Chapter 2 Reunion & Hired Into Secrecy
A.N. – This chapter focuses on the mystery man as well as the Lyoko Earth Defenders reunion. A new adventure awaits, but will they accept?
James Marshall – I don't see using this character in this story or any future stories at the moment. On the second, I'm not one to ask as I don't know of any author's that will do the suggestions. I would seek them out by searching for them and ask personally or ask others.

Guest – If you read this and you commented on my other story, I just wanted to say I'm glad you enjoyed the story. And it was more of a retelling then a custom story. So yeah, the external story contents will be low.
Short Summary – The former Lyoko Warriors reconnect in Paris. They decide to spend the weekend together, but also this gets the eye of one of their former friends. He arranges their kidnapping and offers them a chance to reclaim their glory. They have officially retired from the hero status, but after hearing who may be behind this, they may have no choice.

The day has finally arrived for all of the former Lyoko Warriors to reconnect as well as for the mystery man to get his chance. Both of them were waiting for this day. Each of them has a certain set of goals. The mystery man's goals are more for the greater good of everybody. For the warriors, it was to make sure their friendship wasn't broken.
Jeremy and Aelita set up a reservation at one of Paris' finest restaurants. It was the only place where all six of them could met up. William moved away from Paris after graduating. He wanted to leave any memories of the war and horror he experienced behind him. The time for the reservation was set for 6:30 PM.
Jeremy and Aelita arrived first to secure the table for their group. Jeremy was dressed in a light blue suit, while Aelita was dressed in a sparkly pink dress. The headed inside to wait for the other to arrive.
"Hello sir Reservation for six, Belpois" Jeremy told the man.
"Ah yes. Come this way" the man said as he led the pair away.
Yumi and Ulrich were next to arrive. Ulrich was dressed in a nice black suit. Yumi was dressed in a black dress and had her hair dressed up into a bun, to represent her Japanese heritage. They headed inside.
"Hello, we are meeting our friends here. Name should be Belpois" Ulrich said to the man.
"Ah yes, they just arrived. Follow me" the same man led to the table.
Odd and Melissa were last to arrive. Unlike everyone else, they arrived in a much fancier car. Odd's film career rocketed after the war and his honeymoon ended. Luckily for him and Aelita, their secret during the war was all cleared, or this would be a way more awkward reunion. Odd was dressed in a purple and yellow suit, like his normal and Lyoko attire. Melissa was dressed in a red sparkling dress. They both headed inside.
"Hello sir. We are looking for our friends and the leader Einstein, aka Belpois" Odd said.
"Ah yes, you two are the final ones to arrive. Follow me" the man said.
Finally, for the first time since the war ended, these six were finally reunited.
A set of four men were assembled in the director's room of the spy agency. The director was briefing them on the importance of this mission. He had good faith in them. They were the top stealth agents in the agency. They were code named 'The Night Warriors'.
"I don't think I need to stress the importance of this mission. We have only one chance to get them here. Use the gas, but only a significant amount, enough to keep them knocked out, but not to kill them. You are my best stealth team. Do not mess this up. Am I clear?" the director said.
"Yes sir!" all of them replied.
"Good, now wait till the night to move out. I want to avoid any unnecessary complications."
After all, six were given the drinks and their food, they started to reminisce about the past and talk about the year apart. The first year, with no Xana, Anti-Xana, security program, or Lyoko.
"So, how are all of you doing? I mean more mentally than anything" Aelita started.
"About the same as any ex-soldier who comes back from war" Yumi states.
"We all knew that was a possibility. But the world needed us" Jeremy said.
"The world would have never survived if it wasn't for us. At least they thanked us, for once, we didn't have to stick our necks out and get no reward for it" Ulrich said.
"There are always heroes in the shadows Ulrich. We just played that part for a significant amount of our lives" Odd said.
