Hello, lovely people! Yes, I am still alive! God, I am so sorry it's taking me so long to update on here. Everything has just been hectic lately and I honestly wasn't in the mood to write. But I am starting to get back into these stories (and even a couple of new ones coming up) and I can't wait to start pumping out more chapters. So here is chapter 5 of No One Else!

It had been a quiet day so far at the apartment. Usually the TV would be on and Isaac's sarcastic commentary would be grumbled out. That would always get a chuckle out of Anabelle. The kid really was something else. He definitely added some life into the place.

However, this morning, Isaac had gone with Derek to the subway station and train a little, leaving Anabelle by herself. The alpha had asked if she wanted to go with them, but she had declined. Not that she had a real reason why. There were just those times where one needed to be alone. And stay away from a moody Derek for a while. Anabelle made herself busy though. She gathered up both her and Isaac's dirty clothes and went downstairs to do their laundry. After all of the clothes were washed, dried, folded, and put away, Anabelle moved on to cleaning the kitchen. Then she made Isaac's bed (technically it was hers, but she gave it up to him so he could be more comfortable).

There was really no need to clean around the apartment. It was spotless enough as it was. But Anabelle was just so bored! Maybe she should have went with Derek and Isaac. At least she would have been more entertained watching the two males throw each other around.

Deciding that dwelling on 'what ifs' wasn't going to get her anywhere, Anabelle stripped and stepped in the shower to wake herself up more. She held her hand out underneath the shower head to test the temperature of the water. Then she let the water cascade down her body. As Anabelle closed her eyes and let the warmth release her tension, her voice filled the silence of the apartment with a song.

Lithium, don't want to lock me up inside.

Lithium, don't want to forget how it feels without…

Lithium, I want to stay in love with my sorrow.

Oh, but God, I want to let it go.

Come to bed, don't make me sleep alone.

Couldn't hide the emptiness, you let it show.

Never wanted it to be so cold.

Just didn't drink enough to say you love me.

I can't hold on to me.

Wonder what's wrong with me.

Lithium, don't want to lock me up inside.

Lithium, don't want to forget how it feels without…

Lithium, I want to stay in love with my sorrow.

Don't want to let it lay me down this time.

Drown my will to fly.

Here in the darkness I know myself.

Can't break free until I let it go.

Let me go.

Darling, I forgive you… After all,

Anything is better than to be alone.

And in the end I guess I had to fall.

Always find my place among the ashes.

I can't hold on to me.

Wonder what's wrong with me.

Lithium, don't want to lock me up inside.

Lithium, don't want to forget how it feels without…

Lithium, … stay in love with you.

I'm gonna let it go.

By the time her song ended, Anabelle's hair and body was fresh, clean, and smelled amazing. She turned the shower off and reached out to grab a towel before stepping out of the tub. She then wrapped another towel around her hair as she left the bathroom. When she went into the living room, she looked up and screamed as soon as she saw Derek and Isaac sitting on her couch. Both of them had amused smirks on their faces.

"I didn't know you could sing," Isaac said in awe.

"She's a theater geek," Derek told him, "Musicals were her specialty. Sounds like she's still got it, too."

"What the fuck, Derek?!" Anabelle shrieked, "How did you even get in here? I haven't gotten Isaac a key to the apartment yet."

Derek held up his keys along with Anabelle's. "I had my own set made." He tossed the she-wolf's keys back to her, which she caught with one hand.

"You made a copy of my keys?" she asked incredulously.

"Never know when there's gonna be an emergency," Derek shrugged, "It's good to be prepared, right?"

"God, you're so annoying," Anabelle said, rolling her eyes, "Why are you guys here? I thought you two were training."

"We were," Isaac said, looking down at his hands, "Something else came up though. But before we tell you more, do you think you could put some clothes on?"

Oh. Right. With slightly red cheeks, Anabelle excused herself and went into her room. At least Isaac was courteous enough to not gawk at the older woman like most hormonal teenage boys. Or else Derek would have really given him hell during the next training session.

Anabelle soon came back fully dressed and her damp hair up and out of her face. "So what's your 'big emergency'?"

"Delilah called me earlier," Isaac said, "Her friend Erica Reyes has epilepsy and she had a seizure during gym today. She had to go to the hospital."

"And Delilah suggested giving her the bite so her epilepsy would go away," Derek finished.

"Are you?" Anabelle asked him.

