiss, and love.
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms
We're barefoot on the grass, we're listening to our favorite song
I have faith in what I see
Now I know I have met an angel in person
And she looks perfect
I don't deserve this
You look perfect tonight
As the cello in the song began to fade, Isaac crooked his finger under Delilah's chin to tilt her head up. He kissed her sweetly and she just about melted in his touch. This night really was truly special. Only one more thing could make this perfect.
"There was something else I wanted to do tonight," Delilah whispered against Isaac's lips.
He let her pull him off the stage and into the wings. She kept his hand in hers as she led him backstage in what looked like a prop room. Against the back wall in that room was a couch that must have been used for whatever shows the college put on. Isaac wasn't sure what the significance of that couch was until he heard Delilah's heartbeat accelerate. Once those green orbs stared up at him, Isaac knew exactly what his love wanted.
"You sure about this, baby?" he asked her.
"More than I have been about anything," Delilah said, "I'm ready to try again."
Of course Isaac was hesitant. They haven't tried to do anything sexual since Delilah kicked Isaac away because of her PTSD. They had wanted to, but Isaac never pushed her and wanted her to feel completely comfortable with him again. What Delilah wanted and needed was always his priority. And Delilah really wanted this. She really wanted him again. Who was he to deny her of that?
"If you need me to stop," Isaac told her, "If anything becomes too much-"
Delilah cut him off with a kiss. "I trust you. Please, Isaac…"
Ready to grant her wish, the beta captured her lips, both hands on each side of her face. Delilah ran her hands up his chest towards the base of her neck. Her body pressed against his so firmly like she was trying to make them to become one person. One of Isaac's hands traveled down from Delilah's cheek to the back of her dress where he found the zipper. Slowly, almost teasingly, he unzipped her dress. Delilah slid her arms out of the holes so the dress could fall onto the floor. Minus her cotton panties, she was bare for Isaac. Always a sight for sore eyes. As much as the wolf in Isaac wanted to devour this angel in front of him, what mattered more was her own pleasure and comfort. So he was going to take his time with her.
He pulled off his grey button-up followed by his black v-neck as Delilah kicked off her shoes. She might have seen him shirtless a numerous amount of times, but every time just seemed to render her speechless. As he was a Greek statue that she was forbidden to touch, she lightly ran her fingertips over his pecs, making him shiver. Isaac instructed her to sit on the couch and she obeyed. Kneeling in front of her, he rubbed her baby soft thighs, each time getting just a bit closer to where Delilah had been longing for him to touch her. Isaac leaned in to kiss her lips, then down her neck where he nipped the base slightly, and then to the swell of her breast. Delilah's breath hitched as he put his attention on her nipple, licking and sucking until it harden, which was easy to do. Her fingers entangled in his golden curls as he continued his loving attack before switching to the other breast.
But he didn't spend too much time on that. Isaac rested his hands on her hips and traced his fingers on the seam of her panties. "Is this okay?"
"Yes," Delilah nodded, "it's okay."
Accepting her invitation, Isaac slowly pulled her panties down her legs, Delilah shifting her hips to help him. He parted her legs to see her center slick with her excitement. At least he could still turn her on. That was a good sign. Isaac peppered kisses along one thigh, switching over to the other one as soon as he got too close to her center. He could hear Delilah whimper above him and he immediately became concerned. But when he looked up at her, her eyes showed nothing but bliss, indicating that she was doing good. More than good.
It was when Isaac started licking at her Delilah started to tense up a bit and squeeze her eyes shut. However he was quick to sense this and he took both of her hands to anchor her. That seemed to help a bit. Isaac waited until she relaxed from his hands before diving back into her soaked area. Delilah allowed herself to rest her head against the couch and moan at the sweet pleasure she was receiving. One of her hands let go of Isaac and she threaded her fingers in his hair to bring him closer. This made him smirk against her. He flicked the tip of his tongue against her clit.
"Ohh, Isaac," Delilah moaned, "Oh, baby… I missed this so much."
"I missed it too, beautiful," Isaac replied, his warmth breath against his girl's aching core and making her gasp.
