This is the third installment and the last prologue chapter of Tales of Guardians : Kuvira's Redemption. The Prologue itself has divided into the first three chapters to explained the Alliance of Unified Guardians arrival on the World of Avatar and their process to gained the alliance with Order of the White Lotus. Also there are a bit change in the date.

A Prologue, Part Three : Negotiation

A week has passed since Nilo and Shift meeting with the White Lotus agent. A contingent of White Lotus sentries, led by Grand Lotus Daizan himself are waiting in front of the Uraki Detainment Facility – place guarded by the agent who met with Nilo and Shift – a high security prison designed to detained dangerous individuals as the facility also served as White Lotus forward outpost.

Not long to wait, there was a movement behind the bushes and from the bushes itself, two clone troopers emerged, who happened to be Silver and Shift, fully armed. Seeing this, apart from Daizan who only narrowed his eyes, the contingent automatically on guard with their respective bending stance.

Shift opened his helmet, raised his hand in surrender gesture and revealed himself. "It's me, the one who give you the message," said Shift.

The agent recognized him and shouted, "He is the messanger, don't attack!" said the agent. With the nod of confirmation from Grand Lotus himself, White Lotus lowered their guard, even though some members felt a bit uneasy with their vulnerable position.

"Thank you," said Shift with a nod to the group. Then he turned his head back to the line of tree and whistled loudly, revealed a group of people with different attire, there were people with the same attire as Shift's, another wore long robe. The White Lotus tensed once more with the appearance of more strangers with weird outfit and equipment. Shift put on the helmet again and not talked anymore.

"It's ok, they with us, they will not attack," said Silver, then he seemed to pushed a button in his helmet's ear position, talked to someone.

Again he spoke to the group, "Our leader has arrived, there they are," said Silver as he pointed to the sky where there were a Nu-class shuttle escorted by two LAAT gunship in both side, approached from the horizon. The ships landed, the shuttles door opened, revealed Admiral Ka Trell followed Vort and Nilo by his side and soon a by a team of Jedi and Havoc trooper behind them.

But what most suprised them is one of LAAT transformed into some kind of robotic living beings, stand tall almost 15 meters, towering them. Most of the White Lotus almost piss in their own pants by the sight. The transformers however, just stood there.

Felt intimidated by the both the transformer and the admiral presence, who almost 2 meters tall with muscular and monstrous body – for human –, the sentries nervously take a proctective gesture in front of their leader, ready to protect him with their lives in anything went wrong. Seeing this, the admiral raise his right arm and spoke.

"My name is Admiral Ka Trell and we are the delegation from Alliance of Unified Guardians" said Ka Trell offered his hand for a handshake, which accepted by the Grand Lotus.

"My name is Daizan, I am the Grand Lotus of the Order of the White Lotus, may I asked again your intention to offered us this alliance ?" asked Daizan.

Ka Trell took a deep breath and exhaled it, then spoke, "We are intended to formed an alliance between your Order and our Alliance. As you know, both of our purpose is to achieve and maintain peace, justice, and balance throughout the Universe. You can see Trident here," Ka Trell gestured to the transformer now named Trident, "is an Autobot transformer from planet Cybertron, one of our allies and there were more members with various backstories, former criminal, vigilante, broken people, genius from village, you'll see a lot of people have joined to our cause, some want to redeemed themselves, some just want to start a new and a better life, and we provide it to them.

"We also want to share the knowledge, wisdom, and science between us, increasing our treasure of knowledge so we can act accordingly to a certain situation happened in the members homeworld. I want to give you some tips in your quest to protect this world of yours. There is always a bigger threat than can be seen by your eyes, there is always a hidden secret beneath your sense, some are fascinating and helpful and useful, while some are better not to disturbed.

"You must not to face alone everything throwed at you. Yes, alone, you are strong, but together, we are stronger than ever. Together we can face any obstacles in our way, we preserve peace and we protect it with our life. We can unlock the secret of the universe and see how it progress with it. We can explores and experience a totally new way of life. You will also able to achieve your fullest potential in your respective arts, use it to protect your homeworld and those who are precious to you.

