A/N

I posted this for HOW LONG and didn't realize the whole chapter's formatting is horrendous. Sorry for that, fixed it now!

"Matsuno-kun?!" He said in disbelief.

"That's your name, right? I don't really know you so why do I keep calling you Chifuyu-kun?" Miyuki reasoned as she continued eating, feeling hungry.

"Huh, you're stubborn as hell. Fine, Mochizuki-san. Two can play that game."

Miyuki just rolled her eyes.

"Now that you know I'm not... Your Yuki... What do I do?" She sighed dejectedly.

"What do we do, you mean?" He mused, staring at her then back to her food. He pointed to it in an authoritative tone. "You finish your breakfast first, and then we'll discuss on how to get you back to the past."

"Okay." Miyuki nodded sullenly and sighed.

"Hey," Chifuyu's voice sweetly called out. His hand went under her chin and tilted her head up. His blue eyes looked at her in assurance.

"Everything is going to be okay," He said.

The pressure that Miyuki had been feeling built up and she found herself in tears. As she cried, Chifuyu stood up abd went to the seat next to her, then turning her to look at him and cry into the warmth of his hand.

Chifuyu kept patting her head while chanting it was going to be okay. He occassionally kissed the top of her head as he hugged her tighter, with fire burning in his eyes as he found a new, burning resolution.

"When you get back to the past, you're going to change the future, Mochizuki-san." He stated.

Miyuki looked up to him from her sniffles.

"C-Change the future...? W-Wouldn't that--" She said uncertainly, only to get cut off by him.

"Yes. Everything you see now won't happen." He said so like it was a simple thing. His hand went to her cheek and brushed them softly. "The Tsukigumi wouldn't be in the hands of Toman because of their debt. You wouldn't get married then. But most of all..." His face turned sad.

"That means... I won't meet you, Chifuyu-kun..." She gasped.

"We will never meet and have a relationship like this." He confirmed sadly.

"No, no. There should be another way!" Miyuki argued and leaned back.

"If Future Miyuki was happy enough to be with you, then why would I change it? You both were happy together! How could I change that?!" She hit him on his chest. He stopped her as he held her fist softly and put it over his heart. She could feel that his heart was beating faster than the usual.

"Yuki was never truly happy even if she was with me." He admitted sadly. "I can feel it when I'm with her. Sometimes her kisses feels desperate and she doesn't want me to go. I think when I'm not there, she still cries to herself."

"You're wrong! Future Miyuki loves you!" Miyuki leaned closer and held his face.

"How'd you know?" He said dejectedly.

"I know so! I... I-I FEEL SO!" She declared, "Why would I cheat-- Begin, a secret relationship with you?" She stood up and pulled him to her bedroom. She pushed him to sit on the bed while she took out the covered diaries from the bookshelf. She took the third, fourth, and fifth book and gave it to him.

"Future Miyuki loves you, Chifuyu-kun." She said as his eyed darted between the lines of the book. He seemed to know which date to search and went there. He gasped. He trembled. He read more and more and more...

His eyes shed a lone tear.

"I... I love her so much too. She's my everything." He admitted, and rubbed his eyes.

"I want to be able to hold hands in her in public. Show the world she's actually mine and not his. Sadly it couldn't be that way." Miyuki sighed and sat down next to him.

"That is why I asked you to change the future in the past, Mochizuki-san."

"Just call me Miyuki."

"Right, Miyuki..." He leaned in closer to her, their foreheads touching.

"I wish I could kiss you right now... But you're not my Yuki. You're her in the past. As much as I love kissing you..." His hand softly tucked a strand behind her ear and cupped her face.

"...What's stopping you then?" Miyuki stared into his blue orbs intensely, feeling a passionate burn inside. "I'm still Miyuki. You can just kiss me," She stated simply.

He stayed silent and analysed between the lines. Carefully, he answered, "You don't love me the way she does." He patted her head softly.

His little actions made her heart flutter. She could feel a blush coming up and bit her lip. Chifuyu gulped at that.

"...Maybe..." She softly whispered as she leaned closer to him. Feeling brave, she rubbed her hands in his chest to his shoulders to keep him in place. "I'm falling in love with you, Chifuyu-kun."

Miyuki closed her eyes and gave a light peck to his lips.

As she pulled away, his face was hidden by his bangs. She tilted her head in confusion, shocked seeing his red face.

"Future Miyuki never did it first, it was always me..." He whispered as he covered his lips. "Who knew the past you had more guts than her...?" He said amusedly as his eyes bore into hers.

Miyuki smiled.

"Hey, I'm still me." She pointed out. "Maybe one day I would be like your Yuki."

"I hope not. Please stay this way." He said seriously and put her hand on top of his chest again, feeling his heartbeat. It was faster than before, making her eyes widen.

"I knew it... I liked the past you more." Chifuyu sighed dejectedly, feeling like he got slapped by new facts.

