How did it all go so wrong a young girl thought as she heard the echoing sounds of screaming, looking at the reason she was greeted with a sight of a black haired woman with an amused expression as she saw the innocent people fall to their deaths with a gleam in her sole eye. Meanwhile her friends had done the same as the young girl, looking on in shock at what had just happened. "Cinder's here?!" a young woman with long blond hair shouted in the midst of the screaming people trying to escape as the silver-haired girl glared.

Meanwhile two others watched on in disbelief, one in anger and another in fear. A young man with blond hair gripped his sword's handle tighter than he had before and pointed towards a nearby path. "Go over to that path and make your way to the main exit. Hurry!" he shouted as the people that he was escorting did just that. As they ran he looked towards the former enemy who looked at her former boss in a sensation of dread.

"Cinder is…" the dark-skinned girl muttered before she was interrupted by the knight placing a hand on her shoulder.

"You lead the others out of here with the rest of the Happy Huntresses, then get some back up" Jaune said as he recalled them helping them escort the civilians out while Winter, Qrow and Marrow had to finish stopping the other Ace-Ops from blowing up Mantle. As Emerald nodded, she made her way to another portal before she was forced to jump away and avoid a familiar attack aimed at her. Following that was another familiar voice that made the two pale.

"Oh, I'm afraid backup won't be coming, kid" a man said with a gleeful expression of murder with a scorpion-like tail of both flesh and machine waving in front of them in full display while another younger man with gray hair glared from their spot. "Heh, so the dear doctor's message was true. You and Hazel betrayed our queen!" the scorpion spat out with venom. And judging from experience that wasn't the only type of venom that they would have to deal with…

"Emerald, what the hell are you doing? Siding with them…!" Mercury shouted in anger and betrayal. Was she really going to just leave them for these losers? He was torn, one on hand she finally realized that Cinder never cared about either of them but now she was helping Ozpin's group. Was she just throwing her life away then?

"Mercury… I" she said slowly as Jaune glared. Placing his hand on her shoulder again he generated some aura to amplify hers incase she hadn't fully recovered. Against someone like Tyrian then she needed at least that. Once he finished he noticed Tyrian looking at him in interest while Mercury frowned.

"Emerald… can you fight Mercury?" Jaune asked seriously as he kept his eyes focused on Tyrian as he got into a defensive position. This was bad, even if Emerald could place them in an illusion or something he highly doubt that it would do too much. Mercury knew Emerald better than anyone else as far as he knew. And he didn't know if Tyrian would be able to see through it.

"Heheheh, Fine with me, brat. Mr. Black, please dispose of the traitor, me and the kid have some unfinished business" the faunus said eagerly as Jaune took a step back at that. "Oh, come now… do you honestly think I've forgotten about you? Cinder said you were nothing more than an insect not worth out time. But I personally beg to differ…" the scorpion said as Emerald glared. She didn't really care too much about the swordsman but that didn't mean she liked the way he was interested in the guy.

She wouldn't like the way the creep would talk about any person the way he seemed to do…

"What do you mean by that?" she demanded, reaching for her weapons as Tyrian grinned, the sounds of his weapons being deployed echoed in the area. Before he could answer however, a new voice interrupted them.

"Get away from them!" Yang shouted as she propelled her up to meet the two assassins while Jaune and Emerald looked at their third partner in this fight.

"Yang!" Jaune shouted as Mercury grinned. Now this would be fun. Hopefully he could just focus on beat Blondie again and not have to focus on Emerald as much. He didn't care about that other guy but Tyrian had some kind of interest in him for who knew what reason.

"Oh, so the niece of the crow has come to join the fight. Oh what fun... first the traitor, then the Arc boy..." he listed off with a giggle of excitement as the other three fell into fighting positions.

Meanwhile Cinder looked on at Ruby, Blake and Weiss with a bit of interest, so what if the blond haired girl decided to help the traitor and her little friend. this would make it a little easier for herself. Her current objectives were right in front of her. That android had the relic with her partner holding onto the lamp. But right now she had something else to do.

