It's almost 3am but I am determined to update all of my stories before I go to sleep! I hope you all enjoy this chapter!

The young couple didn't stay at the riverbed for much longer after the service they had for Erica. They were both still feeling very tired from the previous day's events so they just headed back to Delilah's house and hung out there. Considering the fact that they really didn't do much during the day, it happened to pass fairly fast. Before they knew it, the moon was already starting to rise. The full moon at that.

Over the course of four months, Delilah had been getting the hang of controlling herself during the full moon. Sometimes she would still have that internal battle with her inner wolf and inner caladrius. But after the first couple times, she had the confidence to not be chained up and stopped trying to harm herself. Isaac as well was in better control of his urges. They also never spent a full moon without each other since they were each other's anchors. They didn't know what would happen if they were separated, but neither of them wanted to take that chance.

Dinner had just ended and now Isaac and Delilah were washing up the dishes. Deaton had joined them to eat after he got off work and even offered to help clean up. But both of the teenagers insisted he just relax and that they would take care of it. So after the veterinarian thanked them for cooking dinner, he retired up to his room.

While Isaac was drying the dishes and putting them away, he would steal glances at his love. Disregarding the fact that she was still in the grieving process of Erica's death, Delilah was looking a lot better. She never got sick that day, which they were both happy about. Actually, Delilah seemed to have this glow about her. Different than she normally did. It still made her look even more beautiful than she already was if that was even possible. Another thing was that her scent was different. The cinnamon smell was still there, but underneath that, there was something that was fresh and new. It was soft like lavender laundry detergent. Strange, but Isaac still liked it a lot. Even though he was curious as to why it was there. It was calming, which was perfect for this usually tense kind of night.

He didn't realize that he was now staring until Delilah looked up at him. "Is everything okay?"

Instead of using his words, Isaac just pulled her towards him so he could kiss her. Like always when she looked at him after their lips separated, Delilah gave him that dazzling smile.

"Someone's surprisingly in a good mood," she teased, "Although I hope you're not planning on doing anything tonight. I'm still not feeling too hot and I don't think it would be appropriate with Deaton here."

"Don't worry," Isaac chuckled, "We can always save that for another night."

Raising an eyebrow, Delilah asked softly, "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah, I'm great," Isaac assured her, "I just really love you. More than anything."

His love beamed. "I love you to the moon and back." She reached up on her toes to kiss him again. "I didn't know doing the dishes could make you be romantic."

"Hey, I'm always romantic," the beta laughed, "Also, I don't know why, but there's something about you doing domestic chores that's incredibly sexy to me."

"Just finish up with those dishes," Delilah giggled as she lightly smacked her boyfriend with the dish towel he was using. She then turned back to washing up.

But instead of continuing his own chore, Isaac came up behind the hybrid and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close to his chest. Delilah almost rolled her eyes at how handsy he was being but she smiled anyway and sunk into his warm body even more. It wasn't like Isaac being cuddly was exactly a new thing, but over the past month or so, whenever they weren't searching for Erica and Boyd, Isaac would find any excuse to touch her. Even sometimes when they were on a mission he would cling onto her like a koala.

And it wasn't even to insinuate sex. No, it was more like he was trying to protect hidden treasure. Especially if someone looked at Delilah for a second too long. He would give them the stink eye and draw her in impossibly closer. Whenever Delilah would question it Isaac would just shrug and tell her that he would just get the sudden urge to guard her. It was strange to the both of them, but the girl didn't mind. Neither did Isaac. How could they ever resist every chance of snuggling up to their loves?

Much to his annoyance, Isaac's display of affection was short lived when his phone rang. He groaned, making Delilah laugh. Keeping one hand resting on his girl's stomach, Isaac answered his phone. "Hello?"

"Hey, Isaac," Anabelle said from the other end, "You and Delilah feeling up to speed yet?"

The beta furrowed his eyebrows. "Kinda. Why?"

"Well, we found Boyd and Erica," Anabelle explained. She sighed sadly. "Unfortunately, Delilah was right about Erica being dead. Boyd's alive but that girl you said was in the vault with him? Well that's Derek's younger sister, Cora. Because they were trapped in the vault, they hadn't been exposed to the full moon the past few months. Tonight they escaped, and they're bloodthirsty and ready to kill. And we need to stop them before they hurt anyone."

