Chapter 30
Arizona's POV
Arizona woke up next to Callie for what would be the last time for almost a month. The day had snuck on them quicker than she would have liked. They had talked about expectations and how they would handle the next few weeks. The solution was plenty of Face Time, texting, and phone calls. She rolled over and wrapped her arms around her beautiful girlfriend and snuggled into her. She started to pepper her bare shoulders with kisses, hoping to wake her early enough to have time to say goodbye properly.
She feels the brunette start to stir and is met with a grunt that shows Callie is getting ready to wake up.
"Wake up pretty lady" She whispers.
"Mmmm. Good Morning. What time is it?" Callie whispers.
"I think a little after 6. I need time to say goodbye to my girlfriend the right way." Rolling over so she was now on top of Callie she began kissing her all over her face. Callie just laughed and wrapped her arms around her waist.
"I don't want you to leave. Your back is finally feeling better and we are saying goodbye before we even got to celebrate your win." Callie pouts.
"Why not go for a 2 for 1 special?" Arizona husked as she began to kiss down her girlfriend's body. Stopping to pay attention to her perfect breasts, she was met with her favorite moans.
"Calliope, you have to be quiet or I have to stop." She watched as Callie took Arizona's pillow and put it over her face. Feeling satisfied that they would not wake up Sofia Arizona continued to lick and nibble on Callie's breasts. Sucking and biting enough to leave a mark, Arizona smiled to herself. Something to remember me by. She continued her trek downward and decided to start with the celebration, then go to the goodbye. There was time for love making later, right now she wanted her girlfriend squirming under her. She dove in inserting her tongue into Callie's opening. Callie's hips immediately shot off the bed, clearly not expecting that. She felt Callie take a handful of her hair and began to rock her hips to meet Arizona's mouth. She continued to use her tongue to bring her girlfriend closer and closer to her peak. While her mouth was working Callie's entrance she brought her hand up to begin circling the bundle of nerves, she knew Callie was a girl who could get off either way, but she noticed her orgasms were stronger when her clit was involved. She felt her girlfriend getting closer to the edged and was slightly bummed she couldn't hear Callie's screams like normal. She could feel the grip on her hair getting tighter and Callie's hips thrusting faster and more erratic. Finally, Callie's body goes rigid as her legs wrap around Arizona's legs head tightly. She can hear the muffled moans and muffled "yes!". Gently bringing Callie down from what seemed like a strong orgasm she kissed up the beautiful tan body below her. Pulling the pillow back she is met with the most beautiful sight. The Latina face is flush, and her breathing is rapid. Giving her a quick peck and giving her time to recover Arizona rolled off of her and waited until Callie rolled over to join her.
"Hi" Arizona whispered.
"Hi" Callie responded. "That was, um, that was some goodbye." Callie joked, her after sex voice was Arizona's favorite.
"Oh no Calliope, that was not goodbye. That was the celebration portion of this morning."
Raising her perfect eyebrows Callie rolled over on top of Arizona. "Considering you are what we were supposed to be celebrating, I think it is my turn."

Callie's POV
Standing in the airport Callie could feel the sinking feeling in her stomach. Aria had graciously agreed to take Sofia out to lunch so Callie could say goodbye to Arizona privately. The goodbye between Sofia and Arizona had been heart breaking earlier. Sofia didn't understand why Arizona had to leave. Callie felt bad that she had obviously not done a good job explaining to Sofia that Arizona was coming to stay with them in a month, instead of right away. They enjoyed a nice breakfast and Arizona spent the morning playing with Sofia. As Sofia walked out the door with Aria she gave Arizona one last hug and when she told the blonde she loved her and would miss her, Callie couldn't help the tears that she shed. It had been such a short time and so few interactions, but Arizona and Sofia already had a special bond.
Pulling her out of her memories of this morning, she felt Arizona's arms wrap around her from behind. "I am all checked in. I have a few minutes before I have to head through security. Remind me to thank Tim for flying out with my clubs. Saved me some time." She joked laying a kiss on Callie's neck.
"Are you sure you have to leave? I am going to miss you so much Arizona. I know I sound pathetic but these last two weeks have been so amazing with you." Callie felt like a child but damn she was going to miss her.
"I know how you feel Calliope. I am going to miss you too. You and Sofia. But, I already made commitments for these tournaments and after The Race I would be crazy not to ride that momentum. Teddy has been getting calls from some more big-name sponsors." Arizona replied while wiping a tear from Callie's cheek she didn't even realize had fallen.