"Why are you here, how are you here?!" Ruby shouted as she held her scythe and swung down, at the woman while the Fall Maiden blocked it with the swords made of aura-imbued glass. Cinder grinned as she noticed a figure slowly approach them while Blake and Weiss went in for the kill. It was confusing how the brat didn't use her oh so special eyes on her yet. Or perhaps she still hasn't fully controlled them.

Did she need full concentration to use them; had her attack, Tyrian's unexpected arrival and their little plan falling apart hinder that concentration? It didn't matter, she would get her revenge soon enough.

"Why? How? Come now, brat. Did you think you could hide anything from Jinn of all people?" she taunted as Ruby and the others paled slightly. She knew about Jinn, she got it to work? Soon she realized what that could have meant. According to Ozpin and Jinn herself, the Relics could only be used by a person a certain number of times and even so had to follow a specific set of rules and conditions.

For Jinn it was that anyone could ask three questions and after that Jinn would stay in the lamp for one hundred years. Ruby had used one of her questions while Cinder apparently used the second. That meant there was at least one question left, right? Or was that used up already? Ozpin said he used the last one earlier but was that the truth?

Blake and Weiss stared before Cinder made a ring of flames to surround her, as she did she had also created a wall of flames aimed at Weiss and Blake, the Cat Faunus jumping to the side as Weiss jumped to another platform. Blake glared before she noticed something in the corner of her eye. Alone was a small figure, a woman carrying a briefcase in the middle of the screaming people. It was only after the briefcase shattered into dust-like particles to reveal a parasol hiding behind the illusion and the woman's eyes changed to a pair of mismatched colors, pink and brown respectively.

"That's…" Blake muttered before she ran towards her, more so when the stranger withdrew a blade and rushed at her leader. Changing directions she knew she couldn't stop the woman's anger or prevent the hit in time to dodge herself. All she could manage was to push her leader out of the way and take the hit.

Would it not be for her aura the cat faunus would've been skewered. But thankfully she managed to block the blade at the cost of nearly all of her reserves. That blow was made to either puncture through any remaining aura or to send her flying. The faunus's feet left the ground as she realized that the blow was made for the second reason. Even if Ruby could recover with her semblance, that blow would've been enough to stall her, especially if she didn't see it coming.

But Blake did and as soon as she realized what happened she quickly threw her gun towards the platform with the bladed part of it sticking into the edge.

"B-Blake!?" Ruby called out in shock before she was forced to avoid another swing and stab from the woman who dispelled the illusion, pink and brown hair was what the reaper was met with as Weiss looked in shock. before she could help her teammate however an arrow appeared in front of her and soon exploded in a wave of flames, Cinder Fall standing tall with a make-shift glass bow in her hand.

Blake covered her eyes before realizing she was once again falling. Looking up to see Yang and the others looking at her in shock, she swore she heard her name being called until darkness overtook her.

Jaune froze with Yang as they had begun to fight Tyrian. The scorpion faunus tilted his head before laughing at the incident. Before he could do anything else, Yang glared at the scorpion and lunged at him with her fist held back to deliver a punch, Tyrian merely seemed amused as he blocked the attack with his tail as Jaune turned to see Emerald and Mercury fighting.

"Why did you go with them, why are you betraying us?" Mercury demanded as Emerald glared, didn't he see it? Tyrian told them that Salem was planning to destroy the world. She only joined though because of Oscar, because he and Hazel helped her see what the true picture was. "He's just using you, Ozpin and his group are using you like Cinder did!" he shouted as he twisted and tried to kick her in the face with his weapons of choice in his boots while Emerald fought against him.

"Like Salem is using you!" the street rat rebuttal while she used her semblance to trap him within one of her hallucinations. "You told me to make up my mind, and I did. Salem plans to destroy us all, do you really want that to happen. Do you really want to throw your life away like that?!" she shouted with tears forming. She couldn't imagine it. As much as she hated to say or admit it, that idiot was probably the closest thing to a friend she had after it was clear Cinder was only using her. She knew she was being used since Cinder got back and brought Neo with her. And it was made more evident when Cinder failed to capture Penny for her powers.

