Chapter 3

I Slipped on my hoodie as I prepared for the task I had today, it was a nice hoodie with a purple hood and purple stripes along the arms while the rest of the hoodie looked like the stars and galaxies of outer space. I've always liked space, so big and vast and full of so many wondrous possibility and adventure! If I remember right, I'm pretty sure in one dimension I actually got to visit space; Zero G was pretty fun to experience! I'm getting off topic though, today was a special day for it was the day those Illigers finally get what's coming to them.

I had been stocking up on Iron for just this occasion and finally had enough to get myself all the good stuff. I've got a full set of Iron armor now and Iron tools like a Sword, Pickaxe and axe. I even managed to pick of my own crossbow from an Illiger that wandered too far from base, I even tamed my own horse as a bonus that I named "Buddy." using buddy to move faster and while it was dark, I had previously put a bunch of TNT I crafted all over their base (took a lot of creepers to get that gunpowder) and now I just had to Ignite it. I gear up and then pet Buddy on his head while also giving him an apple before I saddle up with him and head off to the Illiger tower. The sun was coming up but by the time they notice the TNT it will be too late.

I have Buddy leap right over one unsuspecting Illiger's head before also having Buddy give them a double kick to the face knocking them right out, before anyone else can notice me I light a match and toss it onto the nearest TNT I had placed down and then quickly have Buddy move us away from the splash zone. In the distance I can hear one of them go "WHAT THE-" before their scream is replaced by the sound of loud "BOOMS" echoing through the area, dang I think from the distance we're at I can still feel some of the heat from the explosion. I circle us back and can see the wreckage of the tower as I smile a sadistic grin before I bring us back to take a look at what remains, there were a few Illigers left but they were swiftly taken care of thanks to my Sword, crossbow and Buddy's speed. However, I didn't see any signs of a boss so it looks like he wasn't here, once all the threats are taken care of, I notice something in the ground as I hop off Buddy to take a look.

It was a hole with a Chest in it, it must have been a secret compartment in the tower that I didn't notice before because it was hidden in the floor. I open the chest to find...I chuckle as I finally found where they were keeping the good stuff, I find an enchanted trident and a magic book. I don't see the Nether Star I heard about though which confuses me, that was until I also noticed a map in the chest that showed a list of a few more bases these guys had, it also appeared that my earlier intrusion had made them paranoid and so they were in the process of moving some of their goods to a different base. Unlucky for them I had a map to their other base now and I'm definitely going to go find that Nether Star next. I next take a look at the trident and notice it has the Riptide enchantment, that'll prove useful, especially if it's raining.

Finally, I open up the magic book and notice it doesn't look like normal magic books I'd usually come across, there's only one spell on it and it reads as follows. Never be alone and be truly completed, find the shining star and recite the wish under the moon: "I summon the one who will complete me, see your reflection stare back and shift."

This must have been a spell the Witch they stole all this from was trying to do, and that shining star it says in the book...I bet that's the nether star. So, if I can get the nether star, I just might be able to use this spell to do...something with it. I don't know exactly what but hey, it sounds like fun, I'm curious and what better reasons have I needed to try stuff like this out? I close the book and place it and the trident in my inventory before heading back to my house with buddy, the Illiger's flaming wreck of a base helping me feel lighter on the way back.

Once I arrive back, I let Buddy roam around a bit as long as he stays close and then I head inside to take a break before I go looking for that other Illiger base with the Nether star supposedly in it. I-*Shudders*...that's strange I just got a chill down my back...it felt like I was being watched by someone, weird. The feeling fades though and I decide to prepare breakfast for myself since I hadn't had it yet, I just figured out how to make scrambled eggs out of some eggs I got from some chicken yesterday.

After I eat, I then lay down on my bed for a bit while thinking to myself "This is the first time I've ever actually been stuck in one of the dimensions I traveled to, I hope my family isn't too worried" I sigh before saying "Not the time to focus on that for now, eventually I'll get back and it's going to all be alright...and hey, I'll have another story to tell them at least from this." I chuckle to myself before I get out that magic book and read it once again, nothing new but it helps pass the time. "Mom would be proud to hear I actually cooked something for myself for once."

