Chapter 7 Resurrection

A.N. – The second story here explains how the resurrection will work. But also what happened to the scientists after the war ended. Let's begin!

James Marshall – All these stories were all planned when I started years ago. I will add a new villain who had a small appearance in the past, but his role will be much larger in season 2. Also, for me to add a new villain or anything new to my original stories, they have to be relevant to what I am planning. Only I know what's going to happen. I do read the review and if I think it can fit, I'll add it. On the second review, I don't know if any of the scenarios will work. I'll keep them in mind if something pops up where I could use it.

Short Summary – A few scientists in the Himalayas were out of work as there was no laboratory to work in. They were eventually taken in by an unknown man who offered them work, but they did not know that this was a bad decision.

Disclaimer – I do not own Code Lyoko. I am just a fan of the show.

Continued From Last Chapter…

"I will start from the beginning. After our laboratory was destroyed, we were all out of work. We had nothing to provide for our families. We did all we could to stay alive but time was running out…"

Line Break

A group of four men were all sitting in a circle around a fire. They were all scientists who worked in the laboratory before the war began. But after the destruction of the lab, they had nothing to work on and all of their research was destroyed. They also had no way to get the supplies they needed for their families and soon all of them would either leave them or die.

"What do we do?" One of them asked.

"Something. We need money and soon" another on responded.

"How? The world isn't near done repairing itself from the war and the saviors are busy helping everyone repair it" the third one said.

"Maybe we should go elsewhere. This place is desolate and nothing here worth having" a fourth scientists suggested.

The four all threw ideas out there until a strange man approached them in a black coat with black snow pants.

"Who are you?" The first scientists asked him.

"Someone you don't know, but I am willing to help you" the man responded.

"How, and in which way?" The seconded wondered.

"I can give you work and in return I can give you a life. A life where everyone prospers and where you don't have to live in fear."

"But what do you want?" The third one asks.

"You have to work in my lab and do what you do best: research."

The four all looked at each other and wondered if this was the right decision.

"How can we trust you?" The fourth one asks as they all stand up ready to run or attack him.

"What will it take to convince you?"

"A lot. You're just some random guy…" The first scientist started.

"…And you're just four random scientist I found. Your arguments aren't strong enough to make my offer sound like some kind of scheme. Your families are dying and soon they're going to figure out that you cannot support them and go away." The four knew this and they all turned to him and accepted his offer. "Follow me."

"But the fire…" A scientists said.

The strange man turned and blew a gust of wind blowing out the fire immediately. "You were saying."

They all followed the strange man to the bottom of Mount Everest. He pulled out the key and inserted in into the mountain and it opened up. The four seemed suspicious of this.

"We're not going a step further until you tell us what is happening?!" A scientist yelled.

"This is a shortcut. Trust me. I know it seems weird, but this will provide us an access to your old laboratory."

"Our old lab? It was destroyed. You can't bring it back."

"Your old lab was inferior to what I want from you. I provided what you need exactly inside."

"We don't trust you."

"Do I need to make an example of disobedience?"

"This is all not okay. Weird mountain opening, and strange figures appearing out of nowhere."

"Okay then be it. There are two prices to disobedience. One is no promise from me and second is death." He suddenly stabbed the man through the chest with his sword and he fell as the others all gasped in shock. Then they started to run. The strange man used some black smoke to trap them in place. "Sorry but you're needed." He threw them into a wall, knocking them all out.

He then dragged all of them into the mountain before the entrance closed, trapping them.

The three woke up in the center of a newly constructed lab. They all looked at each other and found out they were chained to the floor. There was enough maneuverability to move between machines, but not enough to try an escape. Suddenly, a screen lit up with the mysterious man on it.

"Good, now that you have all woken up, let me inform you of your work. On these terminals, is information that I sent you. Your job is to continue the research and report all findings and breakthroughs to me using the encrypted address that I used to send you the data" The man said to them.

"How about we don't because you kidnapped us!" A scientist exclaims to him.

"Do I need to remind you of the punishment of disobedience?"

"What can you do when you're not here?"

"Let my associates convince you then." He snapped his fingers and 3 spider like monsters appeared with their legs out in firing position. "If there is any little spec of attempting to escape, these little guys will prevent that from happening."

"Why are you doing this?" A second one asked.

"I need information. I have 3 others working on other parts. Once all 4 have been completed, I can put my full plan into motion. Let me remind you, no one will rescue. The Lyoko Warriors that saved you before have retired fully. This time no one will stop me."

The screen vanished and one on the tarantulas fired a warning shot at the floor forcing the scientist to start working.

"We have been working nonstop and we have almost completed the research" the head scientist said.

"Where is your research?" Aelita said, but Ulrich stops her.

"Hold on. He said there were tarantulas guarding them, but there is no monsters here" Ulrich says, and looks around suspiciously.

Suddenly, he is hit by laser and knocked back.

