After Pulaski had checked on Worf to make sure that his injuries weren't life-threatening, everyone except Wesley and Worf left the holodeck.

Worf turned to the teenager. "I was told that this was your idea."

"Yeah," Wesley said. "It was."

"Please do not ever do anything like this again." Worf said, before adding, "Though I have to admit that this was... very thoughtful of you."

"Well," Wesley replied hesitantly, "I know I've been lonely on and off lately without my mom around... but all of the senior staff have been helping me through it. I figured, if there was a way that I could help if one of my friends felt lonely, too..." he trailed off. "Sorry, that probably sounds silly."

"No," Worf said. Somehow it hadn't occurred to him that Wesley might be missing his mother. He realized that maybe he wasn't as supportive to his friends as he should be. "I understand. Also," Worf added somewhat awkwardly, "if you ever feel frustrated and need to let out some steam, I have a few holodeck programs I can recommend."

Wesley smiled. "Thanks, Worf."