"I know…I am so proud of you. I don't want you to think me not wanting you to go means I am not, because I am. You are amazing. So so amazing. I am just being selfish."
"Trust me, I want so badly to be selfish. I will be back before you know it. Then we get a few months of us. Which I personally am SUPER excited for." The way Arizona was able to make Callie feel better no matter what was one of the things she loved the most about her.
Looking down at her watch, she saw as Arizona's face fell a little bit. She knew what that meant. "I have to go now. I don't want to miss my flight." Arizona whispered. She grabbed Callie's cheeks and looked in her eyes. "I love you, so much Calliope. Thank you for the best two weeks of my life. I will be back before you know it. I will call you when I land, okay?"
"I love you too. Thank you. I can't wait to have you back, but make sure you kick ass the next few weeks to make all this worth it." Callie tried to joke. She pulled Arizona in for a not appropriate for the airport kiss. She tangled her hands into blonde hair and kissed Arizona like her life depended on it.
"Go ahead. Sofia and I will be here to pick you up when you come back."
"Okay. I love you." Arizona gave Callie one last kiss and turned to walk towards security. Callie did her best not to cry until Arizona was out of sight. This was going to suck.

Arizona's POV
Four days. It had been four days since she had said goodbye to her girlfriend, and it was honestly a lot harder than Arizona had anticipated. She was currently laying on her bed in the hotel room paid for by the PGA. Today was Arizona's first round of the current tournament she was playing in, The FedEx Open. It was in California, meaning there was a time difference between her and Callie at the moment. Normally it wouldn't be an issue. But, according to Callie The Race had brought The Calliope an insane amount of business which meant Callie was working nonstop. Also, The Race took place during Sofia's spring break from school which Arizona was completely unaware of. So, Callie's schedule at the hotel paired with her normal single Mom duties were making it impossible to catch each other. It sucked. She missed Callie and she missed Sofia. As much as she was excited to play this afternoon, she was distracted. Never has anyone been able to distract her the way that Callie had. Thankfully Tim had been keeping her busy and they even planned to go out that evening. According to Callie she would be working late tonight and told Arizona to enjoy herself with her brother the last time they spoke.
Hearing a knock at her hotel room door, Arizona stood up to go answer.
"Wow. You look like shit sis." Tim said as he walked into her room.
"Well hello to you to." She mumbled, flopping back down onto the bed.
"Seriously Arizona, what is wrong with you? We have to be on the course in 3 hours. You need to get it together."
"I am fine Timothy." She snapped.
"Yeahhh, I don't buy it. Is this still about missing Callie?" His tone softens.
With a grunt that sounded like it came from a toddler, she crossed her arms. "Yes. I miss her. Like CRAZY miss her. I have never felt like this before and honestly it is annoying. Who the hell am I?"
"I feel you AZ. I miss Teddy like crazy. Who would have thought? The two of us being sad over missing our girls." Tim sat next to her on the bed and pulled her up.
"Honestly, we are pretty pathetic. At least we are going out tonight. Some quality sister time will make you feel better." She leaned her head on his shoulder.
"Yeah because I am the one who needs cheering up. Come on, let's go get lunch then it is time to hit the green."

Callie's POV
This sucked. She had been without Arizona for 4 days and she was already missing her like she had been gone months. Pair that with the fact Sofia was back in school and The Calliope was a mad house, Callie was exhausted. She had tried to call Arizona on her lunch break but since she was 3 hours ahead of her, Arizona was doing press at the time. She couldn't be mad at her, but she missed being able to talk and see her whenever she wanted. Looking at the clock while going through the pile of resumes on her desk, she realized Arizona would be teeing off soon. Callie's plan was to lock herself in her office until she found someone with enough experience to replace Julie. Honestly that was part of the reason Callie had been so incredibly busy. Julie handled everything for the front desk and its employees. Callie was forced to pick up the slack since they were now without Julie.