Slowly, he inserted a finger inside of her and began to pump it in and out of her when he was sure that it was okay. Delilah tried her hardest to not buck her hips up but when that finger curled upward in a certain way, her hips seemed to have a mind of their own. They moved up and down like she was fucking herself on the appendage. Seeing her finally let herself overcoming her trauma was such a gorgeous view. All Isaac wanted was for Delilah to see that she wasn't ruined. She could do anything and she was not those horrible things her deceased stepfather made her to believe.
Just as she was on the brink of her orgasm, Delilah stopped Isaac's hand from fingering her any further. He was about to ask what was wrong when she pulled him up and made him stand in front of her. She unbuckled his belt and unzipped his jeans. When she pulled his jeans along with his boxers down, Isaac stopped her.
"Baby, you really don't have to do-"
"I want to," Delilah told him, sincerity in her eyes, "I promise."
That was all she gave him before she started stroking up and down his aching member. Isaac groaned from the soft pressure of the hybrid's hand whenever to got to the base of his dick. Delilah then took almost the whole in her mouth, making Isaac let the most guttural moan that made her clench her thighs together so she could apply some pressure on her clit.
"God, Delilah. You're so fucking incredible, baby. I love you so much."
She hummed at the approval which only made Isaac's eyes roll back from the vibration. But he didn't let her suck him off for too long. He wanted this night to be about her. So he told her to lay down and he lowered himself on top of her, being careful not to crush her. Cerulean eyes staring deep into emerald, Isaac tucked one of Delilah's loose tendrils behind her ear.
"How are you doing so far, baby?" he asked her.
"So far I feel good," Delilah answered honestly, "I don't feel as anxious." She held up her hands. They were still a little jittery, but nowhere near as bad as they were when they first started. "Yeah, I think I'm doing okay."
"Do you want to keep going?" Isaac asked, "Don't worry about pleasing me, Delilah. I don't want to push any limits. We can stop at any time you want."
"No, I'm ready for this," Delilah reassured him, "I think just doing this with you is how I'll heal. I love you, Isaac. I trust you with all my heart. With you, I can get through this."
Isaac kissed her cheek. "I love you too, Delilah."
With her permission, Isaac grabbed ahold of his dick and positioned himself at her entrance. Because it had been a good while since they've done anything like this, Delilah felt even tighter as he pushed himself inside. It was a sorely delicious stretch that had the girl squeezing her love's shoulders and moaning in his ear. She never realized how empty she was before until he was deep inside her. He was what she needed to feel somewhat complete again. Isaac didn't move just yet, he just placed kisses on Delilah's lips, not wanting to rush this for their sakes. Only when her hips started squirming did he start rolling his own into her.
His movements were slow, which Delilah absolutely loved. This is the pace she liked best because it was enough to make her crave for more and she knew Isaac was more focused on making sure she was enjoying it just as much as he was. After the nightmare she had with Lawrence, being with Isaac was like a dream. There was no villainous intentions with this boy from next door, just love. Love for her, because maybe Delilah was actually worth it after all. At least that's what Isaac kept whispering to her in between pants and kisses.
Whether it was from the affirmations or the way Isaac started thrusting into her faster and deeper, Delilah was in heaven. She buried her face into his neck, crying out at each strike against her sweet spot, building up the moment she had experienced in weeks.
"Don't stop," she begged, "Please don't stop."
"Never, baby," Isaac promised with a groan, "You're mine. You've always been mine."
That was enough to send Delilah over the edge. She let out a loud and broken moan as her walls clenched around him. Feeling her squeeze around him made Isaac's hips still as he spilled into her. He let out a low and almost animalistic growl which just made Delilah's walls flutter around him even more. Their bodies shook from their releases but the young couple just held onto each other as they were brought back down to earth.
No other words were spoken after that. They communicated how in love they were with each other just by kisses and stares. Neither of them were ready to leave this night and face the world yet. So Isaac just rested his head on Delilah's chest as she played with his damp curls. Everything was perfect… for now.
Aww, aren't they cute! The song I used is "Perfect" but the Pentatonix version. I always think of this pair when I hear this song and I love it!
PLEASE review and let me know what you think! Also please check out Awake and Alive and No One Else to read Stiles and Derek's stories. They're all so amazing and I love them all so much. I'll be sure to update soon! Xoxo, Maddie