"I don't see why not," the alpha said, "I need as many people in my pack as I can get. Teenager or adult. So don't even try to talk me out of it."

"Then why are you here?"

"Because you're going to discharge the girl from the hospital. I'd do it myself, but I think you would agree that that would look pretty suspicious."

Damn Derek and his logic.

Sighing, Anabelle grabbed her purse from the coffee table. "Isaac, will you be okay here by yourself for a bit?"

"Yep." The teenager had already positioned himself comfortably on the couch with his hands behind his head and feet kicked up. "No need to worry about me."

When the older werewolves walked past him, Derek smacked his feet off the couch, nonverbally scolding him for his lack of manners. Isaac threw his hands up in exasperation but they were already out the door so they didn't see it.

They went down to Derek's car and buckled in. He drove in silence for the first seven minutes, stealing glances at Anabelle. Her chin was resting on her hand as she gazed out the window.

"It feels like it's been forever since I last heard you sing," he said out loud.

Anabelle looked over at him with furrowed eyebrows. "What?"

"When you were singing in the shower earlier," Derek said, "It's been so long since the last time I heard you sing. Your voice changed a lot."

"Well, yeah, that's what happens as time goes by. People grow up and change. You should know plenty about that."

Choosing to ignore her bitter tone, Derek said, "Either way, I think you have a beautiful voice."

"Oh." It was safe to say that Anabelle was more than surprised to hear a compliment like that from him. "Thanks, I guess."

"I mean it, Belle. You should get back into musical theater. You were so good at it and I know how much you loved it."

"I've thought about it. But it's not like there are many theater groups in Beacon Hills and I'm sure as hell not leaving this town anytime soon. And for god's sake, stop calling me Belle. That nickname is awful."

"You're such a drama queen," Derek said as he made a turn, "It isn't even that bad. Isn't it that princess's name from that cartoon movie? Don't girls love that princess crap?"

Scoffing, Anabelle replied with, "And since when did I become one of those typical girls that loved princesses?"

"Actually, you're more like a demon from hell." That earned Derek a smack on the arm. "Hey, relax, I was kidding. See, I can crack a joke every once in a while."

"Yeah, you're a freakin' riot."

Not another word was spoken between the two until Derek pulled into the hospital parking lot. As he snuck around the building, Anabelle decided to wait in the car for a bit. It was a little boring and Derek had taken his keys with him so she couldn't listen to the radio or even take the car for a joyride. So the only thing she could do to kill time was snoop around the alpha's stuff.

Derek had to be the most boring man in the universe. All there was in his glove compartment was a bunch of open envelopes and pieces of paper that looked to be forgotten bills. The center console wasn't any more amusing. In there was an unopened packet of tissues, loose change, and a pack of gum (which Anabelle stole a stick of). Things did get a little more interesting when she found Derek's wallet lying next to the gas pedal. She picked it up without hesitation and looked inside. Not a whole lot was in there, just some dollar bills, credit cards, and his driver's license. Nothing out of the ordinary.

But then Anabelle founded a folded photo in one of the pockets and pulled it out. When she unfolded it, she was surprised to find out that it was the photo she had given to Derek of her between the time of Paige's death and the fire. The photo looked like it went through hell and back. It was all wrinkled and pieced together with tape. Anabelle leaned back in her seat as she took a long look at it. She couldn't believe that Derek had kept this after all these years. She thought for sure that he would've thrown it away after screaming that she hated him. But apparently not. And Anabelle felt a little touched at this.

As she traced her finger over her younger face in the picture, Anabelle couldn't help but feel envious of how happy she looked. Ever since the fire, the she-wolf had definitely been more closed off. Caleb, Parker, and even their wives did everything they could to provide for her and get her to open up to them. No matter how hard they tried though, they would never be her mother. Nor Derek. Anabelle would used to go to those two for everything. Then her mother died in the fire and Derek bailed with Laura. Losing Claire and her father James was just too much for her to handle and she never got close to anyone ever since.

At least she now had her best friend back. Well, that was if she even considered Derek to be her best friend anymore after all he put her through.

"Lie still."

The sudden gruff voice made Anabelle drop the photo and freeze. Shit. Did Derek catch her? She looked around but didn't see the alpha near her. Then she heard another girl's voice so Anabelle figured he must've been speaking to that Erica girl.

"Side effects may include anxiety, weight gain, acne, ulcerative colitis," she heard Derek list off, "Yeesh."