Whoa. The young couple's eyes were wide upon hearing the update.

"That's a lot of information to take in," Isaac chuckled nervously.

"I know. But the bottom line is, we need all the help we can get. Do you kids think you're up to it?"

Isaac looked down at Delilah and she nodded. "Where are you?"

"At the preserve," Anabelle said, "I'll send you my location. Just try to get here as soon as you can."

"We will," Isaac promised. They exchanged goodbyes and hung up. He smirked. "Sounds like we're having a late date night."

Somewhere in the middle of the worlds was a couple- two young adult girls. They had a tent and a fireplace set up so they could camp there for the night. Everything was going according to plan for this night as it was the night one of the girls, Emily, would be losing her virginity. Caitlin, Emily's girlfriend, had everything set up- fake candles, lights, a romantic station on Pandora. It was perfect.

Or at least it started out to be.

While they were just about to start with their romantic evening, Emily had felt a large bug on her shoulder. Being absolutely afraid of bugs, she had run out of the tent screaming somewhere deep into the woods. Caitlin ran after her girlfriend but quickly lost her.

"Emily?" the girl called out as she searched around her, "Emily? Emily, where are you? Emily! Em?"

Getting freaked out by the darkness surrounding her, Caitlin ran back to her tent. But she still continued to yell out for her girlfriend when she got there.

"Emily, where are you? Emily!"

The sound of a bear growling made Caitlin whip her head around. But this was definitely not a bear. Instead, it was what looked to be a girl but she had pointy ears, fangs, and fur growing from her cheeks. This was a monster! And it was coming at Caitlin.

Suddenly two figures jumped out and landed in a crouch. Isaac and Delilah looked up at the other werewolf. So this must have been Cora. It was definitely not how either of them expected to meet Derek's long lost sister for the first time, but neither of them could be too surprised given what they all were. Isaac was the first to charge at Cora. Just as she went to hit him, he knocked her down. Cora roared up at him. As soon as she got up, she threw Isaac at a tree and he fell face down. Delilah came up behind the other girl and whacked the side of her head with her fist. Cora scratched her cheek and kicked the hybrid in the chest, making her fall as well.

Scott had then made his entrance, jumping over Isaac and kicking Cora to the ground. Cora growled at them, who were surrounding her along with Derek and Anabelle. The two older wolves roared at the youngest Hale and she took off running. Everyone besides Scott chased after her. He walked up to Caitlin, who flinched and took a step back. Scott raised his hands in defense, showing her that he meant no harm.

"Are you okay?" he asked her.

"What?" Caitlin replied shakily.

"Are you alright?" Scott asked again. This time Caitlin nodded in response. "You need to get out of here, okay? Get out of the woods. Get out of here as fast as you can." He then ran off to catch up with his fellow werewolves, leaving poor Caitlin in shock and wondering what the fuck was happening.

While they were waiting for Scott to finish checking on the girl at the campsite, Delilah was starting to feel a little winded. Maybe she was still a feeling a little off from the other day, but Isaac was doing fine. Why was she still woozy? This definitely wasn't a normal werewolf thing. Not like a normal werewolf thing was even a normal thing in the first place. Either way, Delilah was running out of energy and the night was just getting started. So she sat down with her back against a tree and held her crystal up to her eyes.

Isaac saw her sitting and he rushed over to her side. "You're not hurt, are you?"

"No, I'm not," Delilah promised, "I'm still just a little tired from the past few days. But I should be okay after I recharge."

"Maybe I should've just had you stay home," Isaac said, "I knew you still weren't feeling well."

"Baby, I promise you, I'm okay," Delilah told him, "I'm not going to sit out on saving Boyd and Derek's sister. I just need to charge up. That's all."

"Okay." Isaac nodded but he still didn't seem too convinced, "Just let me know if you need to go home."

"I will."

