A/N: I know, I have been MIA. I am going through some pretty heavy things personally and I have had to take a step back in order to be more present with my kids. I am really hoping to get back into some sort of cadence of updates. But I am not going to make promises I can't keep. I do promise this WILL be finished. You all know how I feel about unfinished work at this point. I will be updating The Call asap as well.

Chapter 50

Arizona and Sofia were currently 5 holes into her first practice round for The Race. It was crazy to think that the last time she was here, she was single and just entering the PGA. Now she was married, had a daughter, was actively trying to expand her family, and had already won multiple PGA tournaments. What a difference a year makes.

"Mama, I think I should use my 5 iron but Uncle Tim said to use my 8." Sofia pouted. Arizona had to laugh. She had the same disagreement with her brother at least once a tournament. Tim was partial to the 8 because Arizona shot so well with it. It was very clear that his sister's game was how he was working to tailor Sofia's game.

"Remember Sof, I told you that you won't always agree with your caddy. So, listen to why he thinks that. They are your teammate. Their opinions matter." Arizona watched her daughter actively try to not role her eyes. It was a look she was all too familiar with these days. It was hard to believe that Sofia was going to 8 soon. She and Callie had been together for a little over a year. She met the little girl when she was just 6 almost 7. She was lucky to have a front row seat to Sofia's last year. She never knew it was possible to love someone as much as she loved her daughter. She didn't see her first steps, or hear her first words, but it didn't matter. She saw her first golf swing, first Disney World trip, and she would be there for many more first.

She watched as Sofia pulled back, with the 8 iron Tim had handed her and hit an absolutely beautiful chip right onto the green. "Wow, Sof! Great shot." Tim yelled. "Thanks, Uncle Tim." Sofia smiled. Arizona gave Sofia a look telling her she was proud of her. She tried her best to teach Sofia the game without being bias. She knew Sofia had extreme talent, and she wanted to cultivate that. Because of this she often flip flopped between Mom and coach. She had sat with Callie a while back and informed her that she truly thought Sofia could have a future in golf. Callie laughed her off as just being a proud excited parent. But Arizona knew what she saw in front of her.

The day progressed nicely on the green and Arizona truly enjoyed Sofia's company. She had seen many fellow golfers and introduced Sofia to many of them. She knew this would be the only chance she had to take Sofia out over the next few weeks. After today, the course would be reserved for PGA players only. She made sure to keep the pace slow and just enjoy the day with her daughter. As they approached the 18th hole, Sofia was talking with an employee of The Calliope that she had known since she was a little girl. Tim approached Arizona and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "She's actually really good, AZ." He said with a proud smile. "Right? I told Callie that she had a future, but she thought I was just being a bias Mom." Arizona laughed. "Did you ever think we would be here? Both married to amazing women, and parents?" Tim smiled. Arizona was about to respond when she put together what Tim had just said. "Wait. Parents?... Tim?" Arizona's eyes got big and she looked at the smile that was on her brother's face. "Teddy wanted to tell you, but I told her that I wanted to be the one. I'm going to be a Dad!" Tim's eyes were full of unshed tears. He and Teddy had been trying for a bit and they finally got a positive test the morning after Arizona's wedding. "Timmy! Oh…I…I am going to be an aunt! Congratulations. We have to celebrate! Wait. How is Teddy? Is she feeling okay?" Arizona was rambling. Her brother and best friend were having a baby! "She is tired but other than that she has been doing pretty good."

"Wow, this is. This is just incredible." Arizona hugged her brother tightly.

"Please don't tell anyone. Teds and I plan to tell Mom and Dad when they come in for the tournament next week. You can tell Callie, and Ted knows I am telling you today. But other than that, please keep it to yourself. She is only about 9 weeks. We had a few false negative tests and she was FREAKING because she drank at the bachelorette party and wedding. But the doctor said it was fine." Rambling when excited or nervous was a Robbins thing and Tim was currently doing it.

"Tim. You have my word. Congratulations. I can't wait!" Arizona was secretly hoping she and Callie would be able to get pregnant soon. The idea of her kids growing up with Tim's made her heart soar. Sofia would be the best big cousin and big sister.

First day of The Race

Arizona woke up next to her wife for the third straight week. She was really enjoying being home with her family. If only all the tournaments could be this close to home.