"Who are you?" Erica asked shakily.

"Let's just say we have amutual friend," Derek said. Anabelle rolled her eyes when she heard him try to sound mysterious. Way to be subtle. "You get awarning right before you have a seizure."

"It's called an aura," Erica explained, "It'sit's like a metallic taste in my mouth."

"You don't have to lie, Erica. What's it really taste like?"

It took a while for the poor girl to answer. "It tastes like blood."

Then Anabelle heard Derek's voice get lower. "What if I told youthat all of this could go away? The side effectsthe symptomsall of it. And what if all those things not only went awaybut everything elsegot even better?"

It was easy to tell that Derek's seductive tone was reeling the teenager in. Anabelle could just imagine that smug little grin etched on his face right now. And if she was to be honest, she couldn't blame Erica. Derek had always been such a charmer and had a way with the ladies, even though he never really dated anyone other than Paige and Kate. She didn't know if he had relationships in the past six years though. Probably not. After Kate, Anabelle doubted Derek was as trusting as he used to be. He wouldn't be so quick to let anyone in anymore. And he was never really the 'hump and dump' kind of guy- he was a one woman type of man.

But god damn, did he still have his mojo! Anabelle would be lying if she said that Derek's sex appeal didn't have some effect on her. It was giving her those… feelings. You know, those sinful feelings that a nun would be ashamed of. That's what Anabelle was going through at the moment and she didn't like it one bit. She blamed it on the lack of intercourse she's had over the years, the last time she had sex being with her high school love Chase. That's just something Anabelle didn't want to think about at the moment. Especially her sudden spike of arousal she had received from Derek's voice alone. At least he wasn't near her right then so he couldn't smell it on her.

"How?" Erica asked, bringing Anabelle back to reality.

Suddenly, the teenager's breath hitched. Then Derek said, "Let me show you."

When Erica let out a soft pained whimper, Anabelle decided that was her cue to go inside. She tucked Derek's wallet in the center console before getting out of the car and entering the hospital. At the front desk was a heavy-set nurse that appeared to be in her early forties.

"Hi," Anabelle said with a kind smile, "I'm here to pick up Erica Reyes. I was informed that she had a seizure during class so I came to take her home."

The nurse raised an eyebrow. "And who are you?"

"Courtney Reyes," Anabelle lied easily, "I'm her older cousin. Her best friend called me and told me what happened. I figured Erica would rather have me pick her up rather than her mother."

"Alright." The nurse still looked suspicious but she just shoed a bunch of papers towards the she-wolf. "Just sign these and your cousin will be free to go."

After filling out the paperwork, the nurse gave Anabelle a visitors pass and led her to Erica's room. Derek was no longer in there but his pine needle scent still lingered in the air. Erica just looked at Anabelle in awe.

"So you're Anabelle?" she asked once the nurse left, "Derek's friend?"

"Yep," Anabelle said, "Well, I'd say we're more like partners. Business partners, I mean."

"Oh, cool," Erica nodded.

Picking up the girl's belongings, Anabelle asked, "Are you ready to head on out of here?"

The only response she received was another nod and Erica got up from the bed. Anabelle handed her her clothes and she went to the restroom to change. When she had finished, they walked out of the room then out the hospital to Derek's Camaro, where the alpha was already in the driver's seat.

"This is the last one," Anabelle told him sternly, "If you wanna turn another person, it's not gonna be a teenager. Understand?"

"And I thought I was the alpha here," Derek scoffed.

"Derek-"

"Fine," Derek said, "No more turning teenagers. You have my word." He then turned the engine on and drove back to Anabelle's apartment.

Isaac was still chilling on the couch when the three of them entered the apartment. Anabelle immediately took Erica's hand and led her to her bedroom. She then rummaged through her closet and pulled out a black leather jacket and matching skirt, white tank top, and leopard print heels that she had never worn before.

"Here," Anabelle said, handing the clothes to Erica, "I'm pretty sure we're the same size. Put these on then come sit down on this stool."

Erica looked hesitant, but the older werewolf just gave her a simple smile and turned around so she could change her clothes. When she was done, Erica sat down while Anabelle plugged in her curling iron and then pulled out her makeup. She instructed the teen to close her eyes and she went to work.

"Did Derek turn you, too?" Erica asked after about two minutes of silence.

