He Who Hunts Alone
Fiore, Marjoram Village
A young man, only fifteen years of age, was currently wandering around looking for the town's mayor.
"Excuse me miss you wouldn't happen to know where I can find the mayor, I'm here to slay the monster that's been plaguing these here parts," the young man spoke with an unnatural politeness.
"You're a bit young ain't ya," the woman packing up her shop stall as she glanced over at the child talking to her.
"I'm fifteen, just a little short for my age. I'll have you know I'm an S-Class mage of Cait Shelter," the young man bit out as he pulled back his long sleeve shirt and exposed his orange guild mark on his right forearm.
"S-class mages are getting younger and younger it seems" the woman mutter to herself before looking towards the young man once more, taking in his appearance she noted he had blonde spiky hair a grey hooded top with the sleeves rolled up to his forearms, baggy black combat shorts and open toed sandals. On his head he had a slanted headband covering his right eye. After further analysis of the young man's face she noted he had odd whisker like marks on his cheeks and pointed ears.
'Elf? But aren't they extinct?' the woman thought to herself before responding.
"The mayor should be at the local tavern right about now. Oh, you're a bit late, love a group of Fairy Tail mages beat you to it they swung by earlier today."
"By any chance can you tell me when this group swung by?"
"Erm I dunno about three hours ago,"
The young began to shake almost violently as he heard that news.
"Are you, ok young man?" the woman was about to reach out to the young blonde before he erupted.
"GODDAMN YOU KAKASHI-SENSEI! EVEN IN A NEW LIFE YOUR TARDINESS HAS CORRUPTED ME!" the young mage yelled to the heavens.
After a few deep breaths the mage began to calm before he heard a roar in the distance followed by a burst of killing intent.
The mages eyes narrowed in the direction of the intent.
"Thank you miss for all the help but looks like I still got a job to do." The mage said as he dashed towards the sounds of an outgoing battle.
Deep in the forest outside of the town four individuals could be found in midst of a heated battle.
The scene before the young man who had just sprinted towards the source of the malice he had sensed earlier.
"What the actual fuck." The blonde cursed as he had to leap to the side to avoid an entire tree that was launched at his direction.
Looking up towards the direction flying tree came from the blonde mage made a plan.
The young mage dashed to the nearest tree still in the ground before leaping towards the peak of the tree to get better understanding of what was going on.
"EVIL EXPLOSION!" a demonic voice cried out before the area was bathed in a dark purple light.
"Alright a birds eye view." The blonde exclaimed as he reached the top of the tree. His eyes widened at imploding dome of darkness magic filled to the brim with power forcing him to shield his face.
As the magical blast died down the blonde examined the terrain noting that the landscape was decimated. As his eyes continued to scan the destruction sounds of a struggle drew his attention, deeper into the forest.
"Is that?" The Cait Shelter mage questioned as trees began falling like dominoes in his direction.
THWACKK!
A blur was knocked out of the dense forest straight towards the supposed S ranked mage.
Acting almost on instinct the blonde leapt from his position and caught the small blur with ease.
Looking down at the weight in his arms the mage smiled revealing fang like teeth
"Well someone is battling hard."
She was expecting to hit a mountain or at the very least more trees the way that beast backhanded her but hearing human speech was the last thing the young mage expected.
"Well someone is battling hard." A voice spoke to her, forcing her eyes open the mage spotted familiar whisker like birthmarks before locking eyes with her saviours one exposed amethyst coloured eye.
Her face quickly turned to a scowl.
"What are you doing here pretty boy?" she snapped.
"Pretty boy? Firstly, Mirajane we're the same age and for shame is someone still upset over our last lil' ole date?" the blonde teased.
"You cheated and you know it, damned fishcake."
"You know it means Maelstrom, not fishcake." The blonde paused to take a breath before readjusting his grip on the fairy tail mage, flinging her over his shoulder.
"Hey whatcha ya think you're doing" Mirajane shouted, her face reddening in anger.
"Just gonna finish what you started little demon, I saw that spell just as I arrived, you got some power to ya, but too see you getting handled has forced me to step in." The whiskered teen lectured as he made his way further into the decimated forest, towards the beast's location.