"And if you die with our cause in your heart, you will die with honor and dignity, wherever you are as you will also remembered as warrior, as protector, as hero, who was willing to give their life to create a better place for the next generation, not just for your homeworld, but for the entire universe as well."

The White Lotus is silenced yet awe-struck by the admiral's speech, contemplating every words and sentences within. And each of them looked to each other and finally all looked at their leader. The said leader sighed and spoke. "Well it seems the alliance is in order, but I want to asked you, you know we have an individual known as the Avatar as our keeper of peace and balance. The current Avatar is a Southern Water Tribe woman named Korra who disappeared a year ago and now we don't even know where she is, not to mentioned her family and friends. What about it ?"

"I aware of Avatar Korra's absence from her duty due to incident with an organization called the Red Lotus. I suggested we keep this alliance to ourselves for now, master Daizan, there will be time where we confronted the Avatar and her companion. Now, let's discuss our new alliance plan for the future." Said Ka Trell while offered him to joined with him in his quarter inside the ship.

Month 12, 14 SMY

It had been several months since the AUG and White Lotus alliance formed. Both members and personnels commonly called the alliance between the two as ' Lotus Alliance', 'LA', or simply 'The Alliance'. The first think agreed to be done was to constructed the infrastructure to facilitate and support all Alliance operations. Engineer corps from 21st fleet had designed the blueprint alongside local architects to aided the construction, alongside earthbenders to changed the shape of the soil itself. They also added brand new technologies, equipments, features, and gadgets for the new base. Although the 21st members must taught the White Lotus members how to operated this new equipments. Some of it was comlink, hologram, speeders, blaster weapons, and land vehicles. The droid such as astromech, protocol, medical, engineer, and pilot droid being a great addition to the Alliance. The entire construction and the technology orientation took 5 months, from basic introduction to the point where operating these techs became common.

The City of Ganada acted as a cover and economic & logistics supporter which in return, the Alliance must protect and guard the city. The new base itself located deep beneath the Uraki Detainment Facility which their named The Sanctuary. The base itself consisted a wide space to parked a Harrower-class Dreadnought, four frigates, corvettes, or cruisers, 3 squadron of starfighters (fighter and bomber), 3 gunship squadrons,several shuttles, and four to eight airships. The Sanctuary also able to holds dozens of ground vehicles, including several Juggernauts, AT-APs, AT-RTs, MBTs, APV, LTVs, and BARC speeders. Command center located in the deep side, indented in the wall of earths, also several facility such as barracks, depots, armory, and training area. There are also other features such as cafetaria, gym, detention cell, convention center, and meeting rooms. The entire base can accomodated up to 200.000 personnels.

They were also have Fauna Conservation Park which located mainly in Eriza Forest, surface landscape around the Uraki and inside the Sanctuary itself. The conservation park contained most of animals from all over the world. Some of the animal is flying bison, winged lemur, shirshu, polar-bear dog, buffalo yak, polar dog, snow-leopard caribou, yak, wolf, badgermole, saber-tooth moose, bear, armadillo bear, ostrich horse, fox antelope, tigerdillo, dragon, hawk, eagle, raven eagle, and komodo rhino. Most of the animals are tamed, bust some need extra efford to tame them. These animals used as transport, combat, guard, messenger, pet, friend, and partner by some of the members, some of members even have their own animal companion during their activity. They also want to preserved endangered animals like flying bison and dragon.

The other thing AUG's most concerning is the benders bending skills. Admitted by the Grand Lotus himself, the order's members, especially the senior members only focused in their own political maneuver to obtain certain ranks and name within the goverment officials. While younger members lack of combat & field mission often making the once feared society become a soft one, even a non-benders with Chi-blocking ability can defeated a Lotus members on one-on-one fight. So Vort and several slave-driver troopers and shinobis arranged a new training session to increased every single White Lotus members up to their fullest potential.