Just as Isaac kissed Delilah's forehead, Scott finally caught up with the group. He had seen that he had tons of missed calls from Stiles and Natalie so he decided to finally call them back and explain to them what was going on with Boyd and Cora. Apparently Stiles and Natalie had their own disturbing news to share. Funnily enough, it also had to do with the two rabid betas. Apparently Lydia had strangely found her way to the community pool and stumbled upon a dead body, a boy about their age. They said that his head was bashed in and that his throat was slit.

Boyd and Cora already killed someone. This was not good.

"Are you sure?" Scott asked Stiles.

"Yep," Stiles answered, everyone being able to hear him with their super hearing, "Throat ripped out, blood everywhere. It's like the frickin' shining over here. If two little twin girls come out of the woods, start asking me to play with them forever and ever, I'm not gonna be surprised."

"Can you get a little closer to make sure it was them?" Scott asked.

"Make sure it was them?" Stiles repeated in disbelief, "Scott, who else is going around ripping throats out?"

"Please just do it."

They could hear Stiles and Natalie bicker for a bit before it got silent on their end. Then Natalie confirmed that the dead boy at the pool's throat was indeed ripped out, Scott hung up the phone. Now what were they going to do?

"This doesn't make any sense," Derek said, shaking his head, "The public pool is all the way on the other side of the woods. We haven't tracked them anywhere near there."

"Derek, they killed someone," Scott reminded him.

But the alpha began to nervously ramble. "How are they moving so fast?"

"Derek."

"But they can't be that fast on foot."

"Derek!" Anabelle grabbed his hand and squeezed it. "Take a deep breath."

"They killed someone," Scott emphasized, "Some totally innocent kid is dead... And it's our fault."

A moment of silence passed. "It's my fault," Derek said.

"No, it's not," Anabelle told him softly. She spoke up. "But we need to act fast before another person ends up dead."

"We need help," Scott said.

"We have Isaac and Delilah now," Derek pointed out, nodding his head towards said teenagers.

"I mean real help."

Both the beta and hybrid looked offended. Well then. "Thanks, Scott," Delilah said sarcastically, still sitting on the ground.

"They're too fast for us," Scott explained, "for all of us. They're too strong, too rabid."

"We'll catch 'em," Derek said with determination.

"And then what?" Delilah asked, "Are we even able to hold them down until the sun rises?"

Derek sighed. "Maybe it would be easier just to kill 'em."

"No, there has to be another way," Anabelle said, determined to not let another death happen tonight.

"Killing them isn't the right thing to do," Scott agreed with the pure wolf.

"What if it's the only thing to do?" Isaac asked, "If we can't even catch them, what else do we do?"

"Find someone who knows what they're doing," Scott answered.

"Who?" Derek asked.

"Someone who knows how to hunt werewolves."

Well that could only mean one thing. Now nausea was hitting Delilah again, this time due to nerves. She held onto her stomach as she anticipated how this possibly could go wrong.

Yep. Her predictions were correct. And now she was in the back of her alpha's car with Isaac next to her and Anabelle up front with Derek. They were in the parking lot of the local supermarket, watching Scott try to convince Chris Argent to help them find Boyd and Cora. How was it going so far? Well, so far Scott has a gun aimed right in between his eyes. So… not very good.

"Do you guys think this is gonna work?" Isaac asked.

"Nope," Derek and Anabelle answered in unison.

"Me neither." Isaac kicked back in his seat and rested his head on Delilah's shoulder.

Said girl twiddled her thumbs. The silence was killing her. And her anxiety was making her feel sick and she was not about to throw up all over Derek's new car. So she spoke up.

"So… your sister seems nice." Everyone else looked at her with raised eyebrows. Delilah cleared her throat. "Sorry. I'm just trying to make conversation to focus on not puking." They all continued to stare at her. "Hey, let's just focus on what's in front of us, shall we?" She cowered in her seat.

That was awkward.

Isaac almost wanted to laugh at how adorable his girlfriend was, but then he took in how her eyes would flutter shut and then immediately snap open. This made him frown. Delilah should be at home, sleeping and recovering. But she was so persistent on staying up for this even though Isaac knew she was not okay. And he knew Delilah hadn't talked to Deaton about what was going on with her either. That girl could be so damn stubborn sometimes. Isaac wanted to just talk to her guardian himself and tell him everything but he couldn't go behind her back like that.