"Don't lecture me bastard we're the same age. What are you some kind old fart!"
The blonde-haired mage just shrugged before picking up the pace.
It had taken less than a minute of running through the trees before the two S ranked mages bumped into another familiar mop of white hair.
"Onee-chan," the white-haired girl cried out as relief washed over her face before panic set in.
'Animal soul takeover magic?' Naruto thought to himself as looked over the human bird hybrid.
"Yeah Lisanna, where's Elfman is he not with you." Mirajane questioned not really focusing on the fireman's carry anymore.
'Oh, this must be the baby Strauss.'
"That's the thing Mira-nee, after you got knocked away. He, Elf-nii decided to take on the beast himself."
"Shit." Both Mirajane and Naruto cursed simultaneously.
'Fucking shit what is he thinking,' Naruto cursed thinking back to the first time he had met Mirajane's little brother.
Mirajane in a panic began wriggle to get out the grip her other rival had on her.
"Let me go, you damn bastard, my brother needs me." Mirajane snarled.
"Hey, mini Mira." Naruto called out grabbing the youngest in the area's attention.
"Y-yes." The young girl responded uneasily.
"Look after your Mira-nee while I go save the knucklehead ok." Naruto said letting loose a fanged grin that reminded both Fairy tail mages of a certain fire eating rosette in their own guild.
"Erm right." Lisanna responded.
"Hey, don't you dare leave me be-" Mirajane was cut off as she was thrown off the Cait Shelter mages shoulder towards her sister to catch.
The blonde then reached into the pouch around his waist and pulled a small tube of orbs.
"These are sky pills made by my own lil' sis. They won't heal you, but they will help bringing a boost to your stamina, but you will be exhausted by the time it wears off." Naruto explained before chucking them over to the older sibling who caught it with her free hand.
The blonde quickly took a stance before summoning his magic power, the blonde was quickly enveloped in water and before his face was submerged, he announced the spell.
"Umiryu no Akua Suishin" the blonde said loud enough for both girls to hear him as he fully enveloped by water before rocketing into the sky and the direction, he could hear the beast roaring from.
Rocketing through the sky leaving a trail of water behind him the blonde mage focused his enhanced hearing towards the roaring. Zoning in towards the beast Naruto broke through the treetops and his eyes widened at the site.
'Shit, need to go faster.' Naruto cursed in his head as the view he came across was Elfman on his backside frozen in fear and the feral beast standing above the mage with its arms raised high about to turn the middle Strauss sibling into a smear on the ground.
"I don't think so." Naruto said as he tightened his control even further forcing his magical output generate more thrust in his spell making him move even faster.
Just as its arms were about to make contact with the fairy tail mage Naruto Changed his angle of approach the blonde flew around the beast before spinning into a full 180 degree spin causing the water trail to blast Elfman in the face before knocking him back further into the forest.
"What the?" Elfman could mutter at the site before him awakening him from his fear induced incident, before being blown away soaked to the bone.
After Elfman was blown back Naruto rocketed back up towards the enormous beast.
"Umiryu no Rasen Hon" Naruto announced from within his water propulsion spell and he began to rotate causing the spell to mimicking a sharpened water drill.
Just as Mirajane and Lisanna had arrived and Elfman had dragged himself back to his feet all they could see was a cloud of dust from when the beast's fists had imprinted the earth itself.
A second had passed and a figure covered in blood and guts crashed out of the dust cloud and came to a skidding halt, across the ground.
"Blondie?" Mirajane questioned at the somewhat gruesome looking site before her.
Naruto didn't respond to his fellow teen as he just kept his eyes on the shadowed figure still standing in the dust cloud.
It wasn't until the dust cloud settled revealing to the mages in the immediate area that a massive hole had been made within the beast's chest cavity through to its back.