(Little flashback, 4 months ago)

Standing in front of the whole members of White Lotus agents, Vort began his speech, "I have heard that the White Lotus agents is among the best benders in the world, but your look right now, make me doubt that claim. You people just look like a security person, not the world's most skilled warriors," said Vort to the dumbfouded crowd.

"I will assess each of your bending ability and its fullest potential. Waterbenders!" shouted Vort which replied by a cry of "Oi!" from the said benders. "I want each of White Lotus waterbenders is a dangerous, deadly, yet elegant through your stances, you must be able to bend water your own will, you must able to produced water even in the most thin air because water is everywhere, on the ground, in the air, on your body, you must able to produce water wherever your are. The next step is to turned it into ice, so you don't need to be in artics to perform icebending. If you are determined, you can even reach the level of Ming Hua or Katara herself, making waterbenders once again deadly yet graceful." Ended Vort with eyes trailed to now determined waterbenders in from of him.

"Now Firebenders!" Vort exclaimed replied with shouts of "Hah!" then said, "Fire is about energy, your energy is limitless and can be increases through intense training. Lightning bending is common thing now but I want you to try to control it, from only a stun mode to a quick deadly strike. Intensify your firebending itself, when your hand is cuffed, I want you to breath the fire from your mouth like the Dragon of the West, I want you to make Fire Lord Zuko himself feel overwhelmed by only single one of you in an Agni Kai, with intense fireburst training even you will able to turned your fire into blue like a certain Fire Nation Princess," Vort finished with knowing smirk while he could swore those firebenders's eyes change into fire for a moment. Dismissed the though as soon as it come, Vort's attention now turned to the Earthbenders.

"Earthbenders!" the exclaimed returned with cry of "Huh!" Vort then clenched his fist then spoke, "You are strongwilled and determined, earthbenders art of bending had been expanding the last 70 years, now with hard work and strongwill like you, I never doubt earthbenders will able to survived even in the most harsh situation. Metalbending now is a must and every earthbenders must be a proficient and exceptional metalbenders that able to mold a metal in a matters of second.

"Lavebending however is a little bit tricky, only two people known to have this ability, the first one now is death, while the second is beyond our reach. I want at least 20 of you is a Lavabenders through your own way in how you to feel the earth and unlocked the most powerful sub-bending in an earthbender arsenal of skills," finished Vort for the earthbenders, now his attention to all in front of him, "Last but not least, alongside you will reach your fullest potential, you will joined us in hand-to-hand combat, physical exercise, friendly spar, and ranged weapon basic training, now get rest you all, tomorrow we began our training and hard work!" shouted Vort dismissing the crowd.

Now after months of training and exercise, all members of White Lotus able to performed every combat situation. Hand-to-hand combat alongside basic Chi-blocking with shinobis and commandos while studying their way to unlock the hidden power alongside teamwork exercise and fomation a team of three with a waterbender, a firebender, and an earthbender in each team. These teams soon began to performed missions and operations outside the base.

Another unique change happened was non-benders membership within the Order, with the non-benders training is focused in hand-to-hand combat, Chi-blocking, weapon mastery, ranged weapon training alongside their respective arts or certain skills. This non-benders not need to wait long to be able to conducted mission with their benders comrades, both have their own ways in completing the mission, yet went away just fine and can cooperated during joint mission and respected to each other.

Grand Lotus Daizan himself has made contact with Grand Master Bridger via hologram and explained the current condition between AUG and OWL – the OWL become a common term for both White Lotus agents and 21st personnels – they have established knowledge exchange between two organizations and indirectly, placed OWL in coordination with AUG. Daizan achieved Level 7 clearance to AUG's archives and files.

In the end of 12th Month of the year, the alliance has fully established to fullfil their duty and objectives. Even now the spirit portal in both Southern and Northern Poles are watched and protected by the Alliance. With more skilled and powerful members, additional new technology and equipments from AUG, and great additional personnels from AUG's 21st Battlegroup, they able to carried out their purpose without any restrain, not the Avatar, not the Air Nation, not the world's leader. Now after 70 years of stagnan progress within the Order, with the enlightment from AUG, they able to stand by themselves, watched the nations progressed from the shadow, waited for a right time.