Miyuki sighed too.

"Alright, I will change the future for you two." She resoluted, making Chifuyu look up. "When I go back... If I can ever go back... I would change everything. I want you and me to be happy."

Chifuyu nodded.

"Alright, what do you need?"

"So... To not go bankrupt we need money. You can start by finding me the lottery numbers from twelve years ago around this time."

"I can do that."

"Then... give me notes on important events so I can memorize it."

"Yep, on it," Chifuyu noted as he took out his phone.

"Hmm... Where you would be around this time twelve years ago, Chifuyu-kun?" She asked.

"Hm? Why?" He looked up from his phone to see her cheeky smile.

"Of course I would find you, dummy." She giggled as she kissed his cheek. "If you're like this in the past I won't hesitate to have a crush on you instead, now that I know you saved me."

Chifuyu grumbled and looked away, blushing.

"Fine," He pouted, "I would probably be with Baji-san mostly and Toman, but I'm warning you..." He stared into her eyes seriously.

"Me 12 years ago isn't the same with me now."

Miyuki actually laughed at that. Chifuyu got frustrated.

"Of course I know! But you're still you. This part of you had to be inside, somewhere."

"Fine..." He stole a quick peck to her lips.

"Just don't blame me when I'm not this attentive."

Chifuyu got her everything in record time. The lottery numbers which Miyuki tried to ingrain inside her head, the important events like Baji-san's death... Miyuki swore to help him. His death seem to affect Chifuyu the most. She knew he didn't really imply it but he could see the hope in his blue eyes as he spoke about the possibilities.

"Now, to get you back..." He trailed off.

"How?" She sighed as she sprawled in the bed.

"My theory is... When you flew the paper plane in the bridge, I caught it. Maybe that's your key?"

"No, no... I did more than that. I wrote my wishes and kissed my necklace hoping it would come true. Then I slipped in the river." She shuddered. "I don't need to jump to water again, right? I think I'm scared of them now..."

"Worst case scenario." He patted her shoulders.

"Alright, we could just try each one, hoping that it would trigger you to the past." He found a notepad in her table and a pen, then gave it to her.

"Try to write something that may trigger the key." He encouraged. Miyuki accepted the paper and sighed, not knowing what to write. She leaned her back into her headboard and concentrated.

An idea suddenly went off inside her head.

"Chifuyu-kun..." She called out. Said man turned around, attentive.

"Yes?"

"If I change the future, would this version of you disappear?" She theorized. "I heard something called the butterfly effect and how little things affect a bigger picture."

Chifuyu smiled and assured her, "Don't worry, Yuki." He patted her head lovingly. "Just live in the present and enjoy your life."

At that, she pulled him closer and kissed him on the lips, desperate. Like she wouldn't see him again. This version of him. Chifuyu responded eagerly but stopped her.

"Thank you. Now it's my turn." He pulled her into his lap and hugged her waist, leaning closer to capture her lips on his own.

It was sweeter, this time. They made out like they would not see each other again. His tongue went inside and met hers and they shared a passionate kiss like the one he gave her when she got to the future. She moaned as he hit her sweet spots and she could feel her core burning as something rubbed against it.

They reluctantly broke apart as they knew, If it went further, she won't ever leave and go back.

"I'll miss you," She admitted softly, forehead meeting his.

"I'll miss you too," He kissed her forehead.

"Now, let's try it, shall we?" They stood in her room at a distance. Chifuyu said that he caught her paper plane and they decided to do so.

With the paper plane in her hands and the writing inside, she felt heavy.

"Here we go," She got in a position to fly it, "See you again, Chifuyu-kun..."

"You too, Yuki..." He got in a position too.

Miyuki flew the paper plane which he caught, and kissed her half moon necklace with a wish, closing her eyes.

"I wish to go back to the past!" She prayed, but nothing happened and she opened her eyes again.

She saw Chifuyu's shocked face as a tear dropped. He was reading the contents of the paper plane.

He walked to her and hugged her, their foreheads meeting again and whispered to her lips,

"I love you, Miyuki. Until we meet again," He kissed her deeply, desperate with longing.

And then, Miyuki felt a flash.

Future Miyuki fainted in his arms and Chifuyu carefully laid her on her bed. It must have worked!
He sighed as he sat down on the edge of her bed, roughly ruffling his hair in frustration as he reread her paper plane letter again.

Dear Chifuyu-kun,

Thank you for everything. You were genuine and truly wanted to help me go back to the past... My present, and you were so ready to risk it all, even our future relationship for my own. I am truly grateful for that, and if Future me never said this to you cuz I think I would be too shy...

I love you.

Thank you for helping me!

I hope we will truly meet again.

I will find you in my present, and who knows?

I will fall in love with you again.

Thank you.

Love,

Your Yuki.

PS. I really hope you'll do fine. Till we meet again!
