"Her loyalty was... misguided," Worf said gruffly to Data in Ten Forward, who was still turning over Ishara's implant in his hands. "Allegiance can be a powerful drug. I can tell you almost certainly that she was promised something by Hayne. If not power, then other privileges not easily obtained."
"The fear of putting her trust in unknown entities – us, on the Enterprise – was too great," Data said.
"Correct. We were too disruptive, perhaps. Though her faction espoused violence, they provided for her needs. They were reliable." The Klingon took a long drink from his prune juice. "We told her things she did not want to hear about her sister, as well."
Data paused a moment, processing what Worf had just said. "Was she jealous? Is it possible that, hearing stories about how brave Tasha was, Ishara thought that she could make those same sacrifices in a different way?"
Worf shook his head. "It is hard to say. Her motives were obviously twisted by many emotions."
The android nodded as the Klingon mentioned emotions. "That is understandable. Thank you for your insight, Worf."
"You are welcome."