The beast didn't know what had hit it. It looked down at in its own chest its armoured hide should protected it from anything, but that wasn't the case as there was a gaping hole where its heart was held. The beast attempted one last roar in defiance, in an effort to fight off the encroaching darkness of its vision. All of that effort was in vain, as it wasn't just its heart that was missing, but its lungs had been eviscerated and its spine sheared clean in two its last moments before darkness overtook was just to collapse in a heap.
'Wow,' the youngest of the Strauss siblings thought as she looked from the beast back to young mage, she had heard both Erza and his big sister complain about a whiskered face bastard whenever they would meet on S rank jobs.
'He wiped it out in one move,' Elfman thought to himself as looked on at the dying beast that had thrashed his sister and had almost killed him. The very same beast that was now on its back struggling to gasp for air, a release that will not come. 'It's like a fish out of water,' the young mage realised that even though it was soundly defeated he could finally stand by her side if he could control this beast's soul.
'You know he looks kind of cool,' the Satan soul user thought to herself as her eyes never left the ace of Cait Shelter.
Seemingly happy with his handy work Naruto stood before he started coughing and retching. Causing Mirajane and Lisanna to run over towards the water magic user. Only for as soon as they reached his side, he spat out a bone covered in what looked like muscle and tissue.
"BLAHHHH. Note to self, keep mouth closed when ripping through monsters. I think I swallowed a vertebra." Naruto muttered to himself before looking up to find two of the Strauss siblings he had met earlier.
"I know what you want to ask, yeah your brothers safe I managed to knock him in that direction somewhere." Naruto said as he pointed past the beast further into the forest. "Now if you will excuse, I am gonna wash myself off and collect my payday." The blonde had finished before summoning more water to wash the blood and fleshy bits off of him.
Lisanna and Mirajane both turned to the direction he pointed in only to gasp in shock at the sight.
"Elfman don't you dare." "Elf-Nii don't its dangerous."
Both cries drew the attention of the blonde mage causing him to look up to see Elfman kneeling on top of the beast with his hand on the undamaged part of its chest.
"Don't worry Lisanna, Mirajane with this soul I will be able to stand by your side and protect you!" Elfman roared as his magic energy soared as he attempted to absorb the beast's soul into his own magic container.
While Elfman was focusing on absorbing the beast's soul he missed the fact that the beast was no longer gasping but some how its face twisted into a bloody grin that only reflected malicious intent.
A golden light sprung from Elfmans form before changing and twisting into a slickly looking purple colour. Once the blinding light died down there in Elfmans place stood the Beast standing tall with no wounds whatsoever. At the beast's feet was no longer the beast Naruto tore apart but a man a regular sized man with greying hair and his chest still caved in.
"Oh fuck," Naruto cursed as he realised what had happened.
"Lisanna get the hell away from him now!" Mirajane roared at her youngest sibling.
"No Mira-nee its fine, see he is not attacking us." Lisanna said as she continued to approach her brothers form. "Hey Elf-nii you're in control, right? Just give us a sign so Mira-nee can calm down" Lisanna spoke calmly and clearly with her arms spread widely showing off that she posed no threat.
Elfman took a breath before raising his right paw and swung it with all of his might towards the silver haired girl.
"LISANNA!" Mirajane cried in panic.
"Akuma no Me: Kukan Senko"
"Yeah I don't think so," Naruto declared simply as he gave a look of defiance towards the beast driving Elfmans body, as he blocked the offending claw with his own natural strength.
Lisanna was thrown onto her backside from the force of the swing.
'I-I almost died,' Lisanna thought as she looked up at what she thought was her brother.
"Hey Mira, a hand please!" Naruto shouted as he glanced behind only to see the Satan soul user on her knees her will to fight broken after assuming her sister was probably dead.
'Alright no other options,' Naruto thought as he threw away the offending limb attempting to crush him, causing the beast to lose its balance and fall on its ass.
"Hey kiddo can hold tight for one sec." Naruto turned to the youngest Strauss and with a small comforting grin, he placed a hand on her shoulder. "I'm get your brother back ok but I'm going to rough him up a bit ok, go back by your sister she needs you right now."
Lisanna just nodded not trusting herself to speak but she did note his right eye was now exposed as he moved the headband covering his right eye. The eye itself had no iris like normal eyes but was almost pure white except the red markings a small red iris within a triangle within a larger triangle within a red ring.
