Chapter 8 Hidden Within
A.N. – This chapter name might be confusing, but it still relates to the third lab. But finding might be the least of the Lyoko Spies worries. Let's begin!

Short Summary – The Lyoko Spies arrive in Siberia in search of the third laboratory. But upon searching, they find nothing or even an entrance. With time and heat running out, can they find the lab or die due to the subzero temps in Siberia?
Disclaimer – I do not own Code Lyoko. I am just a fan of the show.
In the morning, following the end of the second lab, the Lyoko Spies all head out to Siberia. They were waiting at the airport for their flight to be ready.
"What's taking so long?" Ulrich asks.
"It's Siberia Ulrich. All it is, is snow and ice" Aelita responded.
"Yeah, but the longer we wait, the more time we give this mysterious villain to do whatever he wants."
"Ulrich's right, but we can't fight any thing we have no control over. It's not like the war where we can get our vehicles" Yumi says.
Suddenly, a message came over. "Due to weather conditions, all flights to Siberia are delayed until further notice" the announcer said.
"Okay, now I mad" Ulrich said.
"I'm calling Chris" Aelita says.
Back in the main lab, the main villain was laughing. "Excellent! Now with all flights to Siberia halted, I have more time to get the data I need for my master's resurrection before they arrive." He glances over to the screen. "And the program is almost complete."
Agent Chris was waiting for a call about the third lab. He had concerns about this one, but he knew they would be able to find it and put a stop to whatever was going on. He suddenly had a call come through. He pressed a button.
"Agent Chris here" he said.
"Chris, it's Aelita. We have a problem."
"What is it?"
"All flights to Siberia are halted. We're stuck here and God knows how long until the flights will be ready."
Agent Chris knew something sounded suspicious. "Okay, number one this is not right. And number two, I think our main villain is behind this."
"Think he created a snowstorm?'
"No, but the Siberian flights should still come through. I'm sending a private plane that can get you to Siberia. I need you to stop whatever is going on there fast."
"Okay. Thanks."
Aelita and Chris both hung up and Chris called a private jet to get to where the Lyoko Spies were.
"Chris is sending us a plane. He believes that whoever is behind this is also behind the closures" Aelita tells the others.
"This did have suspicious written all over it" Yumi responds.
"Just means our main villain is scared of us finding and stopping him before his plan is complete" Odd says.
"But that also means, he's watching us" Aelita adds, striking concern into all of them.
Within a half hour a government jet pulled into the runway and the pilot came to get the Lyoko Spies. They all boarded and headed to the Siberian wasteland.
"Who are you?" Aelita asks.
"I'm a private pilot. Good for you Agent Chris vouched for you. I don't just fly anybody" the pilot responded.
He started up the jet and they took off the Siberia.
After an hour flight they were over Siberia, but they could not land. There were problems outside.
"Everyone to the pilot cabin immediately!" The pilot told them, and they rushed expecting to see a nasty surprise, but not a natural disaster. "I can't land the plane. I can't see a damn thing!"
The snowstorm outside was a complete white-out. There was no way they were gonna land or the pilot was ever going to attempt a safe landing.
"It's a nightmare" Aelita said.
"You're going to have to jump. If not, we could all die in this plane."
"You got parachutes?" Ulrich asked.
"Yeah, enough for all of you. Get them and get out. I'm heading out of here as soon as you all jump. Do it quickly or I might not make it out."
The Lyoko Spies went to the back and opened the compartment where the parachutes were. They were suddenly thrown back by the turbulence that the storm was doing to the plane. They each grabbed a parachute, and the cabin was depressurized. Ulrich opens the door, and they prepare to jump.
"I'll see you guys on the ground!" Ulrich yelled as he jumped. He was followed by Yumi and then Aelita. Odd came out running.
"BONZAI!" Odd yelled as the four fell below the clouds and to ground level. They all stared down at the ground wondering when to pull the cord.
"How do we know when to pull?!" Yumi screamed.
Aelita glanced back up. "Pull now! We're below the clouds!" Everyone looked at her with concern again. "Trust me!"
Everyone pulled their cords at the same time and their descent became slower and eventually they reached the ground level. Each one used the device Chris gave them to change into snow gear.
"We got to find the lab before we freeze" Yumi said.
"Then let's move!" Odd said as they departed into the storm.
After hours of wondering, the Lyoko Spies found nothing of interest. All that surrounded them was snow, a desolate wasteland, and nothing for miles.
"Are we sure there is a lab out here?" Yumi asks.
"Positive. I checked Chris' intel on this, and it checks out. Siberian scientists went missing a few days after the war ended" Aelita responds.
"Then where is it?" Ulrich asks.
"It has to be somewhere out here."
They continued their trek through the wasteland, but to no anvil.
"This is pointless! There is no lab out here!" Ulrich exclaims.
"There has to be. It's just hidden. Remember, he didn't want us here, so he probably hid it to make it almost impossible for us to find."