Callie had been extremely tired the last week. The hormone injections she was taking were starting to wear on her. Her emotions had been all over the place. She would go from laughing, to crying, to wanting to tear Arizona's clothes off. Last night they had gone to bed early in anticipation of today. Callie wanted to stay up and watch a movie and when Arizona fell asleep during the movie, Callie had gotten mad at her and then cried because she said Arizona thought they were a "boring married couple". Honestly, the blonde found herself just agreeing with her wife blindly these days. She hated to see her wife go through this and she was insanely grateful that Callie was willing to do this in order for them to expand their family. She had two more weeks of shots and then she would take her ovulation trigger injection. The timing was going to work out perfectly. Arizona would be home from her next tournament the day she had to give Callie the injection, then she would be home 4 days after so they could try home insemination. They had been really lucky in terms of the timing. Addison had been gracious enough to agree to give Callie her hormone shots while Arizona would be out of town the last few days she required them. But the ovulation shot would be done by Arizona at home. Addison warned them that sometimes the ovulation shot burned and caused dizziness so she insisted that Callie not take it when she was alone. Plus, the day of the shot they would try the insemination that night. Then try for 4 nights in a row after that. Once that was done, they could take a test 2 weeks later. It was A LOT of math and even more planning, but it was the reality of their situation. Arizona wished more than anything she could just get Callie pregnant, but that wasn't their reality. It took planning, science, sperm donors, and a lot of needles in her wife's behind.

"I can literally hear you thinking, babe. What's up?" Callie mumbled in her sleep filled voice.

"Just thinking about today." Arizona lied. She didn't want Callie to know how much she had been thinking about their plans to expand their family. She didn't want to put the pressure on her wife. She knew Callie was feeling it enough.

"Are you nervous?" The brunette asked as she snuggled into Arizona's side. Arizona wrapped her arm around her wife bringing her in closer.

"Yes and no. Yes, because I always get a little nervous before tournaments. No, because I know no matter what I get to come home to you and Sof tonight." Arizona kissed the crown of Callie's head.

"Such a sweet talker." The brunette laughed. "You love it." Arizona tipped her wife's head up and kissed her lips. "Good morning." Arizona smiled down at the woman in her arms. They met at this tournament just a short year ago. "Mmmm. Morning." Callie kissed her back.

Arizona went to get up but was pulled back by her wife. "Calliope, I have to get ready. I have a whole process." Arizona laughed as Callie hovered over her. "But how much better would that process be if it started off with your wife making you scream her name?" Callie husked into Arizona's ear. Arizona looked over at the clock and saw that she only had an hour to get ready and get to the course. Normally she gave herself a lot more time, but she now lived close and Callie said she would be setting the alarm last night, which she apparently didn't do.

"As AMAZING as that sounds, I only have an hour to get to the media event." They were now in the last week of the race. The first week is basically media and practice. But this would be the week where Arizona would play her two rounds to qualify for the weekend play. The last week had been light for her and Callie so they were able to spend a lot of overdue time together as a family. Arizona pulled her wife in and kissed her passionately to try to soften the blow of telling her no.

Apparently, the kiss did not do the trick because when she opened her eyes she was met with the tear-filled eyes of her wife. "Calliope, baby. No. Please don't cry. You have no idea how badly I want you. But I didn't set my alarm last night." Arizona brushed the brunette hair out of her wife's eyes.

"It's fine, Arizona." Callie rolled off her wife and headed towards the bathroom.

"Calliope. Stop." Arizona was off the bed after her wife. She really didn't need this today.

"No. You're right. I didn't set the alarm and now you have to rush."

"That is NOT what I said. Cal. Seriously, it is my fault. I know you were tired too. I had to be up; my alarm is my responsibility. Can we rain check the amazing wake up call to tonight? I am going to have to see you commanding all those people today and it is going to drive me wild." Arizona was really trying here. Calliope on hormones was tough on everyone, no one more than Callie herself.

"Okay." Callie tried to hide her smile. She knew she had been completely unpredictable lately and she knew Arizona was really trying.

"Yea?" Arizona smiled at her wife. "What about a shower together? Strictly a shower because we both know how we can get carried away. But I would really love to spend some extra time with you this morning. Then we have to do your shot before I leave." Arizona walked up and embraced her wife. She smiled when she felt her wife nod yes into her shoulder and return the hug.

"Perfect. Let's go babe." Arizona grabbed Callie's hand and led her to their master bathroom.

After finishing up all of the required media for the day, Arizona is set to tee off for the day. She is pleasantly surprised that her partner today is Derek Shepard. Once they finish today's round, it will depend on placement for who she is paired with. Arizona golfs today, Tuesday, then again on Thursday. Those two rounds are added together and the top 10 qualify for the weekend play. The competition this year was tough. While George O'Malley was no longer a threat, new faces such as Winston Ndugu have more than made up for his absence. Winning was never a guarantee but this year it was even more challenging.