"Alright be a dear and move right now kiddo." Naruto spoke up snapping her out of her thoughts as he turned away to face down the beast inhabiting his friends baby brother.
The beast roared and leapt towards the blonde mage that had killed him in his past life. Quickly rearing its arm back in an attempt to swat the little human into a bloody smear.
"My apologies Elfman this may hurt." Naruto apologised as he tapped into his magic.
"Umiryu no Kaiyo Hansha," Naruto announced as his dragon slayer magic summoned more water to his palms and rotated them in large circle in air in front of him with the water trailing slightly behind. Once his hands completed the motions the water formed a disc like water mirror.
As the beast got closer it spotted its reflection within the reflective disc.
"Gotcha" Naruto muttered as he smirked.
Just as the beasts shadow over took Naruto's form a copy of the beast burst out of the water disc mirroring the beasts actions catching it off guard and with the same level of strength it was going to use against the blonde, the dragon slayers copy smashed its curled clawed fist into the originals face knocking it back to the ground.
The original beast quickly hopped back up and snarled at its own reflection before the water duplicate quickly lost its colour and disassembled into water vapour.
"Hey big guy, the sun is getting real low." Naruto spoke up from behind the beast forcing it to spin around and attempt and immediate attack.
What the beast bore witness to forced it to halt its wild swing.
"Umiryu no Kobaruto Ken" Naruto announced his spell as water began spiralling around his already cocked back left hand. "Return back to your cage, return to your new prison," Naruto whispered knowing the beast's senses could hear him over the rushing water his magic was summoning.
What the beast was witnessing was phantasmal image of a gigantic sea dragon roaring churning the Ocean it was residing in, just behind the teen, which caused the beast to not even attempt at dodging or defending itself.
Naruto let his fist fly cracking the beast in the jaw which sent it flying over towards a still near catatonic Mirajane and Lisanna who was trying to drag her sister away.
"Ah shit," Naruto cursed as he activated his demonic eye once more causing it to glow and he was encompassed in a dark green light, with dark green static bursting forth from his right eye.
"Akuma no Me: Kukan Senko," Naruto declared as the spell is named in a green flash Naruto appeared above the beast mid- flight and lashed out with a double stomp to the chest forcing the beast to crash into the floor making a small crater before the feet of the two Fairy Tail mages.
Just Naruto landed a golden light shun out from the crater. Once the light died down Naruto walked into the crater to find Elfman lying on the ground their form batter, bruised, and most importantly alive and unconscious.
"Come on big fella," Naruto spoke up not really expecting an answer as he picked Elfman and placed over his shoulder in a fireman's carry.
"Hey girls your brother, just taking nap right now." Naruto called as he made his over to them.
His call managed to snap Mirajane out of whatever trance she was in as she spotted her brother. Both her and Lisanna sprinted over to the boys as Naruto placed her brother on the floor.
Leaving them to their examination of their sibling Naruto walked over to the man who had become possessed by the beast.
"Falon'Din enasal enaste," Naruto uttered a prayer in his native tongue as he reached for his belt and yanked a small scroll from his belt. The blonde mage unfurled it a placed it on the ground next to the deceased, before moving the body on top of the unfurled scroll.
"Fuin," Naruto called out using his magic instead of chakra to fuel the fuinjutsu, and in a puff of smoke the body had vanished and the scrolled had rolled itself up ready for collection which Naruto promptly did before returning to the Fairy Tail mages.
"So, what's the prognosis," Naruto asked.
"Dislocated jaw, fractured ribs, swelling around the left eye and currently unresponsive but he is breathing, and all the cuts appear to be minor." Mirajane listed off while she wasn't a healing type of mage all S- ranks should know the basics and should be able to spot and discover injuries.
"Alright we will head back into to town, see if they have any healers, if not then we will head to Magnolia and if his conditions gets worse, at all I can keep him in stasis with my magic, until we find a healer at your guild." Naruto came up with a quick plan he did think of Wendy but dismissed that thought as she was still too young, and the Magnolia based guild was a lot closer than his in Worth Woodsea.