After about thirty minutes of walking, something was about to happen. A security probe popped out of the snow and saw the spies approaching. The main villain was watching them and planned to finish them here.
"Time for some action. Experience my new winter-based machinery" the villain said as he activated the monsters.
The spies heard something happening around them.
"Are we standing on ice?" Yumi asks as the cracking sound continues.
"No, we shouldn't. But also, this sounds more like glacier movement."
Suddenly, three krabs popped up out of the ground.
"Hey, look. It's our old friends the krabs" Odd points out.
"Well, this confirms our villain has some connection to the security program" Ulrich adds.
The three krabs started to fire and Lyoko Spies avoided the attacks. They looked to see where they were, but with the storm it made it almost impossible to see where the monsters were lurking.
"We're fighting blind!" Ulrich exclaimed.
"Not to mention, also defenseless! We don't have our snowsuits that Jeremy gave us!" Yumi added.
"One of us has to change into our avatar, or we'll be killed by our old friends!" Odd says.
Ulrich activates his outfit changer and rushes them. "Super sprint!" He runs up to one and jumps on top once he sees it and strikes the target. "Impact!" The krab falls to the ground and the other two start to target him. "Triplicate!" Ulrich splits into three. "Let's go!" The three target the remaining two krabs. One of the clones fall. And the two jump, land, and strike. The two fall to the ground. "Fusion!" Ulrich then turns back to his snow outfit.
"Nice job, good buddy!" Odd congratulates him.
"Thanks," Ulrich replies. "We still have to find the lab."
"If there are monsters, it means we're close" Aelita states.
The Lyoko Spies continued to try to find the lab. Eventually they traveled for so long they all fell due to exhaustion. Their visions all faded to black, and they all thought this was the end. Suddenly, a hatch opened from under the snow, and pulled all four into the secret underground lab.
Hours passed and the Lyoko Spies woke up, found themselves hooked up to feeding tubes and IV's. But also, their wrists and ankles were chained to the wall.
"Where the hell are we?" Ulrich asked weakly.
"My guess, either a dungeon, an eternal hell, or the secret lab" Aelita responds.
"If this is the lab, then why did they tie us up? We're here to help them" Yumi asks.
"Don't forget the other two. They were forced against their will. We all passed out cold. If they rescued us, it wasn't so we could save them. It was to capture us for the villain."
"Well, they succeeded in that department" Odd adds.
"Question is now, what happens to us?" Ulrich asks.
"I think we'll find out soon, once they know we are awake" Aelita responds.
Hours passed and eventually someone walked in and talked to them.
"I see you finally woke up" the man said.
"We've been awake for at least a couple of hours" Ulrich stated.
"So, you're the one who captured us?" Aelita asked.
"Yes, but I'm also in the same boat" the man responded.
"How?"
"Because I'm the main scientist that went missing with my colleagues."
"So, that's why we are alive."
"Exactly, I kept you alive, but I also did it because the one who captured us wants you alive."
"So, you gonna turn us over to him?" Yumi asks.
"No, but I can't help you either."
"Why?" Ulrich asked.
"This place is crawling with troops. If I were to do anything, they would come in and kill all of us."
"He wants us dead just as much as alive" Aelita says.
"My guess, he wants to kill you himself. Look you in the eye as you die."
"Any hints?"
"The only thing I can tell you is there are no releases, but I do have this," he places a knife on the table. He then walks up to Yumi. "And these." He places Yumi's telekinesis eyebrows on her forehead. "Maybe you can make this work."
"But first, tell us what you are doing here?"
"We were working on anti-virus programs, but the programs were all based around complicated coding. Took us a few weeks to decode and start what he wanted from us."
"Where were you in your research?"
"We almost found something that worked. It is almost complete."
"Whatever you do, don't send it!" Yumi warned him.
"You don't know what will happen if we don't" the scientist had a concerned look on his face.
"I think we all do, better than you know" Aelita responds.
"Just help us, please" the man whispers to them.
"We will" Aelita whispers back.
The man leaves and the Lyoko Spies consider how to escape.
"Now what?" Odd asks.
"I think I can use my telekinesis to lift that knife" Yumi says.
She closes her eyes and starts to concentrate. He body start to glow a light pink and the knife starts to levitate off the table and towards them. Yumi grips the knife and stops using her power. She uses the tip to try to pick the lock. She is successful and her wrists are released. She does her ankles and then releases everyone else. Everyone then grabbed their gear in the room and changed into their avatars.
"I'll give Chris the signal" Aelita said.
"Alright, are we ready?" Ulrich asked.
"Ready" they all replied.
"Then let's do this."
He opened the door and let the battle commence.
A.N. – And a chapter of action is next. Monster will be destroyed, scientist will be rescued, explosions are gonna happen. An action-packed chapter is next. PM me with story ideas if you have any!