A conversation was held between Daizan and Ka Trell. Both leader currently talked about trivial things such as White Lotus training exercise and member exchange until they were interrupted by the door slammed open revealed an OWL sentries panted in the doorway,

"I'm sorry for the interruption, sir. But our agent in Republic City had confirmed it. Kuvira had announced her lack of faith in the monarch and announced her own Earth Empire against the King, even though the king is not the king anymore," the agent muttered his last part so no one could heard it.

"Kuvira's Earth Empire movement has been more aggressive than become," said Trell while humming to himself, while the Grand Lotus seemed outraged,

"Kuvira's action cannot be tolerable anymore, Admiral, we have all resources we need and your warships can destroyed their forces in a blink of an eye! We must stopped her before this escalated! With Avatar Korra absence's no one to dare to opposed Kuvira!" exclaimed Daizan who seemed furious and ready to burned everything in his path. Though the agent seemed just stood there, inwardly frightened by his leader suddenly outburst. Who knows Grand Lotus has a bad temper.

Ignored Daizan's outburst, Trell asked the lone agent, "How about Korra's tracking, is there any result ?" Trell asked to the agent who just shook his head. Ka Trell sighed and dismissed the agent who quickly left the room.

Daizan then become a bit calmed and asked quitely, "I know if you didn't to mobilize your forces, even my agent wouldn't want either, so what is your plan ?" Trell closed his eyes and talked,

"Kuvira will do something she will regret in the end, let the event progressed for now and see where this all end. For now the safety of City of Ganada and village around it from thugs and bandits is our main priority, we will sent a team to observes both Earth Empire and the Avatar's companion act in this time of crisis. Contact our agents around the world, if there is Korra's sighting, report immediately, don't do any contact with her." Trell said with the Grand Lotus left the room to informed the new orders.

Month 2, 15 SMY, City of Zaofu

Two months later, the Alliance heard about Kuvira's advanced to Zaofu and dispatched a team of four to observes. Right now, in the cliff facing the vast plain, four full-cloaked figures watched down below with their hooded head on. Two parties facing each other, first is a whole army of Earth Empire military under the command of the Great Uniter, Kuvira, while on the the other side is the metal city of Zaofu led by Suyin Beifong. Both parties are tensed and unknown to them one of the party was planning a stupid plan to defeat the Kuvira and her Empire.

Morning had arrived while on top of the cliff, four figures from earlier watched a duel happened between the Great Uniter and a dark-skinned woman with short hair wore a green moss tank top.

"So tell me what happened down there," a voice female voice broke the silence while she ate her breakfast as watching now the green tank top girl being lifted by a metal plate tied to her ankles and lifted her to the air. The duel wasn't in green tank top girl advantage.

"Oh Nilo, good morning, didn't see you there," said Mole to the now Nilo. "Last night Suyin Beifong and her two sons tried to killed Kuvira in her bed, which is a trap, and now those three," said Mole pointed to the three figure imprisoned in a metal case which placed in front of Earth Empire's army, facing Zaofu."are placed in that metal case while the Avatar try to negotiate with Kuvira by duel, which you can see right now." Finished Mole boringly.

Mole is among the best earthbenders within White Lotus ranks who also able to both metalbending and lavabending, making him the best option for the recon mission if anything goes wrong in their mission to Zaofu. Even though their mission was only to observed the situation, then returned, and report back. He wore a White Lotus attire with modification in the pauldron's color which was metalic dark green with light and strong material. He has black hair and an equal black eyes.

"What?!" shouted another female within the team, a waterbender named Kiala. She is a dark skinned woman with hair in ponytail style. She wore the White Lotus attire with dark blue pauldron on her shoulder. She doesn't believed her eyes, and before she can started her train of though, her teammates called out her name.

