The Horga'hn was sitting on the captain's desk when Riker entered the ready-room.
"Your... souvenir, Number One," Picard said, indicating the object with a wave when Riker entered.
The commander picked it up with a grin. "Did it help you at all?" he asked wryly.
"What?" Picard asked. Incredulous, he shook his head. "You know I am not the type to pursue romantic flights of fancy."
Riker raised his eyebrows. He had read the captain's report on the Tox Uthat and found it difficult to believe that Picard had done all of that adventuring completely on his own. But he trusted the captain enough to believe that he wouldn't leave out anything of professional importance.
Riker made to leave with the Horga'hn cradled in his arm. "Well, I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation in any case, Captain."
"Next time you want a souvenir, feel free to use your stipend to get it yourself," Picard called after him, and the commander just laughed.