"No," Anabelle answered, "Derek and I were born werewolves. Our families were very close so we've literally known each other since birth. We grew up together. Then our house caught on fire and we hadn't seen each other until a couple weeks ago."

"Oh. That explains why you both look like models."

Anabelle chuckled. "Thanks. We also just happen to take really good care of ourselves, too. It helps us feel energized and ready to go."

"I guess that makes sense," Erica said, "So why am I wearing this outfit and why are you putting makeup on me?"

"Well after this, we're gonna take you back to the school and you're gonna show everyone the new sexy Erica Reyes."

This made Erica snort. "Yeah, like makeup and tight clothing is gonna do much improvement."

"Hey, now," Anabelle said sternly, "That's not a very good attitude. It's not just about how you look. It's how you present yourself by being confident and fierce. Like you don't give a shit about what people think of you. Everything else like your clothes and makeup just emphasizes it."

"I suppose… So why are you helping me? I thought you were against the whole 'Derek turning teenagers into werewolves' thing."

"Just because Derek's an idiot, that doesn't mean I don't care about keeping you guys safe and happy. And if it comes down to giving you makeover to feel good about yourself and sexy…" Anabelle spun the stool around so Erica could look at herself in the mirror. "Then so be it."

The moment Erica got a glimpse of her reflection, her eyes grew wide in shock. Anabelle smirked in pride when the girl laughed breathlessly as she took in the way her makeup hid any hint of imperfection and her hair was perfectly curled and frizz-free. Not to brag, but Anabelle could make a living out of this. With her styling skills, she could make anyone look gorgeous!

"Wow," Erica laughed, still in a daze, "That's… That's me. That's really me."

"Sure is," Anabelle smiled, "You've always been beautiful. But sometimes it just takes a little extra help to bring it out."

"I- I don't even know what to say," Erica stammered, "Thanks. This is pretty awesome."

"No problem, kid. Now, what do say about getting the hell outta here and showing off the new and improved Erica Reyes to the world?"

Later that night, after they took Erica home and Derek was with Isaac, Anabelle had met up with Harvey at the local bar. He had wanted the she-wolf to catch him up on all the latest werewolf drama, which wasn't a lot. No matter how many times Anabelle told him there wasn't anything exciting happening, he didn't care. But at least she was getting free drinks out of it. It wasn't that bad of a deal.

"Let me get this straight," Harvey said as Anabelle sipped on her beer, "Derek is turning teenage misfits into werewolves and you're now hiding a fugitive in your apartment?"

"See what happens when you let Derek Hale back into your life?" Anabelle snorted.

A chuckle rumbled up Harvey's throat. "Damn. That man must not give a single fuck about possible consequences."

"No, he does not." After setting her drink down on the bar counter, Anabelle let out a sigh and ran a hand through her curly hair. "I swear he's gonna get our kind in big trouble again one of these days."

"Is he gonna turn any more teenagers?"

"Probably. Who knows? I could try to talk him out of it but he most likely won't listen to me. Even though he was the one who came to me in the first place."

"How's that going by the way?" Harvey asked, "To be honest, I'm surprised Derek's not dead yet. That's gotta be a good sign."

"I don't know…" Anabelle shrugged her shoulders. "I guess it could be worse."

"Yeah, I mean, the dude could be making you kill puppies," Harvey said before sipping on his beer. He then raised an eyebrow. "He's not making you kill puppies, right?"

Throwing her head back, the she-wolf let out a bark of laughter. She shook her head with an amused smile. "Remind me again why I'm still friends with you?"

"Because I'm good looking, I know how to use a gun, and I'm the only person you don't wanna strangle."

"Always so modest," Anabelle laughed.

Her smile gradually dimmed the more she thought about the day's earlier events. Absently, her finger traced around the neck of her bottle and she bit her bottom lip.

"I found something interesting in his wallet earlier," she said, "After Paige died, I had given Derek a photo of me and wrote some sort of heartfelt message on the back of it. He's kept it ever since."

Harvey smirked. "Really?"

"No reason," the man shrugged, smile still plastered on his face, "But I told you that the boy missed you. Apparently so much that he has a photo of you in his wallet, which he kept for six years. That's kind of a big deal." He tapped his finger on the bar. "Do you think that maybe-"

"I'm gonna stop you right there," Anabelle interrupted, "I know what you're gonna say, and I think you're putting way too much thought into this. It's just a stupid picture. There's no deeper meaning for that."

