"Data," Picard said to the android in his ready-room, "were you able to put the tracking probe in Tin Man before you found yourself back on the Enterprise?"
"I was unable to. The organism resisted, and if I may say so, Captain, I do not think that Tin Man or Tam Elbrun wish to be found, wherever they went."
Picard shook his head. "If it wasn't an order from Starfleet Command, I wouldn't have asked you to do it," he said. "Anyhow, I'm glad. They deserve to be left to themselves, to be at peace."
"I would have to agree, sir."