Turning on The Golf Channel, Callie smiled as the camera was currently fixed on her blonde. She looked so good in the black pants and white shirt she was currently wearing. Arizona's golf pants were one of Callie's weaknesses. The hugged her ass perfectly and Callie was a sucker for Arizona's ass. Arizona was teeing off on her third hole of the day and she looked like she was feeling good. In the very brief conversations, the two had had over the last 4 days Arizona had assured Callie that her back felt basically 100% and she felt comfortable competing. Callie watched as Arizona drove the ball perfectly down the fairway and the dimple smile on her face told Callie that she was happy with her shot. As Arizona turned to hand Tim her driver Callie noticed that Arizona was still wearing the bracelet Sofia had made her. She couldn't help but smile at that. Sofia had been asking about Arizona constantly. Asking when they could Face Time her and when she was coming "home". The first time Sofia referred to their house as Arizona's home, Callie quickly corrected her. It was too soon to be thinking of that and Callie knew it. They were going to be spending 2-3 months together and that was going to be interesting enough. Callie hadn't lived with another adult since college.
She broke out of her daze just in time to see Arizona sink a beautiful putt. She watched as the golfer jumped in the air the second it hit the hole. Arizona was always one to show emotion and she said she planned to "tone it down" but Callie told her that being herself was the best thing she could do. It looked like the blonde had listened. Keeping the TV on in the background she continued to sift through the giant pile of resumes that was in front of her. Getting lost in her work she didn't notice until sometime later that it was currently 8pm. She looked up at the TV and saw that Arizona had made her way all the way to the 17th hole. Wow time flies when you actually work.
Deciding to shoot Aria a text that she was on her way to pick up Sofia, she decided to stay and watch the last two holes Arizona was playing. She watched as Arizona shanked an iron shot waaaay past the green and saw as Arizona shoved the club back into the bag. A pissed off Arizona was not good for anyone. Noticing Arizona's partner was Alex Karev made Callie feel a bit better. She watched the next few shots which finally ended with Arizona sinking a putt after missing it initially. Bogey…yikes.
Callie sent off three emails to potential front desk leads and started to pack up her stuff. She turned off the lights in her office and as she was about to turn off the TV she watched Arizona wrap up her round for the day. The blonde was clearly frustrated but all in all, it looked like Arizona had a decent round. She currently sat in 5th place even though that didn't mean much since it was still early in the tournament. She would try to give her a call when she was on the way home.

Arizona's POV
"Back to back bogeys! What the hell was that Tim?" Arizona yelled in frustration as she made her way back to the hotel.
"Those two holes were tough Arizona; you know how to play them next round. Shake it off. You are in 5th right now."
"Yeah, a 3-way tie for 5th which might as well be 8th!" She continued to yell.
"Seriously Arizona, you got your shitty round out of the way. We will come out and practice those two holes tomorrow, okay?" Tim hugged her by the shoulders.
"Okay. Sorry. I am just frustrated."
"I know. But go get ready and we will head out for some dinner okay?" Tim headed off to put Arizona's clubs in her section of the clubhouse while Arizona headed to her room.
*Ring. Ring. Ring*
Looking down at her phone, she couldn't help but smile when she saw her girlfriend's picture signaling an incoming call.
"Hello Calliope" Arizona greeted with a giant smile.
"Hello to you too. How is my golf super star doing?"
"Ha! Golf super star. I take it you didn't watch at all today." Arizona was slightly bummed to think her girlfriend didn't watch her.
"Oh no, I watched it. Everyone has bad days Arizona. Just make the next one count. You and I both know, you've got this." Callie encouraged her.
"Thank you. God I miss you."
"I miss you too. So much. You have no idea."
"It is late there, are you just leaving work?" Arizona asked.
"Yeah. I have been trying to find a replacement for Julie all day and I found some good candidates, hopefully we can set some interviews up for this week." Callie said through a yawn.
"Babe go get Sofia and then go get some sleep. We can talk tomorrow. I don't golf and you said you are finally off work for the day. We can finally Face Time. I miss your beautiful face."
"I miss yours too. More than you can imagine. Alright, I am actually pulling into Aria's to grab her now. Have fun with Tim tonight. Not too much fun though. Save that for when you are in Miami." Callie flirted.
"There is no one I would rather have too much fun with. Goodnight, I love you!"
"I love you too."
Hearing the click on the other end of the phone, Arizona was grateful that she at least got that 10-minute conversation with her girlfriend. She couldn't believe just how much Callie had to work when she was part owner of the place. What the hell was Mark doing? He was the day to day manger.
Stepping into her hotel room she quickly hopped in the shower and got ready for her night out with her brother. It had been forever since the two of them had been able to spend some one on one time together and she didn't realize how much she missed him until now.
A/N: A little long-distance missing going on here.