"Come on, Anabelle. Obviously it means something more to Derek. And are you just gonna forget about that pull you've been feeling since you saw him in the woods? You should talk to that vet guy about that."

"There are more important things to worry about right now. It's probably nothing anyway. So can we just drop it? Please?"

Anabelle could tell that Harvey wanted to argue about it more, but with a sigh, he gave up on the subject. Even though she didn't want to admit it, he was probably right. There was always this funny feeling in the pit of her stomach whenever she was near Derek. It wasn't just anger she felt- it was a mix of things. Some of which were pleasant, like how she felt earlier when Derek was seducing Erica only to get her to accept the bite. Pleasure and Derek in the same sentence didn't sit well with her at all. All it did was infuriate her. And while Anabelle should go see Dr. Deaton and ask what that was all about, there were hunters and teenage betas that needed her attention more. This just had to wait until after this mess had settled down.

While the two adults finished their beer, a forty-something year old man with jacked up yellow teeth and a beer belly came up between them. The stench of alcohol hit Anabelle like a tidal wave and it took everything in her to not gag.

"Sup, baby?" he grinned, "What's a hot woman like you doing in a place like this?"

"Trying to avoid pathetic lines like that," Anabelle said without giving the man a second glance.

"Ouch," the man hissed, "That was a little harsh. But you can make it up to me by heading back to my place with me tonight and showing me what else that pretty little mouth can do besides talk."

"Look, buddy," Harvey glared, "why don't you just move along and there won't be any trouble."

The man glared back at Harvey. "And why don't you let her answer for herself?" He turned back to Anabelle. "So what do you say, baby? Wanna get outta here so I can show you a good time?" He made sure to add a creepy wink at the end.

"Wow, don't you know how to make a woman swoon," Anabelle said sarcastically, "But I'm not interested. Let's go, Harvey." The two friends got up from their stools.

"Aw, come on, baby," the guy whined, "Don't be such a tease."

As Anabelle walked past him, he squeezed her ass. Right when she felt his grubby hand on her, she grabbed his arm and pulled it behind his back. Then she pressed her forearm on the back of his neck and pinned his head on the bar. It caused everyone in there to turn their heads.

"You bitch!" the man gritted, "Are you fuckin' crazy?!"

"Touch me again and you'll find out just how crazy I can get," Anabelle growled, "And with the way you treat women, it's no wonder why you can't get any."

It was easy to see that the she-wolf was losing her grip. Harvey noticed his friend's eyes glowing blue and her claws beginning to pierce the slum's neck. Before Anabelle could do anymore damage and get herself caught, Harvey gently pried her off.

"Just relax," he told her, "He's not worth your time and energy."

Anabelle closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths to calm down. When she opened her eyes again, they had switched back to her natural warm and brown color. Her claws had also retracted. With a sigh, she nodded her head.

"Fine. Let's just get out of here."

Around four o'clock in the afternoon the next day, Anabelle had come back from the market and was putting away the dozens of groceries. She had just put the milk in the refrigerator when someone knocked on the door. She was shocked to say the least to see who was standing in the hallway.

"Scott? What are you doing here?"

Said boy was breathing heavily and he looked pretty pissed off. "Where's Derek?"

"Um, I honestly don't know," Anabelle answered, "Last time I saw him, he told me that he was going out for a run. Is something wrong?"

"There is this kid at my school named Boyd," Scott told her, "He's never been absent before but he was there at school today... I think it's because of Derek. He's gonna turn another one."

Hearing this made Anabelle's claws pop out and dig into the wooden door. "Are you sure?"

"Positive. Stiles and Natalie are going over to his house to see if he's there. I'm heading over to the ice rink since he works there. Wanna come with me?"

"Just let me go grab my shoes and keys," Anabelle nodded.

After she had what she needed, she led Scoot down to her car. Thank god that Isaac returned it after his date with his girlfriend earlier. If Anabelle didn't have the car, they for sure wouldn't be able to get to Boyd in time to try to persuade him to not take the bite.

Fucking Derek... That son of a bitch lied! He promised Anabelle that he wasn't going to turn anymore teenagers. And she was stupid enough to believe him. She should have known better. During the drive, her knuckles turned white from clenching onto the steering wheel so tightly. Her eye color kept switching from brown to blue, which made Scott nervous. But they managed to get to the ice rink in one piece.