"Kiala, what's wrong?" asked Vort who served as the team's leader.

"The Avatar was defeated," whispered the waterbender in shock. She didn't believe the should be most powerful individual on the planet could be defeated like that. Battered and humiliated all at once. No less in front of her enemy and worst, her allies.

Truth to be told, the other three members of the recon team looked at the plain before them and saw Avatar Korra trapped in an earth prison, and before Kuvira could landed a final blow to kill her, the airbenders who accompanied the Avatar intervened, blasting Kuvira away before she can execute her attack. Kuvira recovered and ordered her army to attacked the trio, the airbenders created a tornado to hold the charging army back. From the direction of the city, the recon team saw two people who seemed younger than the airbenders on top of a flying bison which flew to the battlefield right into the eye of the tornado.

"They try to save the Avatar," said Mole using his binocular to saw the scene take place. Not long after that, the flying bison flew out of the eye and head to horizon away from the city with now five people on top of the saddle.

"Zaofu is ours!" declared Kuvira from the distance with her army roared in victory. After that the army marched into the city to take control of it.

In the cliff, Commander Vort sighed. Then he take a hologram comlink and turned it on, revealed Admiral Trell and Grand Lotus Daizan. "I'm sorry to informed you, sir, but Zaofu is now under Kuvira's control, the entire Earth Kingdom is in her grasp, order sir ?" asked Vort in the end.

"Well that was predictable, return to Sanctuary at once, Commander. Your mission is finished, I want chronological report once you arrived at the base, Trell out." Said the admiral via hologram. The transmission was over and with a single signal, the team packed their gear & equipment and returned to the Sanctuary.

Month 5, 15 SMY, The Sanctuary

Three months had passed and Alliance intelligence and reconnaissance division proven very resourceful and informative with every updated events occured within those three months.

First, the news of Korra's return to Republic City to solved the problem of spirit forest in Republic City alongside her visits to Zaheer who was locked within one of White Lotus prison to conquered her fear and trauma. Later, the newly crowned Earth King Wu nearly kidnapped by Kuvira's men, but the attempt were able to stopped by Korra and her friends. Then the vines of spirit trees in Foggy Swamp were harvested by the Earth Empire for unknown reason. Later it was discovered that the vines used to created a mass destruction weapon yet they still didn't know what the target was.

Grand Lotus Daizan, Admiral Ka Trell, and several Alliance high ranking members were on a briefing with Grand Admiral Thrawn and Vice Admiral Eli Vanto via hologram.

"Your progress is fascinating, Admiral Trell, but I believe the Alliance movement seemed limited and strained, besides dealing with thugs or bandits, care to explain ?" said Thrawn to the admiral while others just stand quitely. But before Trell could answered the question, one of the communication operator interrupted the briefing.

"I'm sorry for the interruption, gentleman, but there is an emergency transmission from one of our field agent in Republic City," said the operator while the officers seemed fumed with the sudden interruption, "it is level 8, sir," continued the operator, made the entire room filled with gasp of shock and silence. Ka Trell looked at the Grand Admiral and asked the unspoken question for continue, while the Chiss Admiral understand it and nodded to the Besalisk Jedi who gestured back.

"Send it through, operator," said Trell as the operator nodded and another figure appeared in the hologram.

"This is Burrow-9 recon team in Republic City delivered this message with level 8 emergency status," said the figure who was a White Lotus agent.

"Burrow-9, you may deliver your message, what is it going on the Republic City ?" said the Ka Trell with seriousness.

"The City was invaded, sir, all civilian are evacuated from the city and United Republic Forces is on high alert at the city entrance," answered Burrow-9 with a immediately as he looked at the admiral alongside other officers shocked face, while Thrawn simply raised an eyebrow.

Ka Trell managed to composed himself. I think I know who it is. He once again asked, "Who is it ?" All occupants of the room also curious with who is brave to attacked the Republic head on.

"Kuvira, sir," was the field agent's only answered.
