Picard had the Mintakan tapestry spread out on the desk in his ready room. Looking at Data, he said, "You know, this whole business with the Mintakans reminds me of the incident on Drema IV."

"With Sarjenka, sir."

"Yes," Picard said. "Tell me, Data, do you ever think about her and her family?"

"Sometimes," Data replied. "Mostly, I hope that she has found friends and companionship, as she was lonely during our correspondence."

"That's understandable," Picard said. He looked at the tapestry again, reflecting. "It is regrettable when the Prime Directive is broken, but the experiences that happen because of it are always so rich."

"I would have to agree, Captain."
