Chapter 6 Back to the Himalayas
A.N. – The Lyoko Spies return to the Himalayas. I know, I overused this, but this will be the last time they go here, I promise. Part 2 of the 4 locations begins!
James Marshall – Unfortunately, this story was planned months ahead, so any characters that can be used for main villains cannot be used.
Short Summary – The Lyoko Spies arrive once again in the Himalayas. They know that the supercomputer was located through the altar room. They decide to start there, but not everything is as it was last time though.
Disclaimer – I do not own Code Lyoko. I am just a fan of the show.
The Lyoko Spies arrived in the Himalayas and have also informed Agent Chris of their arrival. Since they arrived at night, they all decided to rent a room for tonight and plan for the expedition the following day. They went to the closest hotel nearest to the airport and got two rooms for this night.
Yumi and Ulrich were still considered married at this point. At this time, they tried to think like a group rather than as a couple. This strategy seemed to prove very effective during the war. Also, they both mutually agreed that this was the best way to go until they return home.
"So, anymore nightmares?" Yumi asks Ulrich.
"No, but I feel those nightmares will soon be replaced by new nightmares" Ulrich responds.
"New or old, our lives were fucked up from the start."
"I think our lives were chosen for us."
"Maybe, but why do we always get chosen to save the world? We want normal lives. Our teenage and part of our adulthood was chosen and ripped away from us."
"Look at how this could have gone South though. If Xana won, we would have died, and our children would avenge us by destroying Xana."
"I don't know what's worse, death or federal prison."
"Let's face it, death was staring us in the face everyday when zero hour happened."
"You never had what I had. Try being struck by one of my fans and bleeding out or having a spear pierce you slowly and then bleed out."
"You suffered worse, but looking at your record as a Lyoko Warrior, you always were the brave one, just not a very strategic one."
"So, what? I'm the damsel in distress?"
"If you are, then I'm always the one to rescue you, which I did, twice."
They both formed a smile and kissed each other before going to sleep.
Ever since the war, things between Odd and Aelita have been kind of mutual. They knew that their secret affair would not last, and they were both able to convince Jeremy and Melissa that this would never happen again. Now, they were both in an awkward situation.
"You know Odd, we're gonna have to figure this out, because this is probably not the last time we will be sleeping in the same room together" Aelita tells him.
"I know, it's just…after what happened in the Pacific…this just feels awkward. I mean you and me were sleeping with each other, and you and me betrayed Jeremy and Melissa" Odd replies.
"All our opinions of each other changed throughout the war. We went from distant, to betrayal, to secretive within a year."
"I never wanted to be the one though that would break the trust that Jeremy and Melissa had with you and me."
"Odd, we went over this. You found me at a low and picked me up. Maybe I got a little too carried away and wasn't thinking straight. I lost sight of who I really cared for and found comfort in you."
"Jeremy already proved he would do anything for you. He's the one who woke you up from William's trap in England."
"And he's done so much for me all the other times too. I guess…I just wanted him to be more affectionate towards me, kind of like how you were."
"You already know princess; I got that Italian charm. I can make any girl date me. I think the 'schoolgirl with a crush' side of you took over your mind out in the Pacific."
"No, it was in the snowstorm in Canada. I was having flashbacks to right when my mother vanished. All I saw was darkness, and you were the light that rescued me."
"You wanted it to be Jeremy, right?"
"Anyone, my complicated, fucked up life keeps coming back to haunt me left and right!"
Aelita was in tears at this point. Odd knew her life was messed up to a point of no return. Odd hugged her. It was the only way to comfort her.
"Calm down princess. That's your past, and it should only remain in the past. You and Jeremy have a bright future ahead and we'll all be there along side with you. Face it princess, you're stuck with us."
Odd knew Aelita's pain. His parents were his world and when they died, he felt he lost everything. And Aelita, for her, she lost everything. They were on equal terms.
"Now how do we deal with this awkward situation?"
"No idea."
"I have an idea," Aelita says with a smile. "But this may be going too far."
"What is it?" Aelita then takes her nightshirt off, revealing nothing but just her in her nude body.
"Aelita…this isn't right…and you know this!" Odd was freaking out.
"Odd…listen to me. This is a little extreme, but we were both comfortable like this during the war, right? So, we replicate that feeling for one night, and by tomorrow, this awkward feeling will be gone. No sex, no kissing, and no kind of sexual contact. This is just to help both of us."
Odd hoped Aelita was right with her theory. Odd did the same and was also nude too. They both got in to the bed and within minutes they were both passed out.
Yumi and Ulrich woke up next morning feeling relaxed and ready to tackle the second laboratory. They decide to go and check in on Odd and Aelita. They knocked and got no response.
"I know Odd sleeps like there is no tomorrow, but Aelita too" Ulrich comments.
"Maybe Aelita's in the bathroom?" Yumi suggests.
"Let's try this. Hey Odd, wake up or they'll be no breakfast!" Ulrich yells. Still no response. "Okay, that's a first. Usually, Odd would be at the door in two seconds."
