They both awoke the next morning to the sound of an alarm going off. Untangling themselves and groaning Amanda reached over and switched the alarm off, Turning around and saying Buenos días baby. Nick grinned and replied, Buenos días mi cariño, giving her a kiss, and pulling her closer, he asked what time is it? To which she replied 6.30 and he groaned, why so early Rollins? "well I usually go out for a jog before work, but I think I've had enough exercise this weekend," grinning and cupping his face leaning in for another kiss. She felt a familiar feeling pressing against her below, and she smiled more, saying, always ready, aren't you? He blushed and said, actually no, not usually, this is new to me, but I like it, pressing closer to her and deepening their kiss. How about some more exercise before work mi cariño. She walked over to the coffee machine and poured herself one, she shouted to Olivia and Amaro did they want one, both said sure why not. Olivia came out to the shared area and she asked how their weekends were, Amanda smiling said, yeah, it was really nice, got some shopping done and just had a nice chilled weekend. Nick trying to keep a straight face said yeah it was great, got my Christmas shopping finished, and finally got my Christmas tree up. Amanda smiled and turned away not wanting Olivia to see. They then asked how her weekend went and she said good. Just me and Noah all weekend, we put our tree up too, he's really excited for Santa coming. She had taken him to the mall to visit him and has talked about him none stop since. She laughed. She said, this will be my 1st Christmas as a parent, I'm excited too. Nick asked her had she finished Christmas shopping, to which she said no, I've just 2 more things to pick up for Noah and that's me finished. What's your plans for Christmas Nick, Olivia asked, he looked at Rollins and her smile had gone, he explained his plans and Olivia said well make sure you rest when you get back, I'm exhausted just listening to you. What about you Rollins? It was Nick's turn to lose his smile, as Amanda said how she had put her name down to be on call, as she had no plans. Benson said, well not this year Rollins, you can come over and spend Christmas with me and Noah. I'm not having you sitting here on your own on Christmas day. Amanda started to protest, but Olivia said, no Rollins it's decided, you can be at mine until you get a call. Amanda smiled and said thanks Liv. Fin walked in saying his good mornings and apologising for being late, his car wouldn't start. Benson said seems to be a common occurrence this morning, Nick cleared his throat, and Amanda smiled and carried on drinking her coffee.

A case came in and they were back to normal, Fin and Benson were taking the victims statement while Rollins and Amaro were checking up on alibies and CCTV cameras. When Fin came back Nick was leaning over Amanda's shoulder looking at the computer screen. Walking over he asked if they had anything, and Nick stood up quickly saying yeah, come have a look at this. Benson appeared and had a look saying OK Rollins, Amaro you two head down to the park and ask around, Fin and I will go to the store and see if we can turn up anything. They all grabbed their coats and headed for the lift. In the car heading to the park Nick said, I'm glad you'll not be alone on Christmas day now bonita. Amanda shift gears and said yeah, I was looking forward to staring at my Christmas tree though. She turned and gave him a cheeky smile. He smiled back, put his hand on her leg and said, well there's plenty of time for that, but I'm still happier knowing you'll not be alone. They reached the park, wrapped up in their scarves and walked in. There was nothing new from the park, as they walked back to the car Amanda said, well that was a nice walk anyway if nothing else, Nick said yeah, would have been nicer with my arm around you though, smirking. She looked at him and said easy boy, there's plenty of time for walks in the park for us.

Fin and Benson had more success when they arrived back, and what was even more welcome was the coffee they had brought back for them. You two look cold said Benson, yeah, I am replied Amanda, there's 2 cups of coffee for you both waiting in my office. Oh you're the best came from Amanda, Nick gave a thank you. You're welcome she called after them. Smiling.

The rest of the shift was busy, this wasn't going to be a straightforward open and close case. Benson said she would have to leave soon to let Lucy go early, she had plans with her mum, some Christmas tradition, Amaro and Rollins smiled but said nothing. Benson noticed though. Barba appeared, saying nothing else could be done until the morning, Fin said he wanted to finish off this lead then he was heading home. Benson asked if he wanted a lift, and he said, no no it's OK you go get the little man sorted, Barba said he would give him a lift home. Amanda said, Nick you near done and I can drop you off on the way. Yes I'm done, clicking the mouse, I'll get my stuff and I'm ready. They all left together, saying their goodnights in the garage.

On the way home, Amanda said, so what's the plans for tonight. Nick replied staying my house. I want a photo of us under my tree tonight. She said OK smiling but let me stop at mine to get some clothes. He smiled saying Ok, but be quick. Later that night they got their photo beside the tree, Amanda made sure that the Ornament could be seen in it, then they carried out their new tradition, making love under the twinkling lights of the tree.
