Amanda called by Nick's again to see to the laundry. She folded the washed bedsheets and put them into the cupboard. She found the vacuum and had a quick hoover around the rooms, she gave the surfaces a wipe down and plumped the cushions. She turned the Christmas lights on and set them onto timer again. She grabbed her bag again and headed out to do some shopping for both houses.
Walking around the supermarket her phone rang. She saw it was Nick, Hey baby how's you she asked. Hey Bonita I'm even better now I'm hearing your voice. She smiled and said same here. So what are you up to she asked. Aw nothing, just finished dinner here and my mum is away to see my sister so I've got the house to myself for a few hours. Think I might go out for a walk along the beach though and go to the outdoor gym again. Aww sounds lovely, she said. I'm jealous He smiled to himself and said, you ever been to Miami beach before Bonita? No actually she said, I've never been to Miami. Really! Well maybe we'll have to take a visit together sometime. She smiled and said, yeah, maybe, that sounds good. She was getting those butterflies in her stomach again. Hmm, I'll have to look into that idea when I get home mi cariño he said. She cleared her throat and he said where are you anyway? Oh I'm at the supermarket, is there anything you want me to pick up for you while I'm here? Yeah a toothbrush…. She was confused and said, of all the things I can get you in this place and you want a toothbrush? Yeah, well I'm going to need one for when I stay at your place aren't I? Oh and Shower Gel, none of that girly stuff, and maybe deodorant. She laughed, right OK I'm getting the hint Amaro. And for my house I need the same, only for a woman. There's this sexy woman that keeps sleeping in my bed without me and I'm jealous of my bed right now. She laughed and blushed, yeah? Oh yeah, I'm jealous of my bed getting to hold her when I can't. Her heart skipped a beat and her stomach was doing flips. Well one more sleep and you'll be back to hold that woman yourself. Oh I'm counting the hours bonita, believe me. She smiled and said, right, apart from those, is there anything else you would like? No I don't think so baby as long as I have you I'm good. Although….. I'm really in the mood for a juicy peach, but not the kind from the supermarket. She smiled and said you're making me blush in the middle of the supermarket Amaro, this isn't fair. He laughed and said, OK I'm sorry. I'll let you get on with the shopping, I'll give you a call before I go to bed. OK baby, I'll talk to you soon. Te extraño como loco mi cariño. Huh? I'm missing you like crazy he said. Not as much as I'm missing you baby, trust me, she said. He smiled and said, I'll talk to you in a bit. OK, Adiós guapo. He smiled and replied, Adios hermosa.
She sighed as she put her phone away and smiled. She backtracked to the toiletry section and had an idea. She bought some necessities for them both, for both houses, and as she walked around she saw the Christmas clearance section with lots of gift boxes. She bought a large one and smiled. She had an idea.
Back home she got together all of the items she bought him and put them in the gift box. She wrapped it up and put it under her tree, smiling. She put the groceries away and went to get changed. She got herself a beer and settled down in the light of the Christmas tree and the tv. Her phone rang again not long after. It was Nick video calling. Hello handsome, what's up? He raised his eyebrows and gave her a look, well since you asked, and moved his phone down to the direction of his shorts, then back to his face, she laughed and said, aw baby I wish I could help with that, tomorrow night I will I promise. He smiled I'm holding you to that one Rollins. She smiled and said what's happening? You not tired? He said no Jet lags a bitch, so I thought I'd take you out for a walk. Huh, she replied. He held the phone up and spanned around him. He was walking along Miami beach. Oh Nick, she started to well up, that's beautiful. He panned it back to him and said it is isn't it? I've just been to the outdoor gym on the beach here so thought I'd take you on my walk. She smiled and nodded, She heard him groan as he sat down on the sand. Hey, que pasa cariño? He looked worried, aw nothing, just you and your lovely thoughts. You're making me turn soppy. He smiled, well you deserve to be thought of so fondly. She smiled, as do you. So what's your plans for your day off tomorrow? What, oh yeah, nothing really. Just laze around, go out for a run, I've to call into work to finish some paperwork off so I'll do that and then come home. He got up again and walked along the beach both still chatting. God that sounds so relaxing Nick, yeah he smiled, it is. We'll have to come up to do it properly some time. She smiled at him and he smiled back. You ok with that plan Rollins? Oh I am indeed Amaro she replied, smiling again. He grinned Good. She said right as much as I could talk to you all night baby and listen to that ocean, we both really need to get to bed, It's going to be a long day tomorrow, she smiled again. Oh, I can't wait he replied. Me neither baby. OK buenas noches y dulces sueños hermosa, she smiled and said good night handsome. They blew kisses and hung up.