Perspective Shift

POV: Maxwell (The Illiger group's Boss)

I was starting to get a headache, some of my men had just reported to me that an unknown rouge had blown up one of our bases and the only reason I'm hearing about it ahead of when I would have been informed is cause one of them survived and reported it back to me. I wasn't in the mood for this, even if that Witch hadn't been the toughest, she still put up enough of a fight that I've been resting since that raid. But of course, while I was out someone would decide that now was the opportune time to attack one of my towers. Knowing the idiot's I work with and if this assailant is as competent as they seem they probably got one of our base maps and are coming here next, well at least by the time they should arrive I'll be back at full strength so I can teach this chump where they stand, no one messes with me and gets away Scott free.

I was busy thinking about how best I'd punish this rouge when one of my men come in as they ask "Sir Maxwell, you wanted to see me?" I take a cigar out as I say "yes come in please" before he closes the door and sits Infront of me. "So, what exactly happened out there?" I say as the grunt stutters before saying "w-we asked him everything we could but he doesn't know anything else, he just saw that they were riding a horse and wore full armor of some kind." I breath out a puff of smoke before saying "Not good enough, send a team down there and have them investigate the wreckage, I want whoever did this found."

It was then that I hear a different voice say "Oh you won't need to worry about that, something tells me he's going to be coming Straight for you." I quickly look over to see some kind of Purple Portal with a strange figure stepping out of it, I quicky press a button underneath my desk as more of my men come into the room and aim their crossbows at the intruder. "FREEZE" they shout "DON'T MOVE!"

The Intruder pauses but I swear I see a smirk before they raise their hand in the air and that's when all my men fire but then the arrows stop right before the intruder in mid-air before they do a spinning gesture with their finger and all the arrows turn around and aim at the ones who fired them, I notice a purple glow on the floating arrows. This guy then flicks his fingers and all the arrows are shot back at their targets dropping them all to the floor as this man says "Touchy touchy, I just wanted to have a word with you Mister Maxwell." I give a low snarl before summoning some Vex behind him as I say "So you know some magic tricks, but you're not the only one who knows magic you know, think you are and you'll end up like this witch I had to teach a harsh lesson to a few days back." It's then that I take in his appearance, he's got what looks like a very well make suit with a purple tie on it, he also has a black cape on his back as well as white gloves on his hands. He has black hair and what's strangest is his face for it has half of a white mask on it that only covers his left eye, speaking of which his right eye is brown while his left one appears to be an eerie purple that I think is actually glowing. I refocus my attention to notice that smug grin he's still giving me as I say "So tell me, why should me and my boys let you walk away from this after what you just pulled?"

It feels like his grin only gets wider as he says "Ah Maxwell that was all in mere self-defense, my whole reason for coming here is Because I wish to help you." He pulls some kind of glass ball out of nowhere that appears to be glowing and when I look into the ball I can see shapes in it, he then goes on saying "You know as well as I do that that rouge you mentioned is coming right here to cut the head off the snake, which in this case is you...but what If I can give you an advantage?"

"What are you talking about?" I say before with another grin he adds "I can give you the power to make sure this rouge is no trouble whatsoever; all you need to do is wish it." wish it? Really? I respond sarcastically "Oh sure, I wish my power was enhanced to levels I didn't previously have." I start laughing but as I am I almost miss hearing this guy say "Your wish is my command" and then I get a sudden but brief burning sensation that jolts my body before its feels...good?

I look around me and notice my Vex's get a little bigger than normal Vex's and they even look more...demonic if that's the right word? I don't know what this guy just did but I felt stronger, faster and tougher, my magic felt boosted as well. I look back in shock at the stranger who did this as he gives me a wave before saying "Enjoy the enchantment, your wish is yours to keep after all~" as he then proceeds to make a laugh that I swear I can hear revibrating around the room before he steps into another purple portal that appeared behind him and then just like that he vanishes without a trace.

After some time passes while I take a second to collect my thoughts one of my men comes in before saying "Sir what happened, are you alright?!" I take a look at my hand and make an orange fireball in it which then turns into a bright blue flame, I look back at him and say "you know what? I've never felt better." Oh, now this was going to be good, sirens are going to be going off when I'm done with that chump.
