Welcome back to a new chapter for Devil Of The Elemental Nations.
So the last place we left off was where Naruto had made it back to his home in Mist where coincidently the Festival Of Blades And Claws was taking place on the day of his arrival.
Choosing to not spoil the mood of the people he had under his protection, Naruto agrees to take part in the festival. But during said festival, Mei made her confession to the young Devil Hunter when she had him alone in her office.
Choosing to take it slow with her new relationship with Naruto they made out on her desk. But they were being watched by on Yakumo. The enigmatic succubus that Naruto has a contract with.
Feeling the sting of envy deep within her she feels nothing by grief that she herself can't experience that same level of passion that Mei can offer Naruto. She feels her own relationship with the Devil Hunter strain as she too wanted that type of relationship with him.
But what will happen to Naruto now that he has two women who genuinely love him? And what will he do with this mystery person that has made their first move?
All answers will be laid bare soon.

Chapter 8: Spark Of Uncertainty.
Waking up to a new morning, Naruto climbed out of bed within the second storey of his shop. It was 6:30 in the morning and everyone seemed to be completely hungover. Judging by the death-like looks he saw on the faces of those who passed by his shop, he could feel the pain they were in. Non-stop drinking of hard liquor will do that to a person without fail.
Luckily, he didn't have those drawbacks. Seeing that he was now full demon thanks to Sparda, Naruto never got drunk or got hangovers. Score 1 for demonic anatomy and power.
Running the water to the shower, Naruto climbed in and felt the warm water wash over him. He may be slightly oblivious to the advances of women, but he was no fool to how they felt and reacted around him.
At 4:30 in the morning, Yakumo attacked him out of nowhere and proceeded to have her way with him for 2 hours straight. Either something was seriously wrong with her. Or she was trying to make a point. But he'd deal with that at a later time. Right now he needed answers.
Firstly as to why someone was creating demonic crystals that granted powers to human. Secondly, why Yakumo has been acting rather strange lately. Could it be that she found out of his little experiments he had been doing to her behind her back? Has she figured out why he had been pumping his power into her womb?
It was unlikely as Yakumo was always unresponsive to him when they were done with her feedings. But it was still a possibility.
Opening her eyes as she laid on the king sized bed, Yakumo sat up and listened to the water of the shower running. Lowering her head slightly, she remembered what she saw last night. Mei and Naruto were making out in front of her very eyes. And it stung so badly.
Sure, at first their contract with each other was kept strictly professional. But overtime it grew into something more. She really did fall in love with Naruto.
She wanted Naruto so show her the same level of love he showed to Mei that night. But no matter how hard she tried. Her succubus nature kept getting the better of her.
Getting out of the bed and having her clothing materialize over her nubile body, she watched the door open with Naruto walking out with a towel around his waist. Steam coming off his body as fresh hot water dripped from his hair and trailed down the rest of his body.
"Morning Yakumo." spoke Naruto as he grabbed a shirt from the dresser followed by the rest of his clothing.
"Morning." she responded.
Before she could continue a knock on the door stopped her dead in her tracks. She really wanted to ask Naruto to show her the same level of passion he showed Mei but every time she tried, someone or something would just stop her.
And it was really annoying her.
After getting his boots on and ensuring he was proper, Naruto headed down the stairs and opened the door after unlocking it. Finding it to be a Mist ANBU, Naruto cleared his throat.
"Yes?" he spoke to the masked woman.
"Naruto Sparda. Lady Mizukage wishes to speak with you." spoke the ANBU.
"Sure, tell Mei I'll be there is 10 minutes." spoke Naruto with the ANBU vanishing and Yakumo flying down to the lobby of the shop.
"What does Mei want now?" barked Yakumo.
"Not sure." spoke Naruto heading over to the weapon's locker he had.
Opening it he grabbed both Rebellion and Yamato. Sliding the greatsword onto his back and katana onto his hip. Sliding his pistol into the holster in his trench-coat Naruto and Yakumo headed out the shop with Naruto locking it up once more.
Walking through the streets, they watched as the people cleaned up the messes they made last night. Sure it was one hell of a party, but they all agreed on the first time they did this they would all pitch in to clean up any and all messes from the festival.
"Morning, Naruto." called out Yagura as he threw an empty wine bottle into the trash bag.
"Morning." called back Naruto giving a brief wave to the former Mizukage.
Once arriving to the tower, Naruto headed up the stairs and to Mei's office.
Knocking twice on the door, Naruto heard the words he needed and turned the door knob.
"Morning Mei." spoke Naruto with Yakumo sitting rather posh like on the one chair which did surprise both Mei and Naruto as Yakumo never cared about the way she sat.
"Morning Naruto, Yakumo." spoke Mei in a trance at how Yakumo looked before snapping out of it.
"So, what new mission do you have?" was Naruto's question getting right down to business.
Sliding him an envelope, Mei leaned forward as Naruto opened the letter inside.
After a few minutes, Naruto threw the letter onto the table.
"You've got to be joking with me." he barked with Mei shaking her head.
"Afraid not." she spoke. "Konoha wants me to attend the Chunin Exams happening in 3 days time. I am requested to bring my strongest shinobi to participate in said exams."
"And you want me to be your bodyguard during these events." said Naruto in a huff piecing it all together.
Mei nodded her head and gave a subtle wink.
"Indeed, big boy." she purred letting it slip at the informal tone she was giving off to him. "During my time in Konoha, I need you to protect me. I will ensure you're paid handsomely for your efforts. And also, I will grant you a personal reward."
"You are aware of the hatred I hold to my old home." growled Naruto.
"I am, that is why I'm not asking you to try and bury the hatchet with them. I'm asking you to keep me safe during the events of the Chunin Exams." responded Mei.
Giving it a bit of thought, Naruto spoke.
"Very well." he agreed reluctantly. "I will be your bodyguard during the events of the Chunin Exams. But by no means will this make me chummy with the people who made my life hell."
"That I will agree on." spoke Mei with Naruto getting up and taking his leave with Yakumo following him.
And scene.
Sorry this chapter is a little short. Due to the December holidays rolling in and our clients wanting to go down to the coast for Christmas, things have been rather heavy in the office.
But here is the latest chapter.
So Yakumo begins to show more of what she really wants but finds herself in the same position as Mei. Unable to find the right way of saying it. While with Mei, it was confessing to him. With her it's a bit more tricky.
As well, Mei has asked Naruto be her bodyguard for her during the Chunin Exams. Not asking him to bury the hatchet with the people that have wronged him. But to ensure she is kept safe.
After all, Mei knows one thing about her agreement with the Devil Hunter. He may live in Mist, but he doesn't conform to their rules.
Meaning Naruto can do whatever he wants in Mist as long as it is to protect them. Be it torturing a suspected person trying to summon a demon from hell. Committing genocide to prevent the kidnapping of children. That type of thing.
Mei will turn a blind eye, depending on the severity of Naruto's actions.
What will Naruto do when he is back in his old home and with the knowledge that he is in the same village as his stuck up brother?