Stepping up to the first hole, Arizona was thankful that it was a dreary day in Miami. She had an afternoon tee time and usually it was ungodly hot out. She has grown much more comfortable in the Miami Heat, but still, no one wants to golf in it. Arizona takes her driver from Tim and tees up. She pulls back and rips a bullet shot right down the green. "Should I be concerned you have an unfair advantage? The course is named after your wife." Derek joked. He stepped up to the first hole and winked at Arizona. Derek and Meredith had actually become dear friends to her family over the last year.

Arizona laughed as Derek drilled an even more perfect drive down the green. "Yeah…I can see you are struggling, Shepard." Arizona shook her head and walked towards her ball.

A light rain had started and the radar was indicating some inclement weather heading their way. Arizona was taking her break at the 9th hole and was more than satisfied with the view in front of her. Callie was currently yelling at someone in Spanish. Arizona was able to gather a few words and she had surmised that Callie was trying to get the PGA employees to move it along so there wouldn't be any delays due to the impending storm.

Seeing Callie angry was a major turn on for Arizona. Especially when the anger was not directed at her. Sprinkle in the Spanish and Arizona knew she was blushing. She was not afraid to admit that her wife turned her on intensely.

"You look like 17-year-old Arizona when you saw boobs for the first time. What are you looking at?" Tim asked as he looked around the course. He zeroed in on Callie who seemed to be upset about something. He had never really seen his sister-in-law lose her temper, but it seemed someone did something to make her angry. "Seriously, AZ….?" Tim looked at his sister.

"Oh, come on! You mean to tell me she doesn't look hot right now?" Arizona questioned her brother but immediately regretted it. "Don't answer that question. Actually, go away. Don't look at my wife." She jokingly shoved her brother away from them.

Arizona's throat dried when she glanced up and saw dark brown eyes staring at her giving her a look she knew all too well. When Callie was stressed, she had been known of want to release that stress in a certain way. Pair that with the hormones and Arizona knew she was in trouble. She watched as her wife walked, no more like stalked, towards her.

"You're in trouble, AZ." Tim laughed. He was misinterpreting the look in Callie's eyes as anger at Arizona laughing with Tim. He had no idea how Callie was actually feeling at the moment. "I'm going to go. Teddy is with Mom and Dad. Good luck!" Tim quickly walked away.

Callie didn't even say a word to Arizona as she walked past her. She knew that Arizona was well aware of what she wanted her to do. She glanced behind her and smiled to herself at the fact her wife was following her. Grabbing the keys from her lanyard, Callie walked straight to the maintenance office that was located on the 9th hole. She unlocked the door, knowing it wasn't currently in use because of The Race, and waited to hear the door close behind her indicating Arizona was inside.

"Everything okay out there, boss?" Arizona joked, trying to keep her composure. She let out an audible gasp when Callie turned around. Her eyes were black with lust.

"No. But I don't want to talk about that right now. Right now. I need you. I need you inside of me." Callie husked as she walked towards Arizona. With every step she took she unbuttoned a shirt button until she was standing directly in front of her wife in a pencil skirt and a white silk blouse that was open revealing a deep purple lace bra.

"C-calliope. I only have 10 minutes." Arizona whimpered.

Callie grabbed Arizona's waist and pulled her forward. "This won't take long." Callie sat back on the couch and motioned for Arizona to join her.

"Are you sure?" Arizona asked.

"Mrs. Robbins-Torres. I need you to shut up and fuck me." Callie pulled Arizona into a searing kiss. She felt her wife's hands grab both sides of her skirt and thrust it up to her hips. She smiled into the kiss at the moan that left her wife's lips when she noted how wet Callie was.

"Like I said, it won't take long baby. Just make me c-." The wind was knocked out of Callie as Arizona roughly entered her with two fingers. She needed this. The day had been an absolute disaster and Callie was so tense she was about to explode. That and the hormone shots were making her feel quite actually crazy. She leaned her head back and moaned as Arizona began kissing her neck all while she pumped in and out of her hard and fast.

"Yes!" Callie screamed. She felt her orgasm barreling towards her.

"I love you, Calliope." Arizona always made sure she said that when it was just quick and dirty. It was something that Callie loved about her.

"I-Arizonaaa!" Callie moaned as she came undone. She felt her whole body go rigid and then all at once all the stress from her muscles melted.

"There she is." Arizona joked as she peppered Callie's face with kisses. Callie chuckled and opened her post sex haze eyes.

"Today sucks. No one wants to listen and I just want to lay in bed with you all day." Callie whined.

Glancing at the clock Arizona knew she only had a couple minutes to get back outside.

"There is nothing I want more. But I have to go. I hate to leave you like this, but duty calls." Arizona stood up and adjusted her clothing in an attempt to not give away what had just happened in this building. She ran over to the skink and washed her hands and splashed water on her face.

"I love you Calliope. I promise all the cuddles tonight!" Arizona kissed Callie's head and was out the door before Callie could speak.

