Chris was underneath one of the consoles on the bridge. The pop ups for steering the ship were a little slower than usual and he was determined to have it back to running order by the end of the day. He could not properly steer them through the stars, around asteroid belts, and get them into orbit over planets if he couldn't depend on his technology.
Tightening up a few more things, he replaced the relays and made sure the circuits and emitters were correctly working before he got up and sat in his chair.
Everything was now working properly.
