A/N: Thank you for the feedback on the last chapters. It was a little daunting to write some of those scenes, but I am happy how it turned out.

Chapter 15
Tuesday Morning
Callie's POV
When Callie woke up the next morning, she was a little confused about where she was. She blinked the sleep out of her eyes and stretched her body. The soreness that accompanied that stretch reminded her about the night that she had. Thinking about it made her smile. Arizona and Callie had woken a few times during the night and proceeded to bring each other to the highest peaks over and over again. Callie eventually forced the blonde to go to bed at around 2am. It killed her to end their night, but she knew that Arizona had an important day to get to.
Callie rolled over and put her arm out to reach for Arizona but was met with the feeling of cold sheets. Callie quickly sat up and looked around the room. All of Arizona's stuff was gone. What the hell? They had just spent a wonderful night together and she just left? Callie looked over at the clock and saw that it was 8am. When she got up to use the bathroom, feeling majorly pissed off, she noticed a note that seemed to have fallen off Arizona's side of the bed. She picked it up and read the contents.
Calliope,
I am so sorry that I slipped out without saying goodbye. My Mom started calling me at 6 this morning and didn't seem to want to stop. I didn't want to wake you up, but I couldn't risk falling asleep and not waking up in time. You looked so peaceful sleeping waking you just felt wrong. The alarm clock on the side table is set for 8:30. If that is what woke you up, and it is too early, I do apologize. I didn't want you to be late for work. The last thing I wanted was to leave, trust me. Last night was absolutely perfect. You are absolutely perfect. I would really like to see you again soon. I will text you later today.
Missing you already,
Arizona
As disappointed as Callie was that Arizona had to leave, she couldn't blame her. Also, the fact that Arizona set the alarm and left a note made her feel a little better. Callie headed to the bathroom and took a quick shower. She had to wash off last night. She definitely smelled like sex. Once she finished her shower, she headed towards the kitchen suite. Callie looked over at the clock and realized it was 8:25. She had to get downstairs, but she was starving. Just then, she heard a knock on the door.
When Callie opened the door room service stood on the other side. She saw a cart full of food and coffee. When Callie looked at the bell boy she was clearly confused. The bell boy handed Callie a note and left with a "have a good day." Callie wheeled the cart into the suite and looked at the note.
I know I worked up an appetite last night, I figured you did too ;). Have an awesome day!
-Arizona
Oookay. Breakfast delivered with coffee. The fact she woke up alone was forgiven. Callie picked up a piece of bacon and poured some coffee from the carafe. She reached for her phone and saw she had a missed text from Aria and two from Mark. Both asking about her date. Marks second asking what time she would be getting started today. She quickly fired off vague responses to both and then pulled up the number that she had been looking for.
Good Morning. Thank you for the note, and breakfast. I missed you this morning, but I understand why you had to go. I had the best time last night. Good luck today. I will be rooting for you. - C
Callie's phone quickly buzzed with a response.
I missed you too. I will definitely make it up to you next time ;) - AZ
Callie couldn't help but laugh at that response. She had to tease the blonde.
Next time? That is a bit presumptions Ms. Robbins. -C
Well Calliope, it did seem like you enjoyed yourself last night. Unless I am remembering it incorrectly. I know I did. -A
Oh, I really enjoyed last night. I was just joking with you. -C
Well that's a relief. I do have to get ready to go. Have a great day Calliope. Hopefully I see you around.
Callie smiled and put her phone away. How was this woman real? She finished her breakfast and headed out to start her day. Her mind couldn't help but wander to Arizona and the night they shared.
Arizona's POV
Arizona hated that she couldn't be there with Callie when she woke up this morning. Her mother was frantically calling her at 6 am wondering where she was and what she wanted for breakfast. Her mother was the queen of mood killing. She got herself together, kissed Callie's head, and made her way up to her suite.
When Arizona walked in her mother was cooking breakfast and her father was reading the paper. Arizona walked in wearing last night's clothes. Nothing like the walk of shame past your parents.
"Good Morning Bug. Looks like you had a good time last night." Her father didn't even look up from his newspaper but the smirk on his face clearly showed he saw her come in.
"Mhhhmmmm" was all she heard from her mother.
"Good Morning Pop, Morning Mama. I am going to shower. I will be right out." Arizona mumbled.