"Right," Lisanna nodded as she focussed on her brother.
Naruto just bent down to carry Elfman once more and head back into town. Walking beside Lisanna. Naruto enhanced hearing picked a small muttering.
"Ha, You're welcome." Naruto spoke out to the forest ignoring the weird look the younger Strauss gave him briefly before Mirajane caught up the three as they made their way back to town.
Scene End
A week had past for the four mages who were currently traveling with a band of merchants looking to sell their wares in Magnolia. For some extra security the travelling merchants had a loud the four mages to hitch a ride and this gave Elfman a bed of straw and cart to rest in while either Lisanna or Mirajane tended to him. Naruto was honouring his word and sticking with them until they reach their guild.
Elfman's condition had changed he was had been waking up for very short spells and could only really handle liquids, to keep up his strength. Luckily the town the monster was terrorising had a few doctors who fixed up Elfman as best they could, but after doing all they could, now It was just time.
'Even though he cannot really speak thanks to his jaw I still get an embarrassed vibe from him, then again I guess losing control like that and almost killing a loved one due to your pride could definitely do that.' Naruto paused his thought process to sigh. 'A rival guild they may be, but Mira is a friend and I don't let those close to me down.' The blonde thought as he sat on the roof of a carriage in the middle of the caravan, keeping an eye out for rogues, and brigands.
"Hey Whiskers, we're about an hour away from the city." Mirajane called out, as she leapt onto his carriage and sat down next to blonde.
"That's good to know once we get Elfman to an actual doctor I'm gonna jet back to Woodsea and check on the guild."
"You know you could stick around a bit?" Mirajane said softly, so softly even Naruto didn't catch it.
"I could stick around for a bit maybe you can give me a tour of such a great city." Naruto responded as he laid down as he began staring at the sky and watching the clouds drift on by.
"Shut up Whisker." Mirajane said with very little malice behind her words. "Im just treating for saving my family when I couldn't don't get any funny ideas mister."
"Yare yare he was right bratty women are so troublesome." Naruto uttered with a smile on his face knowing what was coming next.
"Bratty! I'll show you bratty, you whiskered face bastard" Mirajane shouted as she leapt at him tackling him off of the carriage and down a small hill.
This was a common for both the merchants and Lisanna. Naruto would wind up Mirajane who would explode and attack him in some way.
With the two S ranks rolling down the hill wrestling for dominance they finally came to a stop at the base of the slope in a tangle of limbs
"Ha I win." Mirajane called out as she had the Ocean Dragon Slayer pinned.
"Yeah whatever bratty lil' demoness." Naruto sniped back.
"Grr who are you calling bratty you, whiskered punk face."
"Punk face that the best you got." Naruto taunted before he heard a voice in the distance from atop of the hill.
"Mira-nee stop fooling around with your boyfriend in public!" Lisanna shouted out as loud as possible making the whole caravan chuckle at the declaration.
The declaration made Mirajane go from cocky to cherry red.
"He's not my b-boyfriend and we're not f-f-fooling around."
"Awww Mira-chan am I not your type?" Naruto teased before bucking his own hips making her lose balance before flipping them over effectively pinning Mirajane to the ground.
"Hey whats th-"
"How about now," Naruto whispered with a half-lidded eye locking her in place.
Finding herself lost in the amethyst orb she slowly subconsciously nodded along.
But before anything else could go ahead the caravans bell began ringing
"Bandits!" one of the merchants cried out.
Naruto just took a breath before looking back at Mirajane. "Looks like I got to go to work."
Mirajane just blinked as he disappeared in a burst of speed.
Normally she would have followed after him but first she had calm down her beating heart.
'Stupid Lisanna, stupid Whiskered bastard, getting me all hot and bothered,' She thought to herself as she patted her cheeks to try and get them to lose the cherry look.
"Umiryu no Hoko!" Naruto roared in the distance.
Mirajane just sighed as she made her way up the hill to see several bandits knocked out and tied up.
