Amanda arrived at the Crime scene and met the medical examiner on the way out. What are you doing here? I got a call to say I was needed, ah then you should have got another call then as it's a straightforward homicide. Ah right, well I'm here now so who's running it, Guy called Harkin she replied. He's in the living room. She walked in and introduced herself. Hi Detective Rollins, sorry for calling you out, turns out it's not a SVU case after all. Yeah Melinda said there, so what's up? He told her what had happened, why they thought SVU would need to be involved then why they discovered they didn't. My bad Rollins, I do apologise, hey no worries, better to be safe than sorry isn't it. Yeah you can hang around if you want, but I doubt anyone would do so willingly. She put her hand up to say goodbye and left the scene. She headed to the station and caught up on some paperwork. There was a couple of other officers there doing the same, she wished them a Happy Christmas. They then sat and chatted for a while. Olivia phoned her at around 7pm and asked what the case was, Amanda said there wasn't one. She told her what had happened. Olivia said well I'm glad, you should have come back over. Amanda smiled, she said yeah, I know, I just came up to the station to finish off some paperwork and I've just tidied up the desk for the new guy starting tomorrow. I'm just getting ready to head on home now. Ok see you in the morning Amanda. Paperwork done she said goodnight and headed to the car.
She looked at the clock, it was 10pm. She decided to head to Nick's place to collect her flowers. When she got in the lights were already on. She smiled as she got out of the car. She went in and put the kettle on for a cup of tea. She sat down on the couch and just looked at the tree and her flowers. She missed him, 2 more night Rollins, that's all. As she went into make her tea she heard her phone. It was Nick on video call again. She smiled and answered, 3 calls in one day Amaro? Well what can I say Rollins, I miss you, he grinned. Yeah, I'm missing you too. Where are you he asked? Just at your house, collecting my flowers but ended up making a cup of tea. And now I can't be bothered to move off the couch to do anything she laughed. Well why don't you stay the night? Yeah I might just do that you know, I'm just sitting staring at the tree and the flowers thinking how lucky I am. He smiled and said, Oh I don't know about that Rollins, but I know I'm one very lucky man. He smiled again. So, you still at Gil's or have you left, he said no, I'm at the airport. I left the car back to the rental company earlier today, Cynthia and Gil brought me as he wanted to. Turns out Maria and Cynthia have met up a few times and the kids are spending more time together. Maria and Zara arrived to wave me off too. Her stomach made that feeling of dread again. He must have noticed as he said, well the kids waved me off, Maria and Cynthia are probably thanking their lucky stars I'm gone. She smiled weakly and said, I doubt that, I'm sure you're sad to be leaving them behind though, and he said, who the kids or the adults? She laughed and said the kids of course. Yeah, I am, but I'll see them next month again, but I'm looking forward to seeing you now and he grinned. Oh me too honey. That was good that they brought the kids to the airport though, very thoughtful. Yeah it was a nice surprise he said. They talked about a few other things and he said so you got no calls today? She said well I got one, but it was a false alarm. Good he said, I'm glad you got to spend the day with Liv and Noah. She smiled, yeah, it was lovely, I really enjoyed it. Lets see what tomorrow brings though, This new guy is starting. Yeah you'll have to tell me all about him tomorrow, I need to know if I have any competition, he smiled, but she could see a tinge of worry. Oh, don't you worry about that honey, I've only got eyes for you and she smiled. Good he said, lo mismo aqui cariño. I'm glad to hear it Amaro. He looked at her saying, you know what I said? I do, you said same here. A big grin appeared across his face. Oh if I could kiss you now I would! She blushed and said, well save it till you come home. Have you booked any time off yet? I've booked Monday off she said lying. There's people off the rest of the week so can't get any other time. But I've told Liv I need Tuesday morning off. She's OK with it, especially as the new guy will be there. He looked disappointed but he said, well it's better than nothing. Yeah she said, smiling, means I can have a lazy morning with you hopefully. He grinned and said, Oh I can't wait. Neither can I. "Right I'll let you go and get ready for your flight, he said OK I'll let you get to my bed, she smiled. Oh actually that's what I need to ask you, where do you keep your spare linen? He looked at her and asked why? Well I changed your bed for you and it's in the wash now, but I need to put new sheets on the bed. You didn't have to do that bonita. Well it has gotten a lot of action this past week grinning at him and he grinned back, yeah it's had more action this week than it's entire time there. She looked and said, I doubt that, and he said, no really it has. She smiled and blushed, well where is it? He told her to go to the back cupboard. Ok, I'm going to go have my tea, then make the bed. He said thank you again and wished her sweet dreams. She told him to have a safe flight and to text her when he arrived. Will do mi Bonita.
She went and made the bed, had her tea then switched the lights out. She went to bed and fell asleep.