What he did do instead was wrap his arm around her waist and let Delilah rest her head on his bicep. His hand landed on her stomach, taking away any pain and discomfort her nausea was causing her even though she was perfectly capable of doing so herself. She reminded him of that.

"I know," Isaac whispered, "but I was thinking you could use the extra help."

Chuckling lightly, Delilah retorted, "I guess it's not so bad having a healer of my own."

Her love laughed as well but immediately stopped when looked out the front window. He pointed out. "Guys, look."

Scott was now following Chris to his car and when they both got in, needless to say that everyone was shocked. God damn. They couldn't believe it actually worked. But now was not the time to celebrate. So as soon as Chris's car was in gear, so was Derek's. Then he followed the hunter and Scott out of the parking lot.

They ended up driving to the local pool to check out the crime scene. It looked like the police and paramedics had already beaten them to it. The boy Stiles and Natalie had described to them earlier was lying on a gurney, ready to be taken in for an autopsy. Delilah could see the slit on his throat and the blood all over his body. It was so brutal. She wasn't sure she could stomach the sight.

"Do not throw up," she chanted to herself, hands curled into a fist and face turned to Isaac's chest. Delilah was breathing heavily. "Do not throw up, do not throw up." Isaac started rubbing his hand up and down her stomach to help soothe her.

Thankfully for Delilah (and Derek's car), they didn't stay at the crime scene much longer. They followed Chris back into the middle of the preserve. They all got out of their cars while Chris was already pulling a duffel bag out of his trunk. He dropped the bag in between himself and the half circle of werewolves standing across from him. He and Scott then bent down to get a closer look at the footprints that were still stamped on the ground.

"You're tracking them by print?" Chris asked Scott.

"Trying to," the teen wolf answered.

"Well, then, you've been wasting your time," Chris told him, "There's only one creature on earth that can visually track footprints-" he stood up, "and that's man. And if you're not trained like me, you have no idea that this print is Boyd's and these-"

"Are Cora's," Isaac finished in confidence.

"Nope. They're yours." Isaac nodded in embarrassment. Delilah patted his arm. "You trampled Cora's as soon as you walked over here. Listen, I know the five of you are focusing half your energy on resisting your own urges under the full moon, but that puts you at a severe disadvantage to Boyd and Cora, who have fully given in. They put the pedal to the floor where you three are barely hitting the speed limit."

Anabelle crossed her arms. "So what do we do?"

"Focus on your sense of smell," Chris instructed, "Actual wolves are known to track their prey by up to a hundred miles a day by scent. A trained hunter can use scent to track them. If the wind is with them, wolves can track a scent by a distance of two miles, which means we can draw them to us... or into a trap." He bent down to his duffel bag and started pulling out equipment. He tossed a net to Scott. "Full moon does give us one advantage." He then began tossing everyone pairs of night-vision goggles. "They'll have a higher heat signature, which makes them easier to spot with infrared."

He tossed a pair to Derek and he just inspected them in his hands. "Thanks, but I've got my own." His eyes flashed to red for a quick second. Anabelle rolled her eyes and took the goggles away from him.

"Just remember, we're not hunting wild animals. Underneath those impulses are two intelligent human beings. Don't think they can't rely on that human side. It's suppressed, but it's there, reminding them how to mask their scent, how to cover their tracks, how to survive."

Chris led the five to the edge of a cliff that looked over the town of Beacon Hills. If it were any other night, it would have been a beautiful and romantic view. Obviously this was not the right time to be romantic. Instead, all they could think about was how in danger the town was with two feral betas running around it and how they were terrorizing everyone.

"When's the last time you saw your sister?" Chris asked Derek.

"Not in years," the alpha answered in remorse, "I thought she died in the fire."

"Do you feel like you have a lock on her scent?" Derek shook his head, making Chris sigh. "Scott, how confident are you in your skills?"

"Honestly, most of the time, I'm trying not to think about all the things I can smell," Scott said.

This was going to be difficult.

"Alright," Chris said, "The problem is when they breach the woods and hit the residential area. Once they're past the high school, they're right in the middle of Beacon Hills."

"They're not gonna kill everything they see, are they?" Delilah asked nervously.