Arizona walked towards her room, eyes on the floor and headed right for the bathroom. She took a quick shower and headed back out into the living area. Her mother was finishing breakfast. When did she go grocery shopping…? Teddy and Tim were already sitting at the table with her mother and father. When she walked in, they all turned to look at her. Tim and Teddy both with knowing smiles on their faces.
Arizona sat down at the table and poured herself a cup of coffee. She broke the awkward silence first.
"Good morning everyone. Mama this breakfast looks fantastic. Thank you for cooking."
Arizona's mother seemed to have had enough of being subtle. "You didn't come home last night. You know you have to golf today, and you stayed out all night. I know you are a grown woman Arizona but that does seem a bit irresponsible."
Arizona just huffed. "Mama. I appreciate your concern, but I was asleep early, and I feel great today. I will be okay." She heard Tim mumble something about going to sleep early, but she just shot him a warning look.
Before Arizona could respond, her father came to her rescue yet again. "Barb, honey. This is Arizona's experience. She knows her limits. She also knows if she doesn't golf well today because of her night last night, she has no one to blame but herself."
With Daniel's response, the topic was dropped. Thank goodness for Daniel Robbins.
As they all sat and ate the delicious breakfast Barbara had prepared, they went over the plan for the rest of the day. Arizona got 2 passes for fans on the course. She would give them to her parents, and they would be able to walk the course with her as she played her round for the day. Teddy had multiple meetings with potential sponsors and even mentioned something about ESPN doing an interview with Arizona if she made it to weekend play. She truly couldn't get over how far Teddy was taking her career by getting her into this tournament. It felt good to know she had this team, her family, rallying around her at all times.
She currently sat in 9th place in The Race. She was happy with that and a good round today would give her a little more comfort. Arizona felt well rested, which was honestly a surprise to her. It was a long night. She would never admit it, but she was glad Callie had insisted they get some sleep.
After breakfast and lounging around for about an hour there was a knock on the suite door. Everyone looked at each other and Arizona got up to answer it. When she opened the door there was a young man standing there with a purple box.
"Hello, can I help you?" Arizona politely asked.
"Are you Ms. Arizona Robbins?" The young man replied.
"Yes, yes I am. What can I do for you?" Arizona was a bit surprised that the guy was standing at her door. You needed a special elevator key to get up to this floor. He clearly worked for The Calliope, but no one had come up here without being called.
The young man just extended his arms to hand her the box. "These are for you." He handed her the box, which she accepted and walked away with something that sounded like have a good day.
Arizona took the box back into the suite and brought it over to the table. When she opened it there was a note attached to the inside of the box, but the contents are what made her laugh. There was a fresh batch of the brownies that she had raved to Callie about. She took one and bit into it, humming in satisfaction. She picked up the note and opened it.
Please be sure to share this batch. The last thing you need is a stomachache on the course today. Have a great day.
XO Callie
Arizona couldn't help but smile. Her and Callie had been texting back and forth a bit this morning, but she missed the brunette already. When Tim approached his eyes grew wide when he saw the brownies on the table.
"These look good, where did they come from?" He asked as he grabbed one. When he took a bite, his eyes went wide.
"Yeah, I know. Delicious right? Callie sent them to me. I had mentioned how good they were, and she sent them up." Arizona had a goofy love-struck smile on her fact that Tim did not ignore.
"Teddy said something about you and Callie. Is that who the date was with?"
"Yeah. It was perfect Tim SHE is perfect. I don't think I have ever been on a first date that went that well."
"Well AZ, I am happy for you. She seems nice from the few interactions I have had with her. Maybe us 4 can get together and grab a drink one day this week." Tim was now working on his second brownie.
"Yeah, that could be fun. How are things with Teds? You have not asked to go out on the town since we got here, which is very unlike you."
"I don't even know how to respond to that." Tim chuckled. But he continued, "I don't know AZ. It just feels good. We have known each other forever and yet; I am still learning new things about her every day. I am really enjoying spending time with her. I really like her."
Arizona was happy for her brother. She patted his back and shot him a wink. She needed to get some one on one time with Teddy in the next few days. One thing was for sure though, her brother was acting like a lovesick teenager.
"I am happy for your Timmy. I love you both and I know you are a good guy. Just keep your head in the game though. Lets kick ass today." Arizona walked away towards her room to get ready for the day.
Callie's POV
Callie walked into the back office after making her rounds outside. It was almost time for Arizona to tee off and Callie didn't know why, but she felt nervous for her. As Callie went to sit at her desk, she was startled by Mark plopping down on the end of said desk.