"I still think you four didn't get the kind of reward you deserve. One time reward for going around the world and stopping the evil that is the security program as well as seeing things that no one should see. I think the government should set you up for life" Melissa said.
"When a war is approaching, you don't hash out statistics such as rewards and benefits. You just focus on what's important. We were all stressed from the pressure that the security program was forcing upon us" Aelita said to backup what was happening before zero hour.
All of them returned from the altar as broken friends, but also the fate of the world hanging in the balance. The security program increasing his power in order to take out the warriors and gain control of their world. It worked, but the warriors began their own insurrection by assembling a resistance to help the world.
"What about before the war? All of our adventures battling the evil AI's known as Xana and Anti-Xana?" Ulrich asked.
"Worst for me, Xana escaping. I thought we were done."
"For me, William. Xana took his life from him and forced him against us. No one should have suffered like he did" Yumi said.
"For me, after we lost the skid. Without the ability to travel through the network, we only had one chance to stop Xana" Jeremy said.
"For me, the final battle against Anti-Xana. The stakes were too high, where losing wasn't an option" Odd said.
"For me, had nothing to do with Lyoko, it's more of a personal issue" Ulrich said looking at Yumi. She knew exactly what he was talking about. (Episode 53)
"Okay, let's move from depressing to best moments. For me, almost every moment of Lyoko. Being a hero was the best moment of my life. Also, meeting Melissa, but she was outside being a hero though" Odd said.
"Freeing Aelita. Breaking her from Xana's grasp and Lyoko was the best moment of my life" Jeremy said.
"For me, finding out my dad was alive. I though he was gone for good after Xana destroyed Lyoko. It sounds weird now, but Xana helped me reconnect with him. If William never threw me in the digital sea, I would never know the truth" Aelita said, almost tearing up at the thought.
"For me, exploring the net. Didn't think the home of Xana would be so beautiful" Yumi said.
"I don't know if I want to say my moment" Ulrich said.
"Go ahead. I think they need to know" Yumi reassured him.
"Okay, back before we freed Aelita. I was able to rescue Yumi from falling into the digital sea on the day of Xana bugging the supercomputer as his attack. But the thing is, we almost had our first kiss there in the desert sector."
"What?!" Odd said shocked. "How did I not know of this?!"
"You weren't looking, and we decided to keep it a secret till later. I guess we should have told you sooner."
"Well," Aelita said ending the moment. "Since we done in the past let's move to this past year."
"Me and Yumi both became martial arts instructors. I tried for soccer, but since my life was destroyed because of the whole faking our deaths situation, I was declined."
"It's nice that you have a successful life in something you two were passionate about."
"We helped Kyoto rebuild after the war along with other parts of Japan, and then spent our honeymoon in Tokyo. I tried to get pregnant on multiple occasions, but nothing" Yumi commented.
"I started to write about our whole life of fighting to save the world. The books are pretty successful" Jeremy said.
"We also used the money to buy and restore the Hermitage" Aelita added.
"I always had a feeling you'd live there princess" Odd said.
"Me and Jeremy went to a nice place in Paris after the rebuild, and just like Yumi, tried multiple times, but nothing."
"Maybe this is a sign they we are not ready yet" Ulrich said.
"Pretty weird way of showing it then," Odd replied. "Since we are on this subject, I started to make real movies. Hoping to land a motion picture deal."
"That's good for you Odd," Ulrich complimented him. "I had a feeling you would pursue that field."
"Yeah, as for our honeymoon, we went to Italy and just like the other two girls, we tried and failed."
"Seems like all of us had a baby fever during our honeymoons" Aelita commented.
"Well, it's getting late. We'll all spend the night at our place. Come on" Jeremy said, and the stealth group had their location to strike.
Everyone met again at the Hermitage and the gang was together once again, at least for the weekend. They all settled in for the night and when the midnight hour, the stealth group began their attack.