Inside the building, a tall and dark-skinned boy was sitting on top of a Zamboni. Scott and Anabelle stepped onto the ice, being careful not to slip, and headed over to Boyd.

"Boyd," Scott said, "I just wanna talk." But Boyd just ignored him and continued to work. "Hey, come on, Boyd, please." The werewolves walked closer to him. "Did Derek tell you everything? And I don't just mean going out of control on the full moons. I mean everything."

Sighing, Boyd turned the Zamboni off. "He told me about the hunters."

"And that's not enough for you to say no?" Scott asked incredulously.

"It's Boyd, right?" Anabelle asked. Said boy nodded. "Look, Boyd, take it from someone who was born this way. You don't want this life. Yeah, there are pros to receiving the bite. But there are also just as many cons. Do you really wanna spend the rest of your life fighting for it in fear?"

"I just want to not eat lunch alone every day," Boyd said. Hearing the honest tone in his voice made Anabelle feel sympathetic towards the teenager.

"If you're looking for friends," Scott said, "you can do a lot better than Derek."

"That really hurts, Scott."

Both betas whipped their heads to see Derek standing behind them with Isaac and Erica at his side. Seeing Derek with that stupid smirk on his face caused Anabelle's eyes to flash. If Scott wasn't holding her back, she probably would have ripped the alpha's head off.

"I mean, if you're going to review me, at least take a consensus," Derek said. He turned to Erica. "Erica, how's life been for you since we've met?"

"Hm." Erica pretended to think to herself. "In a word... transformative." She bared her fangs and growled at Scott and Anabelle, who both kept brave faces.

Then Derek looked at the tall blonde. "Isaac?"

"Well, I'm a little bummed about being a fugitive and not being able to see my girlfriend as much as I'd like," Isaac answered, "but other than that, I'm great."

"Okay, hold on," Scott spoke up, "This isn't exactly a fair fight."

"Then go home, Scott," Derek said. He looked over at his ex-best friend. "You too, Anabelle. We'll talk later."

But neither of them moved. Derek nodded his head at Isaac and Erica and they started to move towards Scott.

Suddenly, Scott began to shift and he crouched down on the ice. When he lifted his head, his face had changed and his eyes were golden-yellow.

"I meant fair for them."

Isaac charged towards Scott. But by the time he reached Scott, Scott had grabbed him and threw him across the ice rink. He did the same thing with Erica when she got to him, only this time she hit the Zamboni. At some point, Isaac had gotten back up as well as Erica and they both threw Scott against the Zamboni and then slid him across the ice. Scott was quick on his feet and was soon able to knock the new betas down to the ground, causing them to slip into unconsciousness.

"Don't you get it?" Scott exclaimed, "He's not doing this for you. He's just adding to his own power, okay? It's all about him. He makes you feel like he's giving you some kind of gift, when all he's done is turn you into a bunch of guard dogs!" Then he slid the still unconscious betas to Derek's feet.

"It's true," Derek admitted to Anabelle's surprise, "It is about power."

He walked over to Scott and head-butted him hard. Then he slashed his claws against his stomach and punched him in the face numerous amounts of times. Scott elbowed Derek in the face once but it didn't falter the alpha one bit. He just continued to punch the beta and pushed him on his back on the ice.

Anabelle couldn't stand to see Scott being pushed around like this. Just when Derek was about to press his foot against the teen's neck, the she-wolf sprinted across the ice and pounced on Derek. This sent them both flying and they landed on the ice harshly. Derek was pinned on his back with Anabelle gripping onto his wrists and straddling his waist.

Of course this position made him think of them in a provocative way. Like in a bed with no one else around them. And with a lot less clothing.

"I don't wanna hurt you, Anabelle," Derek told her, trying to rid the dirty thoughts on his mind.

"Oh really?" Anabelle said sarcastically, "You've never seemed to have a problem with it before." Derek immediately knew she was talking about the mirror incident six years ago. "You lied to me. You promised me you wouldn't turn anymore teenagers."

"You know, I say a lot of shit I don't mean," Derek growled.

"Trust me. I know."

Derek rolled them over so now he was the one on top. Again, trying to ignore the stronger urges to have his own way with her, he wrapped his hand around her neck, claws poking at her skin.

"One move and I could kill you," Derek told her, "I really don't want to, believe me, that's the last thing I wanna do. But if I have to..."