"I… You aren't fooling me, I'm doing this because I want to!" the assassin shouted at his former partner. He was angry, no he was pissed. How could she betray them… betray him like this. Didn't she know what they were in for? She was told everything about him, how his own damned father beat and took his legs and semblance, how he was use and now she was messing with his mind.

He wouldn't be fooled, he wasn't anyone's pawn, and he was making this choice on his own, wasn't he?!

Cinder grinned as she avoided an attack from the heiress and brought her blade down to which said heiress blocked with her rapier. Despite that she was flung away as Tyrian laughed after having tackled and slammed the blond woman to the ground, joining the Fall Maiden while looking up. Seeing the knight on the ground and having been taken down and having finished the blonde brawler, he grinned towards the woman and gave a crooked grin. "Heh, having a fun time, Cindy…?" Tyrian asked as he saw the youngest sister of the Schnee family get up and ready herself.

"You could say that…" Cinder muttered, wonder how and why he was here. According to what she was told he was supposed to be on a trip to Vacuo with-

Her eyes widened as she noticed the conflict with her former subordinates, a wave of anger filling her as she slowly smiled. "Tyrian, Salem did order you to get the young girl, hadn't she?" Cinder reminded as Tyrian turned towards her and then back to the reaper who fought off the silent fencer. Tyrian grinned, that was true… and if he collected both the girl and the relics…

Cinder saw him rush at the reaper only to be blocked by the heiress, and soon she noticed several of the remaining people head to the exit with the android who stole her desired powers ready to attack her. Watts had no control of her anymore; those brats used the Staff of Creation to build her a new body and placed that little virus into it.

According to the rules of the Staff that she got from Ozpin, the Staff of Creation could create anything with the right blueprints. But anything he created overwrote the previous creation. It could not revive the dead, it needed blueprints or knowledge on how it worked or was created. It was a miracle that it was even able to create this dimension? It was based off of the vaults if she heard the plan right but the whole Vacuo exit thing was random. They probably just gave the spirit of the staff an area of coordinates in Vacuo on their scrolls.

Cinder's eyes widened as the android finally began to enter the fray, launching herself with her boosted and generating magic around her. She would need to focus on the android to take her powers while the brats were distracted. But first…

Raising her hand up towards the traitor and newest general of Salem, she gathered enough magic to form an arrow and formed her sword into a bow. Glaring at the two fighters, she notched the arrow and let it fly. Emerald and Mercury barely saw it before flames engulfed them while Jaune moaned and barely regained consciousness in time to see both of them fall into the abyss, unconscious from the powerful inferno that broke their aura.

With that little thorn out of her side, Cinder turned to face Penny with a grin while Penny glared at the woman fiercer than before. Tyrian grinned before noticing someone new enter the fray. "Get your hands off of my sister!" one Winter Schnee shouted as she summoned a Beowolf glyph to separate the scorpion from the now unconscious heiress.

"Oh, so the specialist wants to play as well? I hope you put up a better fight than the kids and that other officer did" the madman taunted as Winter tried to maintain a calm disposition, she succeeded but she was clearly angered at the man's words, the kids referring to her sister and friends… the officer being…

"I'll avenge Clover… I'll stop you right here and make sure you can't hurt a singer soul ever again, Callows!" the specialist shouted and rant to attack him to which he followed suit with a maniacal gleam in his now-purple eyes. Jaune slowly got up to his feet and steadied himself. Looking down and seeing Penny fighting Cinder and Winter facing Tyrian, he barely saw Ruby holding up against Neo while his eyes focused on Yang who was still out of it. He'd help Weiss and Yang first; they had to get out of here.

Ruby glared as she was pushed back, Neo glaring at her as she twisted her weapon in her hand. "What is this about?!" Ruby shouted as Neo glared, the brat dared to ask her that? The spoiled, hypocritical brat was that far in her own world? Neo sheathed her blade, glared at the reaper before she let her semblance cover her.