"Glad of you to join us princess." Naruto spoke up as he was back on his original position on top of the middle carriage like nothing had just happened.
"Oh, not again Mirajane keep it in your pants we're almost home." Lisanna teased her big sister.
"ARGGHHHH" Mirajane let out scream before stomping off to the back of the caravan to check up on Elfman.
Both Naruto and Lisanna began giggling and chuckling together at Mirajane's misfortune.
After a while the laughs dwindled down to nothing and the two sat in a comfortable silence.
"I know I haven't known you for very long but thanks for sticking around this past week." Lisanna spoke up earnestly.
"It's all good baby Strauss, it's the right thing to do and even though we're rivals from different guilds, I like to think we're friends. Also, your brother is good kid a bit misguided, but his heart is in the right place." Naruto responded as he continued his cloud watching.
"Mouuu I'm 13, I'm not that much younger than you." Lisanna said with a half pout.
"Still younger than me though ain't ya, kiddo." Naruto teased the younger girl. "And besides I may be sticking around for a couple of weeks since I'm part of the reason your big bro is in his condition, so I'll stick around for a bit. Maybe I'll even meet your dragon slayer boyfriend."
"Eeep, Natsu is not my boyfriend."
"That's not what Mira said," Naruto sang. "Also, it will be nice to meet a fellow slayer."
"Oh yeah you are a dragon slayer like Natsu."
"Something like that."
"But what about your eye magic?"
"That is a long story Lil Strauss and maybe I'll share in the future." Naruto sighed as the walls of Magnolia were coming closer into view. "Now why don't help get Elfman ready to be moved and I'll carry him to the guild alright."
"Right, thanks again." Lisanna said as she nodded before hopping off of the carriage.
"So, this is the famous Fairy Tail guild," Naruto whistled in appreciation as he stood outside the infamous number one guild in Fiore. "Alright come on big guy," Naruto muttered as Elfman had his arm around the blonde's neck as the blonde was supporting the male Strauss to stand on his own two feet.
"Come on let's knock." Lisanna suggested excitement in her voice.
"Hmph," Mirajane just smirk before winding her arm back letting loose a fist that slam the doors wide open.
"We're home!" Mirajane and Lisanna called out.
"Welcome back," was the general response from their guildmates.
Elfman let go of his support and tried to walk on his own two feet all bandaged up he made it five steps before Lisanna had to support him as they walked to the nearest table. Naruto and Mirajane both noticed Elfman's flinch at his sister's support.
Soon the duo was mobbed by their guild mates about this latest mission.
'It's just like home,' Naruto thought back to his own guild welcoming him home after every mission and quest. His little sister badgering him for all of the details and how he saved the day.
Noticing the small smile Mirajane nudged the Cait Shelter ace.
"What's the smile for Whiskers?"
"Nothing, this just feels like home, you know."
It wasn't a question and she knew it, so she just nodded before focusing on her siblings.
"Oi old man where's Master I got to report this latest mission to him," Mirajane called out.
"O-old man, I will have you know I'm still a virile and healthy young man." The man defended.
"Degenerate pervy chain smoking bastard, I'm telling your wife you're hitting on vulnerable innocent maidens."
Wakaba's jaw dropped at the threat made against him by the Demoness of Fairy Tail.
'Innocent and vulnerable my arse.' Was the general thought of everyone who heard that threat. Besides Wakaba who was crying waterfall tears praying to every deity under the sun for Mirajane to spare him.
"Ignoring Wakaba, Master should be in his office on the S rank floor dealing with something important.
"Alright Thanks Macao," Mirajane responded before throwing another dirty look towards Wakaba, before walking back over to Naruto.
A pink haired kid who had latched onto Lisanna's side almost instantaneously stopped his questioning of her quest before sniffing around her.
"Natsu w-w-what are you doing?" Lisanna said with a mortified look on her face "You don't sniff women."
He ignored and carried on sniffing for a few more moments.
"Why do you smell like the sea, and a dragon?"
"Ehh?" Was all Lisanna could say as she couldn't explain what he was smelling.