"Torrrressss" He sang.
"Hello Mark. How are you today?" Callie kept it professional.
"Come on Torres cut the crap. How did it go with Blondie last night" He made sure to add a wiggle of the eyebrows.
Callie couldn't help but blush. "It went really well. It was a lot of fun." Callie looked around to see who else may be listening. When she saw it was just the two of them, she expanded. "I haven't had a first date like that in forever. It was fun, she was flirty. Not to mention she is hot. I mean, you have seen her. We had a good time and just connected."
Mark patted Callie's shoulder. "So, you sealed the deal? I can tell. I have known you forever. Based on your attitude, the sex was good?" He always was one to cut straight to the point.
"No dirty details will be shared Mark. But I will just say, we had a very good time." Callie spun her chair and started working on her laptop.
"Well Torres, sounds like we both had fun last night." Mark's tone could not be mistaken. Callie turned around and threw a stack of sticky notes at Mark.
"Damn it Mark, Aria is my sister. I do not need to know about you two. Plus, my kid slept over, ya perv." As much as she joked, Callie was really starting to love the idea of Mark and Aria dating. Maybe they could do double date this week. Her and Arizona, Mark and Aria. Slow down Torres. She heard Mark laughing as he walked away.
As time passed and Callie responded to countless emails, she looked up at the clock. It was already 2pm. She hadn't realized how long she had been working. She decided she would go grab some lunch and check in on things outside.
As Callie walked outside, smoothie in hand, she was approached by the same gentlemen that had asked her to accompany him to the welcome dinner. If she remembered correctly, his name was George and he was actually a fairly popular golfer.
"Hi Callie. How are you today?" He politely asked.
"Hi. Doing really well. How are you?" She made sure not to say his name, in the off chance she was completely wrong.
"Doing well. Just finished up actually. Thankfully made up for my really rough Sunday outing. The course is in such fantastic shape. You have done a really great job here." His compliment seemed really genuine, and Callie always appreciated her hard work being noticed.
"Thank you for saying that. Honestly. It means a lot. I am glad to hear you made up some ground. Seems like a tough group to compete with."
"Most are. There are some newcomers that are surprising me. Nothing I can't handle though." His cocky grin was pretty evident.
"Well I am glad you are confident." Callie looked up at the board that showed where everyone's current position in The Race was. She saw a name she recognized currently sitting in the top 10 and couldn't hide her smile. George must have mistaken her cheerful nature about the score board as being happy he was on it.
"Yup. 8th place. Not bad, considering I was in 13th when I started today." Well, that does confirm his name is George. George O'Malley?
"8th is impressive. The top 10 seem to be all names I recognize. Which I am sure the golfing world is loving."
He chuckled. "Well, most of the names are friends. Guys who have worked hard to be here. Some are just here for ratings…Particularly 7th place…" He huffed. Clearly annoyed.
7th place was were Arizona currently sat. Which was impressive. When Callie had come outside before Arizona teed off, she saw the blonde's name with a 9 after it. She was clearly having a good day which made Callie's stomach flutter. Suddenly, she realized what George was implying and felt strangely defensive over Arizona.
"Well George, if I didn't know better, I would say you were a bit jealous or intimidated by having a woman here shaking things up." Callie said in a clearly condescending tone. A tone George picked up on.
"Ha. Not threatened in the least. We all know why she is here. Everyone loves a sob story. She belongs back in the women's league. This league is for the big boys."
"Well, I guess I am just confused how she is in 7th place then. If she doesn't deserve to be here wouldn't she be down towards the bottom?"
George seemed to struggle to find his tongue. "Well….sh-sh-she is just getting lucky."
Callie had to stifle her laugh because Arizona Robbins did indeed get lucky last night. But now was not the time for that. Callie decided to go the kill them with kindness route.
"Well George, it was really nice speaking with you. I don't know enough about golf to comment on how someone can 'get lucky' hitting a tiny ball into a hole from hundreds of yards away. But I hope you continue to do well this tournament. I am sure I will see you around." With that, Callie was walking off towards the golf course. She was a lot more annoyed by that conversation than she should be. She looked at her tablet and saw that Arizona and Alex were currently on the 9th hole. So, logically, she headed in that direction. Needing a quick glimpse of the blonde that had been on her mind all day.
A/N: Filler chapter.