Soon Neo was gone, in place of her was another, one that made Ruby freeze, it was a familiar one, orange hair and a bowler hat with a white jacket and smoking a cigar. "Torchwick" Ruby muttered as Neo glared and dropped her illusion. Oh, now she remembered the man she killed. That made everything better…

She unsheathe he blade once again and ran at her with bloodlust in her eyes, just looking at the brat was pissing her off. She heard what happened with the general and according to that Watts person, she screwed the pooch. If it wasn't for her and her team for lying to the general and then accusing him for lying for what the bearded man called "a necessity" then perhaps she and her team wouldn't be fugitives, how ironic this was.

But she was about to learn the hard way that actions had consequences. This brat interfered with their plans, divided Atlas and Mantle, and worst yet, took away her Roman. She would take away everything she had. She would teach her what happens when a brat like her thinks she was some special hero unlike every other huntress and huntsman there was.

Avoiding a swing from the bladed scythe/riffle, Neo twisted her body and flipped over the weapon before she delivered a drop kick to the silver-eyed huntress. As Ruby stumbled she noticed a boot heading to her face and was forced away. Neo quickly grabbed the scythe, stopping the blade from making contact with her as the reaper let the weapon slip from her grip.

Disarmed, Ruby glared at the former right-handed woman of the late Roman Torchwick who merely threw the weapon off the edge. Slowly getting up, she felt her aura slip; Neo grinned at this and twisted her weapon in her hand. Ruby clenched her hands into fists before thinking of one final idea. "I'm not the one who killed Roman, but whatever you want to believe, I hope it was worth it" she said lamenting as she gathered the last of her aura for one last gamble.

Neo felt something wrong but glared at the reaper. She knew that whether or not it was directly, intentionally or not the fact remained the same. Roman was dead and once she was done with little red, Cinder Fall was next. She waited for her opportunity for this moment for at least over a year now.

And now she would have it

As she leapt at the reaper with rage etched on her face, Ruby leaned back and fell off the edge before channeling her semblance to recover. Spiraling around under the platform before appearing behind the fencer and reformed to deliver a swift kick to her back. It wouldn't knock her out but knock her off, just like she tried to do with her.

At least Blake would be avenged…

As the boot made contact with her opponent, Ruby's eyes widened in shock and fear, the form of Neapolitan shattered to be revealed as an illusion, her aura was now fully depleted. Landing on her feet, Ruby was confused, when did she place an illusion? The last thing she saw was a flash of silver and then a mix or red and black followed by a surge of agony and a bloodcurdling scream.

Everyone looked at the source as Neo withdrew her blade, she was hoping to pierce her skull, and she missed only barely. But it was enough to graze her. No it was enough to partially blind her. Ruby reached for her face as her face was covered in blood, her left eye now destroyed as the swing of the now crimson-coated blade threw away the reapers blood.

Tyrian looked at her and smiled an eye for an eye he recalled saying earlier. Still he should probably stop her before she killed the little rose. Salem wanted her alive after-all. Cinder was giddy, seeing the brat who shamed her as much as she did lose her eye. It was only when she saw the horrified look on the robot's face quickly turn to fury that she struck. Penny screamed out in anguish as Cinder shot her Grimm-like arm towards the Winter Maiden. Penny felt something grab her and swing her down to a nearby platform while noticing something she didn't expect.

"You bitch!" Yang shouted in unrestrained fury as Neo turned and avoided an assault from the enraged step-sister while Neo glared, annoyed at the blonde fighter she should have killed so long ago. If it wasn't for that bandit leader interfering… but now she didn't care, she knew Ruby was still aware of what was happening and how close these two were. They were like sisters or something.

Well Roman was like family to her, why not return the favor and take something away like family from her. Kicking away the brawler no longer thinking straight, Neo rose up her own blade before she countered the fist with her blade. Cinder however seemed confused before noticing the heiress get up with a Beowolf summon beside her. How did she get up? Before she could dwell on it, she was forced to block the summon with a blade of glass. She would dispose of her this time.

As she swung the blade down on the wolf, Weiss glared and jumped back to make some distance. Cinder grinned before she was taken aback by something striking her in the back. Turning around, she saw both the robot and the knight next to one another, the android being healed? No she wasn't being healed, her aura was being restored and she realized how the two brats recovered.