"So why don't you just do it already?" Anabelle challenged, "You're all talk and no action. Come on. I've got nothing to lose. Just do it! Do it, Derek! I dare you! Do it!"

Then just when both of them thought that Derek was actually going to hurt her, something very strange happened to the alpha.

The room was painted with a soft lavender color. A few pictures of a young couple and what looked to be sonograms were hanging on the walls. Stuffed animal toys rested against the rocking chair that was in the corner. There were also a couple of dressers and even a changing table. Small clothes were either folded in those dressers or hanging in the closet. It was very quiet except for the soft cooing sounds coming from the mahogany crib on the other side of the room.

As quietly as he could, Derek snuck into the room and shut the door behind him. He walked over to the crib as the cooing continued. When he looked over the rails, his heart warmed and his eyes glistened at the beautiful sight.

Clutching onto Boo Boo was the most precious baby girl that the alpha had ever seen. She had been dressed in a light pink onesie which kept her snug and warm. The color of her big eyes were a familiar light brown shade while her midnight black hair undoubtably matched his. It confused Derek yet took his breath away.

Her eyes searched around the room, taking in her surroundings. When she finally noticed Derek, she let out a toothless smile, which caused dimples to imprint her chubby cheeks. He felt a lump form in his throat at the sight. And when she babbled excitedly and made grabby hands at him, Derek couldn't resist any longer. Without hesitation, Derek scooped the baby up in his strong arms and held her close to him. She nuzzled her face in his chest and he almost lost it right then and there.

Just the thought of someone ripping this beautiful baby out of his arms and out of his life made Derek clutch onto her tighter but not tightly enough to crush her. She was his to protect and he wouldn't think twice about killing whoever threatened her. Never will she ever have to fear the dangers the world has to offer with Derek by her side and holding her hand. She will be more than safe in his care. Even if there was a time where he couldn't be there for her, he now had a pack to stand behind the both of them. This child was in good hands.

After all, this wasn't just a random baby girl. This was the alpha's baby girl. No one in their right mind would ever dare to mess with the alpha's baby girl.

Especially when said baby girl belonged to Derek Hale.

Derek quickly moved off of Anabelle as soon as the vision ended. His heart was pounding madly and was unsure of whether it was from the adrenaline or what he just saw. When he looked up at Anabelle, she was staring back at him with furrowed eyebrows. She was probably wondering what the hell was wrong with him and why he was suddenly acting so weird.

Well if was going to be honest, Derek wasn't so sure himself.

"Come to the subway station tomorrow and we'll talk then," he told her with a straight face, "But right now, go home. Both of you." He stood up and walked out of the ice rink.

"Don't," Scott said to Boyd when he hopped off the Zamboni and started to follow Derek, "You don't want to be like them."

"You're right," Boyd said. He lifted the bottom of his shirt to reveal the fresh bite mark. "I want to be like you." Then he followed after Derek, along with Isaac and Erica, who were both now conscious."

"Imagine if Delilah saw you right now," Scott called out to Isaac, who immediately halted at the mention of his girlfriend, "Do you think she'd be happy for you right now? Proud that you're letting Derek turn you into some sort of monster? How are you gonna feel if hunters use her as bait to try to get to you?"

Slowly, Isaac turned back around and glared at Scott with his yellow eyes. He pointed a finger at him. "You leave Delilah the hell out of this. If I ever see you or any of your pathetic friends anywhere near her... just know that Derek's not gonna be your biggest problem." With that being said, he left with the rest of his pack.

Anabelle got up and rushed to Scott's side. His hand was pressed against the wound on his stomach and he winced in pain.

"Come on," Anabelle said as she hoisted Scott up, "We gotta get you to Deaton."

Gently, they got to the she-wolf's car and she drove him to the vet's office. She kept one arm around Scott's waist as she knocked on the door when they arrived. Deaton soon opened the door and his eyes slightly widened.

"Anabelle," he said, "What a surprise."

"Hey, Doc," she greeted, "Um, we kinda need your help."

The vet nodded his head and ushered the werewolves in. He led them in an operating room where the body of a dead man lied. Anabelle helped Scott sit on a chair and he looked down at his still bleeding wound.

"Why aren't you healing?" he said quietly.

"Because it's from an alpha," Anabelle told him, "Those wounds take a little longer to heal than if it was from a beta or omega." Scott nodded in understanding.

Deaton looked over at Scott from the other side of the table and said, "I think maybe we better have that talk now."