The four surrounded the house and one had sleeping gas in their hands. All of them had gas masks. One put the gas through the ventilation and another disabled security, while another lock picked the door. Once it was opened, the four entered and took Aelita, Odd, Ulrich, and Yumi back to the spy agency headquarters.
The friends all woke up to find themselves in a couch in front of a desk in an empty room. They were starting to think if this was another dream like the altar one.
"Either we were just kidnapped, or we are having some group fever dream again" Yumi said with concern in her voice.
"This is no dream; this is all real" a voice said behind them. They all turned around and saw a face they never thought they would see again.
"Agent Chris" Aelita said.
"It's good to see you four again."
"What's the deal here? We committed no crimes here!" Ulrich demanded.
"If I wanted you in jail, you would have woken up behind bars."
"Then why are we here?" Yumi asked.
"First, a little introduction. We don't have a lot of time. Right after the war, I was reinstated and put in charge of France's top spy agency firm. That's where you are now. I was also given a case as well. Sec def wanted my best agents on it. And I thought of you four."
"You're playing with fire here" Odd said.
"Yeah, we get caught, we end up in federal prison and who knows what will happen to you" Yumi added.
"I will be incarcerated and end up in prison with you. I know more then I'm letting on" Chris responded to Yumi's surprise. "The situation is this. After the war four top scientist groups went missing. We checked all death records and none of them were reported. We believe these scientists have something to do with the security program as they worked in his supercomputer labs. We need to find these missing scientists and stop whoever is behind this fast."
"I thought we were done with the security program" Yumi said with horror.
"He did say we haven't seen the last of him. He was right" Aelita said.
"Come to think of it, we never did face William in the tower" Ulrich said and all of them saw visions of just them and the security program in the tower during the final fight.
"Ulrich's right. William was missing" Odd said.
"Then he's primary suspect. So, are you in or are you out?" Chris asked.
They thought over it for a good minute. They didn't want to be involved with another government affair. But also, at the same time, if William is behind this and if he succeeds, then the results could be catastrophic.
"We're in, right guys?" Aelita asked.
They all nodded in response.
"Good, now your mission. Your mission is to find and locate the missing scientists as well as try to find our mastermind as well as his/her location. You will receive an update on active facilities from the war that are active now. They are probably where the scientists are located and are starting points. We will arrive shortly after you secure the location."
"One more thing. We need our outfits back."
"I will have my team do that. Also, one more thing, this is a covert op. Some black ops shit. No one, even your personal companions, can know of this. Is sec def was to find out, he would chop our heads and throw us in prison before you can say boo. Stay as secretive and hide in the shadows as much as you can. Not just for me, but for you also." Chris pressed a button, and the same gas was sprayed on the warriors. "Come by tomorrow for the full briefing and the beginning of your first real mission. See you soon. Remember tell nobody."
They all passed out just as Chris finished his sentence.
The Lyoko Warriors all woke up in the same positions as they went to sleep. Everyone but Jeremy and Melissa wondered if that was a real dream. Aelita felt something in her pocket of the pants she wore. She pulled out a note. Odd, Yumi, and Ulrich gathered around her.
"I know you would begin to wonder if what you saw was real or not. This note is to confirm what you saw was real. Sorry for the condition, but I couldn't reveal myself as well I think a written invite would be turned down. To find the base, find the fake rock near the Eiffel Tower and make sure no one is around and flip the rock to be transported to the underground base. See you tonight at 9PM. Don't be late! -Agent Chris" Aelita said, finishing the note.
"That was all real" Yumi said in realization.
"I guess we are back, not as warriors or Earth Defenders, but as spies" Odd said.
"Then that's our new name. We will be known as the Lyoko Spies" Aelita said.
The birth of the Lyoko Spies has begun.
A.N. – Agent Chris is back! As you know this will be a mystery story as well as adventure. This is only the first season. The second season will be more action packed as well as bringing a threat for Agent Chris as the Lyoko Spies deal with their own personal problem. Anyway, enough small spoilers.