She thought the knight was killed or something, apparently he wasn't. no matter, she would deal with him now. however she was interrupted by something grabbing her and tossing her down to the ground. Looking up she noticed a giant white knight standing over her and glared.

Neo jumped back and knocked the brawler down once again, her aura once again depleted. Twisting her weapon to raise it above the now-huntress like she did back on the train, she was more than ready to finish it. Before she could however she felt something strike her from behind, Penny glaring at her as she rushed at the ice-creamed theme woman with hatred in her eyes. Neo jumped to another platform as Penny followed. Jaune however ran to Ruby and Yang with horror on his face.

"Ruby, Hold on… I'll try to stop the bleeding!" he shouted as he channeled his aura into hers while she winced in pain. As she felt her aura slowly being restored and hopefully try to heal her she was interrupted from her musings by a shout and a burst of flames. Cinder glared as Weiss was knocked down with burns on her face. "Weiss!" Jaune called out in fear as Ruby got up, using her hood for a bandage while Jaune continued to amplify her aura to better heal her.

Seeing the fight with the android and the criminal, she snarled as she formed an arrow and aimed between them both. As she fired it, Penny jumped back as Neo turned to cover her face before they were suddenly repelled back and gripping the edge to avoid falling. Neo cursed as she felt her aura drop to nothing. Turning towards Cinder, she glared at the maiden who ignored her and held her hand out at the android.

Penny got up and glared only to feel her aura drop to nothing as well. Before she could react however she felt something ache within her. Something was wrong, looking over her systems she realized there were damages she didn't notice. Even if Friend-Jaune could amplify aura, he couldn't regenerate flesh or in her case, metal. Before she could respond however she suddenly shook violently and let out a cry of her own as Cinder glared, her monstrous arm stretched out and impaling the android as she felt the aura and Winter Maiden's power flow within her.

As she walked towards the hanging girl, Neo made her way up before she was grabbed by her neck and thrown down to the ground, Cinder grinning cruelly at her. "Neo, you've outlived your usefulness" she stated as she looked at the young woman in disgust, it was what she deserved for attacking and threatening her. However before she could finish the job, a new voice called out to her.

"Let her go!" Ruby, despite being in such pain shouted as she used her somewhat replenished aura to shoot at Cinder and deliver an attack with a familiar blade, Crocea Mors in her hand in its extended "Long-Sword" form. Cinder let out a cry of pain as Neo looked at the reaper in disbelief. As Cinder retaliated and knocked her down to the ground with the sword falling to the ground.

"And you, you should've never been born" Cinder said calmly but filled with rage. Neo looked at the robot and the arm before glaring at the woman she was going to kill after she was done with Ruby Rose. But while she wanted to wait until she was in a better position, she knew this was it. Grasping the blade and raising it in the sky, she swung it down and sliced off the arm that transferred the Winter Maiden's power to the woman she now wanted to kill the most.

Cinder let out a cry of pain as she eyed Neo in pure hatred as the now armed girl went for another shot. Cinder glared and jumped back and formed her own sword before bringing it to meet the stolen blade. Neo silently gasped as Jaune looked on in horror as he tried to wake Yang up, his semblance failing as his aura was nearly depleted. His family's sword, the one he made with Pyrrha's armor, now shattered into nothing.

Jaune shook in rage before he slammed his fists on the ground, in frustration. While he did though, he looked down and got up to his feet before noticing something on the ground near him. His eyes widened for a second before he realized something. A plan came together and even if they did lose here, he would make damn sure he took Cinder down with him.

Ruby stared in fear as she got up. Neo barely realized what happened until it was too late as the blade slammed into the young woman and sliced her torso and off the edge to the abyss. As her blood fell from the blade, Cinder gasped as her Grimm arm regenerated.