"Talk about a booty call." Callie mumbled before she stood up and fixed herself.

Arizona approached the 18th hole feeling like she was walking on air. She was golfing out of her mind today. When she glanced at the leaderboard her feelings were validated as she sat comfortably in first place by three strokes.

"Having quite the day, sis." Tim smiled at her.

"Thank you. It has been a good day." Arizona kept it short. Tim had been glancing at her since she returned from her afternoon tryst with Callie.

"Yeah. That break seemed to put a pep in your step." Tim winked.

Arizona blushed and took the offered driver. She stepped up to the tee and took a deep breath. Pulling back, she connected with the ball and right from the moment the club and ball met Arizona knew it was a bad shot. The normally crisp sound was replaced by a "tink" indicating it wasn't clean. She watched as her ball shanked to the right and went somewhere deep into the woods.

"Son of a bitch." Arizona mumbled. This wouldn't hurt her too much but she was still annoyed at the turn of events. She didn't know why but her driver felt off. She handed it to Tim who gave her an apologetic smile and they headed off in search of her ball.

Finally, after making her way through what felt like a hundred miles of forest she saw what she was searching for. She took the offered iron from Tim and basically sent up a prayer that the ball would make it out of the forest. She chipped it and watched it soar through tree after tree somehow not hitting any of them on the way out. It eventually found it's way out near the green and Arizona heard the crowd cheering as she walked towards the ball.

"Go Mama!" Arizona heard through all the yelling. She glanced over and saw Sofia wearing the exact outfit she was currently wearing. Arizona had to fight back the tears. She adjusted her well worn pink hat and waved to the crowd. She motioned for Sofia to come over and she watched as her daughter looked up at her wife looking for confirmation that it was okay. Callie looked at Arizona and the two had an entire conversation with just their eyes. Her wife looked over at Sofia and nodded. Arizona watched a smile that so closely resembled the one she fell in love with a year ago break out across her daughter's face. Her daughter sprinted towards her and since The Calliope staff knew Sofia she wasn't stopped.

"Mama! Am I allowed to be here?" Sofia asked as her mother looked at her.

"Of course, you can. I need a caddy. Uncle Tim isn't doing the best today." Arizona winked at Tim letting him know that she was joking.

"Wait. Me?" Sofia asked.

"Yeah, you. I need your help. What do you think I should do here?" Arizona stood silently as her daughter looked at everything that was going on around her. She watched as Sofia's eyes traveled all over the green assessing the terrain. Finally, Arizona watched as her daughter's mind had been made up. The pieces of a puzzle all coming together.

"I would use a 7 but I think you should use a 5. You hit better with it." Sofia confidently decided. She smiled as her brother looked on proudly.

"You know what, Sof. That is a fantastic idea." Sofia stood there proud of herself but wondering why her no one was moving. "You have to give her the club" Tim whispered. That seemed to spring Sofia into action. She ran over to her mother's bag and grabbed the 5 iron. She handed it to her mother and watched as she took the offered club. Kissing her forehead her mother turned around and walked towards her ball.

The way her mother commanded a golf course was like nothing she had ever seen before. She knew she was not the only one who noticed. When she was younger she thought she wanted to be a teacher. But now, now Sofia wanted to be just like her Mama. She wanted to play golf.

Arizona pulled back and chipped a perfectly directed ball onto the green. It rolled towards the hole and stopped just shy.

"Yeah Mama!" Sofia screamed.

Sofia ran towards her mother with her favorite putter, eager to the play the part of her caddy. Arizona traded clubs with her daughter. "Thank you baby girl."

Arizona circled the hole; one she knew like the back of her hand. She had played this course so many times. She walked up to her ball and hit it gently to the left, knowing exactly where every dip in the green was. She watched as her ball rolled at the perfect speed in the direction of the hole. As soon as she heard it hit the bottom of the hole she heard the crowd begin to roar. It really was a good putt.

Arizona turned around and was greeted by her daughter. "Good job Mama! I knew you remembered the dip." Sofia whispered as her mother picked her up.

"Are you busy on Thursday, Sof?" Arizona asked.

"Um. I don't know when I am busy. You have to ask Mami." Sofia deadpanned.

"Well, I think you may need to help Uncle Tim caddy for me." Arizona smiled down at her daughter.

"As long as you pay me!" Sofia replied.

"That's my girl." Tim laughed behind them.

The three of them walked towards the clubhouse where they were met with cheers from Callie, Teddy, and Arizona's parents.

"Good round, Bug." Her Dad hugged her.

"I told her what club to use!" Sofia pipped in.

"I couldn't have done it without you, Sof." Arizona knew she had just created a monster.