"I believe this is my moment." Naruto muttered towards the Satan soul user.
"Eh hem," Naruto cleared his throat as he stepped forward drawing the attention onto himself.
"Eh who is that?"
"Is he a new member?"
"Or is he Mira's boyfriend?"
"Noooo! No one will take my demon queen from me!"
Naruto heard everyone one of those comments from the crowd the last one made him turn his head to look at Mirajane with a raised eyebrow only to notice a vein start to throb in her forehead.
"Lisanna why do you smell like that salty bastard?" Natsu spoke up after connecting the scents on her and coming from him.
'Salty?' Naruto thought before sniffing the air ignore the scents of smoke, booze and regular humans and focused the pink haired kid. "Ash, charcoal, singed hair. You're the son of Igneel ain't ya."
"Igneel, do you know him? Do you know where he is?"
"Nope, don't know him & I don't know where he is. I've heard about him through my mother Tiamat the Dragon Queen of the Salt Sea, Lord of Chaos."
"Huh."
"You haven't met my Mother Tiamat, have you? Any other dragons have ya?" Naruto asked out curiosity already expecting a no but just incase.
"Come on Whiskers, we got to report to Master Makarov. He should be in the office upstairs."
Before Natsu could respond Naruto had a smile on his face.
"Strauss women, so bossy am I right." Naruto made a joke causing Lisanna to pout and Mirajane to frown.
"But."
"Don't worry son of Igneel we can catch up later and compare notes." Naruto said as he walked past the younger dragon slayer alongside Mirajane to head to the second floor where the Fairy's guild master was supposed to be residing.
"Hey isn't he a Cait Shelter mage?"
"Is it?"
"Yeah he appeared in Sorcerer's weekly in a line up with the all of the top guilds aces."
"Oh yeah is he really that mage, I figured he would have been older."
'Ah Yeah I remember that,' Naruto thought as he heard more mumbles from the people he had walked past as he followed after Mirajane. He had to do some publicity for his guild and got to be on a photo shoot with Jura of Lamia Scale, Ichiya of Blue Pegasus Nova of Phantom Lord. 'If I remember Fairy Tail's ace was the only one not to show up.'
As the duo made it passed everyone it seemed the whole guild went silent as the two made it up the staircase.
"Is it always like this?"
"Yeah pretty much."
"Alright well after we inform your Master, I'm gonna call mine then find a place to rent or a motel or something." Naruto spoke up as he placed both arms behind his head and closed his eyes missing the girl clench her fist and clench her teeth.
"No."
"No?"
"Nope."
"Nope?"
"That's right no. Are you going to copy me all day?" Mirajane huffed.
"You're going to stay with us, we have more than enough space and it's the least we could do for the assist and this past week."
Naruto stood there mouth slightly agape as he watched as Mirajane lay than the law like she used to whenever they bumped into each other on missions.
"My so demanding and straight forward, how bold of you." Naruto teased.
"Just shut up and come on." Mirajane snapped spinning on her heel and stomping off towards the office door. Refusing to show off the heat and redness hitting her cheeks.
"Yare, Yare such a tsundere."
"GAH!" Mirajane cried before reaching the door and knocking.
"Come in" a voice called from inside.

NGL Always wanted to do my own dragonslayer variant of Naruto
So, some info this Naruto is a reincarnated, but something went wrong as he has all of his memories from his shinobi life. In this new life he was reborn into a clan of Elves with a different curse hanging above his head. As mentioned in the summary he was abandoned by his parents/Clan raised by a dragon. He is the oldest of the 1st Generation Dragon Slayers.
Now Naruto is not Gildarts is level yet as just because you're your guilds ace not all top mages are on the same level. With his combat experience from his previous life along with being trained underneath a dragon he is pretty powerful for a teen
Naruto is the same age as Mirajane and Erza. So, at cannon he will be 19 pushing on 20
Anyone who has read or seen Soul Eater should get the demonic eye and if you have played Inquisition then you should know of Fen'Harel
Next chapter is going to be a time skip as we will be jumping into Canon.
Also should the attacks be in English or Japanese i'm good with either