"No. But there is an important difference to recognize. Wolves hunt for food. At a certain point, they get full. But Boyd and Cora are hunting for the pleasure of the kill, for some primal apex predatory satisfaction that comes from the ripping of warm bodies to bloody shreds. And who knows when that need gets satiated?"

Delilah gulped and placed her hands on her stomach. "That's unpleasant."

"We can't kill them," Scott persisted.

"What if we can't catch them?" Derek asked.

"Then maybe we just need to contain them," Chris said, "There's no one in the school at night, is there?"

"You want to trap them inside?" Anabelle asked. Maybe that could actually work.

"If there's somewhere with a strong enough door, no windows or access to the outside."

"What about the boiler room?" Isaac suggested, "It's just one big steel door."

Turning to Scott, Chris asked him, "You're sure the school's empty?"

"It has to be," Scott said, "There can't be anyone there this late, right?"

Little did they all know just how wrong they were.

They all headed back to Chris's car where he pulled out something that almost looked like a stake. You know, the ones that are used to kill vampires. But that was not what this was for. Chris stabbed it into the ground.

"These are ultrasonic emitters," he told them, "It's one of the tools we use to corral werewolves, pushing them into a direction we want them to run." He pushed the button on the top, turning it on, "Gives off a high-pitched frequency that only they can hear."

"God, no kidding!" Isaac exclaimed, who was covering his ears like everyone else was.

"Okay, can you turn it off now, please?" Anabelle gritted out.

Chris rolled his eyes but complied. After turning the emitter off, he started pulling more out of his briefcase that was lying in his trunk. He began to pass them out to everyone.

"These are gonna drive them to the school?" Derek asked as he took a couple.

"And then it's up to you to get them into the basement," Chris told him.

"Does anyone else want to rethink the plan where we just, uh, kill 'em?" Isaac said. Delilah smacked his arm with the emitter she was holding. "Ow."

"Stop it," she scolded her boyfriend.

"It's going to work," Scott said with his usual and sometimes unrealistic optimism. Not everyone was feeling that same enthusiasm though. "It has to."

Isaac and Delilah sprinted side by side throughout the preserve, both holding onto two emitters. He stopped to crouch down to stick one of his into the ground. As he remained in that position, Delilah ran across his back and catapulted herself at a tree. She stabbed the top with one of her own emitters. As soon as she landed on the ground, Isaac took her hand and they continued to run, hearing Boyd and Cora not too far behind them.

"It's working," Delilah laughed, "It's actually working!"

"Yeah, a little too well," Isaac said as he looked behind them. He could see Boyd and Cora chasing after them. "Faster!"

They both pumped their legs as fast as they could go, eventually losing the other two betas. Soon Isaac and Delilah got to the school where Scott and Chris already were, setting up the last of the emitters. Scott then went to start opening up all of the doors to the school so they could trap in Boyd and Cora. Since Isaac was stronger than his girlfriend was at the moment, he went by himself to the opposite side of the building while Scott and Delilah stuck together.

After opening up the last set of double doors together, the teen wolf and the hybrid caught up to Chris as he switched on the last emitter. When he stood up, he was staring up at something flying in the air.

"Do you see that?" he asked the two.

"Yeah, it's a firefly," Scott answered.

Chris shook his head. "No, no, I know, it..."

"What?" Scott wondered.

"It's, uh... it's very unusual. The, uh, California fireflies aren't bioluminescent."

Delilah sighed at Scott's confused face. "That means they don't glow."

"Does that mean something?" Scott asked as they all looked up at the firefly.

"It always does."

Off in the distance they heard howling. They were getting close. And it wouldn't be long until they were on the school property if they already weren't. So Delilah took off running to find Isaac. It wasn't long until Boyd and Cora started running towards her. Delilah sprinted even faster until she saw Isaac standing at a different side of the school.

"Isaac!" she yelled.

Said boy rolled his eyes when he heard the growling.

"Oh, great."

He turned around just in time to catch Delilah. When they looked across at Boyd and Cora the two feral betas roared and snapped their fangs at them. The young couple stood back and flashed their yellow and violet eyes at them. Chris honked his horn and shone his car's headlights at them. Boyd and Cora growled at him before darting of at the open doors, running past Isaac and Delilah.