"Ulrich!" Yumi exclaims.

"Here comes our problem" Odd says as the three tarantulas enter the room.

They all get into firing position and start to fire.

"Get down!" Aelita tells the scientists and they all duck.

Yumi runs over to check on Ulrich. He groans as he starts to come to.

"You okay?" Yumi asks.

"I don't know if okay is the right word, but I'm alive. I'm not bleeding right?" Ulrich responds.

"No thankfully. Can you fight?"

"Not at this moment."

Aelita and Odd were trying to handle the tarantulas on their own but were unsuccessful.

"We're not gonna make it" Aelita says, concerned.

"We will. Stay confident" Odd tells, reassuringly.

"They need us!" Yumi says with worry.

"Go! Help them. I join you if I can" Ulrich tells her.

Yumi runs into battle and throws her fans. One misses but the other strikes the eye and it falls on the floor, deactivated.

The other two continued to fire and the Lyoko Spies went into defensive mode unable to try to move forward. Ulrich began to stand up and he saw the situation the others were in. He decided it was time to act.

"Super sprint!" Ulrich said as he ran up to them. He stabbed one and jumped to the other one doing a front flip while stabbing the target as well disabling both.

"Nice job, good buddy!" Odd congratulates him.

"Nice to see it didn't hurt you" Aelita says to him.

"It will take more than one laser to keep me down" Ulrich responds.

Aelita went to the research terminal and found one piece of info that was helpful. "The sun will be at it's zenith on this day at this time. Is this part of the resurrection part." She went to where the scientist were being freed. "What were you researching exactly?"

"Something about trying to bring life back. We found-" The head scientist began.

"The sun's zenith."

"Yes, but not only that. We found multiple times that the sun reaches a zenith above the Earth."

"Did you send all that?"

"We had too."

"Then we are running out of time. We need to find the others and find the primary lab quickly."

"Did you find anything else?" Yumi asks.

"Yeah, two letters. It looked N to S."

"N to S?" Ulrich asked.

"Like North to South princess?" Odd adds.

"Most likely. But we need more to find the exact location."

Suddenly, a fourth tarantula appeared behind them ready to kill them. But, they heard a gun shot and the monster fell to a ground and they saw Agent Chris with his gun pointed at where the tarantula was. And agents were behind him.

"Go! Go! Go!" One of them said and went to sweep the lab of any remaining monsters and anybody else that may be here.

"Looks like we got here at the right time" Agent Chris said to them as he put his gun back in its holster.

"Yeah, and we go some more information" Aelita told him.

"No location yet?"

"No but were working on it."

"Okay, your mission is half over. Take a break and figure where to go next. We'll return the scientist to their families if they're still here."

The Lyoko Spies all met up in the lobby of where they were staying and discussed where to go next.

"Well, we are closer to Siberia, so before we head to the Amazon, we should go there" Aelita suggested.

"Okay, then it's decided. Tomorrow, we head out to Siberia" Ulrich says and they all nod in response.

Aelita wanted to talk to Odd later that night about one of the previous nights.

"Hey Odd, you got a minute?" Aelita asks.

"What is it princess?" Odd responds.

"Have you felt we got past the elephant in the room?"

"In other words?"

"That night, where I wanted to try to make things less awkward between us."

"I think we got past it. I think things will be less awkward between us from now on."

"You think so?"

"Yeah. Admit it, it was war, and we both kind of took advantage of each other while we were both vulnerable. I think we have grown up a lot and grown closer to our significant others after the war."

"I feel that way with Jeremy. I still feel horrible for betraying him like I did."

"Me with Melissa. She put 100% of her trust in me and I threw it away which drove her to side with the enemy."

"On the outside. On the inside, she cared deeply for you. The security program plagued her mind with guilt and sadness, which turned to anger and hatred. Her emotions were talking too loudly, and she couldn't hear her heart."

"I consider myself lucky that she didn't lose all faith in me."

"It because she knew you were talking from your heart and meant every word you said."

"What do you say? Ready to complete the mission?"

"Let's do it."

Outside, Yumi and Ulrich were listening. "At least those two worked out their differences" Ulrich said.

"Aelita always has unconventional ways of dealing with situations. It drives her crazy sometimes, but it gets the job done," Yumi responds. "Come on. We got a long day tomorrow."

The two headed to a room to get some rest for the journey to the third lab.

The mysterious figure sat in a chair as he compiled the data from the second lab to the program.

"Perfect. Soon, I will resurrect my master and we will exact our revenge. Vengeance…shall…be…ours!"

A.N. – Two labs down, two to go. In case you're wondering, this season will be story building and the next season will be more action packed, I promise. Kind of like how seasons 1 and 2 of the show worked. Season 1 built the foundation and season 2 was more action packed. PM me with story ideas if you have any! Don't forget to review with questions or comments! I will respond! Stay safe and healthy out there! As always, till next time! See ya! -lyokowarrior97