"Let's see what those two are up too." Yumi took out her outfit changer gadget.
"Are you insane!? This is supposed to be a covert op! No one knows!"
"And no one's here. Trust me," Yumi changed into her Lyoko avatar outfit. "I'm gonna open the lock with my telekinesis. Open the door when I say."
"You can do that?"
"I can move the lock," Yumi used her ability, and she was able to see the door unlock. "Now!" Ulrich pushed on the door, and it was open. Yumi changed back into her normal clothes. When they walked towards the bed, they saw the two, sound asleep.
"Rough night?" Yumi asks.
"Hardly. Hey, you two, we got a world to save" Ulrich says to them as they start to wake up.
Aelita and Odd both remembered the night before and both grabbed the sheets to cover themselves.
"Come on, we got to go."
"Well, could you leave" Odd asks.
"Why?" Ulrich asks.
"Well, we kind of have no clothes on" Aelita responds.
"Aelita…" Yumi said and Aelita knew what was coming.
"Yumi, it's not what you think."
"I thought you were over this."
"Listen, me and him have been dealing with the awkwardness of us sleeping together last night. So, we replicated how we felt comfortable during the war and it apparently worked."
"Never again?"
"Only this once I promise."
"Okay, come on Ulrich." The two left the room and Aelita and Odd both got dressed and checked out with Yumi and Ulrich.
"So, where do we go now?" Aelita asks.
"To where the lab was. But we have to go back through the altar room" Ulrich answers.
"Let's go visit our old friends again" Odd says as they travel to where the previous ice supercomputer was. Once again, they were standing at the altar opening.
"Surprised no one's been inside yet" Aelita says.
"They probably think it blew up during the war" Ulrich answers.
"No one would think an altar lays inside" Yumi adds.
They enter the altar and walk down the same corridor. As they got closer, they had the same feeling that they had when they first discovered the altar. They saw the gates and walked through. They observed the walls of their legend. And this time they saw the final carving of the light coming at the top of the tower.
"Our legend ended" Ulrich says.
"It's hard to believe we were part of some ancient legend. We were destined to become what we are today" Yumi says next.
"Like I said, we were chosen."
They walked across what was once the altar. They looked down at the inactive altar and remembered what happened when the security program crossed from the network to the real world. They entered the now inactive lab. Before they continued forward, they all remembered that something was missing.
"Is it me, or was something missing from that altar room?" Aelita asked.
"Yeah, our friends the spirits of the altar seemed to go on vacation" Ulrich answers.
"Maybe because we did what we have to and completed the legend, they probably crossed over, seeing as there is nothing more to protect or do" Yumi suggests.
They continued to go down to the lab and eventually they all changed, not knowing what to expect. They continued down a corridor before eventually coming to a crevasse. Aelita nearly slipped. She screamed as Odd grabbed her by her shirt.
"I got you princess!" Odd said, struggling to pull Aelita back. He eventually did and Aelita fell on to his chest on her back, and Odd fell on his back. "We got stop doing this princess." Odd commented on the suggestive sexual position they were in.
"Stop putting too much power into saving me and maybe we won't have this issue" Aelita answers.
"Enough with the flirting you two, we got work to do" Ulrich tells them.
They continued along the edge of the cliff, until they reached an opening. They all climbed down and eventually came to a doorway to see the missing scientists working on a machine.
"We found our missing scientists" Aelita said whispering.
"Yeah" Odd adds.
"I'll inform Agent Chris" Yumi says.
Agent Chris receives the message and mobilizes his team to move out.
"He'll be here soon" Yumi informs them.
"Then let's get the story from them" Aelita says as they make themselves known to them.
"Ah, the Lyoko Earth Defenders, you come for us!" A scientist said.
"Yeah, but you can't tell anyone we did this" Ulrich warns him.
"If you do, the secretary of defense for France will have us prosecuted for engaging in government affairs" Odd adds.
"And we signed a deal with him to stay out of government affairs" Yumi adds.
"We weren't even supposed to come save you" Aelita adds.
"Then who did?" The scientist asks.
"Agent Chris, the one who recruited us. My husband Jeremy worked along side him in the war at the home front. He is the leader of the top spy agency in France, and he hired us to come and find you."
"Good thing you found us before he came back."
"Who?" Odd asks.
"I don't know. Some kind of man, or demon, or man-demon. Definitely not human, but he walks, talks, and acts like one."
"Evil William" Yumi says.
"Most likely" Aelita replies.
"He kidnapped us and forced us to work down here in the laboratory. We have not seen our families in months and they think we are probably dead by now" the scientist said.
"If he is behind this, why does he need all these scientists to resurrect the security program?" Yumi asks.
"Melissa said herself the program was not complete. If he is behind this, we need to find the main lab quickly and put a stop to whatever is going on there" Aelita adds.
"What happened to you?" Ulrich asks.
"I will tell you how we were kidnapped and taken here as well as what he wanted from us" the scientist begins.