They stopped when they got to the doors where Derek and Anabelle were waiting for them. But then Boyd and Cora jumped up to the roof of the building, confusing everyone.

"They're not going through the school," Scott said, "They're going over it."

All six of them ran to each other outside. "The red doors," Chris said, "someone has to get them open."

"We'll get them," Anabelle nodded. She grabbed Derek's hand. "Come on." The two ran back into the building.

"Someone has to drive them inside," Scott said.

Chris held up an electrical baton. "I'll go."

"No," Delilah said, "I'm faster." She started to run to the other side when Isaac grabbed her.

"Baby, you're not feeling well," he told her, "Let me take care of it."

"I can do it, Isaac," Delilah persisted, "Sick or not, I'm still the fastest one out of all of us." She could tell that Isaac was still not happy about it so she placed her hand on his cheek. "I'll be alright. I promise."

As much as he didn't like having his girlfriend be by herself in her condition, Isaac sighed. "Just please be careful."

"I will." They kissed each other quickly before Delilah took off.

The hybrid ran to the back of the school where she saw Allison (what the hell was she doing here?) walking on top of a yellow school bus. She was shooting arrows at Boyd and Cora that flashed when they struck near them. The two betas shielded their eyes and dodged the arrows as swiftly as they could. They ran inside the school and as soon as she was sure that they were inside, Delilah shut the doors and slid a bar through the handles so they couldn't get out.

Delilah turned around and locked eyes with Allison. Neither of them still didn't know what to think of each other. Going off of past encounters they have had with each other with the fighting and everything, they weren't necessarily too keen of each other. Delilah was still angry that the huntress tried to kill her boyfriend the night Jackson stopped turning into the kanima. On the other side, Allison wasn't exactly thrilled about the way Scott's gaze sometimes lingered on the hybrid for even just a second too long. It wasn't Delilah's fault, Allison could admit that. And she knew that Delilah and Isaac were absolutely crazy for each other. But it still left a pang of jealously within her. So the girls came to the conclusion that they didn't like each other.

Allison jumped off the bus and ran away. Delilah almost wanted to run after her to ask why she was there, but that was the least of her worries right now. Especially when she felt her stomach start to cramp up a little. Plus her energy was draining and she was getting really tired. So Delilah slumped against the doors and slid down so she was sitting.

At least Delilah didn't feel like vomiting anymore, so that was a good thing. But she was still feeling uncomfortable so she placed her hand on her stomach and tried to take her own pain away since Isaac wasn't there. It was very strange. When Delilah started to massage the part of her stomach that was cramping, it felt kind of tight. While she was never skinny, always more on the curvier and athletic side, her stomach was never flat. It had just a little bit of that baby fat that still remained after she was bitten. She was feeling a little bloated, but it was also a bit firmer than normal. And Delilah could not figure out what was causing this discomfort.

"Delilah!"

The girl looked to her right to see Isaac running towards her. Like she expected, panic glazed his eyes when he saw her sitting there. He took Delilah's face in his hands and started to inspect her.

"Baby, are you okay?" he asked with no breath in between his sentences, "They didn't hurt you, did they? Are you feeling nauseous? Do you need to-"

"Isaac, Isaac!" Delilah cut him off. She placed her own hands over his cheeks. "I'm not hurt. I'm doing fine. I just needed to catch my breath, that's all."

"You're absolutely positive?" Isaac asked again.

Raising an eyebrow, Delilah said, "I don't know whether to find your constant fussing over me endearing or obnoxious."

The blond beta rolled his eyes when he realized she was teasing him. But his face became sincere. "Well, I'm sorry. And I know I've been a little overbearing lately-"

"A little?"

"Okay, fine, a lot," Isaac corrected himself, "Can you blame me though? After everything that's happened to you, I can't help but feel like I have to protect you from the world. I also don't like you being sick and not knowing what's causing it."

"I get it," Delilah sighed, "and I'm sorry that I've been a little all over the place lately too. But I can protect myself if I need to, baby. Don't think you always have to save me."

"Even if I want to?"

"Yes. Even if you want to."

Isaac let out a small huff. "I'll try. But can you please at least talk to Deaton?"