Looking at Ruby, she cursed as she was approaching her own limits. Tyrian and Winter finally stopped fighting as both fought to a standstill. And that just left her, Ruby, the robot and-

"Hey, bitch!" Jaune shouted as he caught her attention while Ruby barely noticed him holding something in his hands and her eyes widened. A small object was in his hand, it was something that Cinder instantly recognized and froze in fear. "Catch!" Jaune shouted as he threw the Relic of Knowledge, something that Neo must have dropped in her fight with Ruby, Yang, Penny or something, off the platform and into the dark void.

"N- no!" Cinder shouted in pure disbelief as Tyrian also looked on is horror. No, this couldn't be right, did that kid just. Soon enough he realized what this meant as a whole.

Unfortunately it was too late for him, Winter snapped back to reality first and glared before grabbing her sword and swinging it at the distracted scorpion faunus, Tyrian barely felt the blow until he realized he was falling, all he could do was scream out in anger as he disappeared from the world forever.

Yang moaned slightly as her body shook from the pain. Getting up slowly, she barely noticed a wave of flames brushing past her and aimed at the person behind her. Jaune however barely dodged as he jumped to another platform and grabbed the edge before climbing up. He looked to see Cinder close the distance and felt her now regenerated Grimm arm grasp his neck.

Jaune chocked as Cinder began to crush his throat. This was it for him, he knew it but if he was going to die he was at least going to make sure she would join him soon enough. "Heh… guess you're mad, huh" Jaune asked with a knowing smile on his face as he suddenly felt his body be set ablaze, Cinder forcing herself not to kill him right then and there.

No, he was going to burn for this

"Jaune!" Ruby cried out as Weiss and Yang looked at the knight burning and held up by Cinder who took great pleasure from his screams. Before Ruby could join in the fight however she felt something grab her hand. Penny weakened and damaged glaring at Cinder. "Penny, let go… Jaune's going-" she started as Penny began to look down as her remaining aura reserves began to glow. Ruby was confused at first, wasn't she out of aura?

"R-Ruby…" Penny stuttered as her body began to shake. "T-take it…" she said as the Winter Maiden's power was in full effect and was being transferred into the reaper. Feeling the sudden pool of aura and magic, Ruby was shocked as Penny smiled sadly. "My d-dad… created me by t-transferring his a-aura into me…me…me…" she glitched as she used her father's semblance, her semblance, to do the same. She vividly recalled the general debating whether to use a machine to transfer the Fall Maiden's power into a new host before back when he first explained everything to him and Winter.

Her semblance… was similar to that; she would give Ruby anything she could. She was broken, she could barely function, and at least with Ruby it would give her a fighting chance. Ruby however realized what was happening and let go of Penny's hand as the android's aura fully diminished. Looking down, she glared as she ran towards Cinder with her semblance, forming a large scythe made of ice and grasping it in rage. She barely noticed that Penny stumbled back and was pushed away from the platform she stood on, she and the Relic of Creation falling into the abyss to join the fallen friends.

Ruby however was fighting back tears and the pain of losing her eye, fueled on both rage and adrenaline that she didn't think rationally. Pyrrha was dead, Blake was dead, Jaune was dying and now Penny was… no, she would end it. she failed too often, too many times. If she just told the truth to Ironwood, then maybe…

"Jaune!" Yang shouted as she saw her friend burn alive while Cinder was focused only on tormenting the boy she let live twice now. she could've killed him at both Beacon and Haven but didn't. and now look at what happened. No she wasn't going to kill him, she would bring him back to Salem once she was revived and blame him for everything.

She wouldn't take the fall for this; she wouldn't let this damn weakling have the last laugh.

Jaune however soon began to fade, his vision was blurring, his aura now fully out and his senses dulling before he felt something force its way out of him, a small laugh as he looked directly at Cinder and smiled.

He was smiling as he was burned to death… if only just to taunt her or because he found it amusing, he didn't know. The last thing he saw was a flash of light and something blue or something before he felt weightless was he falling into the void too. He barely noticed Cinder's body sliced in half, he barely heard Ruby call his name and try to reach him.

But by then all it was he saw was darkness, he welcomed death, it was much better than being burned alive. He felt nothing and soon he believed he was nothing.

