"Geordi," Riker said as they warped away from the Pakleds, "you'd better get to sickbay or Dr. Pulaski will have my head."
"May I escort him, Commander?" Data asked.
"Certainly."
"Are you feeling alright?" Data inquired once he and Geordi were on the turbolift.
"I think I'll be okay, Data," Geordi reassured his friend.
"It appears we underestimated the Pakleds," Data observed.
"Yeah, you got that right," Geordi said, shaking his head.
"However, there is something I do not understand."
"And what's that?"
"Why would they go to the trouble of stealing technology when they do not know how to maintain it?"
"Well, I imagine that's why they kidnapped me," Geordi replied. "In any case, laziness and greed can lead you to do some pretty stupid things."
The turbolift opened in front of sickbay and Geordi stepped out. "Thanks for the company, Data."
"Of course."