"I will tomorrow," Delilah told him, "Okay?"

"Okay." Isaac kissed her on the lips. He then stood up.

"Do you think you could actually help me up though?" Delilah asked bashfully.

Laughing, Isaac grabbed his love's hand and helped her stand. He wrapped his arms around Delilah's waist as he kissed her again. She pulled his body impossibly closer to hers. They would have happily stayed in this position all night if the loud roaring coming from inside the school hadn't interrupted them. They could distinctly hear Boyd and Cora but there was another roar. Then they could hear Derek screaming Anabelle's name.

"She's locked in the boiler room with them," Delilah realized. She grabbed Isaac's hand. "Come on!"

They ran inside the building and through the halls towards the boiler room, calling for Scott. Just before they could reach it, they felt the sun shine through the window, the slight warmth hitting their faces.

"The sun's coming up," Isaac breathed out. He smiled lightly. "Scott! The sun's coming up!"

When they reached the top of the stairs to the boiler room, Derek practically ripped the lock of the door off and ran inside with Scott behind him. The couple followed after, also in a hurry to get to the woman who became a mother figure to everyone over these past handful of months.

They found her on the knees in the middle of the boiler room with Boyd and Cora passed out of each side of her. Looks like they finally grew tired of becoming killing machines for the night. As for Anabelle, luckily she was still alive, but she was definitely weak. Her sweater was all torn up and bloody and her usually perfectly curly dark brown hair was disheveled. She was panting heavily, clearly exhausted. Delilah could see Derek's hands getting shaky like hers always were when he grabbed the woman he cared for immensely's face.

"Anabelle, that was so stupid of you," Derek scolded even though he wasn't really mad at her, "What the hell were you thinking?"

"That I really am faster than you," Anabelle joked, flinching at the pain.

"You could have died," Derek said, "I was supposed be the one in here. Why did you push me out of the way?"

Looking into his eyes, Anabelle told him, "Because I know you would have done the same thing for me."

Now what Derek did next took everyone aback. He hugged Anabelle. But this wasn't a friendly hug. This reminded Delilah of how Isaac always held her with so much passion and love. Even though Anabelle wasn't fully capable of returning the hug, she still buried her face in the nape of Derek's neck. It felt like everyone in the room was watching something beautiful unravel, even though they except for the she-wolf knew what that something was. Delilah held Isaac's hand as she watched the touching moment.

"There's a teacher," she told him, making him look down at her, "Go take care of her and make sure that she's okay."

"I'm not leaving you," Derek insisted.

"We got her, Derek," Scott promised him. Isaac and Delilah nodded.

The alpha was still adamant on staying with his mate but she gave him a stern yet soft look. "Go."

"I'll come to you as soon as I can," he promised Anabelle. He stood up and turned to his betas and nodded towards Boyd and Cora. "Get them out of here." And then he looked at Scott. "Take care of her."

"I will," Scott told him.

Then Derek went to go find the teacher while Isaac and Delilah picked up Boyd and Cora while Scott took care of Anabelle.

The sun may have been up, but Isaac and Delilah were ready for bed. After they left the school, the young couple along with Derek and Anabelle went to the loft, carrying Boyd and Cora in as well. Delilah spent the morning healing the she-wolf, not caring about her own lack of energy. Derek certainly appreciated the help, especially since he was still shaken up about almost losing his mate. The hybrid was happy to be of service, but she herself really needed a bed so she could finally get some rest.

She and Isaac went into his room after making sure that everyone else was okay. They stripped out of their dirty clothes but remained in their underwear, feeling a bit too sluggish to change. They then crawled into bed and went into their initial sleeping position. Isaac kissed Delilah on the cheek as he pulled her back against his chest.

Both of them practically slept throughout the entire day, Isaac's hand placed on Delilah's stomach the entire time.

I'm sure you guys already know what's going on with Delilah, but I guarantee that you're not going to predict what happens in the next chapter. It's gonna be... intense, to say the least so I'm warning you now.

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! PLEASE review and let me know what you think! Also please check out my other two stories in the saga, Awake and Alive and No One Else! I'll be sure to update soon! Xoxo, Maddie