As Ruby hovered towards the platform, she shook in rage as she realized that she made Cinder drop Jaune. Even when she cleaved the Fall Maiden in half, she didn't know where the Fall Maiden's power would go but that was probably for the best. As she felt tired, she barely noticed something grab her and fly her back to the platform. Winter, exhausted but still able to use a summoning, carried her to her sister that quickly engulfed her in a hug.

It was over, Cinder was dead, Tyrian was dead, and Hazel was gone as was Mercury and Neo. But Emerald, Blake, Jaune and Penny, they were…

Before she could finish that thought however, the area shook. Weiss standing up as Winter strained herself to keep the summon active. "Guys, the portals!" Weiss shouted as Winter looked and noticed them starting to disappear. As Weiss raced her way to the exit, Yang and Winter did the same as Ruby collapsed in her sister's arms, passing out while the blond carried her.

As the roads began to disappear, Weiss jumped through first, followed by Winter and Yang who carried an unconscious Ruby. Appearing on the other side, they were welcomed with light and sand. They escaped… they were in Vacuo.

"There they are!" a voice called out to them as Ren and Nora turned towards them, Ren being supported by what appeared to be Huntsman and Huntresses from Vacuo. Nora made her way towards them as she looked at them in horror. "What the hell… what happened!" she shouted as she noticed Ruby's injuries, Weiss's burns, Yang's wounds and Winter's bruises. But as she looked at their condition she noticed something and a dark feeling formed in her stomach.

Her heart began to hurt as Ren made his way over to them, one of the Huntsman taking Ruby to help her to a hospital. In the background, Oscar looked at them in horror, they knew Cinder arrived but seeing their condition made the farm boy freeze in fear and a certain wizard inside of him freeze in shame. Ren however noticed something, something which confirmed his partner's fears.

"Guys… w-where's Jaune" he asked as he felt some dread begin to fill him as well. Yang looked down and clenched her hands into fists, remembering the screams while Weiss looked away with tears in her eyes, having lost three more of her friends. Ren said nothing, Nora latched onto him, and the portal closed while Ozpin subconsciously took control of Oscar and let out a shout of rage and despair while he ignored the looks given to him.

After all his mistakes, all his failures, this one struck him the hardest. When he heard Cinder was there he felt fear, after they couldn't get back through the portal he felt anxiety. And now all he could feel was everything he had done collapse on top of him. He knew what had happened. Miss Belladonna, Mister Arc, even Miss Pollendinna and Miss Sustrai…

They were just more lost souls like mere pieces taken from the board because of his failures. And the worst part was, this was his entire fault. Winter approached him while Yang and Weiss stuck with Ren and Nora. As she did, Ozpin looked at her with tears in his eyes. She didn't know whose tears they were but whoever's they were, she was ready to tell him everything.

Ok so there we go. with the whole plot revolving around the latest season of RWBY I figured that this would better explain a transition into the World of One Piece than what I initially had planned but with that being said I am somewhat scrapping the idea of Marble and Mr. R as they were in the older story. instead they will be making an appearance more towards the end. Other than that, Cinder is dead, Ruby is injured, we have a bit of a more interesting cast and more.

Like I said this is a challenge off of Necro Z's story, however I feel like this is going to be less of me fulfilling a challenge and more like I'm writing my own variation of the story. So like I said before, this story is inspired by Necro Z's story, The Dawn of a New Adventure and the challenge he gave out. If you're interested in it, check out his work.

Now with that being said Jaune's crew, abilities and plot in the story is more or less fully finalized... up to the Time-Skip anyways, and I like the way it looks for the most part. It's a little different than what I had originally planned but it works out well enough. Due to me being rather bad at things like Original Main Characters I will be doing what I did in the last version of it. So while I should have it under X-Over by Default i'll leave it under RWBY x One Piece (Mostly because it has the Jaune Neo tags under RWBY and it is in Once Piece) but it does have characters from other franchises in this so like I said, I DO NOT own anything in this story.

Finally I'm sticking with the original pairing, it's a Jaune x Neo story. But that won't be until after the time-skip. Hope you all have a good night.
