Chapter 2

I finish my crafting of a shield I made with the bit of Iron I got Previously, I had also gone hunting for cows and gotten a good amount of steak and leather. After I finish the Shield, I craft a full set of Leather armor for myself as I say "Ok I'm ready...well who am I kidding I'm not really ready but I'm sort of ready to at least try." Before I go, I grab a bow and some arrows that I had gotten from some skeletons I took care of and I head off to that strange structure I saw the day previously. I had decided my first course of action would be seeing what exactly that was that I saw during that night.

I make my way to the Hill and I can tell it's the same spot because of the hole left from that Creeper explosion. I look and see...a Tower, upon closer inspection it appears to be an Illiger tower. Illigers, those guys are nothing but trouble, they like nothing more to do than Pillage and steal from anyone they come across and aren't afraid to get violent either. This isn't the first time I've come across them but of course with my luck my new home happens to be nearby their base they have out here. I'll have to be careful and make sure they don't know about my house out here.

Some thinking and I decide to sneak closer to check the base out, I'm not strong enough yet but once I am I hear Illiger bases can have some pretty sweet loot in them. I hide behind some rocks with my bow ready just in case as I overhear some Illigers talking, "Hey are they back from that Raid yet?" one of them askes. The other responds "Yeah, the boys just got back from a raid on that Witches mansion we found, the witch was pretty tough but nothing our boss couldn't handle." Hmm a Witches Mansion, Witches are definitely not pushovers with their Magic spells and Potions...I wonder how skilled this witch was? The Illigers continue talking "Heh she thought her magic would give her the edge but our boss knew magic too and was better at it than her, from what I hear she was still a newbie to the Witch stuff."

Ah that explains it, she was a Novice but even more concerning was that these guy's boss knew magic himself...Not all Illigers have one boss, they work more like separate gangs that will Collab on occasion. I'll just need to hope I don't meet their boss too soon yet, not until I'm ready at least. It's then that I overhear something that Intrigues me, "We got some pretty nice stuff from that raid too I hear, some nice magic items" Oh? Now that has my attention, magic items tend to be very useful. The Illiger respond's "Oh Yeah! I heard we got a Trident, a magic book and get this...a Nether Star!"

They continue talking but I was distracted thinking to myself, an enchanted trident would have one of a few enchantments that would prove useful and that magic book could be anything as well. But a Nether Star...that's something you can rarely get cause of what you'd need to go through to get it. Yes, I definitely need to come back here when I'm strong enough and get my hands on this loot, it would be most fortunate. However, as I'm thinking to myself, I hear "INTRUDER!" and I quickly turn my attention towards the Illigers that spotted me while I was distracted with their crossbow's aimed at me.

Arrows are fired fast in my direction and I quickly roll to the side and return fire with my own arrows, I hit one of them dead on dropping him to the ground while I miss the other who takes the chance to fire another arrow that barely misses my face leaving a cut on my cheek. I wipe the blood off before taking out my sword and shield and charge the menace, he fires another shot but It's blocked by my shield as I close the distance and sweep his leg with the sword knocking him down before I finish him off with a blow to the skull.

With the Illigers who spotted me down I prepared to flee but I had already attracted unwanted attention as more Illigers swarm out to...Oh dear that's quite a lot of them. Hails of arrows fly my way as I deflect them with the shield while also running, I break into the forest hoping to lose them in all the trees as some arrows do hit their mark but aren't too bad with my armor taking the blunt of the damage.

I dash though the forest while trying to lose these guys, seriously how do guys like Dream make this look so easy? The Illigers just won't let up and I'm going to tire out at this rate, I decide to try something and I climb into some trees and get on top of the forest. More arrows fly at me but don't hit as I hop between the trees, it is then that I notice a cliffside and I get an idea. I hop back onto the ground and dash for the cliff and jump off it, the Illigers follow on look down...to see nothing to their confusion.

Unknown to them I actually caught myself on a ledge and Mined into the side of the cliff and kept going until I was a good distance away and then remerged. I eat some of my cooked steak trying to get some energy back as I make my way back being careful not to get spotted this time, however I then come across the Illiger tower again...and I get a little greedy this time.

Listen besides greed it was also pettiness for all the ganging up and chasing those Illigers put me through, so I manage to sneak up the tower since those idiots used a lot of their forces to chase me leaving their base barely guarded for the time being. I arrive at the top of the tower and find a chest there that I look through, I find some pretty basic stuff and some gunpowder but nothing too useful for my goals.

I don't find any of the Magic Items they talked about having but I do find a strange letter-...wait...wait I know this symbol, the symbol on this letter is familiar to me. This is the symbol of the kingdom my friend used to rule, I quickly open the letter and my curiosity quickly turns to disgust. The boss of these Illigers was once a trading partner with my friend's kingdom but once they discovered his criminal acts, they stopped trade with him and rightfully put a bounty on his head. The letter was a letter telling him that the deal was off, I turned the letter around to find that someone wrote on the back "Who's laughing now?"

This man...This Monster! He must have heard about what happened to the kingdom and is laughing at it, he was making fun of billions of lives that were ruined by the events that erased that kingdom! MY FRIENDS KINGDOM! I will not stand for this. My mind is made up, I'm not going to just rob this tower when I get back because I will destroy it. It may be petty and fueled by vengeance but I don't care, I'm going to gear up and then come back and burn this tower to the ground and if I ever meet these Illiger's boss I'm going to make sure he pays for these insults and crimes.

I make my way off the tower and sneak away just in time as the other Illigers come back from their manhunt. I sneak back home and eat a little more as well as drinking some water before I collapse on my bed. There's a fire burning in me now and those heathens were the ones that ignited it. I don't have time to dwell on it though as I need to rest so I let sleep overcome me. Those Illigers will be in for an Explosive surprise just they wait, until then I dream about going home.
