The night it all started, they had been alone. The kids had gone sailing with friends. Maxwell had stayed home because of his work. So on a Friday right after school the three of them had left without him. On Saturday, Niles had gone to his butler meeting in New Jersey. He was going to spend the night there. That left just Fran and him in the mansion. They had ordered Chinese and watched a James Bond movie. At some point, probably also spurred on by the wine, he had asked Fran to dance with him and then it had happened. They had stared deeply into each other's eyes and the next moment they had fallen over each other in passion. They had started kissing wildly and tearing each other's clothes off. On the couch they had then given in to their desire. Full of passion but also with love and tenderness. Maxwell had been addicted to her. Couldn't get enough of her and her body. As he moved inside her, he kissed and caressed her all over her body and her moans and screams spurred him on even more. Fran was burning for him. She pressed herself tightly against him, wrapped her legs around him to feel him even more intensely. Together they had reached their climax and had been overwhelmed. Fran nearly fainted because the release was so strong and she couldn't handle the heat that rushed through her. Maxwell, also with a short heavy breath, had held her in his arms. Softly he stroked her hair until she calmed down.
Afterwards they had lain there in silence until they had both fallen asleep completely exhausted. In the middle of the night Fran had woken up feeling uncomfortable. Fearing his reaction, she had secretly snuck into her room. Secretly, she had fallen madly in love with him that night. Even before that, she had a little crush on him. She wondered how he was doing. Maxwell had been irritated when he woke up alone. Did she regret the night? Until Niles and the children returned, they had unconsciously avoided each other. Maxwell spent a lot of time in his office. He tried to sort out his feelings. Finally, he admitted to himself, he loves Fran. Not just for that one night, but for everything. For the liveliness she brought to the house, her care for the children, her laughter, even for the messes she sometimes get everyone into.
When everyone was home again, Fran and he dealt with each other as they used to. He was the boss, she was the nanny. Until one evening they were alone in the limo on the way home. They had come from Gracie's ballet performance. During the ride, they had finally talked about their night and their feelings. They had confessed their love for each other and had fallen into each other's arms. Together they had decided to hide their very fresh and fragile love. They wanted to discover for themselves where this relationship would lead. From then on they were secret lovers. They had gone on dates, dinner, dancing, movies, always careful not to be discovered. Fran had made up Mark to have a reason for going out so often. She also used him to keep her mother happy and as an excuse to Val. Maxwell, for his part, had come up with the story about the difficult investor, a story that no one questioned.
In the house, they were extremely careful. Only sometimes they dared to take the risk and exchanged furtive glances or touches. Only when they felt absolutely safe, they lay in each other's arms and sank into intimate kisses. For this reason, Fran wore no longer lipstick in the house so as not to reveal them. They wrote love letters to each other, which they smuggled secretly. They did not mention names in their letters, in case a letter would get into the wrong hands. With time they found more pleasure in their hiding game. There was only one problem. They could never live their love undisturbed. That's why they had come up with the idea of retreating to the Plaza.
Maxwell and Fran returned to the present. This night was already their second night spent together in this suite. Fran looked at her watch. "Oy two o'clock in the morning already! I should be getting home." Fran tried to break away from Maxwell's embrace, but he held her even tighter. "Are you crazy? Out of question! Tonight you're mine!" With those words, he dropped back into the sheets with her and kissed her gently. As he did so, his fingers loosened the accounts of her bathrobe. "Mhhh Maaaax and what shall I tell Niles and the others why I was gone all night?" "We'll worry about that in the morning." He silenced her with a long kiss. Fran melted under his caresses. Once again they gave themselves to each other until they fell asleep snuggled close together.
